**WARNING- VERY LONG APPRECIATION POST** Tuesday night we left for Florida around 7:30 pm. At around 11:30 pm our transmission went out about 2 miles from the Beckley, WV exit. It was raining and it was not a good spot for it to happen since there was only a 3 foot berm and then gravel that dropped off. It was also 500 feet from construction area with left lane closed so everyone was getting in right lane. So we had semis passing at 60 mph 4 feet from us We called AAA and within 20 minutes David from Glen's Towing called and said he would be there in 5 minutes. AAA had told us Because of COVID nobody could ride in the tow truck so we amazingly found Ambassador Taxi after trying Lyft, Uber, and every other taxi company number with no answer. Ambassador said they would have to send the driver back to get a big SUV since we had 7 people and could be a little while since he was on way back from dropping railroad guys off in VA. When David arrived with the tow truck, he said "I'm going to just pull up behind you with my lights on and wait for the taxi to get here. Then you guys can just jump in taxi and I will bring van to your hotel for you to get your stuff out so you're not trying to do it on side of the road." He sat behind us for an hour until Ambassador got there. While we were awaiting, the owner of Ambassador called and let me know that they had a shop and could look at the van first thing in the morning for us if we wanted to have it towed there. I also, used my Choice Hotels app and booked us rooms at the Comfort Inn in Beckley. Since it was after midnight the app booked them for the following night. So I called Comfort Inn and the front desk girl said she would get them changed no problem. Ambassador arrived and we got into the Tahoe and he took us to the hotel. I walked in and the front desk immediately handed me the key cards and pointed me to our side by side rooms so I could get the kids in bed. 5 minutes later, David from Glen's towing arrived and completely dropped the van off the roll back for us to empty all of our luggage onto the hotel carts. Once in our room around 2 am, I got on the Enterprise app and booked a minivan for pick up at 8 am when they opened. I got a call around 7:40 saying they didn't currently have any vehicles (From Austin working there I knew that was common first thing in morning) and they would call when they received some from Charleston hopefully by noon. While waiting Ambassador auto called and said what I feared, transmission completely out. I told them I didn't want to put that kind of money into it and I had already booked a rental and asked if van was in the way or if I could come with trailer in 2 weeks to get van and she said "No problem. We will just park it around back." At 10 am Enterprise called that they had a van. I called Beckley Green Cab and they were there in 10 minutes to take me to Enterprise. I walked in enterprise and was in a 2020 Caravan with only the 82 miles on it in less than 5 minutes and headed back to the hotel to continue our vacation. We left a Beckley at 11 am. I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful everyone we dealt with was. Maybe it really is, Almost Heaven in West Virginia. Had to my truck in body shop. Contacted Enterprise the date that I need a rental. Was picked up and taken to office, where I rented a Camry.It was new model.went out to inspect vehicle for damage. Nearly ever panel of this vehicle either scratched or dented. Kinda bothered me but I took the vehicle because they had no other available. Drove around town and noticed the tire low pressure light was on. Looking at the interior of the car could help but notice stains on cars dashboard , clearly the car had not been wiped off since last use. I'm not one to ordinary complain , but enough was enough! Car enterpris that I was bringing car back! When I got there they had a smalol car there Mitsubishi compact car. I had no choice but to accept it. My wife and I are in our 70's not easy to get in or out of this car. Not sure I'd ever use enterprise again! Have use them several time in the past with no problems. read more

Had an accident on Saturday prior to Thanksgiving. Was able to get the truck into Dutch Miller GMC on Monday but needed a way to get back to our hunt camp. Courtney Deem at Enterprise helped us out with a rental.. (I didn't think about rental car shortage because of Thanksgiving) I rented in Monday afternoon and knew we wouldn't need it beyond Wensday morning. On July 5, 2022, while enroute from Virginia to Ohio, we had a car problem which resulted in the local Toyota dealership to have to keep our SUV for repair. Contacted Enterprise and reserved a Standard SUV and was given a confirmation number. When arrived at this business prior to their closing time, the doors were locked. After knocking on the door, finally a person came to the door, and I showed him the confirmation information. He said all the vehicles they have was going to the airport and he didn't have a vehicle available for me regardless of my confirmation number. He then closed and relocked the door. Thanks to Kevin, L&S Toyota Service Manager, who transporting me around due to the heavy rain, for taking me to the airport where I was able to rent a SUV from Hertz. I have used Enterprise in the past and after this experience, I will never again utilize their services. read more

