I rented a vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car on March 6th for a trip to Destin, and was provided with a Volkswagen Taos. We departed at approximately 3:00 AM on March 7th. Shortly after beginning our trip, it became clear that the vehicle was unsafe to operate at highway speeds. It was unstable when encountering potholes or normal road imperfections, making it difficult to maintain control. Given the road conditions in Indiana and the fact that we were driving in the dark for several hours, avoiding these hazards was not always possible. In addition, the vehicle had defective speakers, producing significant distortion and rattling at low volume levels (above level 10), rendering the audio system largely unusable. After arriving in Destin, we promptly went to Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Fort Walton the following day to exchange the vehicle due to these issues. At that time, we specifically pointed out existing scratches and windshield chips on the replacement vehicle. The employee acknowledged these pre-existing conditions and confirmed they would not be an issue. Despite this, I have now received notice that a $500 claim for a cracked windshield has been submitted to my insurance. This is unacceptable. I have clear video documentation from the time of pickup that shows the pre-existing windshield damage, and I am fully prepared to provide this evidence. Filing a claim with my insurance without any prior communication is both inappropriate and unwarranted. At a minimum, I should have been contacted to discuss the alleged damage before any claim was initiated. Had that occurred, I would have immediately provided proof demonstrating that the damage was pre-existing. I expect this claim to be withdrawn promptly after review of the evidence. Please confirm that this matter is being corrected and that no further action will be taken with my insurance provider. read more

Enterprise stole my $300 deposit with no explanation as to why. No one picks up the phone at the actual store. Customer service didn't explain why they kept my money either they'll just hang up the phone on you and they won't value you as a Customer at all. The store said everything was good when I dropped the car off and said it'll be returned in 3 business days. Cleaned it out and even ended up pouring twice as much gas in it. This location has been absolutely wonderful thru my whole process. I've interacted with multiple people and they've all had great personalities. Henry took me out to my rental for the walk around etc and was very personable then as well. My rental was super clean, and you can tell they put effort into their jobs. Unfortunately, I've had to come here on an almost weekly basis for a few months while fixing issues with my car and I do mean months. On my bday I rented a car and was called that morning and told it was not available. Ok, that was annoying but whatever since you at least told me in advance. Now 2 months later I reserved a car for almost a week and once I'm there, I was told that was no longer available (only SUVs). I asked was that an up charge and was met with a yes. I asked if they had a smaller one and was told no, but they could work on the price. The prices given to me were higher than renting a vehicle at the airport. I opted to instead go to the airport since their options are bigger and their cars tend to look better on the outside and inside. I frequented this location due to the great pricing I received, but the lack of customer service will have me choosing the airport from here on out. I don't want to hassle over a car that I know for a fact will have either a scratch, cracked windshield or a dent, because this location honestly has the worst cars I've seen. I also don't want to continue paying for cars that are not fully clean in the inside. That interaction was the last straw for me. Also, please tell the guys who show us to the car to refrain from being so pushy. I don't expect a salesman's pitch for add-ons. I would just like to receive my vehicle and leave. One guy told us he was told to get 3 nos and the up charges help them to become managers. Honestly, it's annoying for an already stressful situation of needing a car and this particular guy was no longer interested in giving me a walk around after I declined. I wrote a prior review, but wasn't finished. The third issue was the windshield wipers; they were shot! Surely the rental office tests them out between clients. As the windshield became dirty I turned on the washer. The wipers didn't make contact with the windshield and I was left with a dirty windshield, dirty water and a frozen patch of dirty ice obstructing my visibility!! I had to stop at 2 gas stations just to clean the windshield so I could drive safely!! Then I became upset and since it was Sat afternoon and after hours, I called a general info # to see if I could replace the wipers and get reimbursement; the call center gave me permission, so I had better be reimbursed!! It is unfortunate that I paid good money for the rental, and I had these issues. I will likely choose another company next time! read more

When I went to return the car, I asked the employee that looked like Dwight Shrute what the extra $38 charge was all about because insurance was paying for the rental, and he said not to worry about it and he'd refund me for it. This group of folks are prompt, instructive and provide great customer service. This rental was arranged through a Church Brothers Repair Shop. Enterprise picked me up at the shop and took me to there place of business where the my information was provided. Marcus, not sure the spelling is correct, was quick and courteous. Once all the paperwork was done he explained the cars features to me and I was on my way. I should also say that the car was spotless! Once my car was repaired, I was instructed to just leave the car at Church Brothers and that they would pick it up there. Enterprise made this a very pleasant & easy process in a great location for me. I would highly recommend them. read more

Admittedly, I am young and have limited experience with rental cars, but I do have experience with customer service and let me just say that this location does it right! This is obvious to say but customer service is so important in a world where I could simply use a competitor that offers me the same product! Every single person I worked with was helpful, friendly, considerate and assisted me with my last minute unexpected need for a rental car and dealing with insurance companies. They were also very fast despite being quite busy at the time of returning the car. I was referred to them originally from Church Brothers Collision right down the street from them and I can see why they recommend them. They explained everything to me, were honest and didn't pressure me to add extra things to the rental that I did not need. I would be happy to use them again (though I hope I don't need one for collisions anytime soon) and hope they continue to keep up their stellar customer service. read more

I rent regularly for work and have always had amazing customer service. I've always been pleased with the options of vehicles and how fast the turn around time is to get in and out. Chris is amazing to work with and even if it's been a coupke months since I rented, he always welcomes me by name. I've kept cars longer than my reservation and show up late and it's never an issue. I live closer to a different location and went there a couple of times but it was not a great experience. Nothing bad happened and my car was ok but the service was not the same. My only recommendation for all enterprise locations is they should put a box of kleenex in the cars. It would be a cheap perk for the customers. read more

We had a great experience with Enterprise. We rented an 8 passenger mini van for a week. When we got there to pick it up, they gave us a choice of a new Pacifica or a Kia. We fell in love with the Pacifica! Jennifer did a FANTASTIC job for us in the Avon location! I highly recommend her! Also, the rep who took us out to the vehicle was outstanding in customer service! There was just a little bit of cleaning fluid in the dash area, and he didn't want to let us go until he cleaned it up.
