Walked in, he greeted me, we talked for a minute, and he got me set up without making it a whole thing. No pressure, no over explaining, just handled it and kept it moving. Everything was straightforward and exactly how it should be. The car was ready, paperwork was quick, and I was out of there faster than I expected. That alone is worth mentioning. My experience with having a reservation from Kniesel's Collision (same as the "Karen") that left a scathing review 3 days ago, was quite different I walked in with 3 parties ahead of me, and unfortunately everyone but the manager Trent out to lunch or actively on lunch. Trent acknowledged my presence and apologized for the inconvenience and wait. Took care of the customers ahead of me, and all were nice and understanding of the wait time. When I was next, Trent informed me that he only had two options here that were covered by 'MY' insurance ($50/day),one being an Altima and the other being a minivan, both skeptical with he offered a 3rd option a Tuscan that would be transferred from Rancho Cordova with an obvious additional wait time (takes a while to get from one end of Sunrise Blvd to the other). I happily took that option as I was clearly not going anywhere and making a huff would not expidite anything. While waiting the hour for the vehicle, Trent apologized for the wait multiple times. After my selection of vehicle and waiting a couple of people dropped off their rentals one of which had a poor attitude and stated no, would not rate him well over "talking too much". Then here comes "Karen", (real name if the person that reviewed 3 days ago). As soon as she walked into the door, super entitled, Trent did greet her and advise that he had customers ahead of her. When it came to her turn, she stated that "she was in an accident, had to wait 3 hours for a tow truck, was hungry and just wanted to go home.". To which Trent asked if she wanted to pay out of pocket at all since it would be an hour wait to get the vehicle cleaned that her insurance would cover. She began berating Trent in a hostile entitled manner, was amazing to see Trent stay calm and collected the entire time. I of course I defended him and said a bunch, nothing hostile, vulgar or threatening in any way. But also will not stand idly by while someone is getting verbally assaulted. (I get it, having an accident, having to take time out of your day to have you car taken care of by a shop, conversing with your insurance and getting a rental is taxing on anyone, But do not threaten others livelihood over you failing to adult properly and ethically) Yes this review went in a different direction but it is important to me that Trent gets proper reviews rather than ones that do not show him properly. If I could give this location and Trent 10 stars out of 5, I would. read more

Up until that point, the interaction had not escalated. Your involvement introduced unnecessary hostility into what should have remained a professional exchange. Trent did not extend the same courtesy or professionalism to me that he showed you. When he stated, "I didn't know you were coming today, so I wasn't prepared for this," it immediately conveyed that my presence was an inconvenience. That comment -- not aggression on my part -- shifted the tone of the interaction. When you continued interrupting the conversation and escalating the situation, I told you to stop. Rather than disengage, you responded with "make me," which only reinforced the lack of maturity and professionalism displayed in that moment. I did not enter the business looking for conflict. I expected professional service and respectful communication. A simple solution -- such as directing me to another nearby Enterprise location with better availability -- would have resolved the issue quickly, as another business later demonstrated. Kniesels stated others have complained about Trent and this location does not have a great reputation and then the area manager agreed when I randomly say one at the Roseville enterprise. If management reviews the footage, they will see that my frustration followed dismissive treatment and outside interference -- it did not precede it. I am not interested in arguing with strangers. I expect professionalism and basic respect in a place of business. Oh boy. My experience today was far from "above and beyond." In fact, I am genuinely shocked at how awful it was. Trent's behavior was completely unacceptable. I was in a car accident this morning and had to wait three hours for a tow truck. My vehicle was taken to Kneisels, and my insurance provided me with a code for a rental. After an already exhausting and stressful morning, I walked over to Enterprise hoping to quickly pick up a vehicle and go home. When I arrived, there were three people in the lobby: Trent assisting a customer, another person sitting and waiting, and an additional Enterprise employee in the back who was not assisting anyone. While helping the first customer, I overheard Trent repeatedly ask him for a "10-star review." The customer declined and told him he would maybe give him a 7 because Trent talked too much and was overbearing. Trent looked visibly surprised and awkwardly laughed as the customer left. It was an uncomfortable and unprofessional interaction to witness. Another person then walked in and was immediately assisted, despite the fact that I had already been standing there. At no point did Trent acknowledge me--not even a simple "Hi, I'll be with you shortly," which is basic customer service. When Trent finally addressed me, I explained that I had a reservation number and had just been in an accident. His response was dismissive. He said he "didn't know I was going to be there," which felt inappropriate given the circumstances--no one plans to be in an accident. He then asked if I wanted to pay out of pocket to upgrade my vehicle. I had just experienced a traumatic morning and simply wanted the insurance-covered rental I was entitled to so I could go home. He informed me that the only two vehicles available needed to be cleaned and that it could take hours before they were ready. He again suggested that I could upgrade to a more expensive vehicle if I wanted to leave sooner, which felt like pressure to pay out of pocket in order to receive timely service. When I questioned this, another waiting customer inserted themselves into the conversation in a rude and inappropriate way. Instead of professionally managing the situation, Trent escalated it further and ultimately told me to leave, stating he could refuse service to anyone. Thankfully, the team at Kneisels kindly drove me to another Enterprise location on Sunrise in Roseville, where the experience was completely different. I was treated with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. They had a vehicle ready, and I was able to speak with a district manager about my experience. After an already stressful accident, Trent's dismissive attitude, lack of basic courtesy, and poor customer service only added unnecessary frustration to an already difficult day. This interaction demonstrated a clear lack of professionalism, empathy, and customer service skills. They allow you to book luxury cars but they have none in their lot. So they do a bait and switch. I was given only 3 regular car options (an SUV with stains all over seats, a Chevy sedan, and Hyundai Elantra). What crappy choices when they said on the phone you can get an Audi A4 or BMW. Called to get a rental and they said the car would be ready by 12noon and I dropped my husband off at 1pm only to find a completely empty office. Phone ringing and no one there. Waited until 3pm before anyone came back and apparently they took a group lunch for over 2 hours. The car wasn't ready and still had to be washed. I'm not sure how you run a business leaving your office for that long with the phones and office with no one covering but I don't think that is what your owners expect. read more