Extremely poor service!! Employees were very unprofessional, in how they handle business and how they are dressed. You would have thought they were customers off the street if they weren't behind the desk. The male employee working lied directly to my face. They literally rented away the vehicle I was reserved after I drove 7 hours to pick up just moments before I arrived. They did not apologize but said it was "miscommunication" I'm sorry but it was poor management not miscommunication. Own up that you can't and didn't do your job!!! read more

I have rented hundreds of their cars, trucks, and SUVs. Over all they are reliable and provided clean cars. Several occasions the vehicles weren't clean, or available as indicated online, but I was able to to give the bad cars back and get an upgrade at no additional charge when we had problems. Most of the people who worked with me at Enterprise are good people. We did have an incident where one of the Enterprise employees divulged information about my business without my permission on Facebook, and this person is still working for Enterprise (Harper Rd. Beckley , WV location). But other than that, it's not a bad place to rent your vehicle. read more

I planned a week trip to West Virginia from New Jersey, placing a reservation to have a car picked up so I can use it for the time being while I was there. The next day, I called up this very location only to be told they didn't have any cars at the moment. I went in person in hopes they would help me out better and have a car. Not only did they not have the car, they recommended Hertz to me. Rule number 1: you never recommend your competition when you are representing one company. I responded, 'If I wanted Hertz, I would've went with them,' only to be told, 'I wish I could help you. I'm sorry.' Luckily, I went to the Enterprise on Harper Road, where they were very helpful. People, do not go to this location. They don't keep their promises and are unorganized. read more

The pre-fill gas price was 15 cents more than the one on Harper Rd. Other than that, they are great!! While the Harper Rd location is closer, I have had awful experiences there. The last one with Lindsay Tate was horrendous!! Possibly the worst experience I've ever had at any Enterprise!!! She flat out lied and her manager then backed her up. I have been renting so long, I knew she was incorrect. She was very unprofessional and just downright nasty. Use the Canterbury location for a pleasant experience. My last experience with this place was very frustrating. I went online reserved a economy car and it gave me my price. Online experience was fine. I go there to pick up my car and we waited an hour to finally get it because it wasn't cleaned yet. Mind you I had this car reserved for a couple weeks and it should have been ready when I got there. There was a fee that was not mentioned. They had apparently recently changed their policy so I had to pay extra because the driver was not over 24. The time before that I didn't have to pay that. The car they gave us was terrible. It was not an economy car. They gave us a Nissan Juke, which is actually mid size SUV . It had a turbo in it and it sucks up gas. I expected on not spending a ton of money because a economy car would have save me money. This was like emptying my wallet out the car window. I will never do business again with this location. I'd rather walk. read more

All around great experience. Micah was extremely friendly and helpful. The pick up was a lifesaver! Our car broke down and the part had to be ordered, but we had to get back to Tennessee for work. They made sure we had a car we were satisfied with. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area that needs a rental car. Thanks for everything! read more

I made a reservation a little over a week in advance using an authorization through an insurance company. I was told that I would get a vehicle that was in the same class as my small SUV. Upon arrival to pick up the vehicle while mine was receiving repairs, I was told that there were not any SUV's available. The Enterprise agent acted more concerned with getting me out the door than trying to meet my needs. I asked if she could find an appropriate vehicle that was promised to me during my reservation at another Enterprise location. She advised me that she could not and it would be up to me to do that. I had already dropped off my vehicle so that was pretty much impossible for me to do. At the end of the week, when I came to return the vehicle I stood at the front desk for several minutes while, the same Enterprise agent as a few days ago, snidely told me I would have to wait because she was in the middle of 15 other things. I stood patiently while 3 other agents roamed through the building. She did not ask anyone else to help me. After about 10 minutes she walked away from the front desk to the back room. I continued waiting for another 2 minutes before a second agent who was sitting at a desk asked if I had been helped yet. She did then allow me to return the vehicle and drive me to pick up my own car at the body shop. I would NOT recommend this location, nor the Lewisburg location as that experience,several months earlier, was even worse! read more

The folks at Enterprise/Beckley are beyond excellent in their customer service. They are my go to car rental place. I've always had a good experience. Angela is superb in making sure you are happy with the car you will be driving. Everyone is cheerful and ready to help and bring solutions to any blips that might arise.
