We knew we had a slim shot getting a car for a one-way drive to Phoenix, AZ, but they were so helpful and got us a car for a reasonable price. Otherwise, once you're on location... there is a great check in process! I just came in, showed my driver's license/ID, and directed to my rental. It was quick and efficient. Even returning the rental was just as easy, I just dropped off the cars and left the keys in the vehicle. Matt was awesome and took care of the check out very quickly! When I walked into the garage I saw a 2026 Rebel that didn't have the keys in it. I asked Maddy if I could rent the truck and she found out it was brand new to inventory. After a quick check of the vehicle she made sure I drove away happy in the truck. I've been renting cars across the county as daily drivers for months. CMH airport has the nicest vehicles and the staff has always made sure I had a cool ride. Also highly recommend the Grand Wagoner Obsidian 3 they have. It's got legit massage seats, amazing sound, and screens everywhere in the vehicle. Next I'm gonna try the C8 for a weekend. Go see Maddy and tell her the Rebel Guy sent you. It seems this location is struggling with staffing issues, as there was only one person managing the counters for National, Alamo, Enterprise, Dollar, and Thrifty, resulting in a long line. This is definitely not acceptable, but we had no other option since we needed a car for Saturday and Sunday, and no in-city rental locations were open on the weekend until 11:45 pm. Plus, there was no other drop-off location, so we had to come to the airport. The poor customer service was due to the long lines and lack of staff. I feel bad for the employee, as everyone was complaining, even though it's clearly not their fault that there's a staffing shortage. Also be careful when you are picking up the cars...there is many dents and scratches that they didn't have in the system and we were lucky to brought their attention. read more

Five star experience here! I was originally going to rent from Budget and had a Jeep reserved for a couple months. After looking at their reviews, I was freaked! I usually rent from Enterprise, but, they didn't offer a Jeep. Three days before my arrival, they had Jeeps! I reserved it quickly. I checked in before my flight, thus skipping the counter. I walked right out to the vehicles. A gal greeted me, glanced at the reservation confirmation on my iPhone and gestured to a bright yellow Wrangler 4Xe sitting right in front. She then quickly said if I didn't like the color, they had others. Heck no! Bright yellow was perfect for heading to my farm! Everything was in good condition and without any problems. I enjoyed the Jeep for a full week, over 1000 miles, both on road and off road (ok, more like on a dirt road). I liked the bright yellow color so much I even went online and looked to see if I could order one (I own a '22 Granite color Rubicon). I was truly sad when it came time to return it. My drop off experience was perfect. I was quickly checked in and there were no surprise charges. Great rental experience! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We got a flat in our rental at 6:10 pm. Thought we could change the tire and be on our way. Nope. No spare. Called roadside "assistance" which was no help at all because they said "call 911" and hung up on us. As we are stranded on an interstate. 3 adults and 3 teenagers. Called back told us they would get a tow truck but we would have to Uber home on our dime. Which is absolutely ridiculous. Tow truck said they would be there in 2 hours. Called back and was sent to roadside assistance again. Same thing - call 911 and then hung up. One of the other adults called and finally got someone somewhat helpful. Got us a tow truck that would come in 45 minutes. And an Uber to take one of us to the nearest airport to get a replacement. Tow guy dropped us and our luggage off at an unsafe truck stop. Person trying to get a replacement was told the process was typically about 6 hours. Got the run around there. Finally had to call someone hours away to come get us and our other person was going to take an Uber home. He finally got a replacement while we were on the way home. At our expense NOT Enterprises. And DO NOT reply with a customer service chat or phone number for us to call. We've done that and it's NOT helpful. read more