I can't say enough good things about the Enterprise location in Citrus Heights and especially about the manager, Trent. My mom is 89 years old and needed to rent a car while hers was in the shop. We called about 45 minutes before closing, fully expecting we might be told it was too late. Instead, Trent said, "No problem, come on down." From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly patient, kind, and attentive. My mom had a lot of questions, and even though they were clearly getting ready to close, he never rushed her and made sure she was completely comfortable and set up with her rental. The next day, she went back because she needed help adjusting the seat and steering wheel and had questions about how to use the radio and heater. Trent once again took the time to walk her through everything, answering all her questions with a smile and a genuinely great attitude. I work as a regional manager in the restaurant industry, so I pay close attention to service and hospitality. I was extremely impressed by the care, patience, and respect Trent showed my mom. Older customers often need a little extra time, and he handled it with grace and professionalism. This is what true customer service looks like. I have rented exclusively from Enterprise (Rancho Cordova) for years and have been very pleased. On Sept 10, 2025 I called the Citrus Heights store to reserve a compact for 1-3 days while my car was in the shop. I spoke with an accented man who kept putting me on lengthy holds and forgot twice to arrange for pick up at the auto repair shop. No one showed up at the appointed time to pick me up. I called to cancel the reservation and was told only Steve could cancel the reservation and he was on break and unavailable, Steve was supposed to pick me up. I was told that Steve would call me when he returned from break. Steve never called. When I again called to cancel my reservation, I got the same man I had been taking to all along, he claimed to be Steve. Steve informed me that even though they provided no service I would be charged $102.98. I was charged under protest! This branch/office of Enterprise deserves a visit from an "Undercover Boss". I've rented from this location multiple times. The staff is really helpful. Starting with the reservation; app is very easy to use, they don't make you pay upfront, they offer the location specific policies to read in advance, they are very clear on what you will need to bring (valid drivers license, in addition to cost of rental a $300 deposit, and if anyone other than your spouse is planning on driving their license as well) While no insurance is necessary or will you be required to show proof of, they do offer a few options (SLP, basic and a damage waiver) for those who would rather be prepared for the worst than save the $20-30. The $300 deposit is returned with 2-3 work days. I suppose the best thing to say about the service is for any issue that arrises they quickly work with you to find a solution, instead of being overly concerned with the who, how, why of the issue itself. They've never tried anything shady with the gas level, or try to push any other extras fees or those additional costs on. After discussing the rental and extra add-ons we go outside to the car, do a quick walk around the car with me, check mileage and gas level we sign the paperwork together and I'm off. From arrival to departure pickup time is under 5 minutes (with no other customers) and drop off is under 2 minutes. For those who like to hear specific examples..... **One time I was running 5 minutes late and I called at 5:58 to ask them to wait, and not only did they answer the phone 2 minutes from closing but where happy to oblige my request and give me the extra 5 minutes without any additional charge for being late or after hours. **On one other occasion I had made a reservation for 5pm pickup on a Monday, 3pm that Monday I realized I wasn't going to be able to be there before 6pm closing. I had thought I updated the reservation to 5pm Tuesday, whether that happened or didn't I don't know but was of no consequence because either way we got it figured out that next-day. Enterprise didn't charge me a late cancellation or anything like that and when I came in Tuesday to pick it up (10 minutes before closing) the employee had recalled my reservation for the day before and asked if I was returning. I had said no I needed the car today and mentioned that I thought I had updated the reservation she smiled and said "oh! I didn't see that!" let me finish with this one customer I'll be right with you. She didn't correct me or assert that she knew I hadn't, she was open to the possibility she missed it no matter how sure she was that she hadnt. I went onto the app, saw I in fact didn't have an active reservation, made a reservation for that day and 3 minutes later was able to let her know she was right, and 2 minutes after that was on my way. Can't speak for all enterprises everywhere but I can say with confidence this location is a bit of goodness, to help you out in a typically less than good situation. Noe helped me a lot with my car rental. I was stressed coming in and needed a car right away and he was calm and assured me that he would be able to help out. He was the manager and I could see him helping and teaching his employees how to help customers. He seemed very kind and hardworking. I was in and out very quickly. I rented a car from Enterprise. Unfortunately, they sold me insurance for the car without clarifying that I could use my own car insurance. As a result, I paid $1000 for extra insurance, and unfortunately, my insurance didn't accept the receipt. I will not return to Enterprise for car rentals. Do not use this company... after giving my business to this company for all of my work trips as a traveling therapist for over 10 years - I decided to utilize my accrued points on a rental that I never ended up using. I called to cancel the reservation however, the company never redeemed the unused points and completely blew me off when I tried to have the mistake clarified. My car was being serviced at the AAA shop next door and I waited at home for it to be ready. Unfortunately, it was not going to be ready that afternoon as originally thought and I needed a car to get to work and drive my daughter to school in the morning. I called Enterprise to reserve a car, was assured there was a car available and received a reservation confirmation. When I got there, less than 30 minutes later, the girl behind the counter told me there were no cars available and that they had tried to call me. I checked my phone - NO MISSED CALLS. Standing there, stranded, I asked if they had anything available, I didn't care what. I told them I just took an Uber to get here and I needed a car. With a smirk, she answered, "No, there's a waiting list and you're #4." then returned to whatever she was doing, leaving me to try to keep from crying. Turning around to leave, I heard "Sorry!" in a happy, sing song tone that clearly said she could not care less. I had to turn around and take another Uber back home. Customer service isn't just about being pleasant and laughing or lying to your customers to cover up mistakes It's also about problem solving, and at the very least...empathy. If it weren't for the horrible customer service I would not be leaving a review. I would still be silently upset, but I wouldn't take the time to write a review. read more

