It's nice no frills hotel close to the interstate and right off the exit the best thing is it's close to a lot of business's it's next to the only Chinese buffet into and a little slot casino. The breakfast isn't the best but the rooms are decent and so is the pool. Staff has always been nice...

The front desk people are friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean so I was able to get a good nights rest. The whole place was kept clean and I would stay here again.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels. A lot. Most have been pretty good, some exceptional, some poor and then there have been a few in the Comfort Inn of Butte category. Think of this highway hovel as the Fawlty Towers of the Rockies. After a horrific stay earlier the same week at a Comfort Inn north of Pittsburgh off I-80 I should have known better; yet exhaustion coupled with a need for sleep following an endless day of driving wasn't enough to overcome the extent of awfulness at this tired tacky temple of throughway lodging. First off, they graciously gave me at the reduced rate of $99 at my 11pm arrival time. It was almost as though I was lucky to get a room. Lugging my stuff up to the room I'm getting a sinking feeling as I walk along the tired mildewed hallway. When I get to the room the key, of course, does not work. Back to the desk for another key. Back to the room: failure again. Back to the front desk where I tell them to give me another room or come back with me and open it themselves. I'm told the maintenance guy will meet me at the room. Five minutes later, ponytail maintenance guy comes and after some serious swiping, wiping and sliding finally giggles the door open. I'm in. My room was just what you'd expect to find in Butte at a '2 star' franchise chain hotel: In a word: tired. Too tired to obsess, I figure out the wifi which, remarkably, works. Searching for the tv remote, I can't find it anywhere; not on the bedside table, not on or around the tv; not in bedside drawer. I call the front desk and ponytail comes back up. He brings a remote. It doesn't work. He tries to program it. After a minute I kick him out of the room and decide to call it quits for the night; the effects of a full day of driving finally taking a toll. Pulling back the covers and sliding between the sheets, I find the remote. It's under the covers. Hmmm. Ick. The 'free breakfast' is free for a reason. I come, look and split. Find a diner, have a meal and move on. Lesson learned. You've been warned.

Nice Bed!

The mildew smell in our room was awful. I mentioned it at the front desk so hopefully they will take care of it.

We were delighted to find a friendly person behind the front desk at 1 in the morning and the comfort inn gave us everything we needed.

My 5 star review is slashed thanks to the archaic policy of deposit (whooping $250 for a $100…read moreroom). Deposits have disappeared in quality hotels and were used to either boost their ledger and/or the hotel is a history of unruly guests - either way it holds the guests money from use for days! Since the clerk does not check the room upon checkout and releases the deposit without checking, deposits are meaningless. Deposit policies should be easy to spot on reservation webpages and BEFORE you arrive at the hotel. I typically leave hotels with these deposits as seems unsafe. Not to mention I have to verify return of deposit after I leave the hotel. Extra work for a nights stay. So the 5 star I was leaving plummeted thanks to a unnecessary and unwarranted deposit - especially with such a large number Improve? Take away the deposit

Their pool area is nice but constantly filled with little munchkins. Their gym is trash. Only 2 treadmills, 2 bikes, and one weight machine. Our rooms air conditioning didn't work. Obviously maintenance things come up but it appears they knew about it and still tried to stick us in that room and then it was an hour wait for them to come look at it and move my rooms. If you are just staying one night, this place is clean and nice for a quick stay minus the gym and room situation.

I rarely write bad reviews. I am optimistic and try to see the good in things. But this place is…read morejust BAD. We were on a long Montana trip and ended up needing to spend the night in Butte. I didn't expect a lot from a Ramada but Whyndham is decent, right? They are considered a step up from a pure budget motel, right? Wrong. From the moment we checked in, I complete regretted choosing this place. It was late and we just wanted to get our kids to bed yet the front desk person demanded IDs from me AND my wife. They then photocopied them and put them in a box on the desk and said they will keep them for 3 years. What in the world? I have NEVER had a hotel do that. They're worried about guests taking something from the room or damaging them somehow. Guess what? There is literally NOTHING worth taking in any of these rooms. And they already look like they are damaged! The entire hotel is extremely run down, dilapidated, grungy. The hallways are dark, musty. Garbage cans are overflowing with trash. If you know what 'The Backrooms' are, well, this is it! The bedrooms are sparse, which is fine but the beds, towels, everything, are just old and tired. The mattress was the old school spring type with worn out springs. Absolutely the worst mattress I have slept on in many years. Surprisingly, it wasn't as terrible as I thought it was going to be. Luckily, we were all tired enough from our long day driving that we slept ok, though I was worried about my truck getting broken into in the sketchy parking lot. It was fine. They offer free breakfast but we had absolutely no desire to eat at this place and got up early and got the heck out of there. I went to the front desk and requested that they turn over the copies of our drivers licenses that they were keeping in a flimsy, unlocked plastic box on the front desk. The front desk attendant told me this is a Montana law and all hotels do it (baloney!) but after I insisted, reluctantly handed them over. I absolutely do not recommend anyone ever stay here. I also most likely will never stay at a Ramada or maybe even any hotel under the Wyndham brand after this experience. How in the world Wyndham corporate lets this dirty dive bear the Wyndham name is beyond me. Yes, it was that bad. If you find yourself in Butte, Montana, stay anywhere but here. I didn't take many photos of this place but you can check out the couple I snapped of the inside of the room with the wallpaper peeling off the wall. That should give you an idea :|

Roadtrip from Yellowstone to Glacier brought us through Butte. Had to find lodging for the night…read moreand found this place right off the highway. Pulled in to see if they had vacancy and got amazing customer service from the desk clerk. She gave us 2 adjoining double queen rooms for under $100/ each. *The only "negative" of this room is that all adjoining rooms are on the first floor (love the 1st floor), BUT all 1st floor rooms can have pets. Good thing we didn't have any issues with finding pet hair or dander allergies. Speaks about their cleanliness!** Loved the price, loved the rooms. I want this kind of room every time. No carpet, luxury vinyl. Loved the modern upgraded fixtures in the room. USB charging station on the nightstand. Loved the sink outside the bathroom. The shower had hot water and good pressure. The bed was comfortable. And finally, after 4 nights in hotels, FULL (and firm!) SIZED PILLOWS. And there were 3 of them all for me! I was over the half sized feather/ fluffy pillows so far. We checked in early enough in the evening that I took advantage of their laundry services. I inquired at the front desk about this service and was gifted 2 Tide pods. They were left behind from a previous guest for others to use. Thank you to whoever you are! I found my way to the 2nd floor with $3 in quarters ($1 wash, $2 dryer). I spend approximately 1 hour sitting in the hallway with a puzzle book, trying to stay out of the way of a fellow hotelmates. So happy to get clean clothes at the halfway mark of our roadtrip. They also offer a HOT breakfast in the morning. It was also the ONLY place we got a hot breakfast included in our stay. Thank you very much. I witnessed a front desk staffer (manager?) make scrambled eggs on an electric skillet in their admin office, just steps away from the breakfast room. There was also hot sausage links, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, milk, coffee, juice. All yummy. By the time we were done eating at 8:30, all the tables were full of people. Overall, this place hit it out of the park. I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area in the future.

This hotel is under the I15 overpass which is very noisy. It is an old and tired building that is dirty from the lobby to the rooms. The bathroom is part of the actual room. The furnishings are crap. There were remnants of dead bedbugs everywhere. We prepaid for a week but left after the first night even though we would not receive ANY refund. Booked another great hotel in Butte and put this NIGHTMARE behind us. We will NEVER stay at a Wyndham property again! STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE and NEVER book through a third party. It's a rip off!!!!
