I don't know where all my reviews went, but I'm fine with this being the first one that shows up for some reason. I rented from the tunnel road Enterprise a year or so ago and just had a negative experience with someone that's no longer there so I just started renting from the other locations. I'm a frequent renter sometimes renting as many as six or seven times a month. I rented from the tunnel road Enterprise, the last three times. And they have their stuff together. I really appreciate them. Especially Sierra and Jillian and I wish I knew the other guy's name that took care of us several times before but I highly recommend that location. You need to rent your pick up trucks probably about a week in advance if you're wanting specifically a pickup truck but once you get how their system works with returns, you can get what you're looking for. Abysmal. Made a reservation 3 weeks in advance in conjunction with a cross-country military move. I received a phone call 48 hours prior to pick-up stating they may or may not honor the reservation based on inventory. Upon arrival, the receptionist informed me that my booking was canceled--though they could not confirm who canceled it... It appears evident that Enterprise canceled my reservation after our previous phone call. They were unable to offer any vehicles but encouraged me to wait at the office in the event of another party's booking cancellation. It is my highest recommendation that future customers look elsewhere. I regret not working with a more reputable and reliable provider. read more

I have been renting cars here for a while. I have always been able to leave my personal car parked there for the overnight trip. My vehicle was stolen out of the parking lot and no one at enterprise cared. The police asked for video footage and wow; the cameras do not work there. I have made calls in and sent emails to speak with GM and no response. This business is in a terrible location with all the homeless hanging around. But to not even care about the frequent customer or even protecting their own assets that are parked in their lot and getting their security cameras working is pathetic! No more enterprise for me! Renters beware. And on another note; the rental was reserved in advance and pickup time was specified due to traveling to meeting. Arrived 10 minutes before my reservation time but still had to wait 30 minutes more for them to "clean" the car. While waiting in the lobby, the representative at the front desk was not professional at all. The language from his mouth was not a good representation of quality customer service. Great place to rent a car, they have always been very accommodating for our car rentals. However, don't get into an accident, even when it's not your fault. They will leave you high and dry. Horrible..had to go due to a car crash the insurance company sent us here...got there they not only had given our car away they said 2 days before another would be available...last time had to go through 3 cars to get one that did not smell of smoke or weed...yes we were late picking up the car but in these times how do control airlines...not to mention why not just charge the insurance company as we were not paying thank god ! read more

actually a half a star..... they do not tell you everything about the rental process ..... the insurance company pays for the rental but you still pay for the things that they don't tell that they charge you for.... my example..... insurance that rented the car for me paid a little over $700.00 and they charged me almost $500.00 for something that they never told me that they was a fee for until I turned the rental car in and charged my credit card. I kinda got a rude awakening when I checked to see if they had refunded the $50.00 deposit back to my credit card. so for roughly 20 days they made almost $1200.00 dollars..... I give them a half a star only because the gentleman explained why they are a ripoff. read more

Hello Christian Cameron, Thank you for your email. I am currently trying to resolve a complaint I have in regards to this claim. I called customer service to complain about the lack of follow through of a promise to a USAA customer by the manager of the enterprise in Candler NC. We rented a vehicle in Sevierville TN and dropped the car off in Candler NC. While renting the car, We purchased a vehicle from Ken Wilson Ford in Canton NC. The dealer at ford called the manager of the candler enterprise to pick up the car which the enterprise manager promise would happen. The vehicle was not picked up and the ford dealer called again, no pick up day two. I returned to the dealership, picked up the enterprise vehicle and returned the car myself. While the car sat at Ford it was damaged. I feel the damage to enterprise's vehicle would have been avoided if the manager of the candler enterprise would have picked up the vehicle as promised. It was basically a bait and switch. I can only hope customer service at enterprise is as diligent at contacting customers as damage recovery. I will work with enterprise on payment but I would like to see if customer service is going to compensate me for the utterly abysmal customer service provided at enterprise. Added, I hope not to use enterprise, Alamo or the other rental company mentioned in your previous email going forward. read more

What is the point of reserving a car when you don't honor it? This unfortunately has happened to me several times with Enterprise with the most recent one leaving me stranded hours away from home. The best part of this review is that they will respond with we are sorry but we can't always grantee a car will be available even if you have one reserved. Great business model. If you don't want to have to cross your fingers in hopes of having a car even if you secure one go with another company. I have switched to Hertz and so far they have been so much better. read more

