THIS LOCATION WILL TRY TO PIN EXISTING DAMAGE ON YOU. AVOID. I rented a small compact car for the day to drive around Auburn. The provided car was a black Mitsubishi Mirage with dents, scrapes, rust damage, missing hubcaps, and other issues all over the vehicle. I pointed out the larger more noticeable areas of damage, and the attendant quipped back "Don't worry about it, I have it all marked on the form." So I decided to trust him and took a quick 360 video of the car notating the damage all over the vehicle. Drove it for the day without any issues and returned the vehicle after hours in the key dropbox, and decided to take another assessment video just in case. These guys call me back 2 days later and tell me there's an issue with the car and that there's NEW DAMAGE on the driver's side and that I'm now liable for repairs. I've never damaged a vehicle in my life and have returned every car in spotless condition. They give me a piece of shit car with scratch damage all over and now tell me I need to pay to have existing damage on one area of the car repaired. I told them to send me photos of the damage and that I have both before and after videos showcasing the entire car. After an hour they respond with an apology because they reviewed previous photos and it is indeed existing. You seriously couldn't do your job and reviewed those photos before harassing your customers? This place is a fucking clown show. read more

Dupree and Patrick are All Stars!! After I was in a really bad car accident, I had to get up and moving to retrieve my items in my car that was towed away since I was taken away by ambulance. I got set up through my insurance about 5 in the morning the day after my accident. A few hours later, I received a call from Patrick at normal business hours letting me know that they would have a car ready and he wanted to know what time I would be getting there. When I arrived I was greeted by Dupree. This location was spotless. He was awesome to talk to. Fast and efficient. He showed sympathy towards my situation. I really appreciated that. I told him my past experience at this location had me waiting for almost an hour. He had a that seem to really make this visit so much better. He pulled up my reservation and found me a vehicle quickly. Patrick took me out to the vehicle. We did the inspection. He was through checking it over and explain the documents I was signing. ** About a week later, I walked in and spoke to David. I asked if Enterprise sold any of their vehicles. He set me up with Claire at the Roseville Enterprise car sales location the same day! Let's just say I did end up buying a new vehicle thanks to David and Claire!!! These 3 are an epic team!! I've used Enterprise many times in the past (mostly at the Citrus Heights location), and honestly, I never had great experiences, so I didn't have high expectations this time around. After moving to Foresthill and being involved in a recent accident, my insurance set me up with a three-week rental through the Auburn Enterprise branch. I'm very grateful they did, because my experience here completely changed my view of the company. From day one, DuPri provided truly exceptional service. He personally picked us up from Caliber Collision, brought us to the Auburn office, and helped us get into a vehicle that perfectly met our needs (a large SUV with 4-wheel drive, important since we live up in the mountains). He explained everything clearly, was friendly, patient, and just overall great to work with. Halfway through my rental, the vehicle I was set up with had a manufacturer recall. DuPri notified me quickly and made the exchange process incredibly smooth. I was in and out with a new car within minutes. I accidentally left an important key in the original rental vehicle, and he went above and beyond to make sure it was returned to me! (Basically saving me from humiliation and a crazy panic attack). His professionalism, communication, and kindness made this entire process stress-free during what could've been a very frustrating situation. I genuinely wish every Enterprise employee offered this level of care. If I'd had experiences like this in the past, I would've never formed a negative opinion of the company. usually I love renting from this location, even though I've heard some not great things. but newer reviews have been better. not a problem since it's the only rental in Auburn. But this one was a nightmare. first I was charged for damage waiver $23.99 but I was NEVER asked if I wanted it - and I didn't. then this morning when I brought the car back I hadn't gotten the gas topped off. I couldn't. all the gas stations were closed because the whole county hqd no electricity. couldn get gas anywhere. I sent notes to Enterprise through different means. but they still charged me the outrageous fee they charge if you don't bother to fill the tank. I used hardly any of the gas, I think it would have been about $10 not $22.35. I feel very ripped off! I was only renting because my car is broken - as if I could afford another big bill. Plus this is the only Enterprise that does not provide a pick up or drop off so I've had to find rides like crazy. It has been the hugest pain. so annoyed! read more

Over 40 minutes late to pick up after making a reservation. Over 10 minutes on phone hold. One time was told 15 minutes for pick up. Second time was told 5 minutes. The standard excuse, " we are short staffed. " Then I had to wait in line another 20 minutes in line to get the car. The staff are very nice but Enterprise staff scheduling needs improvement! This location is very stingy with their cars. We had a breakdown and needed a new suv vehicle. They only offered us a super small compact car. Even with multiple SUV's on their lot that the Enterprise Roadside Assistance said they had. We had to cram our contents into a small car up to the top without being able to see out the back window. We still had over 1000 miles to go on our trip. I'm my experience, if you have a failure or problem the company should resolve it with an upgrade, not a downgrade. So disappointed. They should have the employees wear badges that state "not my job, not my problem". Reserved a car and when I arrived they were no cars available. Employee told me to "call around" to other locations. (Response to manager) My problem wasn't that there were no cars available but the lack of willingness of the employee to help find a location with a car available... luckily we have google and I was able to find a car, but it's pretty sad that employees are clearly not encouraged to assist customers outside of "what they can control". read more

