Horrible, horrible, company. This is the second time that tried to rent from this company. The first time I made a reservation, I got there and they had no cars. I had to go across town and rent from another company. Today I book a reservation. I called them several times to make sure they had cars. They did not answer the phone any of the times I called. When I got there they said they had to run a credit check on me. Although I have good enough credit to buy a house, I did not have good enough credit so they said, I could not pay with a debit card. I had to use a credit card. I was not happy about this since I took an Uber to get there. The lady was so rude and condescending. The guy was worse. . I have been renting a truck from Enterprise for over 5 months. Because we are working in the Clearwater area, I am forced to deal with this location. It is the worst managed location that I have ever visited. The manager sara henk is rude to the customers, she is rude to the employees. She has horrendous turnover because of her lack of management skills. We rent on a 7 day basis, in order to receive our free day 6 & 7, she wanted us to re-write after 3 days, which would negate our discount, we said no, charge our card on file, and we will be in Monday, to start a new 7 day cycle. I put this all in an email, she failed to reply to the email, and without notice, used the GPS for the vehicle, and came and towed it. We were not behind in payments, and had not received notice of intent to tow. She has all of our company belongings in the vehicle. We have reached out to Shelly Roither, Chief Human Resources Officer, Chrissy Taylor, President and CEO, and Andrew Taylor, Executive Chairman. We will keep this complaint updated weekly. I needed to make a reservation for a comprehensive claim my insurance company recommended enterprise. Absolutely horrible customer service when called the reservations center the agent could not pull up a reservation number or help in any way I was on.the call for 46 minutes not acceptable at all I have used them in the past but customer service reps are very poorly trained tried with 3 reps Don't waste your time calling the call center. Had some car trouble while visiting in Florida. While we waited for tow truck, Enterprise of Clearwater Beach sent a minivan to pick us up. Had a rental waiting for us, and we were back on the road in under 30 minutes. Kept the car for 3 days, dropped it by the hotel in St Pete, and Enterprise brought us back to our hotel. What can I not say good about this location?! Outstanding Top Notch Customer Service!!! I decided while passing this location on my way to park my tour bus in Clearwater Beach that I'd be better off renting a car instead of taking an Uber to visit with friends in Tampa. Enterprise Rent A Car on Court Street in Clearwater Florida has really taken customer service to a new level. Even with a lobby full of customers every employee was smiling and thus had all of us not minding the wait at all. When we got there the staff was very polite and courteous. The following morning Ben our contact called to make sure we were happy with the vehicle. We rent a lot of cars to take long road trips. From the Wesley Chapel location great service free upgrades, true customer service. Moved to Clearwater rented from Clearwater location and had nothing but problems. My boyfriend had a car in the shop and had to extend the time. Got double charged... blah blah. Just spent 40 minutes trying to get the bill correct. They wanted almost $800 for a truck for 10 days. We wanted a car but truck is what they had... never coming back to this branch. We will drive back out to Wesley chapel. read more

We were given an upgrade per choice of Tanya and Manager, Dawn.These ladies have us measured; C-U-S-T-O-M-ER S-E-R-V-I-C-E P-L-E-A-S-E. Just smiles and easy to understand language. We like that. Onward my wife and I drove. "Good Old American" style integrity. No problem, hassle-free. We know where we can still get great value. By the way, I had not driven in two (2) years. Called and was told they were open until 7. Strike one - actually, it's six clerk asked me if I was using a credit or a debit card. I said "credit". Clerk asks "does it says debit or check card on it? I say 'No, it's a credit card" Moron says "well, sometimes they are check cards so we have to ask" Strike two - you never have to ask a stupid question, you did this because you thought I was too stupid to know if I had a credit card or not. Got there to rent the car, found out they closed at six and was advised that I could simply return my car the following day if they were closed when I arrived and , yes, they would charge me for another day. strike 3- you're the one without a key drop. Moron told me I could drop it off at the airport and, no, they would not give me a ride back to Clearwater. There are signs all over the office that say they will pick you up and drop you off. This clearly applies only if it convenient for them, you can figure out another way, I stopped counting the strikes because they only had one player and clearly he was out. The clerk also informed me that the Missouri Ave and Court St area IS downtown Clearwater! I wonder what all the businesses down town think about that. Won't go there again, ever. read more

Enterprise as a whole is generally a good bet for rental cars, however, this location is the reason Yelp should have a zero star option. Location manager is a complete idiot. Had a reservation for about 6 weeks, but the day we were to pickup they called and told us the car seat was reclined and would not come up and "was that acceptable" to us. Since you can't drive laying down, we said no. Manager offered to rent us a car to drive to another location (?? -- really, how ass-dumb is that) to get a car. Refused to get another car brought to this location for us. Further, since we would be getting the car from another location we would need a new reservation, and that last minute reservation was going to be over $2000 total. I travel for a living and use Enterprise quite often, but this one manager at this one horrible location has convinced me it's better to go with the other known more reliable brands for a few dollars more. read more