I rented a car from Budget from this location in August. Upon retrieving the car it already looked like it had guns shots to. I had the car for 2 DAYS. Returned it back to its location CLEAN WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS. Upon arrival I pulled up to an employee standing waiting on return vehicles. Once I parked where he told me I filled out the vehicle return form that was provided to me at the time of picking up the vehicle and placed it on the dash board, through out any trash I had, and retrieved my things. I asked the employee was there anything additional i needed to do before leaving the vehicle he stated NO and I was good to go. As I was exiting the parking deck my reservation was closed and my $250 holding fee for the vehicle was returned to my credit card on August 17th. Budget sent me a letter on August 25th stating I damaged the inside of their vehicle beyond USE (rentable) and is now charging me $450 for the repairs. I reached out to the stating this simply NOT TRUE and they went and obtained pictures from I dont where indicating I did those damages. Pictures are attached. I asked they provided video footage of the car and they said charges are VALID. I reached out BBB and they provided same evidence say I damaged the vehicle so I am coming to Google because they have now submitted the charge to my credit card company which I have disputed as fraudulent‼Beware of this company and its employees‼ I dis nothing to this vehicle but drive it, return it clean in it's original state with a full tank of gas. I rented a car an month ago from the Lazelle Road location. At the time of rental I was asked if I wanted to pay $47+ to cover gas I might use. I refused, saying I would fill the car up to its initial amount upon returning. I knew my repairs would only take a few days so I wouldn't need that much gas. About 2 weeks after I returned the car I noticed that I had a $47+ charge on the credit card I had given them at the time of rental. I called, and was nicely told that the refund would be initiated, and I should have it in a few days. A week later I called back and was told that the refund request was "in accounting awaiting approval." ONE MORE week later I called back again when I had still received no refund. I talked with Jake, who told me that the refund was never on hold in accounting and that they had already processed it. He said if I hadn't yet received the refund it was my bank's error, and that I should contact them. After hanging up on him, I contacted my bank who said they had no record of the refund going through. I'm tired of fighting with Enterprise. I'm out almost $50, and will never use Enterprise again. read more

Usually don't leave reviews, but this enterprise is the worst. some back story, I went with my friends to a music festival in September of 2019. I used to always rent from enterprise. They always gave me good deals since I was in the military, and the customer service was always great. When I went to pick up my car from this airport I found that it was a really old car that liked to lean to the left while driving, which was a little weird, but I didn't mind it that much since it got me from point a to b. The real problem I had was when I went to drop off the vehicle, I turned it in to the company and went to get on my flight, found out my girlfriend (now wife) left some of her personal belongings in the cat (nintendo switch, some books etc.) I called the store and they informed me that they can send it to us through the mail. After we landed back in California, I gave them a call again to see if I could get a tracking number for the package, they informed me that they didn't know what I was talking about and they didn't have any record of her things being in the car. After some back and forth with the store, I finally gave up and accepted the fact that her stuff was gone and that there was nothing I could do about it. Fast forward 3-4 months, an even bigger issue appeared. I tried to rent a car from another Enterprise and come to find out that this Enterprise put me on a black list due to "someone else had turned in my car" which came to a shoke to me. I called and emailed the Enterprise management team for a couple of months, but all I got back was that they were investigating the matter. It's been 3 years since this happened, no updates from the investagatiin, and I don't plan on ever using enterprise ever again because of this incident. read more

Smooth rental with no issues. Even the person working the desk will tell you to book online and never in person to get the best deal. The only annoying thing is the new rental center means you have to take a shuttle. The shuttle does have a ramp that flips out so you can roll on a stroller or wheelchair though, so things were pretty smooth. Workers help you put your luggage on and off the shuttle too and they were kind. read more

