I would leave negative star if allowed. I've used enterprise multiple times in the last month ( the butte location) however when I went to pick up a vehicle- after booking and checking in online the ignorant lady working told me they don't accept debit cards for car rentals. I had literally used enterprise the week before with the same form of payment. So, not only did I miss my $800 non refundable flight, I was then completely stranded! The customer service is disgusting and the manager Tristian should not be working with the public. This is the worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with! read more

July 4th, I stayed overnight in Butte, MT. The next day I got up to leave and my motorcycle would not start. I called Harley Davidson at 10 am to see if they could come and get my bike. Waiting for them to arrive, I called the 800 number for Enterprise to see if the Enterprise car rental (right down the street from my hotel) had any cars available. They did. And they reserved one for me. But they closed at noon. It was 11:30. When I arrived at Enterprise, Maria was the only person working. She was cleaning, washing, fueling, renting all cars. And it was crazy. There were 4 customers in there after I came in. Since I wasn't in a hurry, I let her do what she needed to do and eventually, when she got to me (not her fault at all), she told me it would be a while because she had to wash, fuel, clean the inside of the car. I told her NOT to worry about it because I rode my motorcycle from Cincinnati, OH and it was a hot mess, I didn't care about what the car looked like. Watching her, she got it done, didn't flustered, didn't get frustrated or anything. She handled everything like a champ. When I got back into town the next week, she was kind of enough to take me 2 miles to the Harley Dealer to pick up my bike. If you are ever in Butte, MT and need a car, look up Maria. I talked to Ben before we departed DTW. He told us not to worry, he would come and pick us up even if it's after 5PM. He is helping out from Helena. They are open until 5:30PM. I called enterprise once we landed. Our bags were out in less than 10 minutes from us land. Ben picked us up. Did a walk around the car. Did the paperwork. He even came to look for us inside the airport too. He is helpful and very nice too. They are very thorough when they do the car walk around. That's a first. Still out there and it's been over 10 minutes. I do hope we don't get a Nissan. I have had 3 that have broken down on me, one was a rental too. The Toyota Camry we were supposed to get had some hail storm damage from earlier. It's a hybrid Hyundai, Pacifica or a pickup truck. They have to clean the hybrid since it was just returned. Ben is cleaning the car for us while we wait. Ben suggested visiting Missoula, has a nice river running through the middle of it. He gave us his history of how he came here from St. Louis to Helena. Ben is very warm and friendly and super cool! Off airport isn't too bad. Ben gave us the best car rental experience, ever. read more

if I could leave this rental company 0 stars I would. Reserved a rental car the night before online said everything was good to go. Get a call at 7:30 in the morning the next day saying they don't have a single rental car, that there was a recall on the car I reserved. I asked If there would be one tomorrow and the lady continued to tell me "no, you should have reserved a car earlier than the night before". I accidentally hit a deer a few hours before sorry for not knowing I would need a rental car before my accident. Save yourself some time and skip this rental car company for they don't keep their end of the deal and make you feel worse about not getting a car. read more

This was the best rental car service I've ever had! Olivia was so thoughtful, she called me the day before my rental to confirm pick up time and arranged for free transportation from the BTM airport. She was very quick, communicative and helpful the day of pick up. She also called the day after my rental to confirm transaction of the charge. The guy working at Enterprise on September 8, 2023 refused to accept a cash payment from my 63 year old mother and left her stranded in Butte, MT. She asked if she could use the office phone to call for me to come use my debt/credit card and he bluntly stated "No you can't. I'm not waiting." And closed for the day. My mother then had to walk to Walmart which is blocks away and luckily they allowed her to use their phone. Where have all the good men gone? read more

Left a review on the Avis site about the Butte airport location. I've rented in all 50 states and this is by a long shot is the worst. It's nearly comical how bad it is. Terrible customer service, filthy cars (mine had a condom wrapper in it), and they do not charge you what they quote you. I was charged double what I was quoted and after several weeks of dialing an incessantly ringing number, someone answered claiming to be the manager. They agreed with my claim and said they'd take care of it. Never did. Had to file with my CC company. So bad I'll never rent from Enterprise read more

I seldom leave reviews but I was very disappointed. After making a reservation days in advance I was called hours before picking up the car being told it wouldn't be available until later in the day. I looked online and on both the main site and Expedia there were 10+ rentals still available for a morning pick up. When I showed up I was told a car had just returned and once the paperwork was nearly done they told me with an out of state license I could not use a bank card no matter how large of a hold is put on the card. This was not made clear anywhere when making the reservation. I left with no car and despite having a positive attitude, in comparison, there was little in return on the phone or in person. read more

As a personal injury lawyer I frequently help individuals get a rental car authorized while repairs are being completed or until the insurer pays for the damages. Enterprise is only consistent in being difficult to work with, rude and inconsiderate. Go anywhere but Enterprise! read more

I joined Yelp specifically for this review and really, what is a total decline in service in the travel industry. I an traveling to Butte Montana tomorrow . Two weeks ago, after not being able to rent a car in Butte for my dates, I decided to fly into Missoula Montana, where they had car availability. Missoula is about two hours from Butte. This morning I checked the website and it showed car availability, I rented one and received a confirmation from Enterprise. I canceled my reservation with Enterprise in Missoula and changed my flights to Butte. Subsequent to making the reservation, Enterprise cancelled my reservation, explaining they had no cars available. They said try other rental companies in Butte, knowing full well they had no cars or were not in operations. I asked them to see if they could have a car brought in from an other location. They explained that due to the nationwide shortage of cars, that was not possible. I explained to them that the nationwide storage was a pitiful excuse as their were cars available in Missoula and Bozeman. They replied it would be to much trouble for them to get cars from other location. The cost of this incompetence and failure to remedy will cost me into the thousands of dollars. Please AVIOD RENTING A CAR FROM THIS ENTERPRISE LOCATION AND NOW FROM ANY ENTERPRISE LOCATION. read more

Might be a good idea to have more than 2 people working at a busy time rather than have your customers sit for 35 minutes just to find out this Enterprise office is useless to us (to our surprise). We chose Enterprise bc of their customer service and great prices, little did we know this was the worse mistake we could have made!!! Corporate and their satellite offices need to communicate and need to communicate with their customers! Spent the day chasing our tails b/c corporate tells us one thing and the office tells us another. Needless to say we will never use enterprise after this. read more

I've been trying cars for business travel over 12 years and this had to be one of the more personal experiences. There was a short wait with getting the car, but that was because the agent was taking time with each customer to ensure a great experience. My rental was clean and drove like a champ. Got promptly dropped off at the airport after returning the vehicle. I will use them again the next time I'm in the area. read more

We specifically requested a van with fold-down seats a week in advance because we had to haul a lot of stuff to another state. We called every other day to check and make sure we were getting it. We didn't get it. We had the choice of a huge double cab truck where our stuff would be exposed in the back, or a tiny suv that we barely fit in and could not hold our stuff. It was frustrating because we had no other options and we had to pick one. While the Customer service person was nice, and did offer us a bit of a discount, she didn't seem too concerned about our plight. We have rented from Enterprise before and prefer to stick with the same company but I won't be reserving a vehicle through this company again. read more

Very prompt pick-up at Butte airport, friendly driver, helpful with local information. Relatively easy process got me into vehicle and on my way. Clean, well-functioning car. Woman (sorry, name forgotten) who got me into the car was careful to point out features I might not have been (and wasn't) familiar with in new model Dodge. Office near airport and motels. A smooth experience. One star missing from review only because she was the only person working the paperwork and there was a minor back-up of customers.