After a horrible experience with Hertz ,whom we have been customers for years, we rented a vehicle from Enterprise. Enterprise did not have the mid size SUV we rented one day in advance when we arrived so they upgraded us to an Acadia and called us the next day to confirm we were happy with the service and vehicle. Unlike Hertz who did not have a mid size SUV available that we reserved weeks ahead of time and when we arrived after traveling from Massachusetts and making us wait 30 minutes tried to upgrade us to a minivan. We were told they had no other vehicles available! We had to call a taxi for transportation and to date have not received a call for Hertz! read more

So I am a club member with national who is affiliated with enterprise. This review is strictly on this office and nothing to do with national or enterprise. I was excited to see a location only three miles from my house. I usually go to one on US19 which is five miles away but lots of lights and traffic. However I will never return to this facility. Location. Due to "security concerns" you can only return the car during normal hours. So no drop box. Received the car with a 1/4 tank full so right from the start I had to fill it up. Sorry but there is no way you can return this on a 1/4 tank. Waste of time for the customer. I returned it half full. No money back but they will profit when the next person does not return it half full. There is no reason they cannot fill it up. They state because they do not have a station onsite like the airports. I am writing this from New Orleans airport and they also do not have a station on site but have the car filled. My biggest gripe is the lady that took care of me. When I walked in no acknowledgement of we will be with you or a hello. There was one customer in front of me and it seemed like there was more chatting than anything being accomplished. When it was my turn she still did not say hello but took a call. I put my id etc so she could hopefully check me in while talking. She ended that conversation then picked up a second call! Much more to add about her but not worth sore typing fingers. Enterprise on 19 is so customer oriented and when you return the car they make sure you are 100% satisfied. This location I never was even greeted. I will go back to enterprise on 19 although not convenient and start to explore the hertz locations that are closer. read more

This was the second time I attempted to rent with Enterprise... I will NEVER use them EVER AGAIN! They are HORRIBLE in Customer Service... they have shafted me twice now attempting to rent a car. First time I attempted to rent, I was picking up the car at the airport in Tampa because the rates appear to be more reasonable which I attributed to being a larger selection of vehicles, etc. I reserve my car online, go to the airport the next day... agent asked me for my flight itinerary. Funny, web site never mentioned that I couldn't rent a car without "flying into" my local airport. They basically told me to go pound sand... no car, ZERO, zilch... and I ended up using Hertz (at the same airport) without issue. Thanks Enterprise! Second time I attempted to rent, I reserved it online to pick up the next day and travel towards Punta Gorda. I call the clowns at this particular location to double check to make sure everything is going to be okay because after all... this is Enterprise. I tell the guy I have a debit card, he says "I will need two major utility bills". I tell him, I don't have them, landlord takes care of all that. He said, "No sense in us sending someone to pick you up, you are not getting a car today!" I thought that was rather sarcastic and scummy so in a calm voice I said, "Well, funny the web site didn't mention having to provide underwear samples to rent a car... that's awesome, this is the second time Enterprise has f#@%ed me over..." Did he offer to route me to customer service??? Of course not!!! Just hangs up the phone like the little pimply face teenager he probably is... NEVER and I mean NEVER will I trust these losers with a car rental. I hope they fold soon so nobody else ever has to put up with their horrid customer service. LOSERS!!!! read more

Tried to rent a car with Enterprise in Clearwater Fl. After having the phone ring for 50 times I was rewarded by being on hold for 15 min. I then had the pleasure of speaking to someone who had a very strong accent. That wasn't as bad but added to the difficulty he was in a boiler room atmosphere where all I could was loud talking in the background. Every question or request needed to be repeated 3 times. The overall task was terrible. The next time I need a car it will not be Enterprise. I'll order a car on line so I do not need to speak to anyone. read more

The minivan I had booked had not been returned when I arrive for pickup, but he found a way to get me into a suitable vehicle and get my grandkids and I on the way to the circus in time. Had a last minute change of plans with family on our vacation and needed an additional car. I booked online at night to pick up the next day. When I arrived at the location, they were quick and efficient and I got a nice Hyundai Sonata that easily fit the 4 of us plus all of our carry-ons and personal items. The Enterprise Rent-A-Car website advertises a special weekend rate for $9.99 per day, Fri-Mon. No such deal exists. Real price is 40.00+ per day. Phone contacts offered various explanations: "This is Daytona week", "we ran out of cars", "the weekend rate is a national promotion but doesn't apply to Florida or Arizona," etc. My understanding was, like it or not, Arizona and Florida are still part of the Nation. If Enterprise can figure out how to place this weekend promotion on their website they should be able to list any exclusions as well. Very much bush-league. read more
