I have an old vehicle it's tired and cranky so I decided to rent a car One thing I like about enterprises not only the great service I've always gotten and these reviews reflect me I know there's crappy reviews from other people have gotten stuff go on I don't know what the hell they do or whatever so once again I did not get let down. I called on the phone I said I need a car. No it's a holiday coming up how are we looking this is about 3 days before Christmas. They said we got cars so I said can you come pick me up I'm down the road at the truck stop they said yeah we picked up drivers here before they're rented cars and left their trucks there. So about an hour later they showed up brought me down and I got driven down in a Volkswagen Jetta I rented those before they're nice cars. So I looked at the compact prices I didn't really want an SUV cuz they were way too much than what I wanted I wasn't making a trip I was going to be making local trips. So I decided to take that Jetta they said it's available it was that over some other little tiny thing. So I took it sign out was easy they told me the price up front everything that was going to go on. Was 200 and something dollars change for the week and there's a $300 deposit automatically tacked on that will come back and if you want extras like their insurance their collision their full insurance or just the damage waiver. And the toll pass for tolls. It was going to be about an extra $48 bucks for the week which is fine. Unlimited tolls unlimited mileage all kinds of good stuff. I do like your damage waiver I didn't mind paying for it. The Jetta was fairly clean it was freezing cold and there wasn't really no problem with anything so at the time so I got it signed out the papers I knew it was going to cost me is going to cost me a total of $500 and some change for the whole week plus the $300 deposit so it's 800 bucks or so on the credit card take the car. I went down to Walmart did a little shopping came back to the truck did some nice stuff around it took care of some things and relax for a few hours. And then went down to Walmart to take care of a few things. About 4 hours later I was going to go get something to eat I fired the Volkswagen up and I'll send the check engine light started coming on saying coolant level low check coolant level well that's not good. Almost 3-year-old vehicle with close to 60,000 miles on it. I did not feel safe even if I put the coolant back in if it was low or something was going on and wanted to take it somewhere if something else goes wrong over Christmas So I ate dinner at the truck stop and the next morning I called. They were open I told him what was going on they said bring it back down and we'll swap you out we'll take it down the Firestone they could look at it and whatever else they didn't have any sub compacts at the time so they gave me an upgrade to what was basically called the Mazda cx-3 little mini SUV all-wheel drive for the headache that I had they said basically. Won't cost any more money or anything. Now I have to give major props out to Dylan for the paperwork that he did on this because he was able to work it out and everything showed properly because what happened was they tried and the computer to charge me for one day and then charge me for the following week so he did a little altering and basically showed me picking up the Mazda instead of the Volkswagen which is what happened cuz I actually went nowhere I drove a total of two miles I didn't go anywhere. So I got the Mazda I kept it for a week it was a nice little car didn't do much for me it's just a little SUV the all-wheel drive was nice on the slicker pavement cuz it did get lousy for a few days. But once again the whole staff there was nothing but professional and great. When it came time to bring it back I asked if I could have an extra hour or so to return it they said that would be no problem at all. So when I came back in and I came back and got dropped back off everything was fine I signed the papers and everything there were no charges extra at all. 3 days later I looked at the credit card bill and it was everything that they said the 300 dollars was gone and it was $500 and some change and you couldn't ask for anything more. Another reason why I'll continue to use Enterprise because in my opinion I've used them in different locations in the past and I have had no trouble at all keep up the great work especially here at Bolingbrook country to the horror stories I read on Google some people bring stuff on themselves. They tell you up front there's a $300 charge it's a deposit basically you'll get it back once you turn in the car and everything is good some people will get mad at that just like will you tell me to be an extra hundred dollars well that's how it is deal with it. Pick up time is when they swipe your card When you are dropping off your car -- you have to drop it off by the time that they swiped your card on the pickup date. Otherwise if it is an hour past It is an extra $13. If it is dropped off after that time they will charge you for an extra full day. The rate they quoted me was $180 for Sunday through Thursday but I didn't realize that didn't include tax and other fees. My rental came to $278 since I added on daily basic insurance and an I-pass which was $6.99 unlimited tolls (not bad). Friendly, helpful staff. I went in, got a nominally priced car for a week, returned it and got out easy peasy. It wasn't a luxurious experience but it quick and affordable and the people who work here, at least the guy I got, was actually extra accommodating for being a guy at a suburban car rental shop. I'm surprised to see so many average reviews of this place. I had to rent here when my car was being fixed from a tree falling on it. ABRA recommended these guys. My girlfriend (who isn't on Yelp) rents cars from these folks all the time for work, and she's always had an awesome experience too. I don't usually like giving props to huge corporations, but the staff at this location are so great to work with, I felt a review was in order. They have a good selection of really clean cars. They get you in and out in a matter of minutes, and they are conveniently located at Boughton and Rte 53. Definitely would recommend this place if you need a car. Nolan, (location branch manager) really went above and beyond to keep us very satisfied for the minivan rental that we got for our trip to the Smoky Mountains. Had he not gone above and beyond, our day long road trips back and forth and up the mountains would not have been enjoyable and pleasant. These car rentals are like our moving hotel rooms (minus the showers and washrooms of course) and like a comfortable hotel room, a nice and comfortable rental plays a major role in making the trip enjoyable, pleasurable, fun and safe! I want to commend him for going out of his way in getting my preference rental as I was unhappy with the one we were initially getting. I had rented a 15 passenger Van to take to Ravinia with a group of friends and they were the only rental company around who could get one for me. My only issue was that they failed to tell me that if I was renting on a Saturday that they require a 2 day rental and the vehicle would be due back on Monday because they are closed on Sunday. When I returned the van on Monday they tried to charge me for the both days when the reservation was only for one day. Brian, who took my reservation was there and remembered making it for one day and didn't charge me for the second day. Because they honored the price for the rental I would definitely go back there again. I understand that they are closed Sundays but they just need to notify their customers if this when they make a reservation. I was nice to see a company keep their promise and provide me with the rental they had told me about and didn't just tell me that it was company policy for 2 days and make me pay. read more

