Very disappointed with this enterprise location. We reserved a large vehicle (8 seater) more than 8 days before we needed the rental. They confirmed we would have the vehicle we needed as we stressed to the representative that we needed an 8 seater. When we arrived the day of pick up there were several issues. 1. I waited to be attended for over 20 minutes. 2. The 8 seater car wasn't available. We expressed our frustration as we told the representatives numerous times that we needed a larger car. While the person who did help me was very apologetic it doesn't take away the fact that they didn't hold up the end of their bargain. Honestly, this is the second time this place screws me over! The first time I made a reservation online through the app and when I showed up, they did not have the 15 passenger van available that I reserved. The second time I tried to make a reservation I called ahead two days before to confirm that they are going to have a 15 passenger van I needed. Hugo told me to call back the next day at 10am to confirm. I called back and he told me to give him an hour and he would call me back to confirm, I did not receive a call back so I called back again at 12... some other guy tried to help me because the original guy was busy and he also said he would call me back in an hour to confirm...come 3 o'clock, I call back. I could not keep waiting as I had an important event that night and I needed the van confirmation for the next day. Finally, Hugo puts me on hold and he is able to confirm that they DO NOT have the van that I had already made a reservation for on the app days prior!!! he tells me this at 3 PM after I kept calling as I wanted to confirm for the following day!! the app, the company, all of it, should not allow me to make a reservation if they cannot confirm that they are going to have the car available. I have an extremely important event with people that I have to pick up tomorrow in this van and now I am stuck without way to transport them tomorrow here I am the day before trying to look anywhere in Southern California for this 15 seater that I thought I would have because I made a reservation. Alright, I'm going to start with some background facts, my company has a rental agreement with enterprise so anytime we need to travel by car for work we rent from enterprise. This location is the one closest to my home so it's the default location I rent from. The people working here are great, they're genuinely helpful and do their best, but I have to say there aren't enough of them. I recall coming in to pickup my rental at the appointed time and waiting 50 minutes for help, because there were only two people behind the counter working their tails off. One was helping a woman with a credit card issue and the other was helping another customer with another issue which took significantly longer to complete. Leaving me sitting around and wasting time since there was no one else available to help me. I truly believe this is a a corporate issue as there just doesn't seem to be any desire to hire enough staff members, maybe I was unlucky and came ima. Busy day. If you're getting your vehicle serviced at one of the dealers at Cerritos Auto Square, this Enterprise is the defacto "on site" loaner desk. Depending on the dealership, they may or may not cover the rental. For me and my 2020 Pacifica, it was covered. I got into the same type of vehicle I had serviced which was a plus (I have 4 kids). The van only had 1800 miles on it and was a PHEV. I had a charger at home since I also own a Jeep 4Xe, so I looked forward to trying out the van since I had a purely ICE one. I was disappointed that the van had a "service hybrid system" warning light and chime that kept popping up and going off whenever I stepped off the brakes. I was worried how safe this thing was and when I called the store (you have to go through this ungodly long phone tree), I was given the option to return it for another van or car. Great. However, when I found the time to go back to Enterprise, my van was ready, so I didn't have a chance to exchange it. The rental experience was somewhat slow as they had to get cars from a remote location, get it washed and then deliver it to customers. I've been at other Enterprises and they seemed to have a better flow on getting customers into cars. The return experience, though, was AMAZING. There was an associate outside checking in another vehicle when I pulled up. She asked if I was returning and I said yes. She got the keys, checked the fuel level and scanned me out in less than a minute! W O W!!! I really wanted to give this place more stars, but that dang warning light and chime gave me a scare. The car should not have been put in service until it was fixed. Make the check out experience as fast as the check-in and have cars ready that don't have warning lights and you'll have quite an enterprise going. read more

My Jeep needed an inner front fender replaced under warranty. Cerritos Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM was backed up the day I had my appointment. I was eventually offered a rental at no cost through Enterprise. Cerritos Dodge gave me a ride over to the somewhat hidden Enterprise office. Actually I don't recall it ever being there before. Checkin on the mid-afternoon of 12/8/21 was easy. Daniel reminded me of the process. Then he looked at me and said, "Would you be willing to drive a truck?" I chuckled. It was so much easier going the paperless route. Everything - even the credit card obtaining which was credited back to my card almost immediately - was done from his tablet. We had the big black RAM for two days. No major issues... Just my kids begging me to put side steps on the RAM they issued me. "No, just climb in already!" I'm so mean, right? Lol. Return on 12/10/21 was easy, and because I had to bring it back with my kids in tow, a different gentleman whose name I forgot gave us a ride back to Cerritos Dodge... he even made sure we entered the building