Returned our rental this morning. Only one agent working. Poor customer service. We received an email for 15% off if more than 3 days. We asked as we kept the car for 8. The agent refused, said we needed to apply code when renting. Out car was in the shop, so we weren't sure how long we needed it. She said the best she could do was 5%, which we already get as preferred. Agent could have had better time, attitude and response. Picked up a car Friday that has undeniable bodily fluids in it. I spoke to 2 different customer service reps via online chat. One said someone would call in 24hrs (no one has) another told me to drive to the Tyrone location and swap it out( I left work early to find a sign that said closed for the day). I then drove to another location and they seemed to not really care. I then called a number I found online filing another complaint, but here I am still driving around in a car that literally has someone's hazardous waste in it. read more

I arrived at 9:30am on a Monday morning there were 3 employees running around trying to service everyone. I was told that there were 4 people ahead of me and they had to clean the vehicles so it would be 20min. I do appreciate the heads up but now it's 10:13am and the waiting room has been filled to 11 people with 3 others who have already left and been helped. Those same 3 employees are running around trying to service everyone including cleaning the returned vehicles. I believe management needs to come in and do some hiring and reorganization if they want to uphold their motto "putting you first is our first priority". This placard is false advertising at the moment. Hopefully management can fix this. read more

Terrible experience for pickup. Van was great and good price. Monday March 25. We reserved for 10:30 arrived about 9:45am, to 3 folks waiting on a car, and 2 groups in line ahead of us. One counter person. After a couple of more registrations 5 people were complaining that they still didn't have their cars. He stated that he would register everyone then take everyone to their cars and everyone already registered started an uproar, so he took a 2 folks out to cars and then let the others know their cars were not ready! During this time about 3-4 employees arrived to work, but took to other duties on phones, etc. NONE worked the counter. By that time there were now about 3 more people in line behind us. Finally we were registered about 11am and had to wait for our van as it was being cleaned. We finally got the van about 11:30. Terrible service. We probably will not use Enterprise again. read more

Absolutely wonderful experience at the Enterprise on US19 in Clearwater. The guy there was phenomenal. Very professional and the best customer service skill set I have ever seen. I really mean that. In the world where it seems no one cares about customers; this guy was great. I would highly recommend no questions asked. Whatever he is getting paid, it's not enough. I don't "steal" employees, but I'll tell you what, I thought about offering him a job at my business. He is great. Enterprise is lucky to have him. read more

I'm an unfortunate victim of the hurricanes at in limbo. Lost pretty much everything and trying to rebuild. I lost my vehicle and I am staying with friends. I need a vehicle so I booked a reservation with Enterprise. I thought everything was settled until I arrived to pick up my vehicle. I was told my address came up with a gray dot. Enterprise jargon. Since I did not have gas or electric bills, they would not accept my debit card. I do not keep credit cards. THEY WOULD NOT BEND. I wound up having to call an Uber and went home with my tail between my legs. It was a very humiliating experience. I have an account with Enterprise and that still meant nothing. After these past few months with all that has happened in Florida, there should be some kind of leniency if you live here. People are still in crisis mode trying to recover. I will never rent a car with Enterprise in the future. The customer service is lousy. read more

We're living in Covid Times. Bad experience today. Last time I rented here for a week was Feb 2020, it was good. Today was bad. I made reservation using my $5 off Veteran Discount. Extremely disappointed by the lack of care towards customer health, especially with the threat of the coronavirus right now. My experience has been unpleasant. I got a car through enterprise because of an insurance claim. I got their to get a car and asked for full coverage for if anything happens to me or the car. I asked the guy if the insurance will cover this charge he said yes. So as I'm signing the waivers for the car he asked for money for a $50deposit. I asked I this was the only charge I would have and he said yes. 1 hour later I got a charge for $176 from enterprise. I call right away and speak with the same employee and asked hey I got this charge. He said I was unaware the insurance does not cover insurance on rental vehicles. He apologized and assured me that I will return your money within 24 hrs and you will still have the coverage. We'll it's been 48 hrs andmy money is still not returned to me . I called again and spoke to the manager he insisted in talking over me and told me I will return your money back in 2-3 business days and you WILL NOT have coverage. We'll now it's Saturday and I have to wait even longer for my money to return to my account. I have incurred damages from not having this money in my account which they took without my knowledge. Anyone have any ideas what I should do? read more

The staff at this Enterprise is always very helpful and courteous. I've developed a great relationship with Jovan there--he always takes care of me whenever I'm travelling for work (which is often). I'd recommend this location to anyone. read more

All the crappy cars no one else want go here and they will reserve you a car you THINK you will get then try to push you in some junk. Travis is the worst customer service agent. I have rented from Enterprise in the past however the last few times I did, it was from the Sunset & US 19 location. The staff there take the word professional to another level. Javon, the branch manager and his staff are professional, friendly, always greet you with a smile and most importantly, they deal with you first. They are always striving to be better than what they already are by asking what can they do to be better next time and it's not a robotic question, they REALLY want to know. I have been to other rental places and other Enterprise locations and they all could learn something from the staff at this location. They forever have my rental business and reccomendation to others. Keep up the great work Javon, you definitely have your hand on the pulse of great customer service!!! read more