This is the worst experience that my wife and I ever had, we wanted to rent a car which is the newest model of the Nissan Rouge for our vacation. The day and time we went to pick it up they told us to wait another 30 minutes to get it ready and 30 minutes later they called us and said the car had a nail on the tire, so they told us to wait another 30 - 40 mins for them to get a different car(which is whatever at this point because we were late). As soon as we arrived we looked at the car and the interior looked dirty, we even looked up the brand of the car and it turns out it run's horrible on gas and as soon as we tried to pay for the rental, out of nowhere the employee said there is going to be a $300 deposit which is ridiculous, because when we rescheduled a reservation online and got approved we never got a heads-up or received an email that there was gonna be a $300 deposit couple days prior. The employee did a horrible job explaining and justifying why it cost so much. Basically we're not getting the car that we wanted. they made us wait for about 2 hours. They wanted to give us a car that runs horrible on gas with a dirty interior and now they wanted us to pay an extra $300 deposit plus the rental payment which in total it would've been over $500? read more

Very good. Customer service was excellent. We ordered our car online. Easy. It said we were getting a red Elantra but we got a silver Chevy Malibu. I was going to accept their kind offer of having the car delivered to me but it took too long so I got an uber and picked it up. They had curbside contact-less pick up but I just went in. Full on covid compliance. Car was fine . I'm not a big fan of the Malibu. It's hard to see out the windows if you are over 5'2". We had to keep it for an extra week. All in all, very good. I been booking cars here for over 2 years and literally have spend over 6-7 thousand dollars in that time with this company at this location I rent cars 20-30 weeks out the year for business and pleasure and so do my customers...and I had scheduled booking for tomorrow first thing in the morning and since I am on a very tight schedule to pick up my son from the airport out of the city I decided to call in to make sure they'd be ready for me and have my car ready to go once I arrived in the morning to make their job easier and my rental experience was easy because I like to get in and out fast so they can help the customers that need extra assistance and then I was notified by (Samantha) that they don't have my car class available in the morning and that my reservation has been flagged because of the amount of rentals I get from them (money I spend with them) and she told me to call corporate just to notify them but it's after 5pm and they are closed . So I decided to swing by their office and see what's going and pick up my hat I had left in my last rental while I'm there...I asked how come she didn't call me or notify of the issue Especially her knowing who I am Personally and the managers know me by name it would have been nice to be prepared knowing my rental won't be ready in the am especially being on this tight schedule and she simply said "I didn't check it" well that's great customer service I thought and then to add to the issues they give me my hat back with literally mud stains on it and they tell me that's how I left it in the car and which is completely untrue and when I asked to speak to the guy that cleaned my car out she told me to leave "her store" I was a customer here before she was ever employed there and I was in shock on how they treated a loyal customer who has given nothing but positive reviews with every rental. The counter staff were very friendly and quick. But, I was met with a few surprises: firstly, the $200 hold on my card (I think bc I used debit). There was no disclosure for this so I was quite surprised. Secondly, the car was dirty on the exterior and unvaccumed. They asked nonchalantly if I wanted it washed and I said no. No need to waste water, but I was more concerned about their initial presentation of the car. It just seemed like they had just gotten it back from the previous renter and they left it the way it was. Lastly, I had to leave my car there, and they had a dirt hill to park it on. It was just concerning given the area (off sunrise near 80). Driving onto the and off of the dirt hill, you had to go up a short, steep embankment. Not a great experience overall. Not sure I'll use Expedia to book again. read more