before he took off. I hate writing bad reviews as you can see from my other reviews However the way I was treated yesterday by the manager Brandon at this branch was not acceptable. back story 3 years ago I got in to a wreck AAA covered 30 days of rental and my body shop covered the extra 4 days. enterprise some how made a mistake and it showed the 4 days were not paid months later with out anyone calling to notify me or the body shop or AAA. A year after that I went to go rent a truck for a business trip and I was told I was on the do not rent list. After a phone call the manager was able to straighten it out and fix the problem. after an audit I was sent a refund check for the double payment. now yesterday I took my jeep in for a service that will take a few days and the dealer sent me to enterprise for a 5 day rental. When I got there the office was a little busy but the other employees worked hard and got customers into cars fast. Brandon came to help me and took my Driver license and credit card. A seconds later he advised me that I was on the do not rent list. I tried telling him that it was by mistake and a phone call would clear it up like it did last time. I told him I was about 30 miles from home and would be stuck out here. He said he didn't even know how to call to clear this up. Him being the manager you think he would know. He gave me a random 800 number that was not even an enterprise number. when I asked him to please check the number he looked bothered and look at the number and said the last digit was a 9 not an 8. still the wrong number. Still with a bad attitude and not being helpful or willing to help he gave me another number which lead me to a call center that said they would return my call. By this time the body shop and the other branch that was in charge last time supplied me with the Reference # 7500-3384-8444462 the rental agrreement number 5d5dh5 and even a picture of the canceled check #18422 I advised him I had all this information and if he would please help me. He said its Friday afternoon and he didn't have time to do all that. I told him I was stuck with no ride 30 miles from home. I had the body shop on speaker talk to him and they told him that the other enterprise said it could all be cleared up by him calling risk management. By this point he was in and out of his office with no customers around and only came out after the service writer from the dealer called him. At this point he made the call and cleared things up in about 20 minutes. During my time waiting a young lady came in and said she was here to trade in her rental That Brandon had got her a rav 4 as an upgrade. She mentioned what a great guy he was after she came in yesterday and they were chatting and Brandon asked her what was her dream rental. He would have it here the next day and I guess he did. I guess hard working customers like my self don't get the same treatment as a 22 year old young lady. He had time to get her dream rental in but no time to call to clear a mistake up. from this point on Chi Ellis helped me. She gets 5 stars. This review would be a 1 star if it was not for her helping me. she gave me my choice of rentals and helped me pick out one that was had some of the valued options our Rubicon has. Heated seats is a big thing for us. she helped find me one with that option. we did a walk around and she wrote down the blemishes the rental car and explained a few things. She gave me the service I expected when I walked in. She took the time to figure out my best option and cared. Horrible service and communication. I rented a pickup truck a month ago and it went smoothly. I just provided my license and debit card. 3-4 weeks later, I make another reservation for a pickup truck and go today. They tell me they don't accept debits! Only CREDIT CARDS. Call first if they have car availability because their website will show inventory ... that they don't have on site. 2. Online bookings are cheaper so i repeat CALL AHEAD FOR THE SIZE VEHICLE YOU NEED... they don't price match... so if they don't have a car size you're looking for and they offer you an upgrade they'll up charge you on the spot what would have been cheaper online for that upgraded sized car. 3. There tends to be a wait here at this location. Average 10-45 minutes for check in, purchase and drive off. (yes I've waited 45 minutes pre covid) 4. Enterprise supplementals are costly if you choose to buy it. Separate coverage for damage, loss, 3rd party damages, roadside etc. Like, can you have an all in one? Shrug. 5. Full disclosure: Chevy covered my rental both times but I have to say. Everybody at this branch is SO GOOD with customer service. I was offered a Subaru Crosstrek which I didn't take because it was too big for me and they didn't mind. So I was given a Toyota Camry and I drove it. The next day, I woke up and it had a flat tire. I called Roadside Assistance which put on the donut for me and they switched me out of that car immediately. I was taken care of and everybody was so kind throughout this entire process. It is so commendable. Brandon, Hector and Autumn are angels from the heaven above. (I love Brandon and his funny jokes!) I had an issue with my rental and they took care of it, no problem at all. Everybody at this Enterprise is SO big on customer service. I wish this branch of Enterprise had more electric vehicles (just because that's more convenient for me). I have been using Enterprise Cerritos Auto Square for many years multiple times a year. The staff are always pleasant. Unfortunately just this 4th of July weekend, we were rented bad minivan. About 2 hours on our drive, the AC stopped working. We had to drive to our destination with no AC during the heatwave 100 degree weather for the most of the way. We left July 4th which Enterprise is closed for the holiday. I spent the whole day the next day talking with the Road Side Assistance finding a replacement for our minivan, which they keep offering me a 5 passenger vehicle which is not going to work for us. To make long story short, towards the end of business day for most Enterprise someone find us a replacement after persistent calling, not to mention the fact that my husband and I had to spend in Firestone just to find out what's wrong with AC. After waiting for the diagnosis to be done, we were told that the compressor is bad. Pretty bad 4th of July weekend. read more

