Why can't I give negative stars here? This place makes for a truly abysmal experience. Just avoid it - In fact, avoid the company in general; there are other choices. Despite reserving the style vehicle I needed a week in advance, I went to pick-up and was given a downgraded (smaller vehicle) at the larger vehicle price point. Dan, who really is in over his skill set managing this location (chided me and hung up during our call) offered to give me a rental credit, lowering the price. While that, at first, sounds almost fair all that was really accomplished was that my bill is now about what it should be renting the smaller vehicle. If I was price conscious here, I would have just selected something smaller to begin with. Calls to Enterprise's customer "service" resulted in anything but resolution, including: 2 calls committing to my getting a phone call from the area manager (that did not materialize) 1 call that resulted in getting hung up on (guessing Indian call center with this one) Why I was not contacted in advance, and while I would have had time to make other arrangements, once the dream team at this location realized they would not have the vehicle I wanted is, truly, a question for the ages. I now am left in the situation of needing to leave at dawn tomorrow in a vehicle unfit for purpose and for which I overpaid. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. read more

The only thing good I can say is they actually had the van we reserved. The employee did not properly check the vehicle over before handing it over. Didn't note dings and scratches. It was only half full of gas. The worst issue wasn't discovered until we brought it home....the plates had expired in February. We rented it in May. When we called the employee responded "OH yeah, we have the new tags here, you can come get them but we close at 6pm. Horrible customer service! Not the norm for this company. Had a great experience with the 1 on Hall Rd last Thanksgiving. That staff was excellent! We will not rent from this Gratiot location again. read more

Customer Service is non existent at Enterprise. After a very bad rental on Saturday with expired license plates they did nothing to make up for the experience I had. The store manager William lied and said they would give me a refund. He said he would have his manager reach out. Neither of those things happened. They are a distrustful company,did not have an apology or customer service at any level. read more

LOCATION HAS VERY SMALL LIMITED INVENTORY! Do not reserve online and expect to get the vehicle you asked for. They have only basic model vehicles. Only reason I considered renting is because my car is in the shop and wanted to drive a Mustang because it's my favorite vehicle. Got there, they said they didn't have it or anything similar and that the website should have told me. It clearly did not, and I had to be dropped off at the location so I could not just leave and get nothing, I was stuck. Felt like a scam, especially when they drop an extra $300 deposit as you are finalizing paperwork. Does not say that either in plain text on their site, probably somewhere in the fine print you have to search for. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, Emmilia was the one who helped me I believe. Very polite and understanding, she was the only good part of the experience. read more

Enterprise was less than a mile from my home & I'd never noticed the business. My insurance company paid for the rental. I was extremely pleased with every step of the rental. I request a vehicle higher off the ground and it was waiting for me at no extra charge. I have rented cars from other companies in the past and there was always a little problem along the way. If your wife or girlfriend goes here to rent a car, get ready for her to possibly get asked out by one of their younger employees. I forget the guys name but he inappropriately texted my wife asking her out, even contacting her again after I informed him she was married. My reason for leaving this review is that I contacted and spoke to a manager, and never heard anything else about the situation. read more

Not only does this place have affordable rental cars but also went above and beyond for my daughter and I today. I dropped off the rental and they offered to drive me home. The experience was wonderful and it was much needed kindness. I highly recommend this enterprise! read more

Why should I pay taxes on a rental car.? When Dorian Ford had to repaint my hood..was not my fault. And enterprise told me the gas tank was full. And was not, but I did fill it up. Began with not answering the phone. Once arrived I was never asked if I was satisfied. The car had a cigarette smell that was attempted to be covered up by a horrible air freshener which gave me a headache. The girl said I had to wait for a ride and when I walked away her and a guest discussed my level of "Appreciation" openly while I was there. Just because I didn't say anything?? Not sure why they don't have more employees working on a weekend. I had to wait over a half hour for a ride. Not even a thank you for the extra gas. I won't be using this location again. read more

The location excels with customer service, but there are a few issues. The first time i rented with them was when i saw the $9.99 a day weekend special. Amazing, amazing deal. I rented a car from them for the weekend for a convention (I was running back and forth from the convention to home and my SUV gets horrible gas mileage) and was pretty stoked to be able to take advantage of this deal. On my lunch break i went to the gas station to top the car off and noticed the plates on the vehicle were expired. I called the location to inform them and the rep i spoke with earlier in the morning (Nick i believe) apologized and let me know i could come in later that day to get a new rental. I managed to get there right at 5:45PM before they closed and was able to switch out cars. He apologized again for the embarrassing mistake and waived the fuel refill for the new car (I provided the receipt for the fuel i put into the car prior to noticing the plates). I recently (March 29th, 2016) mad another reservation for a vehicle this weekend but received a call today by a representative stating that they did not have any available vehicles due to vehicles being worked on. Completely understandable as things happen, i just wish there was a way for the business to block out specific dates for renters if there are lower than usual amount of cars available. The rep was nice enough to switch my reservation to another location, but the convenience of this one is what drew me there (Less than 2 blocks from my home) Overall I'm impressed with the staff. I would go 3 stars if the issue with the reservation was the fault solely of the location, but i feel its more the website than the staff. I def. plan on using the service again. read more