I had the worst experience at this location. While I understand there are protocols and rules to renting a car, I was treated as though I was trying to commit fraud. I only found this out after 1.5hrs of waiting and getting the runaround. My husband was told this as an excuse of why the process was such a hassle. The manager was unprofessional and did nothing to try to help me. Isn't that the point of being a manager? To be able to override process for extenuating circumstances? Back story: I had a rental for two days from a different location due to a fender bender while my car is in the shop. We took my son and two friends to Jurassic Quest at the Historic Crew Stadium and 5min into it, the 2020 rental engine overheated. We couldn't leave the drive through so we just slowly drove until we could exit. The entire time I was on the phone with Enterprise's roadside assistance (whom were amazing!) We finally got to a safe parking lot where we would meet the tow truck. Unfortunately it was going to take the tow truck 3 hours and there was no way I was waiting with 3 young children (6,4,3yo) in a hot parking lot with no AC. So thankfully the (again wonderful) roadside assistance sent an UBER to take us to this airport location. Upon arrival, the manager heard my request to pickup but didn't even look at his computer to check for the email for the release of a car. He just automatically said "Until we know the first rental is at one of our lots, we can't release a car to you." (Now I know he thought I was committing fraud and was just blowing me off.) so I called Enterprise's Roadside Assistance again for the 4-5th time. The woman ensured me they sent a request and I eventually found the manager again (after going up to the second floor with 3 children in tow and then back downstairs) to have him talk to roadside. They spoke and she cleared the fact that the tow truck was going to take a few more hours (all the while, the 3 children are thankfully entertaining themselves but I was obviously stressed by all of this). All I wanted was the car so that I could get the kids home. Yet even though corporate/roadside cleared us to get a new car, the manager STILL was giving us the runaround. Thankfully, my in laws came to the rescue and took the children and myself home. My husband stayed to handle the rental. He is a very patient, kind man but by the time we had left, he was ticked. After continuing to get the runaround and told "we have to be careful of fraud," he finally said firmly how ridiculous that was and that they should drive all the way to 17th Ave to see the broken down piece of junk that got us in this situation in the first place. Finally, he was given the tiniest car possible and he was on his way home. What started out as an amazing Friday night of fun for the children, it ended up being one of the most stressful, unbelievable nights of my life. All because we were being suspected of fraud. With 2 pieces of luggage I was going up and down the terminal looking for my car. Finally somebody informed me to go to National/Alamo place where will be my car...horrible experience continues with the attendant! I'm an older gentleman and he has no patience with me! Update: I followed Chris M's instructions. Seven days later and we haven't heard a word. Responding to reviews makes the company seem caring, but it's just for show. We were hit by one of your rental trucks and after contacting countless departments at your company, no one would take an incident report. I was specifically told by multiple employees to never use the words, "claim or report" or no one in your company would touch it. The person at our local branch openly mocked me because he knows he can get away with it. One person told me you have GPS tracking on all vehicles and he just laughed out loud when I suggested that you might. The local branch rep said, he definitely wasn't going to help me. When I asked about GPS he laughed hysterically and stated, "Go ahead. Call corporate, call claims, call anyone you want. Good luck with that! You track that down! Hahaha! No one is ever going to help you! Hahahaha!" Then, he hung up on me. This is the one person everyone at your company said I had to get a case number from or no one would be able to help me. No one in multiple divisions would start a case so you attempt to look for the person who returns a damaged truck. I understand it's a long shot, but it's what the police told us to do after filing the police report. I was repeatedly told you have 10000 trucks on the road and you have no clue where they are. I find that hard to believe. It's clear that you have no system in place for non-customers who want assistance to report a hit-and-run renter. You rent trucks to companies for 2-3 years so they can hit people, cause property damage, and flee the scene of an accident and you will protect them, the criminal! No wonder your renter told us to "f*Ck off" and sped away. After two days of calling and countless Enterprise employees, they basically told us the same thing--to f*Ck off! read more

As a regular user of rental cars, I'd argue that Entreprise is the best rental company out there. I've probably rented from Entreprise at this location at least 6 times. Not once did the service disappoint. Not once was my car worse than advertised. I've even used their "we pick" options three times. Twice I received a V6 pick-up truck (Nissan Frontier & Toyota Tacoma) for the price of a compact car. And the other time? A turbocharged I-4 Camaro. My father is suffering from cancer, and since I was passing by I went inside the 1733 W. 5th Ave, Columbus OH location to to make a reservation so that I can drive down later this summer. I am aware that there is a shortage as I have looked into renting for various dates over the summer. I was expecting more vehicle availability the further out I make the reservations for various trips to visit my ailing father. The GM (Jacob S) told me that all large SUV were reserved for the WHOLE summer, but offered a smaller SUV. I have a large group of people that need to travel so, after some more conversation he said that all of June and July weekends were reserved for a corporate account affiliated with OSU. I agreed to make a reservation for a smaller SUV for Father's Day, but frustratingly questioned why he would say the WHOLE summer, when in reality summer doesn't end till September the GM became defensive and refused to make a reservation for me at all regardless of size of vehicle. When I asked for the contact info for the Regional or District Manager Jacob only offered me his name, and refused an email address or phone number. I've been renting from Enterprise for over 10 years off and on and have never experience anyone so unprofessional and rude. I called customer service and placed a formal complaint, but I have yet to hear back from anyone. So sad. Needless to say, my family and I will take our business elsewhere. read more