I rented two cars from enterprise my car was total so I was recommend the service there. At first it started off as a very good experience then all of a sudden when it came time for me to print to pay they didn't detailed it I had rented two cars the second car-that I rented was not up to enterprise standards it was missing a hubcap and the windshield wipers didn't work I guess I was lucky because it rained three out of four days that week and it was very bad rain but the windshield wipers were satisfactory. I spoke to the best branch manager she acted nonchalant and act like she didn't care so I think going forward this enterprise in Bolingbrook Illinois be the one that I return to they said they were going to take a certain amount off of the bill this bill but they overcharged me and I am still waiting on the refund two or three weeks later so I would not recommend this service to anyone thank you read more

DO NOT rent a car from this location in Bolingbrook, IL. They not only were paid by the insurance company for the rental and by Gerber, they also charged my credit card for $152.94, the same amount that Gerber was paying. Now it's over a month later they still haven't refunded the money nor called me back. I reached out to corporate two weeks ago was told everything was corrected and still no refund back. I've rented many cars with Enterprise in Woodridge, IL and never had a problem. So I'm guessing this location is basically sketchy. As a branch manager Adrian has no respect for his customers and lacks effectiveness in completing a simple task of making sure a customer is not charged for a service after he gave his word that we owed nothing, was confirmed that Gerber was picking up what insurance wasn't and we were all good, again, we owed nothing. Almost a week later we were charged. Something sketchy is going on at this branch and the coward can't even call back. Poor excuse for what a leader / branch manager should be. Have rented at this location several times over the years and I'm so glad I can write this review. They are awesome there! They are always friendly and knowledgeable. They are always willing to accommodate your needs and offer you a great deal. The prices are soooo much better than at the airports where they charge 35% airport tax or something crazy like that! I like it because it's so close to home. Most of the time they have a variety of vehicles in stock, even brand new! Only downfall was that it took a long time to get picked up when we were pressed for time that day. They did apologize that they were busy since it was Saturday. But whether you need a rental for insurance purposes or for traveling out of town, these folks are the best! read more

I will never rent from Enterprise again, especially from the Bolingbrook location because that is where it all started. I was in a car accident that left my car undriveable. Not only did I wait for at least 30 minutes to even be helped at Enterprise, by the time I was helped the "managers" were so frazzled they didn't know which way was which. The other person's insurance company was paying for the rental, so that was another wait time to get that straightened out. I specifically requested the IPass feature as my IPass transponder was not attainable and was at the body shop with my car, which was now in pieces. Not only did Enterprise conveniently "forget" to add that feature to the rental, they gave me a minivan! Unless you are a parent with kids, no one needs a minivan. They told me they had nothing else left and no SUVs, yet some other guy who came in before me and had no prior reservation of a vehicle was asked if he wanted an SUV and got one! What the heck?! When I had the chance to upgrade the minivan to a normal car, I requested all the features from that agreement be transferred to the new car including the IPass feature. I had a friend with me witness the request. Low and behold I get 3 tollway violation notices in the mail from Enterprise. Because of Enterprise, I am on the hook for $50 in tollway violations because they screwed up. I tried calling them and got a message from their division manager. I returned his call and guess what?! He NEVER called me back. So completely unprofessional. I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again. I tried to dispute the charges with my credit card company and was only slightly successful. Enterprise is a terrible company and they should be ashamed of how they run their business. read more

Because Yelp cannot find the Enterprise located at 50 Old Chicago Road in Bolingbrook I'm putting this notice on this Enterprise simply because it's in the same town I hope not the same kind of service I'm getting an Enterprise Fleet truck because our company leases are trucks through Enterprise Fleet I have to have a truck for my delivery job that I do in the morning I got to the store the location at 5:02 after calling him and telling them I am on my way the girl that says all the keys are locked up even though the door was open and I'm standing inside she came in from the outside and I told her what I was there for and she says all the keys are locked up for the day knowing I was coming there I did speak to a gentleman not her on the phone not good as far as I'm concerned I'm using the truck is a rental simply because our company uses them as far as doing it myself on my own with my own money it'll never happen again ever I gave it to Stars hoping that I get the truck tomorrow and I'll get to keep the two stars if I don't get the truck tomorrow I'll be writing another review in the Stars will go further down this is a terrible way to go when you're 2 minutes after your store supposed to close and you know the customers coming and an employee is there that was the worst part of it the employee was there and still cannot help me and if you have the keys to lock the building why would you have the keys in the power to unlock where they keep the keys they don't trust you all the way or they only trust you half the way to use keys at your store they really need to get it correct read more