I rented a car to drive out of town. I was not told that the car cigarette lighter socket did not work. I needed that to function for my cell phone charger. Because of this I had to buy a another charger that did not work as well as my previous charger. I was also not told that the car had a problem with the tire indicator; therefore I was in constant fear that I was going to have a flat. Because of this I put air in the tire several times. I called and told the enterprise workers about this and they were very u empathetic about this. This was only the beginning of my nightmare. When I returned the car "Nick" did the walk around twice and asked what happened on the passenger side, bewildered I asked what e was talking about and he bent over and showed me scratches in the very bottom of the fender. I stated that I didn't know that the was there/didn't know how it happened. "Nick" told me that I had to file a claim with my insurance which I did. Enterprise then held my $250 deposit. I understood that until my insurance stated that my deductible was waived. I informed Enterprise of this so that my deposit would be released. Enterprise stated that they needed to hear that directly from my insurance. My insurance called and gave the requested authorization. 12 days later I am still waiting for my deposit. This is sickening. read more

They have employees with lots of character. Often too much when a client is dealing with a stressful situation. I have rented a vehicle for six weeks (consecutively) and you'd think I could have and should have been offered at the VERY least the same rate if not a cheaper/discounted rate each week. I even took the vehicle for an oil change (charged to the Enterprise account) so I think I should get a little better service more like family than 'just another customer'. I mentioned that my first vehicle smelled like smoke and with me being a NON-smoker they weren't eager to swap out my vehicle. I went to another Enterprise location and they not only swapped me out they upgraded my vehicle. I'd rather deal with that location than this one but this one is most convenient for me. read more

The pits had a tire blow out on truck, tire store not open and can't get it fixed today I wanted to rent a car and now Enterprise isn't open in either locations by Clinton Township to rent a car for a day or two. This location was awful. Young people with poor people skills & no customer service. My insurance company had set up a reservation for me with a number and then when I called to go in to pick up the car the service went from poor to worst. First of all on the phone the gentleman "Nick" wouldn't answer a simple question when I asked if he was still located in Mt . Clemens, then he gave me the wrong information about which vehicle I was entitled to under my policy. He gave me a small SUV, when I'm paying for a large SUV rental under my insurance policy according to my insurance company. Once I got to Enterprise I got a young lady that refused to take my reservation number and asked too many irrelevant questions. Her first question was what happened to my car which was none of her business and then she asked for my address and I told her it was on the license and if she would look up my reservation by the number I tried to give her the questions she was asking me would not be necessary. She told me because she lived in the same township that I did she was just curious. I didn't know her, I don't tell strangers where I live so they can come to my house and harm me. So, she finally got the clue that I'm not "Chatty Cathy" and I just wanted to take care of business because she said "I'll stop asking questions" but after she took care of the paperwork just before showing me the car, she had the nerve to ask me if I had ever rented a car before and when I said yes then she asked me how long ago. My husband had to comment on her interrogative method. We have both rented cars dozens of times over the years for both personal and business use and had never ever been asked questions like this young lady was asking. Then to add insult to injury Enterprise, I guess Corporate office, called me about my insurance company not paying the charges for the rental 4 days earlier than the body shop told them my car would be fixed. If I have anything to do with it in the future I will not rent from this agency again. read more

I rented twice from them. Once was for a trip, the second time was out of necessity. I had a reservation the first visit and I found them to be helpful when explaining policies. They did a price match from another car rental place. I also ended up with a larger car. The second time was 2 weeks later, they remembered me and things went smoothly except... I needed a car for the weekend just to get back and forth to work. I requested the cheapest car they had since I wouldn't be driving that much. They had a poster on the wall for the $9.99 a day weekend special and I requested that. They told me they don't do that in the summer because of vacations, etc. Then take the poster down!!! I ended up paying a third of what I rented for a week, for a smaller car that I put less than 50 miles on for 3 days. That was a disappointment. The place is located close to home and the people were friendly, but I will check out other places next time I need a car. read more
