Well, I'm not surprised that Avis in Rocklin has crappy reviews. I also had a bad experience. Had to have my car dealship reserve a car for me. First car they gave me smelled so bad. It smelled of cigarettes with whatever spray the used to cover it up. Every time I got in the car it gave me the worst headache. I had to return it and exchanged for another vehicle. Then the other car they gave me decided to do a settings update and would not allow me to access the air conditioner for 2 1/2 days in 103 degree weather. I called the store on Saturday and it just closed. I called the main customer service number and they could not find my reservation. I didn't have any info provided to me about reservations number. I could not exchange the vehicle till Monday. My car dealerships was advised of the problem and I showed them. My dealership returned to Avis and advised them. Avis of Rocklin charged me full price for the rental even when I called them personally and told them of the problem. They said it was user error and accused me of lying. They said the car was fine when my dealership brought it back which was a complete lie. They said that women don't know how to operate different cars. OMG, if I could kick that guy in the balls. Manager is horrible and told me to contact main company. Redirect the problem and not taking any responsibility. HORRIBLE PLACE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE Then on top of that they charged me. read more

Unpleasant staff who engage in outright deceptive practices. Prepare to get charged extra for something, one way or another, if you rent here. I've rented many cars in many places (usually airports) and have never been outright scammed like I was at the Rocklin Avis & Budget. There's an Enterprise less than two miles away-- they're professional and courteous. Go there instead. read more

Do not rent from Budget/Avis in Rocklin. I had a reservation and confirmation number for a rental to pick up today. The office called this morning to say the reservation was cancelled because they had no cars to rent. Instead of trying to help me find a car at another Avis office, the unhelpful young lady said it was my fault because I made the reservation on their website and told me I should find alternatives myself. I reserved a rental car through Costco, which referred me to this rental agency. Upon arrival, I was told they were unable to take a debit card for payment; and there was nothing they could do. There was no manager to speak with, etc. I gave my debit card over the phone when reserving with no problem. Very frustrating. Made a 3 week reservation at 1030am. Got there at 215pm. The teenage looking girl sitting behind glass looked at my reservation and told me they "were all full today". I told her I had a "prepaid reservation" not a pay later. She said it didn't matter. She then told me they didn't have some gas powered cars available (I rented and prepaid $555 for electric) but it would cost twice as much. I told her I didn't think that was fair and asked if I could speak to somebody else, like a supervisor or manager of the location. She then told me there was nobody except the girl sitting next to her and she would tell me the same thing. I told her it was disappointing after driving so far to pick up the vehicle I had already paid for in full that nobody seemed to care about me. I told her I would have to leave a review and she said "do whatever your little heart desires". At this point I asked for her name and she told me she did not need to provide that. So I'm doing just that, leaving this review to recommend avoiding this nasty person at Avis. Maybe Avis should hire nicer people. If she would have just been somewhat considerate I would have just dealt with it, but she acted like she didn't need to be there or deal with me so hello internet. I made a booking for a truck from Roseville but I was diverted to the Rocklin branch. I met the lady on duty and processed my request, I asked her how much the cost of the insurance was and if I would add insurance to cover any type of accident. She said $30 dollars plus. Then I agreed to pay for the insurance. I took the truck from the parking, the truck was parked too close to another car of Avis and because of that, I hit the Tesla on the side of the car. I immediately reported the incident to the same lady and she asked to sign a liability claim for the other car. I refused to sign in the beginning because I included insurance to cover myself for any type of accident. She started yelling at me when I asked why you never explained to me the coverage of the insurance. Then she demanded to return the key and she said I refused to give service to you. I'm not running away from my responsibility but the lady on duty did not explain the coverage of the insurance that I bought. In the end, I signed the liability against my will but my insurance agent called and said that I could refuse to sign because it did not explain to me the coverage of the insurance that I purchased. This is first the car accident in which I was at fault and the lady insulted me by saying in a high tone you hit a nonmoving car in the parking in front of another person. I was dressed like a laborer but I'm a businessman maybe this is the reason why I experienced her rudeness and disrespectful behavior. Made a reservation and then the morning of they call me and tell me that they do not have any vehicles only is an electric car. I told them I'll be in the mountains for multiple hours so that car will not work. They told me they couldn't refund my money nor give me a car. I would have to call one 800 number and then they hung up on me. Do not recommend. read more

Called AVIS before coming here and they confirmed that Uber Voucher can be used for vehicle rental from Uber Rent. When I got here, lady behind the counter did not understand the Uber voucher process and said they didn't have vehicles for Uber Rent, although online shows 10+ cars possible for reservation. read more