Selection of cars is good, car was clean and fast to pickup/drop off.This Enterprise is the hardest to get in and out of. Right off Hwy 49 so when there's traffic it's hard to turn off onto their road. The parking lot is always full since they share it with other businesses. To the point that you most of the time can't park to get dropped off or picked up and just end up blocking the middle of their parking lot. read more

Last week, I had to use a rental car for a few days while my car was in the shop. I had a reservation for an Economy class car and called ahead of time to make a special request to make sure they have a small car for me that morning. (Rental agencies often don't have a lot of small cars and offer a larger car for the same price.) Don promised that he would do his best to have one for me. As before, they gave me a ride from the auto shop without having to wait a long time. Don had a compact car ready when I got there and explained basic things about the car I was not familiar with. When I dropped it off a couple days later, Josh immediately gave me a ride back to the shop. Both Don and Josh were professional, courteous, and made me feel well taken care of. Absolutely the WORST experience at renting a vehicle. Reservation confirmed online in the morning for a 10am pick up and the assistant manager calls to tell me they need more time to get vehicles in and cleaned. At 12:15 pm I'm in the office being asked for proof of residency, after being picked up by the shuttle service at my home where my documentation is stored...what a stupid time to ask for that. I leave to go get the requested paperwork and lose my reservation, only to be told I'd have to wait for vehicles to come in again. And as I call back to confirm, no one answers my calls. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of care I received yesterday at this location. I parked my personal vehicle in front of Enterprise yesterday while I rented a car and headed to Sonoma for a business trip. Upon returning I realized my car had been involved in a hit and run in the parking lot. Not a small accident. As you can see from the photo, my car was physically moved upon impact. The driver got out, looked at the damage, and had to peel his bumper off mine. Then parked next to me and shopped at Oreilly auto parts next door (according to a witness/employee of Oreilly). The Enterpise staff were informed of the accident and do take a photo of the drivers license plate - but didn't not attempt to get his info or call the police! And he was there for a good 20 minutes!!! I was informed by the staff that "you park at your own risk" - totally get that, but common decency and common sense says to do the right thing. I'm certain they would have handled this quite differently if it was one of their vehicles!!!! I was pretty much told they didn't know it was a customers car - so oh well. Just so dissapointed. If they had taken the extra step I wouldn't be paying $1000 to my car insurance for my deductible right now. No empathy, no concern from their end. Overstaffed with boneheads. I was returning a defective car (fortunately the person I rented from was able to fix the situation) and the staff at this location at first tried to tell me the car had been damaged (I had a copy of my rental to show it was in the same condition I rented it in, I'd even put in gas). They then refused to close the ticket, either from inexperience or simple laziness, and gave me a business card with initials to show I'd returned the car?! I've had problems with this same location in the past as they seem to not be very service oriented. Nice cars on lot. Shame. I'd definitely use a different location if the choice was there. Better yet they responded to this yelp and after a string of messages it was the same run around. I'd actually give them ZERO stars at this point. Waste of time! read more