Columbus Airport rented me a car with no driver side windshield wiper (completely missing) and with a passenger windshield wiper that had jumped off the actuator. If the car had been properly checked over, it would have been an easy decision to not rent the vehicle. Amazingly enough the Company that supposed to "pick you up" is not able to find someone to swap my car and then your customer service makes this MY problem by telling me to call back tomorrow after 7am so I can start the 3-5 hour (their estimate) process to exchange the car. I explained multiple times that doing an exchange wasn't possible, as I needed to be onsite at a customer at 8am and will be moving between multiple locations during the day. Dealing with your ridiculously poor customer service and road side assistance makes an outing at the DMV, a visit to your dentist and an audit by the IRS look like a great time. Do yourself a favor and do not rent a car from these people...worst experience with a rental car company ever. read more

Reserved a mid sized car a week ahead of time. Showed up as scheduled, but they didn't have one. They gave me a SUV instead, but then charged me the SUV price - $130 more! (I didn't notice until after I left because they also don't give you any paperwork - it's all emailed to you). I called the main line and they said they would give me the original price and email me a confirmation. They never did. Called the next day, and the company says they can't confirm the discount because they were unable to reach this branch. I am currently trying to call the branch myself now and the phone has been ringing for 10 minutes without anyone answering it. Unacceptable! I will never rent from this company again. EDIT: I emailed them again per the response I received on this review on Sunday afternoon - it is now Tuesday afternoon and I still have not received a response! Not even an automatic reply. I rented a car from Enterprise in Hilliard, Ohio, in May 2020. I had a contract before the one in question and the circumstances were the same. I explained to the manager that I was working on the front lines in the pandemic. I also explained that I was staying in a guest room at the facility and that I was in a remote area, with Lima being the nearest city. I explained that I worked 16 hours and often had to go back on duty after four hours, making it difficult to get to the office to sign a new contract and I explained this. Apparently it was an issue, but the manager said nothing. On June 26, 2020, Enterprise charged my card $359. On June 28, 2020, I was informed that the rental had been reported stolen. When I asked the manager how was I supposed to get the car back to Columbus, her glib response was, "Oh, I don't know...maybe pray to god that you don't get pulled over?" Yeah, that's what she had for me. I called Hilliard Police and explained the situation. I gave the officer the plate number and he ran it and informed me that the car had, in fact, not been reported stolen. He even gave me his contact info in the event I was stopped while driving back to Columbus. So I made arrangements with work and after working 16 hours, I made the two hour trip back to Columbus and dropped off the rental at midnight on June 29, 2020. I retrieved my personal vehicle and made the two hour trip back to work in time to take a nap and go back on duty. I went into the app on my phone and locked my card so Enterprise could no longer charge my card, since I dropped it off. They still charged me after the rental was returned and then claimed they started the paperwork to report the car stolen and then I was placed on the Do Not Rent list. I was treated rather shabbily. I will stop at nothing to get satisfaction and I don't care how long it takes. They were wrong and refuse to admit it. Do not rent from Enterprise. They will lie and then double down on their lives. They can put people on the Do Not Rent list for any little thing and it doesn't matter if you're in the right or if you're innocent. They will put you on the Do Not Rent list if you share an address with someone who owes a balance to Enterprise. This company will ruin your life; I guarantee it. read more

Before they started merging with National, I would've given this spot 10 stars due to the personal touches the people working there had, especially with someone who was consistently using them on a weekly basis. BUT NOW...if your a loyalty member, THEY DON'T CARE. What you ordered is what you get. No flexibility to upgrade even if you're a platinum or even a titanium member. The merger has gotten rid of the quality people and placed "workers" who are more concerned with getting you out of their hair. They seem to be consistently short on personnel. I highly doubt they even care due to the high traffic of people coming through there. If you have an opportunity to goto another enterprise, DO IT...or go their competitors, because they'll treat you better. read more