Trying to change my reservation from minivan to premium SUV. Called multiple tomes to keep trying to see of they have one available. I spoke with a lady and said try to see if my cousin who had the corporate discount can modify the reservation and if not to just call back and they can try to help. My cousin is not so tech savvy so I called back. And the guy who took my call straight up told me he cant help me. And then he put me on hold to get a manager. Was on hold for a Looooong time and then hang up on me. I called back and was told they are busy so they cant help me right now. Very poor customer service. Rented a car from here for the day with a scheduled return to another location. I elected to prepay gas and was told twice that I'd only pay for the gas that was used. When I returned the car I was charged for a full tank of gas. The car didn't have a full tank to begin with. When I questioned it, I was told that I'd have to call the pick-up location. When I did I was told rudely that they'd make the adjustment but "just this one time." Nice try trying to rip me off thinking I wouldn't question it. BTW I only used 7 gallons of gas. I rent cars regularly for work and was excited to find this location closer to home. This will probably be the first and last time I rent from this location. read more

Enterprise would not recognize my collision coverage selected and paid for through Expedia with my reservation. The additional money added for their collision coverage, along with an additional $300 hold on the credit card would have put my card over by $32. Agent/Manager Braylon and additional agent with very rude responses and attitude would only spit out "NO" when trying to resolve the situation. No to paying with more than one card, no to paying cash, no to running the card again (for another 24 hours) after making an additional payment to allow for the additional charges, just "no." No discretion was used when addressing me in front of several other customers , who felt so bad they were helping trying to come up with solutions when Braylon and the other agent would not. Agent other than the manager was extremely unprofessional with curt loud responses and dressed inappropriately with a short dress that flew up exposing everything when she stepped outside. The location is dangerous on an extremely steep hill where it is hard to keep footing to pick up the vehicle in front. Indoor area was crowded. A horrible experience to kick off my vacation. I won't rent from Enterprise again. read more

First off, Amanda offered amazing customer service. I came in early looking for a specific model and was placed on a waitlist because they didn't have it. 3 hours later I got the call saying it was in. I came in and Amanda immediately greeteed me and started the process quick and easy. I had already checked the prices online beforehand just in case they offered me a different one in person but thankfully it was the same. I directly asked her for my final price before i signed the contract and she calculated everything and assured me that would by it. Car was awesome, clean with minor scratches. Wanted to test drive this specific one because I'm interested in purchasing one. Now I have decided I want to buy this model. Thanks Enterprise, who know? Maybe I'll even buy it from them. My only concern is that I was told gas price was $2.something-ish and that it would be cheaper to just let the fill it up. It sounded to good to be true and saw on my receipt that the gas price was actually $3.99. So to play it safe I filled up the tank right around the corner before I returned it. Perhaps anyone renting soon should ask about this, I know next time I will. Return was just as quick and easy. read more

Until this past rental I loved them. No issues whatsoever. 5 stars. Last weekend, however, I rented a car for 3 days, as I usually do, and was quoted approximately $85. A bit high, considering the last time was around $40, but whatever (I think that time was a special rate). Just looked at my credit card statement online and it says $174. For THREE days. I can't get through to them right now (which is also unusual) and can't be on hold for 20 more minutes since I have to work, but this is ridiculous. To be quoted one price and then be charged nearly twice that when I've got an excellent track record with Enterprise is very disheartening. Gonna keep trying to get through, but after work, when I have the time to be on hold. I wonder what happened? read more

It only took moments for rep to come help me out with my rental, curious, and quick. She also helped me when I had to extend my rental over the phone. Made everything quick and easy for me. I rented a car for several months from this business. They over-charged me by more than $2,000. They acknowledged the over-charge in writing, and said they'd refund the money to me. But, they never did. Instead, the branch manager cooked up one excuse after another. I'm filing a lawsuit against this business.