We received First Class treatment -- from our first phone calls about available rentals to returning the vehicle. When we called, Saeed Chini, the owner, answered the phone and gave us all the information we needed... plus he shared some great tips! When we arrived to pick up our rental, we received an upgrade and quick, seamless service. Also, the representatives explained all our options for our trip. When our trip was cut short unexpectedly, all the paperwork was adjusted with no problem when we returned the car. This Avis & Budget in Rocklin is a no go for me. The lady that works there has the worst attitude I've ever seen in my entire life. If you don't like your job then why be there? She's very rude! I came in to ask how much is an Uber vehicle and how long could I keep the vehicle and the gentleman proceeded to let me know how much the Uber vehicles are weekly and wasn't sure about how long I could keep the Uber vehicle for, then that little girl that works there comes in the store and immediately gave me attitude yelling we don't have Uber vehicles here and I need to go elsewhere and look, when all I wanted to know is how much they were and how long could I keep the vehicle for and she continued to yell at me saying we don't have Uber vehicles here and I need to leave the store now. I don't see how they have such a snotty little brat like her working there like she owns that business. The owner should be ashamed to have her there and he's going to lose a lot of business having her there with that type of attitude. I will not rent here and I would definitely advise people to not rent there especially when that little kid that looks like she's 16 working there. read more

I've currently been a Uber rental for the past couple weeks however I renewed my rental using a different card and on June 1 they charged my credit card again. I spoke with the manager at the branch and he tells me he sees no transaction and gives me the billing department's number. I call and speak with them and they said they see the transaction but it's the branch who is responsible for this. This morning I call and speak with Sana she was yelling at me and very rude and unprofessional I couldn't even speak because she was talking over me. Mind you the brake light is out and the vehicle shakes when slowing down by far the worst experience I've had so far! Basically I don't get my money back and there telling me it's nothing they can do SMH!!!! read more

I recently rented a car from Budget in Rocklin. I was immediately greeted by the two employees there, Kyle and Nathan. They were both very courteous, and worked quickly to obtain the information for my rental. Within moments, I signed the necessary paperwork, and my rental vehicle was waiting for me outside the door!! Once I returned the rental, these same two employees carefully and quickly checked out my rental, and got me on my way! Nathan and Kyle made my rental car experience very pleasant and easy. They are not customer oriented and the employees use profanity and foul language towards the customers. There is cocky young Persian lady that works there, she is yells and shouts at customers. I asked for her name but she refused to give her name. They don't do hones business. i've rented from this location few times but the last visit I got bullied by this young blond hair Persian lady. she was rude using a foul language. insulting me as customer because she charged my Credit card 3 times for the same thing. BE AWARE! UNDISCLOSURED INFO AND HIDDEN FEES! We booked 1 month and returned early, thinking we are not asking for a refund for the non-used days. They told us the same, we will NOT get a refund for the non-used days and we happily accept that. But come home, there is a $361.68 charge, called back today (4 days later because there is a weekend in between), was told now the monthly rate becomes weekly rate so it is higher, now I owe them. If YOU TOLD ME I WOULD OWE MORE, I WOULD DROVE OFF WITHOUT RETURNING AND COME BACK AGAIN TODAY! I THOUGHT I AM DOING YOU A FAVOR SO YOU CAN HAVE THE CAR BACK EARLIER AND RE-RENT TO SOMEONE ELSE AND I AM HAPPILY TO PAY THE WHOLE MONTH. WHY YOU ONLY TOLD ME THAT I WON'T GET A REFUND FOR THE NON-USED DAYS, INSTEAD OF CHARGE ME MORE? And they pushed me to 800 customer service number, the lady also said, no, NOTHING WE CAN DO, we are taking your $361.68 no doubt, you returned the car early! I said ok, I can go back get the car, and park in my garage for another 4 days then return, can I get the money back? Now I make up the full month, she said no. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. read more

Can't say enough great things about this place, the owner himself helped with the process of renting a vehicle. Explained everything in great detail. The Honda crv was in immaculate condition and smelled like a brand new vehicle which shows how much they care about their customers and inventory. Dont waste your time or your money. First, I paid for a mid size vehicle and was given and rushed out of the door with a compact SUV. I didnt let this ruin my trip tho, I was heading out of town to cooler weather. The trip was great, went over a toll and wasnt able to pay because they were not taking payments. I notified the guy at check out and wanted to pay but was charged a convenience fee as well. Whatever, still not going to ruin my day. THAN, I am told I owe more money for gas. 16 dollars because his system tells him so. I literally just left the gas station. I put gas in till the pump stopped and headed straight to the rental place. Now I am annoyed. I feel like my bill just keeps increasing. I have never had these issues at enterprise. I will NOT be returning. I'll save my money for a place that doesnt take advantage of its customers. read more