Rented a 15 passenger van in Burlingame, CA for our family of 14 on Wednesday. Excited for our trip to the Lake on Thursday we stayed at a Marriott nearby and packed and loaded our van for the day. Leaving our hotel with 12 hungry kids ready for a jump start breakfast we were ready to start our day. As we turned on the 2020 Ford Transit 15 passenger van, we couldn't get our van to kick into gear, it was like it was stuck in neutral. The van would catch a gear than jolt and move a few feet before cruising back into neutral again. With stress levels high, worry for our kids becoming super overwhelming and our day at the lake slipping away along with our Jetski rental guy also calling and threatening to take our deposit for not meeting him on time, this 8 month pregnant mama was definitely not having the best time & on the verge of a meltdown. We called Enterprise Roadside Assistance for help and the agent informed us that she could come tow the van but there were NO cars available in the area to fit our big family, also it would take about 4-5 hours to maybe get a small vehicle. She requested we call the Burlingame office to see if they could help, they were kind but could Not help us as well but did stay on the line with us as we pushed it to the nearest enterprise office. By this point I'm crying and kids are hungrier and getting crankier. We looked up the nearest Enterprise and seen it was a mile away so we coasted there on pure luck and was met by the awesome lifesaving agent, ERIC. Seeing the worry and stress in our faces (even with masks on) he was kind, helpful and very professional. He too let us know there was nothing available as he looked at our van full of 12 kids ages 15 months -18. Typing away on his computer with our anxious and eager faces in front of him couldn't have been easy for him but Somehow he worked his magic and was able to give us another 15 passenger van that was on their lot (unreserved) he was definitely an answered prayer and we are so very grateful for his kindness and especially his willingness to help. needed to rent a car to go to Nevada for the day. Enterprise made it easy and hassle free. The car i got was brand new with only 15000 miles on it.. It was all clean and smelled nice.. No smoke odors.. it ran perfect and air conditioner was cold so we weren't affected by the heat of the nevada desert at all.. The staff was super nice and friendly.. BEWARE...You Might run into problems renting here. I Reserved a car in advance, when got there, they only had one vehicle which was not what I wanted. Also was charged an extra $100. to go from Auburn Ca to Tracy, only less than 2 hours away. Didn't make sense. Was told because it was Considered the Bay area. The problem was, they gave me a convertible Camaro, (nice car) but not what I wanted. Ok, I took the car thinking I will drive with top down... WRONG. I took it, Packed trunk with a few grocery's and my bag and such. Got to my destination, trunk would not open, Could not call ANY enterprises since it was Memorial Day Weekend. I rented it from Fri-Tues. I called road side asst. from Enterprise, They could not open trunk, My groceries were ruined, I could not change clothing, all my belongings, cards, money, grocery's, etc were in the trunk. On Tues. finally talked to Manager, who told me to take it to a Chevy dealership, which Chevy told me I could not take it there because it was not my car. I went on a wild ride, calling, and going from place to place, just so someone would open the trunk, It wasn't till 2 days later finally Chevy opened it. It was a hassle calling and going from place to place, my time, leaving work early, gas, etc. Why couldn't Enterprise do all this for me? I told Erick the manager, I was going to make a complaint report. He told me go ahead, they will send the report back to me, I will make the decision anyway. I sent the complaint in, I have not heard of, or received any replies back. Don't take chances on renting there. They don't have a big selection of cars to rent . I would rather go to Hertz or any other rent a car. Never will I rent from Enterprise again.!!I BEWARE. read more

After waiting for a week to hear from another rental agency about a replacement vehicle after an accident, they finally called and said their Auburn branch was closed due to Covid-19 and I would have to pick up the car in Roseville during my work hours. I called my insurence and asked them to switch me over to Enterprise instead. Within 15 minutes a very nice gentleman called me and I was able to arrange a rental, even allowing me to come in and check the cars, as I am short and can not always see the front end of the car. The rental went smoothly and the car was very clean and drove well. I had to extend my time twice due to unexpected problems with my car and everyone there was kind and courteous. Kudos to Kevin, Andrew and Maddy for making a difficult situation so much easier. Would highly recommend this business! read more

After my car was attacked by a suicidal deer, I was in need of a car for what I thought might be a couple weeks. Because of parts shortages, it was seven weeks before my car was repaired. I went straight to Enterprise in Auburn because I had rented from them before and was very happy with their service. I rented an SUV to start with but when I realized I was going to have to pay for it myself since my insurance had a limit, I downsized. I rented two different cars. They were both clean and in excellent condition, ran great and were a pleasure to drive. The service I received from Don and Josh was top notch. They took the time to explain the charges and to show me all the features of the cars. They made it easy to extend my rental when my car wasn't ready when I'd originally hoped. I wouldn't consider going any place else when or if I need another rental car. read more

My husband got in an accident the night before & our car is not driveable, at 9am we began calling Enterprise in Grass Valley & after 1/2 if verifying all info & reservation they then called back & told us they didn't have any vehicles available. We then called Enterprise in Auburn & again after another 1/2 plus got our reservation & my daughter & family drove us 30 minutes to rent a car. We arrive at 10:30 our scheduled pick up time & are told they don't have our reservation & that they have no vehicles available but, if we wait till noon when they close they might possibly have a vehicle then! Needless to say we were pissed! Our family then drive us the 1 1/2 hrs home! I'll never call nor rent from Enterprise again! read more

After reading negative reviews I have to admit I went in totally prepared for a negative experience but instead in every way it was pleasant! I was greeted upon entrance and again acknowledged they'll be right with me as I waited. Then it was a quick and smooth transaction getting my vehicle, in fact they gave me an even better vehicle when I expressed concerns over fitting a car seat and stroller and family etc long term. There's was no usual extra pressure for insurance purchase or anything I was in & off driving in a perfectly clean vehicle with in 15 min of arrival!
