My boyfriend and I have rented over 5 rental cars within the past month; trying to purchase a vehicle (STEAR CLEAR OF NEW JERSEY). Matt was phenomenal to say the least. He went above and beyond every time to guarantee we always had a vehicle, that others' mistakes were corrected without us having to deal with any extra headaches, was extremely professional, and made our experience hassle free, and with kindness. Reserved a car to pick my daughter up from college, day of reservation no car, multiple calls to customer service, no car, waited for a call back from customer a regional manager for 6 hours so far, legend has it that I'm still waiting for that call. Avoid this store and enterprise in general would be my advice. read more

I just rented a car for 11 days when i came to CT to visit It was orginally reserved in new haven but as I was staying in Branford they worked with New Haven and got my reservation and car choice (convertible mustang) switched to them the pick up and drop off went seamlessly and the staff were super nice and customer service oriented the only hiccup was the car was filthy inside and out despite then re washing when i got there ... maybe the car was just badly abused by the previous renter i would rent from them again read more

I had to get a rental car for about a week while my car needed its engine replaced. My car dealership works with Enterprise for a discounted rate if you drive their model which isn't always guaranteed based on availability. Lance worked very hard and was able to get me the model car I needed to save money. However there were some issues with the car (smell) and communication about purchasing extra insurance (working with a different salesman at this point). I called and voiced my concerns. Lance worked diligently with me, got me into a new car (wasn't the model I needed) and Enterprise completely covered the cost of my rental car for the inconvenience and inability to get the lower price model. It was a rocky start but they really came through and I appreciate all they did for me! read more

I was coming in to meet a mutual party to offer a ride after dropping off her rental. I sat down, the ladies in the front desk did ask if I needed help while they were getting together their coffee order together. They were exchanging jokes and stories with those on the other side of the desk. It was constant swearing from the other side. When someone from the front explained there was someone waiting in the lobby, the swearing still continued. I don't mind swearing, but it's not comforting to know if I needed a car, this would be the environment I'd have to wait in. read more

This establishment commits to some of the shadiest business practices one can imagine. Their sales team pressured a pregnant women of six months into additional coverage, that was not needed, after she had refused coverage twice. That women is my wife and was stuck paying a $360 plus bill for coverage that our insurance company already provided. To make matters worse they lied when discussing the coverage to her initially, telling her that she was signing for the first five days and can call back to continue the additional coverage if needed. When calling back to discuss these poor practice they strait out told me that this was not the way they do business and that I had not had the appropriate facts. We are a military family and entrusted this company to provide a service that they would be paid for, unfortunately they got greedy and conned my pregnant wife and robbed us blind. Avoid this enterprise at all cost! read more

I will use Enterprise again, I took a rentacar from Ashland Virginia to Branford and not only did Braanford give me a ride home by a kind driver, but when they accidentally charged me for a toll, I had an Easy Pass that did not record the plate, they removed the $13.00 fee. I discovered that Easy Pass does not always record payment for the toll-this happened with a toll in Maryland- if the plate you have recorded with Easy Pass does not match the vehicle you are driving. read more

My daughter had to rent a car after being in an accident. Having Geico insurance we were advised not to purchase additional insurance. Being 21, my daughter has never had to do this before and did not realize that even though Geico would be paying for the rental car that they would not be paying for this optional extra insurance so she took it. When I noticed a "hold" on my credit card I called not knowing what this was and explained that I did not want her to purchase this optional insurance the gentleman told me that there was no optional insurance and that this was only a hold on my credit card. I took that at face value. Today I noticed that I was charged $103 dollars for this extra insurance that we did not need. They said that they explained it to her and that she signed it. While I get that, I called in that very day to make sure that I was it being charged for it and they assured me I was not. I feel they took advantage of a young college student knowing full well that it was an unnecessary charge. read more