Set an appointment. 1hr past the appointment time and no pick up! I call to ask where they are and am told someone will be on the way shortly.... Don't set appointments if you can't honor them!! All around my experiences with Enterprise are always non-problematic. During my most recent rental, first at this location, the same was true, non-problematic. The difference that moved me to write the first review of my life, anywhere, were that problems kept popping up on my end but they were understanding and worked with me every step of the way. This location gave me a hard time when I went to pick up my rental car. The previous week I scheduled repairs on my car through my insurance company. They suggested a collision place in Clearwater and they gave me the number for Enterprise. I called and asked for a compact car. I told them my collision work was scheduled on 12/3/2019 ( about a week later). I called Enterprise again on 12/2 to make sure I was getting a compact car. I was told that would not be a problem. When the enterprise employee brought me to this office I was told I was being given a Jeep. I refused that vehicle and said I wanted one of the smaller cars. I was told they were reserved! When I said reserve one for me for the next day, they said they can't do that. I asked them to call another Enterprise. Next I was told all they had was a Nissan Altima. I asked if I could switch that car at another Enterprise and was told that I could. Suddenly, they told me they would give me a Nissan Sentra they had. I left in the dirty Sentra but thought to myself I will never use Enterprise again. After using the car for two days, I returned it to the collision business as I was told. This place is why one star reviews exist, I'll just layout the facts for this one and you can all make up your own mind: I am a national (affiliated with enterprise) emerald club member. Essentially myself and fellow employees rent from these two companies frequently. This location was aware of said membership. My reservation was made almost a week prior to. However upon arrival I had to wait 45 minutes for my car to come back from a shop ( first story was routine maintenance) When the car arrived it was an older model Jetta. Didn't even have basics like auto lights which are extremely convenient in Florida because of pop up storms. Entered the car and the low tire pressure indicator was on. Employee walked around the car and by VISUAL inspection deemed tires were fine. At this point I was told the car was in the shop due to damage and they must not have RESET the tire pressure indicator. I was essentially told to accept this as there are no other cars available. Why could they not check the tire pressure to see if it was a problem? Also what if there was a tire pressure problem but since the alarm was already on I would never know. Leaving the parking lot I quickly realized there was also a transmission issue. Due to their location it was closer to drive it home. I tried to call but no one answered for the thirty minutes I tried. I drove the bucking car back and luckily someone was just returning a newer Impala. While trying to explain the situation when it was my turn a different employee at this point decided it was better to take three phone calls instead of listening to what the problem might be. There is so much more but I'll run out of room. During my two hours of trying to get a workable car I noticed several other customers coming in that had reservations that were either turned away until the next day or told it will be 30-1 hour before they could get them something. This by far is the worst car rental location of all times and I've been to well over 100. I know enterprise will try to save face and comment below. So let me save you time enterprise. I am not looking for anything and because you will ask the rental number was 421882 ref#4zpxsk rented on 7-11-16. Horrible experience!!! The Mgr. is a crook. Charged me for smoke smell in car, said he had to have it detailed. $50 bucks. I did not smoke in the car and I had it detailed before I took it back. Apparently they charge everyone this $50 charge and there really isn't much you can do about it because they have your deposit.the Mgr also had the personality of a CLAM!!! I will never rent a car or refer enterprise to anybody!!! I will protest this to their corp. office. I know that this is a common practice with most of these rental places because they can get away with it. Hope myYelp will make you think twice about going to this particular location. This location is very convenient to my home and I love that aspect so I use Enterprise exclusively. I am usually beyond pleased with the staff and vehicle. This particular time though, in spite of all the professionalism of the staff and convenience, I have to say that the vehicle was a disappointment. For a road trip to Miami, it would have been a bonus if the cruise control was working. It was not. The vehicle, which was reported to be a 2017 with 13K miles on it, sputtered on acceleration in transistioning from low speeds to highway speeds, and made sounds I liken to a diesl vehicle. I have rented Dodge mini-vans before, and this was not the case. Before I take a vehicle again, I feel I might have to "test drive" it. read more

Needed a car last minute. Walked a few minutes to this location from a car dealership. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful, especially the dude that helped me out(forgot his name, sorry) and the kid that drove me to the tarpon location. When I dropped the car off just now, a half hour before they opened, an older guy who looked like a car driver/cleaner yells at me(in like a stereotypical New York accent) "WE'RE NOT OPEN TIL 9" as I get out of the car(I know this). I ask him, "Is it ok if I leave the key in the drop box?" (I know it is, but ask anyway). He replies, "DONT MATTER TO ME." I wish I could give this business 6 stars! Due to an emergency, I called Clearwater Enterprise 30 seconds after they opened. Their assistant branch manager picked me up himself(!) 15 minutes later, and I was out the door 15 minutes after that with a great vehicle. The process was easy and fast at a time when I needed easy and fast. And their rates were very reasonable. Add to all this that the employees were cheerful with each other, friendly, and altogether pleasant to be around. When I returned the car the next day, I needed a driver to bring me home. He seemed to genuinely enjoy working at Enterprise and we had a great conversation. How wonderful to interact with cheerful people who enjoy their workplace, are as helpful as can be to their customers, and (pardon the pun) do go the extra mile! read more

This was my 3rd rental from enterprise at this location in the past two years. I very rarely give five stars to anythingn but this place has earned it! Every element of our rental was perfect, the staff helpful and pleasant, the facility clean well kept and spacious, the price reasonable, and everything was as described. As a final bonus, we left a personal item of my wife in the rental when returned. I called two days later and it was found in the managers office tucked in a safe place.
