1 star. Do not rely on any reservation made with Hertz. Make multiple reservations to shore up your chances you can MAYBE get in a car. Otherwise, it's a gamble. Just a wish that may not come true. However, I appreciate Kimberly speaking with me about my challenges. Once she stopped trying to over talk me, she listened and helped me understand that only option was to go to the airport and try my luck there. I prepaid for a car for this location then morning of rental they informed they had no cars and to wait 7 to 10 days for my refund now well beyond the 10 days they have no record of the transaction but their it is gone from my account their customer service is very disorganized and hard to understand they have no clue what there doing read more

We got a rental car and after only driving it for 20 mins maybe it stopped getting cold and we tried to figure what was wrong for a good 10 mins and we eventually realized there was a problem with the cars engine and that there was no coolant in the engine. The weather outside was -1 Fahrenheit so u can guess how cold it must have been. read more

This is a small local Hertz branch in Brownsburg. I've rented from here twice. This last time was an extended rental and I wasn't sure how long we would need it. The online process was easy. You don't want to call to reserve as the charge 5% more. The local manager is Summer Willoughby and she was very helpful. She took the time to explain the car and it's features to my Mom. She also was happy to answer questions about extending the car and returning early.It was a good experience and I would rent here again. read more

I sure wish I had seen these other reviews before I rented from this location or this company as a whole. We booked a rental with them and like other reviews for this place they just didn't have the rental we reserved, but we just so happen to have this really expensive vehicle for an upgrade charge. It is also the only vehicle we have available, so decide whether you want to pay the the up charge or want to go without transportation. when I complained to Hertz corporate office, I was told that "you signed the rental agreement for the up charge". I will be contacting the BBB. This company uses deceitful business practices, please stay away and save yourself from being screwed over like I was!!! read more

Worst customer service ever. Cannot get to billing. I have been given the complete run around. It's not necessarily this location, but the company as a whole. Their automated process is complete garbage. I would never recommend using them again. Would sooner Uber to every location then use Hertz. read more

On 06/03/22 I rented a vehicle from the Brownsburg In. location. Over the past few years I have used this location about 4 - 5 times. There has never been a problem. The actual rental of the vehicle was fine....Was handed the key and told it's the brown one. Got in the car and the windshield was completely covered in bugs and it only had 1/2 tank of gas (I was always told to bring them back full). Stopped to fill up and realized the car had never been cleaned back up from previous renter and was filthy (outside). I never noticed it when we put our travel bags in back that one of the side panels is cracked. Noticed it when we got home and now I hope they don't try to say I did it. read more

Worst customer service in the industry. Have been trying to get a car from the Brownsburg location for 5 days because ours is in the shop and the insurance company prefers to go through Hertz. They rarely answer their phone and after several attempts to contact them they told us twice that they have no cars available!? They claim that they can not contact other Hertz locations to acquiring a vehicle for us and they have not called us back (as they claimed that they would) when another vehicle becomes available. Even our insurance agent is having problems getting us a car through this location so now they are setting us up an account with Enterprise. We have given them way too long to figure out how to get us a car to the point that there is no excuse. Laziness and poor customer service gets them 1 star. read more

I have to agree with the other review on this place. Avoid it at all cost. And I do mean cost. Pricey. They don't answer the phone. And when I say they don't answer the phone, I don't mean "Oh, I called once or twice and they didn't answer." I mean that getting somebody over there to answer the phone will make you feel like you won the lottery. Even leaving a message is difficult as their phone system routes you around until you get an unknown mailbox to leave a voicemail. Go with Enterprise or Budget. read more

Car was clean and pleasant to drive, service was top-notch. All the employees that I worked with - either on the phone or in person- were helpful and friendly. Loved that I was able to extend my rental by two days (without any extra fees or exorbitant prices!) when my return trip got delayed. Very impressed. Will be back. read more

You call the dealer they tell you, yes they can help but you have to come into the shop. You go into the shop and they wil treat you like a complete idiot, and they tell you they can't help you. Got a great deal online. When I arrived the staff was curteous and helpful. The transaction took less than 10 minutes. When we were returning the car we received the same treatment and were in and out in less than 5 minutes. Will definitely use the Brownsburg Hertz in the future. read more

Worst rental car service I have ever experienced. Rented a minivan for spring break. They had to bring one over from Lafayette. It was dirty and damaged. We had to clean it and take it to the car wash before we could leave. The location cut the price in half due to the condition of the vehicle. However that was just the beginning of the problem. We drove the vehicle a few hours south and the front wheel is shaking so badly we end up having to find a hertz location to trade vehicles. Someone drove the vehicle from Lafayette to Brownsburg and knew the wheel was bad, but they put us in it anyway. Since it was a weekend, we had to find an airport location. When calling Hertz they said there was a minivan to trade out for at the location so we drove out of our way to get the trade. When we arrived, the location did not have a minivan. They traded the minivan for a large SUV, which used much more gas than we budgeted for. Finally, we return the vehicle on the correct day and two days later we get a call from Hertz vehicle control department because it shows the vehicle was not returned! This location is completely incompetent in its ability to do their job! read more

This is absolutely the WORST place to rent a car. The customer service here is guaranteed to be terrible! They never disappoint or fail in being that way. They never ever pick up the phone. I mean you can call over and over and over and the phone will just ring and ring and ring. When they do pick up the phone, they are so impolite. They claim never to have a vehicle even after the website or 1-800 number called says there is one in that location. They say they will pick you up but claim never to have a driver around. The person who picks up the phone will always say they are alone in the office. Get there two minutes later and there are 2 others just sitting around - you can always hear someone else in the back office. Get the vehicle and you'd be lucky if it isn't icky. Return the vehicle and days later you get a call saying: there is a vehicle which has not been returned. Oh and do remember to check your credit card as they are sure to bill you for a returned vehicle....which by the way, the Brownsburg location will tell you they have nothing to do with that i.e you have to sort that out yourself. Do yourself a favor and rent a vehicle elsewhere. read more