TWICE....yes, TWICE in one trip we had a car reserved MONTHS in advance and showed up and they had no cars to give us. Once in Jackson Hole, where they literally told us too bad and to Uber to IDAHO and that it would be an expensive Uber. NO KIDDING!!! THATS WHY WE RESERVED A CAR!! On the way home we reserved days in advance a car in Atlanta to get us to Greenville, SC and yet again they had no car when we showed up...leaving us stranded in ATL!!!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have rented with Enterprise in most major American cities from coast to coast and I have NEVER experienced such horrible customer service as I did at this specific location. On December 20, I rented a car at this location. After receiving confirmation, I got a call 20 minutes later to tell me there were no cars available except for a pickup truck. When I requested that at the very least, the "manager" charge me the same price as I was quoted, he said "that's not happening" and literally hung up on me. I called back multiple times only to be sent straight to the location's voicemail. This is just not the way you deal with customers. There's a Budget just down the road go there instead. Avoid these people at all costs!! Oh and one more thing. You'll notice I've attached a photo of yelp's "response" to this very review below. I can assure you that it is automated as I received the same "concerned response" on my Google review. They never responded or followed up after asking me for my reservation number and additional information...and I'm sure they never will. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I went in today to book a rental car they told me I needed proof of a utility bill or a pay stub, don't know why I need that all of a sudden when I just rented a car from this exact location every month for the past 6 months and they have not requested this information not once. I also asked them why did they not contact me prior letting me know I needed this information this particular time because nobody has this information on hand they could not answer. As the conversation went on I expressed how I was unsatisfied with the service and how every time I come to this enterprise it's always an inconvenience. I stepped outside to talked to corporate and express my concerns. They told me they would fix the issue and send a note over to enterprise so I could go back in there to get the rental car. I went back in and waited for 15 minutes just for the manager Alster (I think I spelled his name correctly) to refuse me service and tell me I can not book with them nomore because I am not satisfied with their service. Mind you an older white women also expressed how she was unsatisfied with they service as all, they accommodated her and gave her 50% off. Not once did a raise my voice, cuss or cause a scene. read more

No one came to pick me up nor did I receive an eta call. I called to see what was up. I was on hold forever. Then they closed. That is awful business. Similar to what others have written, we had a reservation and were called 5 min before we picked up to say there were no cars available. When I called back to ask about filing a complaint, the person I spoke to said to call national line and then hung up before I could respond. Meanwhile the national line had me on hold for more than 10 minutes, ironically looping a commercial about how Enterptise is unique in that it is family owned and treats customers like they would want to be treated, then disconnected me without me ever reaching an agent. Way to lose a customer for life who will be very vocal with friends and family about never using Enterprise. read more

I've rented from this location twice a year since 2008. I've always had a good experience in the past. When I picked up my car last week, it was very dirty on the outside. There was thick mud splattered all over the car. The man who helped me said it was because they can't wash the cars when it's below freezing and that the inside had been cleaned. No discount was offered. We washed the car ourselves. I suspect the inside hadn't been cleaned either. There were crumbs on the backseat and in the console. There were other signs that it hadn't been cleaned: no tag on the rear view mirror and no Wet Ones packet in the cup holder. We saw there would be bad weather on our return trip, and had difficulty changing our return time online. I tried all week to call the branch but they were unreachable. When I returned the car, I told them the car was dirty inside and out. Not even an apology and no discount offered. Much lower customer service standards. Unfriendly and cold compared to past experiences. read more

Reservation I made several weeks ahead was claimed by shop to be only a "hold" despite fact that I had a reservation number. Staff in past has been friendly but this time seemingly unwilling to help me. I suspect because it was a low rental rate on an insurance claim. Two stars for the super friendly agents that tried very hard to help. WARNING: Corporate does not give employees, even managers, the flexibility to assist customers, by locking the booking system. Don't try to extend or exchange your reservation because they will charge you an outrageous fee and make you come BACK to exchange your vehicle for the exact same model. Here's what happened. I rented a Kia on July 15, 2018 at the Asheville location for one week for $290. A family member became very ill and could not drive back to Charlotte, so I needed to extend for 1 day with a different return location. I expected to pay a return fee, but upon inquiry, the rate would be $350 for the ONE DAY! The agent told me that employees have no flexibility in adjusting rates and suggested that I make a new reservation for the 1 day. Great idea, but I was an hour from the location in a mountain cabin. I made the one day reservation for $110 on-line, not $350. So I thought, easy call 1-800 and ask to keep the same vehicle. Oh NO! I was told that I had to come and switch out vehicles (almost a two hour drive!) To make matters worse, my husband had a 6 am flight and the location was closed, so I had to drive twice. With so many rental car choices, I can not understand why Enterprise is micromanaging and not allowing managers the flexibility to help customers. This experience was ridiculous and unless I get a reply from corporate that shows steps to make a change, I will use another company. Any suggestions? read more