I spoke with a customer service agent and they said everything was confirmed and I asked them "are sure because they left a voicemail asking me to call them back. Zero! I cannot believe this place, i made a reservation their system confirmed. When i came to pick up my reservation they tell me they dont have any cars, but the lot is full of cars. They screwed over 2 other customers in the same situation while I was there! How can this happen? I am stranded now after paying for an Uber to get me here. So now, i have to pay for 2 Uber rides, wasted over 3 hours, and no rental car that was a confirmed reservation. The workers dont care at all who they are screwing. Another customer had to get to a funeral and Enterprise doesnt care and wont honor their reservation either! The worst part is they dont care about the harm and inconveniences they put their customers through. The "regional manager" is supposed to contact me to resolve this as I was told by the "escalations" team over the phone. I doubt they care or will try and do anything about this. Kind of hidden spot, but you can see the location off Studebaker road, across the street from Toyota dealership. This enterprise is practicing social distancing and staff has all PPE going on. The staff is nice, but move a bit slower compared to other enterprise locations im used to. I rented a 15 passenger van for a 9am pickup. They called me the day before to confirm my RSVP. They called me the morning I was to pick up the van saying my van isn't available yet, because person didn't return. Problem was I am picking up people from airport at specific times and this really put me behind schedule. The staff was nice though, just slow in preparing van, paperwork, etc. Once I brought the van to pick up my passengers, we noticed that there was a broken se a t belt reciever, which I expect some damages on rental cars. I just left the location, I made the reservation over a week ago and when I arrived was greeted by Valarie. She checked us in and we sat and waited. Appointment was @4:00. Arrived on time. Valarie came to us and said unfortunately they tried to call us yesterday and got a busy signal and they have no cargo vans. Well we all know that most of us have more than one line when it's a business and even if by chance it was busy signal you call back when a customer is expecting something from your business. They did not. They have all day on the Tues and even the better part of today to notify us that they had no vans. Could have even told us which locations may have one. But Nothing! Turns out this location does not have cargo vans available, which is what I made reservation for. Worst part is that the staff was unable to notify me, therefore I wasted a full day when I could have booked elsewhere. I needed this rental for work, the only reason I found out that there was going to be no van available when I showed up is because I called in to check just in case. GO WITH ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR!!! I made the mistake of booking a rental car reservation with the HERTZ in Lakewood, CA, but when I arrived they had NO CARS to RENT. Yet, I am fussing with them now because of a $40 charge for me not picking up a car from them. I will never make that mistake again! I went to Enterprise Rental Car in Cerritos on Auto Center Drive. Without any prior reservation, I was able to walk in and actually rent a car BECAUSE THEY HAD CARS TO RENT! I was in a car and driving away within 10 minutes of arriving. First I recieved a key that looked like a dog chewed it up and as soon as I got car home the battery for key died. So I replaced the battery myself. The visor on the car popped out of place so I simply popped it back in, no big deal. When I returned the car they wanted to charge me for visor that they said I broke, I didn't, and for not having gas in the car. I literally filled the tank the day before I returned the car. Discriminatory/unprofessional/not Veteran friendly branch manager Brandon Mindt. On wednesday November 15, 2023 I had scheduled to pick up a sedan rental from enterprise on 10901 Auto Square Dr. in Cerritos California zip code 90703 at approximately 1030AM. I reserved online and came in had a mix up on credit card information, the branch manager Brandon Mindt told me that the debit card I handed him was showing up as flagged registered in another country, and that he can not use it. I stated I had another card he could use and he just gave me a run around on how this one is also having similar issue. I said I would look into fixing or finding a card for rental and return today or tomorrow. I found my capital one had more than enough and returned approximately an hour later. Brandon Mindt branch manager was there again i handed my drivers license and card told him I figured it out. He takes both cards and pretends to run my card and tells me this is showing up as fraud and will not go through, at this point I can tell he is either refusing me service and also lying. I call bank while present and they state to me that card was never ran or fraud, I put it on speaker so he can listen directly from my bank. It is then at that point Brandon tells me I was placed on no car rent list. I ask him for what reason and he told me made up story about cards and issues. I am not sure if it was because i was dressed ragged and had really long hair for discriminatory reasons. I ended up going to Avis instead and got rental with no issues same process. I reported it on enterprise website few days later, no response since then or call which is why I am writing this now.
