I accidentally left my work table in the trunk after dropping off the car after a long day. I arrived right before they closed and ran inside to drop off keys.. I realized the next morning that i left my table. I called multiple times and they insisted that if i left it, the detailer would find it, but then claimed it wasn't there. The table was 100% was in the car trunk. I should have double checked instead of trying to get them out of work in time. These enterprise employees are liars! Danny, Cam, Bry, Mel, and Eli are liars and thieves. I've called corporate and filed a complaint, but don't want others to get swindled. Do not go here unless you want to work with liars and thrives! Either the detailers (Mel & Eli stole the table or they didn't correctly do thier job and check the car like they are supposed to when it gets returned) or it was stolen by Danny (manager on the next day and person trying to gaslight me every time i called in the morning and then multiple times during the day following up & also there when i showed up in person, really he is an all around horrible un empathic lying individual) or Cam and Bry stole it when I dropped off the car the night before. (however, they were both very nice when i picked up and dropped off the car the day before) However, one of these employees did STEAL . my nice folding table and then lied to me and repeatedly tried to gaslight me saying i never left it. Protect yourself and Don't go to this location that tries to gaslight you into thinking you didn't leave an item instead of admitting they stole the item, or does their job correctly. i could of picked up my table that next morning.(This is just a table i'm sure they stolen dozens of things left accidentally) if i could leave negative stars i would!!! Danny, mel, Eli, Cam and Bry need to be held accountable for thier deplorable and illegal behavior!

Drove the car approximately 6 miles total back and forth to my friend's house on 8/4 car was in a hotel parking lot overnight. On 8/5 car would not start. Check engine lights, battery and oil all lit up on dashboard. Called customer service, tow truck could not come for 2 hours. They had NO REPLACEMENT car available for me. The closest available car they could offer was in Newark Airport. I had to forfeit the $88 I paid to transport the car on the Bridgeport ferry. Even after I explained that I had to be at a memorial for my father they were essentially like "oh well" they also declined to refund my car rental for the day I had no car. So I had to spend over $300 total for Ubers to get me to the service and back. And then when I got home, I discovered that they EXTENDED my rental (the one that broke down) and charged an additional $1400 to my credit card despite the fact that their tow truck took the car at 11:53 on 8/5 and the car was in my possession for 25 hours TOTAL. I have disputed all charges with my cc and have filed a complaint with the BBB. Do not use this company under any circumstances.

The associate was very helpful until I was asked to provide proof of personal auto insurance. I explained that I did not have a personal auto insurance policy because I did not have a functioning vehicle at the time. I also informed the manager that I worked for Enterprise in Florida, but my driver's license was still issued by Connecticut because I was in the process of transferring it to Florida for my employment. I explained that I am a student who has lived in Florida for the past two years, but I had only been employed with Enterprise for about three weeks at that point. The manager then questioned why my license was still from Connecticut and made a passive-aggressive comment: "Well, if you work for Enterprise, how is your license still in CT? Even here we have to transfer them." I found this unnecessary, especially after I had already explained my situation. Shortly afterward, she told me she needed to see a utility bill and repeatedly stated that everything would be "verified thoroughly." She emphasized this multiple times, making me feel as though she viewed me as a liability. As an Enterprise employee with a valid Connecticut driver's license, I knew this additional verification was not required because my profile is already verified to rent, as indicated by the green verification circle. I know this because I have rented from multiple Enterprise branches in Florida without any issues. After I provided a utility bill, she then informed me that she could not accept my debit card, despite having seen it in my hand throughout the interaction. At that point, another customer who had overheard the conversation stated that she had just paid with the exact same type of card I was attempting to use and had experienced no issues. Overall, I felt discriminated against during this interaction, especially as an Enterprise employee who understands the rental and verification process. It seemed as though the manager was looking for any reason not to rent to me and continued asking unnecessary personal questions regarding my residency. The experience was particularly frustrating because I urgently needed a one-way rental to transport my belongings back to Florida. As a result, I had to visit a different Enterprise branch, where I was assisted without any issues. They did not require nearly as much documentation or questioning as I experienced at the Branford branch. Enterprise prides itself on providing exceptional customer service, and I know that firsthand because I strive to uphold those standards every day as an employee. Unfortunately, I did not receive that same level of professionalism or respect during this experience, which was both disappointing and disheartening.

I brought it back at noon on Thursday. The man behind the counter was a little rude due to the timing (I didn't know you have to return in at the exact time you rent it) but the woman quickly took over and took care of all of my concerns. The place is quite cheaper than any other place and if you want unlimited miles than this is the place for you. I found this experience quite easy and would definitely rent again. I recommend this place to anyone above and beyond. Thank you Sixt rentals.

Cheap Rental, But Absolutely NOT Worth the Headache -- Stay Away from Sixt…read more I strongly regret renting from Sixt. I had seen the negative reviews before booking, but I decided to give them a chance because in 30+ years, I had never had a bad experience with any rental car company before in the US. I should have listened to the reviews. Our nightmare started the second day after we picked up the car. The car suddenly wouldn't start, leaving us stranded in a remote location. We had to wait THREE HOURS for Sixt to send AAA. Three hours of our vacation were completely wasted because Sixt gave us a car that couldn't even reliably start. But the worst part came afterward. Because the car was in such poor condition, we decided to return it two days early. Before returning the car, we contacted both Sixt and Expedia and specifically asked whether we would receive a refund for the two unused days. We were told yes. After we returned the car, the story completely changed. Sixt told us to contact Expedia. Expedia contacted Sixt while I was on the phone and the representative even sent Sixt the email request they asked for. Then the next day Sixt told Expedia that I needed to contact Sixt to process the refund. When I contacted Sixt, they claimed they had never received Expedia's email and told me that I had paid Expedia, not Sixt so I had to go back talking to Expedia. Back and forth. Again and again. Finally, Expedia arranged a three-way call with Sixt. Only then did a Sixt representative--who refused to give me his name--finally tell me that Sixt would NOT refund the two unused days because the rental had been prepaid. Excuse me? If prepaid rentals are non-refundable, why didn't Sixt tell us that when we called BEFORE returning the car and specifically asked about the refund? Instead, we were told that we would get a refund, only to be told afterward that there would be no refund. Whether this was incompetence, poor communication, or simply an attempt to avoid paying the refund, the result was the same: we lost money and wasted hours dealing with Sixt and Expedia. A rental car company should provide a safe, reliable vehicle and stand behind what its employees tell customers. Sixt failed us on both counts. My advice: Don't be tempted by Sixt's low prices. The money you save isn't worth the risk, inconvenience, and frustration. Sixt clearly doesn't care about its customers or the problems it causes them. 1 star -- I would never rent from Sixt again.
