Their airport locations have deteriorated, and despite being one of the major competitors in this business they lost their lease on site at DCA. Looking at reviews, Enterprise is consistently, with its sister National, ranked at the top for customer service. My sense is this is a sector that has not the best reputation, all around. But with all that, I wish to report I am glad I plan to use Enterprise going forward. I had an excellent experience. Their customer service is just different. I'm not naive. These are commercial transactions; this isn't about finding a friend. I just want ease of use on the website, pick up, drop off. And for the prices to be good. Enterprise "checks the boxes." I did comparison shopping: they are the same as other options. There is one issue. Once you know, it's fine. The storefront is on Wisconsin Avenue. The parking garage is in back. That means you need to know how to approach it, and GPS won't navigate to the right place (the storefront, not the parking garage). Inside, they have multiple areas with reserved spaces. They do not have an attendant. You park, then bring your keys. I'd say allot an extra ten minutes for that process. PS This is a post I have moved to the proper account. For some reason, including user error, Yelp signed me in and automatically created an account on a different computer (not my regular one), using my Google address (also not my regular one). The issue is that Budget charged me $50 on top of a $60 fee from Expedia. When I contacted Expedia, they refunded their $60 charge, but I am STILL trying to get my refund of $50 from Budget. Their customer service line SUCKS and they will not provide a phone number so I can talk to someone. They will only communicate through email. At the time of the reservation, there was no indication that this would present any issues. Upon arrival, however, I was informed by the Enterprise representative, Mr. Danny Calder, that no compact cars were available and that only a Jeep remained on the lot. Although I was told I could take the Jeep at the same rate, I expressed concern regarding the comfort and practicality of driving a much larger vehicle. I also explained that if I was not comfortable with the Jeep, I would return to exchange it for the compact car I originally reserved. Throughout the interaction, Mr. Calder was noticeably nonchalant, impatient, and unprofessional. When I inquired about the 15% discount for rentals over three days--something I was instructed to request when making the reservation--he stated that he would need to cancel and rebook my reservation because it was "booked online." I clarified that I had spoken directly with a representative the night before and had not booked anything online. When he requested my ID and insurance, he handled the documents in a manner that appeared hesitant and uncomfortable, which further contributed to the unprofessional tone. I also asked about the federal government discount that I have consistently received in the past. He initially stated that they "don't do that," which is incorrect, and only applied a 5% discount after I presented my federal government ID badge.Despite having a reservation for an early pickup, I still had to wait for the Jeep to be cleaned, causing additional delays. This undermines the purpose of reserving a vehicle in advance to ensure a timely and efficient pickup. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism, the failure to honor my reservation, the inadequate discount, and the overall customer service I received. Additionally, Mr. Calder did not assist with adjusting the seat or demonstrating basic vehicle functions--assistance that the Pentagon Police ultimately provided when I arrived at work. These are tasks that should have been addressed at the time of pickup but were not. This experience could have been handled far more effectively, and this location has significant room for improvement. This has been the most disappointing experience I've had with Enterprise. I picked up the vehicle this morning and drove directly to work at the Pentagon. On my way home--only about twelve minutes into the drive--the fuel light came on. It is unacceptable and unprofessional to provide a rental vehicle with virtually no gas. This issue requires immediate attention and corrective action.

I was told digital IDs were not accepted. I offered my passport, which Olivia stated was also unacceptable. I was instructed to return with my physical ID and was not informed of any additional requirements. After returning later the same day during rush hour I was assisted by Keith, who was dismissive and unhelpful. I was told only one car (a Hyundai) was available, despite having an insurance-approved reservation. At that point, I was suddenly told a deposit was required, something that was never disclosed earlier. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, Keith stated he was the manager and resisted escalating the issue. After multiple requests, I spoke with Nick, who offered no resolution. As a result, I had to retrieve my vehicle from Mercedes-Benz Collision for the second time and delay repairs entirely. The lack of communication, professionalism, and basic courtesy at this location was unacceptable. I would not recommend this branch and will not rent here again.
