I think the entire transaction took less than 15 minutes. The employees were energetic, friendly, prompt, and answered any/all questions I had. I was given a paperwork with price for about 3 month rental period. The paperwork had pick up date 09/08 and drop of date 11/30. When I picked up the car they told me they can only rent for 30 days at a time and I need to go to an office for car inspection every 30 days. I drove from MO to NY and found a location in NY to get the car checked at the 30th day. They wanted to charge me higher price for the second month than what the original estimate in the paperwork was. The people in NY called the MO people and they told me "Give me a min and I will get you a good price, man" (which was higher than the original). I already had a price given for 3 months, I didn't need a new one. Their paperwork states every 30 days you need to sign a new agreement, however it doesn't state the price will change and it doesn't make sense why would they issue paperwork with estimate for 3 months if they can't cover that period. Additionally, in NY they never checked the tires, oil, fluids, or brakes; just millage wrote down the miles (what is the point of the 30 days limit then if you are not doing a safety inspection?). I said I will leave the car in NY after the second month and rent from another company for the third month, then they told me "That would be $400 fee, sir". I don't see this fee on their paperwork, which makes me feel like they are trying to hustle me. I understand they want to renegotiate contracts every 30 days, but it's not my fault they gave me an estimate for the entire 3 months period and not monthly price. read more

Had to get a rental, 'cause my son's car was crashed. It was Sunday, but this Enterprise was close, and I was hoping it would be open. No such luck. Checked two other Enterprise locations on Manchester Road, and they were all closed on Sunday. Sunday night I went online to reserve a car for Monday. No such luck. Monday was Labor Day. But I still put in the reservation. Next try. 8 a.m. Tuesday. Arrived. Checked in. Paperwork intact. Printed. Done. Drove off in a Dodge Avenger very expediently. Not a bad car. I specified my reservation to September 30, anticipating major repairs. So Enterprise froze nearly $650 on my credit card for that time period of rental. I get it. Well, good comes with bad. The car was totaled (bad) very quickly (good). We got another car (good and bad), and were able to return the rental after only three days (good). How does that balance out? Clerk was stupendous on the return. Reviewed the car quickly. I paid up, and went back to West County Honda to pick up the replacement car. Can't have two drivers with three cars. For the most part, I always get excellent service here, rides to pick me up and drop me off afterward (only about 1 mile away), excellent weekend deals on great cars (a Fiat 500 Sport and a Malibu on recent trips) and pretty quick delivery on my car. Only real gripe is not explaining the basics just to be sure ... how to open the gas cap, how to operate the lights, how to operate the wipers, radio and air. One car didn't have a manual so that was no help (had to download one). Took me awhile to figure one gas cap was a pressure push. I would choose Enterprise over any other car rental company when they are needed. read more

I understand Covid and their organizational consolidation has taken a toll on their service efforts but how they take it out on me the customer is appalling. I've been a long time customer for rental and purchasing cars over the years. Just wanted to rent a car and got so much negative tone, voice inflection just for asking questions. I also really appreciate how they don't push you to purchase the "extras" that can increase costs significantly. Don't bother renting trucks from the Bridgton location. They do not service and maintain them properly and if you break down they will do nothing but pull you back to Bridgeton and say sorry. No help unloading, no help in locating another truck. In fact Enterprise Truck Rental doesn't even have a customer phone number. Just roadside assistance. DO NOT TRUST! read more

I was rear ended on a Monday. The other parties insurance set a reservation for a rental car at enterprise. I go to pick up the rental on Tuesday but they have no cars available. I go back on Wednesday and go to pay a $50 deposit on my visa debit card that my work direct deposits my paycheck on. Unfortunately, enterprise does not accept those types of cards. I don't understand why because I can use that card EVERYWHERE else. I have no other credit or debit cards so not only is my car destroyed, but now I have to find rides to work until my car either gets fixed or is totaled out and I get a new car. I needed to rent a 15 passenger van because our van was in the shop for mechanical repairs; to take a church group out of town on a day trip to Kansas City. Renting these types of vehicles is VERY difficult during major holidays and generally during the summer. I reserved the reservation online, and I was referred to the Ballwin (St. Louis County) MO location. When I arrived at my scheduled pick up time, the van was waiting for me. Upon inspecting the van with the customer rep, I discovered the van was not clean as it was mountains of trash and food on the floors and under the seats of this van. The van was also dirty on the outside. The customer rep was very apologetic and immediately has their car wash person to bring the van in the shop for a complete cleaning. I left to grab some lunch and when I returned about 45 minutes later, the van was clean so I left in the van. I was a little disappointed that the van wasn't clean when I arrived to pick it up, but things happen. The bottom line is they took care of it. read more

We can go anywhere and rent a car, right? And we can go anywhere and buy bread and milk, "right"? But when you go somewhere to rent a car and your day improves as a result of the fun you had IN THE LOBBY? Loved it. Super cool people. The staff in the Ballwin office could not have been more rude, less inviting and professional and in no way representatives of the principles the Taylor family has worked so hard to establish. Just left this location with a bitter feeling only to be exasperated further by speaking to customer service on the phone. In from out of state and needed to rent a car to do some wedding planning. This location is closes at 1pm on Saturdays and closed Sundays. Cut to me scratching my head....why would a rental company that provides a service be closed on a weekend? And the extra kicker was there is no drop box provided so not only did we have to pay for a Monday rental (we are leaving the state on sunday) but we have to find someone to drop off the car on Monday. As a customer this outright makes no sense to me! What if we didnt know anyone in the area to drop the car off???? The agent told us that someone broke into the Dropbox and stole 5 cars and he said "one bad apple ruined it for the whole bunch" I understand that is a crappy situation for the company but it is not my problem nor should I be inconvenienced for it. I own a small business and would not charge my clients more if my equipment was stolen. Called corporate and they continued the bad policy. Called Avis and will definitely be using them from now on. Avis was extremely helpful. So a big NO THANKS to enterprise for putting a huge damper on what was supposed to be a wedding planning weekend of joy read more