There were some miscommunications with the Enterprise after hours help line, but I called the location when they opened the next day and Holly was super helpful with fixing my drop off time. I also had to call with a few questions about my receipts and Alex was also super helpful! The experience I had at this location eased a lot of anxiety I had with the whole car rental process. Everyone was extremely helpful and the process was super easy despite them being presumably understaffed/stressed due to high volume of customers. I appreciate y'all at enterprise! read more

Worst experience ever with Enterprise. I actually waited a whole year to post this review because I actually respect the company. But this particular office I had a very bad experience. Rude from the start and when given the keys she actually told me, in from of other customers no less, not to do anything illegal in the car. My experience with them was excellent. I really liked their pickup service. I called several times to arrange the pick-up because i changed my mind where and when they should meet me and they were very patient with me and the pick up went smoothly. The car they gave me was great (Toyota Corolla) and Amanda was very helpful answering all my questions, very patiently. She even suggested a place to buy a vent holder for my cell phone. My wife and I have called this location multiple times and stayed on for three minutes each call only to be sent to voicemail. I have to call to make a reservation because the military discount is not available online. This location has wasted enough of my time, and will no longer get my business. I will be going with one of their competitors, though I won't say which one because I don't want my post to loose any credibility. I reserved a luxury car for a long trip. We got a monster SUV instead which the agent referred to as a luxury car. It was in no way a luxury car and it was a gas guzzler. He said we could wait while he tried to locate another vehicle but who can wait when you're on a schedule! This type of thing is poor customer service! Nearly 5 months after the initial rental of a van, I am still dealing with this claim! Horrible!

Reserved a car after my son's car was totaled. When we got there, there wasn't a car available. Then one rolled up on the lot and they did a quick inspection and sent us on our way. This car was not clean and smelled of cigarettes, so I'm guessing their "quick inspection" was just that and no Disinfecting or cleaning was done before the car was re-rented. We had it for a week and a half and was used to go back and forth to work only. It was not taken out of state or even out of Buncombe county. We returned the vehicle, got our deposit back and 2 hours later they miraculously find hail damage and tell me to submit a claim to my insurance. Because I don't want to pay $3000.00 and some change out of pocket, I send the claim to Progressive. I advised them there wasn't a hail storm in Asheville and there wasn't enough miles put on the vehicle to have gone out of state (Kentucky being the closest state to have gotten hail during the time we had the vehicle per Progressive) I hope they deny the claim and Enterprise has to eat the cost of the damage. DON'T RENT FROM THIS ENTERPRISE. They are a bunch of shady asses! Lesson learned, taking full videos of any car rented in the future!!!! But sure as shit it won't be from Enterprise. read more

I would like to start out by saying, most of my reviews are usually positive. Whether that is a review of a product or of a business, I hope that my experience will help others make an informed decision, in the same manner that I use reviews to shape my decisions. However my experience with Enterprise Car Rental on Tunnel Road in Asheville, NC was not positive. I was dealing with Sara the manger at that location. My wife called the rental company a week earlier and made an appointment for Enterprise to meet me at the collision company to get my rental car, my wife spoke to Ginger. While I was sitting in my car at the collision company, Enterprise was no were to be found. After sitting there for 10 minutes I called Enterprise and asked when I could expect them. They said the appointment was not confirmed, I told them that it was, and Ginger confirmed it with my wife. He called me back and said he is on his way. I waited about 35 minutes in addition to my 10 minutes before my call. Because they failed to establish the original appointment I was given a large white gas guzzling van as a last alternative, and the radio did not even work, its unpleasant working all week without a radio. The following week the collision company called and said the my wife's car was finished. I called Enterprise and spoke to Sara and she told me to bring the rental car in. After I got there and the rental was inspected for any dings, while I was sitting there I asked when we were going to leave; Sara said they were waiting for Tony to return. She called Tony and he said about 15 minutes. I was a little upset I had to wait 15 or 20 minutes to be driven back to my wife's car, after I had just spoken to Sara and she told me to bring the car in. Sara said you don't have to wait. I asked what does that mean, I can walk? She said it is a courtesy for us to drive you back so you don't have to wait. I ask Sara, "As a manager is this how you treat your customers?" Like I said you don't have to wait. I said ok Sara let me share my Enterprise experience with you so far, and I went on to tell her about the mix up from the very beginning and the wait time I already had, which I explained above. At that she turned to the other employee that checked in the rental Van I returned and said he can drive you back, I said thanks. I wanted to share my experience with you so you don't have to go through this. It was insulting to be treated in such an unprofessional manner by the manager Sara. Enterprise was referred to me by my insurance company; I will also pass this info unto them. read more
