They don't have the cars they rent you on the system. First time was bait and switch, second time there were no cars at all. I was stranded. not sure if all rental cars are scams but enterprise is a scam. read more

Eric was great to work with after needing a quick rental after my car was hit. I was wanting a larger vehicle that I felt safe driving my newborn baby around in. Same day, he was able to provide me 3 choices, all that would have worked great. Drop off was quick and easy. Quick inspection, deposit returned, and it was done! I was able to drop the car off at the collision repair shop too, which made for a seamless transition back into my vehicle. I received a follow up call after to ensure I was happy with my experience. Got a car because mine was in the shop. They already picked out a car for me prior to arrival but said it would be about a half an hour and if I wanted to take one of their trucks, there would be no increased cost. I didn't particularly care what I drove so I made things easier on them and took one of the trucks that were easily available. They went to clean it. I drove it off and after about 15 minutes, the air freshener that they sprayed wore off, revealing an intense cigarette smoke smell in the cabin. every time I get in the car, I have to vent it out to not end up smelling like an ashtray by the time I'm done with my drive. Wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. read more

We had an absolutely horrid experience with this location, all the way around. Customer service is the absolute worst, and employee Jason takes the cake. We had to deal with him a handful of times and he has the most sour, miserable attitude. We needed a car rental, after being in a car accident. We were in an emergency situation when the accident occurred and needed to get back on the road, immediately, to tend to the issue. They grossly took advantage of us being in shock and pushed options on us that they knew where not only not necessary, but that insurance would not reimburse for. My partner and I both reiterated to them, while making the arrangements, we only wanted what insurance would reimburse for. Listening skills are something that highly needs improvement. There was an extreme amount of frustration for us because of lazy mistakes and misrepresentations that cost us both time and money. The loss of money, when we were in an accident that was 100% someone else's negligence, is the absolute most frustrating. But it makes the fact that we had to deal with Jason and his mega sourpuss the whole 2 weeks feel like an extra kick in the pants. My partner rarely even comments on things like customer service, but every time he spoke with Jason, he'd be in a foul mood afterwards and complain about what a "jerk" this guy was. When I finally spoke with him on the phone, I wanted to laugh. I didn't even need him to tell me his name to know I was speaking to Jason. This guy sounds absolutely angry at the entire world and as if his current situation is just hell on earth. He even answers the phone like he's Satan's receptionist, ready to throw down. A WEEK after renting the car, I was asked to come back and give them a copy of my license. I specifically asked if I needed an appointment or anything was different, with the pandemic. I was told no, come any time that day. So I arrive and proceeded up the steps of the building, wearing my mask, license in hand. A very pregnant woman, merely feet from me, practically screamed, "You CAN NOT go in there! You need to just wait right where you are until someone can get to you." So I stood in the heat, while employees continuously passed me, and waited for her to finally come and take my license and then take her sweet time going and making a copy of it. She was extremely hateful. What is going on at this location? In passing, I just have to also say, Enterprise would be smart to invest in some diversity and inclusivity training for their employees. My partner and I referring to each other as partners drove Jason absolutely bonkers. He was downright rude, trying to "figure out" our relationship. Even while on a 3way call with my insurance, he made a snide comment about not being able to figure out our relationship status. Completely classless. No wonder there are so many poor reviews for this location. read more

Picked my car up everything was great, car drove great, I asked if I could drop car off at a car dealership was told no problem I got to the dealership 10 minutes before my next day charges so I called enterprise in plainfield to tell them the car was at the dealership they said ok we will pick it up, the next day voice mail, emails saying pay for another day I called and told them the car was at stoops I again got an email to update return, I will never go back to plainfield enterprise read more

There are a lot of companies to rent cars from, and I recommend NOT using Enterprise Rent A Car. I have used this company in CA for 20 years and always received fantastic service but my one and only time now that I live in Plainfield was last weekend when it ended in a sour note. I understand that all businesses are here to make money but the extra $70 charged has eliminated any and all future business from me. read more

Customer service at the counter was great but the car I rented had just been dropped off minutes before and had not been cleaned inside or out from the previous renter. I realized this because I saw the scratch on the back hatch I'd heard the renter talking about, she was afraid she'd be charged for even though she took a photo of it when she rented it to show it was already there but Enterprise had said was fine, didn't need to be documented. There was hair and crumbs inside the car. Gross. It broke down before I was even on the highway but by that time Enterprise was closed, and since they don't offer 24 hour assistance (or anything) unless you pay extra, I had to just sit on the side of the road. I finally was able to get it restarted and it made it back the next day. It wasn't the rental experience I'm used to. read more

This location is unprofessional does not value people or circumstance. I made reservation to pick up a vehicle days before my trip. The day of the reservation, I called after I got off work to be certain the vehicle would be ready and that I would have EVERYTHING I would need. I specifically asked could I rent using a Debjt card linked to a checking account. I was told "yes". I asked was there any circumstances that I needed to be aware of prior to me getting there. I was assured that I would be fine and my rental would be ready. When I got there and presented my VALID DL and debit card the young pregnant woman refused to except and told me I HAD to have a major credit card since my license was from GA. I explained to her that I did not have one she had the audacity to look at my wallet and point out another card and say "that looks like one". Thank you for unprofessionally staring at my wallet and it contents. As if that's ok. TERRIBLE. Do not patronize. read more

Had a rental through the insurance company. The Branch Manger charged my card with out any notification, and wouldn't call me back with clarification after the insurance company sent over information to try to pay for the rest of the bill. read more

Decided to rent from Plainfield Enterprise instead of the airport Enterprise. Took a $20 cab ride from the airport to Plainfield. Save about $150-$175 in airport fees & taxes. The staff at the Plainfield Enterprise are fantastic! Friendly bunch & very helpful! And the car was an upgrade over what we originally ordered. Great service! read more

They had the minivan I wanted. Nice & clean. The check out service was polite, professional,,,just fantastic. No hassles or hard sells. And after I returned, the vehicle, I had forgotten some items. I had no problem recovering my items and was treated the same as when I rented it. I will return to this branch, if I need a vehicle again. I would recommend them to anyone.