When I arrived after my recent relocation, I had my bags and 2 cats in carriers and it was very late at night. I had come from a very warm climate in Az to a very cold climate and was freezing! They said they only had a couple of cars left and gave me a honda civic - the car wreaked of cigarette smoke and had stains on the seats. I was so tired that I took the car, but I actually had to come back the next day and change the car for something else. The second car was a newer VW Jetta and was clean and well maintained. I really don't think they should rent cars that are in the condition of that first car. It wasn't as if we went to a discount ugly duckling rental or something, Enterprise is supposed to be a bigger company. I was pretty disgusted by the car , but worse than that.. the cigarette smoke gave me an asthma trigger.. and I had to use my rescue inhaler. Usually Enterprise will come pick you up, but this location made me bring the car back for the exchange it instead. So even though they made it easy to switch the car once they had more and once I got there... the fact that they actually rent cars in that condition is unacceptable. if I hadn't been so tired from my trip that night, I probably never would have allowed them to give me such a thing... I just had the worst experience of my life at Enterprise Rental on West Broad Street. I had a written reservation that I made on-line AND a phone confirmation the day before. Arrived the morning I was supposed to rent a car and they had nothing available. And had the nerve to act like it was MY fault and that I didn't have a reservation because I didn't actually speak to the person who called the day before to confirm the reservation. I have rented cars from this Enterprise location over the past decade or so. Most of the time the process is quick, easy and nondescript. This visit (January) was a little more eventful. Lets start at the beginning. Numero Uno aka Number One. Everything was pre-ordered and paid just had to do the usual swipe the card and go over the contract. The young lady who helped me was adamant that I consider purchasing their insurance coverage. She noted I had a Texas DL and reminded me of the snowy, icing roads I would be driving on. She also encouraged an upgrade since I was only renting a full size and not an SUV. She asked what type of car I had at home and said I should upgrade to the same type of rental, she was putting the push on and was quite a good sales person all of a sudden. I started to feel like I was at a dealership and not a rental car company. After doing the quick math in my head I looked at her and politely said no thank you. She finally relented and I was able to move on. Number Two. Upon vacating the office an Enterprise employee came over and offered to assist me with loading my two large suitcases into the trunk. He also reminded me how to start the keyless vehicle and asked if I needed a map. He was truly helpful without coming off pushy or invasive. Great customer service and a treat after feeling like I had been given the push for an upsale inside the office. All went well with the rental and then on the night before the return I came out of a restraunt to see that someone had hit the car! I had sudden flashbacks to day one and the added insurance offer. Ugh! The damage was minor but since it was a rental I had no idea how this would go. I called my credit card company, my insurance and Enterprise to inform them of the minor damage. No one seemed that concerned but I must admit to wondering how the return process was going to go in the morning. After pulling up and going over the vehicle the agent tried to charge me my deductible even though I had told him that my credit card company was going to pay for everything. I have a card that covers my deductible if I put my rental car charges on it. So I always rent my rental cars with that card. He informed me that they do not bill third parties and that I needed to pay now. I held firm and said I would not and to bill me. I was nervous because I had never had to use this option from my credit card company so I was scared to say the least. When I received the bill I contacted their office and told them my credit card company would pay and the women knew the credit card company and the feature I was referring too. I gave the two business's the required information and everything was taken care of. All in all it was a good experience and I will definitely rent from them again. I wish they would dial down the sales pitch a bit but with so much competition I understand why they do it. I also wish I had not felt pressured to pay a deductible which they had wrote down as much higher then it really was. All in all this is a solid company with a nice fleet of rentals. read more

I usually do National. I'm a business traveler and if I can bypass any human interaction, the best. Well, not here. There's no bypass. You still have to go to the counter regardless of your status, and updated profile. Then, you go to another person who has a selected car pulled out for you. You complete your transaction with them. Two. Two whole people do you have to interact with. I know it might sound silly but, that's two ppl too much. I don't want to see another person let alone talk to them. And why can't one person process all this?! Yea, unless I forget to book my car late again and only enterprise is available will I ever come back. Until then, National is how I roll, where I can see people, walk by & ignore, choose the car I want, hand my license.. scream "no extras" and bounce. read more

Found a car to drive one way to Pennsylvania where I was going to purchase a vehicle I found on the internet. Arrived in a Friday evening to pick up what I reserved as an economy car. I was promptly greeted at the desk and they asked if I would object to a free upgrade to a midsize car. I said, sure. I was led out to the garage where I met a nice young man who led me to a brand new Chevrolet Impala. That car was freaking awesome and provided a very enjoyable trip to Pennsylvania. I won't hesitate to use this location again if I ever need to rent a car again. read more
