Shortly after beginning our trip, it became clear that the vehicle was unsafe to operate at highway speeds. It was unstable when encountering potholes or normal road imperfections, making it difficult to maintain control. Given the road conditions in Indiana and the fact that we were driving in the dark for several hours, avoiding these hazards was not always possible. In addition, the vehicle had defective speakers, producing significant distortion and rattling at low volume levels (above level 10), rendering the audio system largely unusable. After arriving in Destin, we promptly went to Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Fort Walton the following day to exchange the vehicle due to these issues. At that time, we specifically pointed out existing scratches and windshield chips on the replacement vehicle. The employee acknowledged these pre-existing conditions and confirmed they would not be an issue. Despite this, I have now received notice that a $500 claim for a cracked windshield has been submitted to my insurance. This is unacceptable. I have clear video documentation from the time of pickup that shows the pre-existing windshield damage, and I am fully prepared to provide this evidence. Filing a claim with my insurance without any prior communication is both inappropriate and unwarranted. At a minimum, I should have been contacted to discuss the alleged damage before any claim was initiated. Had that occurred, I would have immediately provided proof demonstrating that the damage was pre-existing. I expect this claim to be withdrawn promptly after review of the evidence. Please confirm that this matter is being corrected and that no further action will be taken with my insurance provider.

We immediately cancelled our Budget car rental and walked to Alamo right next to the Budget counter and it was great, fast friendly, professional and made a terrible experience turn into a great experience. Catina was the Alamo employee who took great care of us. Alamo is our go too from now on. We were on our way quickly and without a hassle.

The vehicle was ready to go as soon as I arrived; we did a quick walk-around and I was ready to go in just a few minutes. They provided me with a very nice SUV that ran and rode well. Dante assisted me when I picked up and returned the car; he was both professional and friendly. Another kind female employee even drove me back home when I returned the rental! I'd recommend this Enterprise location.

Recently, I started ordering my rentals through Costco because you can get a great discounted price compared to ordering directly from Enterprise. The Costco on line ordering is easier to use than the Enterprise ordering process, too. When I picked up the car, the staff seemed a little stressed. It seems they don't have enough cars for the high demands of rentals. That said, they had a Subaru ready for me. The check in process is really easy and the staff friendly. The car was dirty and smelled of smoke. There was also an issue with a film on the windshield that caused glare in dark, rainy weather. Other than those issues, the car ran great, was comfortable and got decent gas mileage. I did tell the clerk about all the issues when I returned the car and they took notes. I'll probably continue to rent from Enterprise, because of the convenience. But I don't think they are able to stand up to the guarantee that they promise customers at this time. I'm rating them a 3 because this is the first time that I ever had issues.

I…read morecaution anyone not read the fine print- they will try to slam you with a 450 dollar charge for any pet hair, so please make sure you do a sweep before returning if you decide to give this place your business. Although the posted sign says that the fee is for a "smoke smell"- and we don't smoke! So not sure why that charge would ever apply to us but we did have to pick up our dog after vacation so she shed a bit in the front seat. I should have done a quick sweep before returning but my god! $450?! I am sorry- that fee is criminal for some fur- I know the establishment has a detailer in the back, and the man at the desk was incredibly rude and short with me when I was discussing the charge. I get returning the rental in a decent condition. It is not like we blew it up, or caused damage to vehicles whatsoever but that amount is completely absurd for something that will be discarded with the normal clean up process.
