Worst rental experience I've ever had. Paid my deposit and tried to use different credit card to pay for rest of rental and wasn't allowed. After only 3 days I start getting unauthorized charges on my credit card, and after only 6 days I get angry voice mails and emails threatening legal action against me for a balance of $240. By far the absolute worst customer service ive ever had in my 30+ years of dealing with any business ever. I recommend you use ANY other car rental company than this one. I was not hit with any surprise fees, or charges jjst the absolute worst customer experience of my life. read more

The employees at this Enterprise are phenomenal! From when I was picked up from the body shop, until Eric dropped me off (when I returned the car) - the service was top notch. I had several heavy bags that I didn't want to leave in my car while it was being worked on, and Eric was so nice to assist. We even had another passenger in the car that insisted she had to go to Hertz, and Eric was very professional and assisted the lady. When it was time to pick up my car, it was minutes to closing, everyone was patient and reassured me I didn't need to worry. I cannot express how kind and pleasant Eric was during an extremely stressful situation. See it was just about time to close and I needed cash an Eric took the stress out of the whole equation! I needed a rental car after my wife got into an accident. My car was in the shop at king o'rourke near by, getting body work done. They picked Me up there on time and drove me to the store front. I was checked in quickly and with no issues. My wife had already set everything up ahead of time with Allstate so I just had to give them my credit card to have on file. I needed the car for 4 days. It was a brand new Elantra with 200 miles on it. I actually enjoyed driving it. At the the end , check out was like 2 mins and it cost me $21 total for tax ( the rest was covered by insurance). Would give zero stars if I could. I received a rental car through them while my car was being serviced at Bi-county auto body. This car was to be covered through my insurance (geico) at an allowance of $50 per day. I asked for a car that would be covered through my policy. First car they give me was a beat up XL Suburban. Not only was it about 3x the size of the car I normally drive, but it REAKED of marijuana, the windshield wipers were broken, and the car was filthy. Being that I drive my 3 year old around in it, it was unacceptable. I called the next day asking to exchange this rental for something smaller and more suitable. They told me they had nothing and to call back after lunch time. So, I called back.. and they told me to bring the car in and they would switch it. Cue the Jeep Wrangler soft-top. Now, this car was smaller and easier for me to navigate, however a soft top Jeep Wrangler with no running boards to hop up into the car.... is not really appropriate for a woman who is 8 months pregnant. Or for getting a 3 year old in and out of... but I dealt with it for the remainder of the rental because they had nothing else. This car too, was filthy... like it had just done some off road mudding. A few days in the tire light came on, and my husband had the air replenished. Then, a week after returning the rental... I notice $450 was fraudulently charged to my credit card. I call my insurance company to make sure there was no misunderstanding, and they too were charged $800. So, I called enterprise and they told me "we don't have the paperwork on file so we will give you a call in 3-5 business days". Guess what, no call! I disputed the charge with my credit card company to find out that they submitted paperwork stating I signed up for some supplemental insurance... and the car they put me in wasn't completely covered by my insurance. WHY would I sign up for supplemental insurance when I already have insurance coverage? They did not have one piece of paper with my signature stating this, no written up contract, and no one informed me they were putting me into a car that exceeded my daily insurance benefit coverage. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The employees are scam artists, and were even joking about "loosing a car for 2 days and having no idea where it was" thanks to their incompetence. Unacceptable. read more

It's easier, much less problems to walk down the street and rent a car if you are having you car fixed at Bi-County auto body. I know the desk is inside the auto body shop, and this looks easy, but it's not. Cha Ching in up-charges. My insurance paid them but still I got a huge bill for nonsense, things covered by my credit card. No response from mgr. when called. read more

Rented a car for a week. requested a SUV, so before I went to pick it up I called to ask they said yes it was available when I got to the location there were no SUVs I left with the car and then had to go back a day later to get SUV. I was then charged for extra protection on the vehicle (800$) when I declined their answer was there was "a glitch in the system " it took me over four weeks to get the money refunded to my credit card. Also had to call at least 10 times . Advice to anyone renting through Enterprise, make sure you repeat yourself and ask for a large copy of any extras you asked for. read more

It felt like we were almost bothering the assistant branch manager by asking vital questions regarding the different cars, corporate rates, and even basic insurance. Right when I walked into this place and certain things had happened made me think of yelp and how I should review this place. First this lady picked me up at a collision shop so I can get my rental. She even opened the car door foor me. The car ride to enterprise was not awkward and silent at all...but I was thinking eek I hope she won't get sick from me. I tried to play it cool and pretend I didn't look sick...or hope I didn't look or sound the part. Upon arrival once I got inside a nice gentleman got out of his sit with a nice smile to introduce himself to me with a nice firm handshake. Every employee who appeared after that out of no where all said hi, introduce themselves and shook my hand. I thought, wow...what great customer service rep they have at this location. I have had fabulous experience at Smithtown enterprise. I have used their service for at least 4 times now and it gets better every time.I got a free upgrade to a full size last time. My recent rental gave me a brand new vehicle with just 30 miles on it! I was given pickup and drop every time, right on time. The staff are very courteous and service excellent. I was then told by someone responding to my complaint that I would receive a call back by 4/10/2015... over a week later. Guess what? It;s 4/11/2015 and shocker! No call back. Spoke with Joe last week made a reservation and even asked for A reservation number. So what happens I show up with my confirmation number and they have no record of the reservation even though I have a number. I decided obviously this is run by a bunch of amateurs who are stupid so I decided to go to another Company and even though I walked in right off the street I had less aggravation. I had my car immediately unlike the Smithtown enterprise Rent-A-Car. They lost my business for ever can't waste my time with a bunch of incompetent idiots who cant make a reservation. I should've known this Joe was unpleasant to start off with I should've known he couldn't get a reservation right.
