Despite having a confirmed reservation, they did not have a vehicle available when I arrived and offered no real solution. The wait time was excessive, and the communication was poor. My husband and I called 7 times and were told continuously that we would receive a call back. No one ever called back and when their office closed at 7pm they hung up on my husband. To rent a car is one thing ... it's just a car. Customer service is something different. Enterprise has great cars but if anything was to go wrong with the car THEY WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF YOU. They will not fix flats. You will be expected to drive on the temporary spare or be told to take it to a tire shop yourself and hope for a reimbursement. If your car breaks down, you will wait 4 to 6 hours for a replacement. They will never offer to discount your bill for any inconvenience. When you reserve a car for $100 a day, they will put you in a car the cost $117 a day without your knowledge. When it comes to Enterprise Rent Cars, it's "Renters Beware". read more

Then, the next week we were charged an unexpected "deposit," where there was no indication on our contract that this money was going to be taken out nor should it have been taken out, because the car was already returned. After numerous complaints to Enterprise, they still have not given us our "deposit" back. It clearly states on the contract that if this is a deposit, then it should have been given back after the car was returned. Don't trust them to do what is right and fix the problems that they have created! It just seems like they just want to cover their own a** and screwing us in the meantime. read more

We asked for a smaller vehicle, but were stuck with more of a gas-guzzler. When it was time to give it back, the gentleman we worked with was nice and understood our situation and was able to offer us a little discount. So, being that we had just given back the rental and our only car is still in the shop. We booked another rental car through this company. Monday morning came after the Easter weekend and I called to see if someone could pick myself or my husband up to take us down to this enterprise location. The gentleman answered and after giving my information. He stated that the manager is refusing to give us a rental car. I stated that it had nothing to do with our insurance company and we gave back the last vehicle, they did the walk around, and we paid what we owed. Enterprise prides itself on being Family owned in a corporate world, if that is the case, then they should treat their customers differently than the corporate world. This review is in response to the unprofessional service I received while at this particular Enterprise location for a rental car that I was loaned as result of recent accident. The first of two cars that I was loaned did not have a valid registration or did the office provide me a copy of the rental agreement. This was only made aware to me after I was denied entry to a military installation during a random vehicle inspection where I work. I returned to the office and Eric assisted me with a second car. He and the other people in the office were unsure as to why I was given a car with an expired registration. I then found it pretty interesting that the same car, with the same expired registration, was seen on the military base the following day. Unfortunate for me the second car also had its problems. It had a very strong odor of cat urine and smoke, and Eric stated that, "there were no other cars available". I reluctantly took the car and used that for the remaining two weeks of the rental period. The car also had braking and steering/alignment issues, which I addressed with Eric upon returning the vehicle. Upon return, I was assured that the insurance company, who arranged the rental, would take care of everything. It is important to note that neither time did I receive any rental agreement documents. Shortly after returning the second car, I discovered that my credit card was charged for "extra" insurance in the amount of nearly $400. I thought that this had to be a mistake, because my insurance covered everything that was needed. I was told that I accepted the coverage. When I asked for a copy of the rental agreement, the employee refused. They would not even produce any documentation showing my signature/initials. During this call, the office person even had to correct the spelling of my name and email address. After contacting them on several occasions and hang-ups, I was finally able to reach Shelby, the officer manager. She was incredibly rude, dismissive and clearly had no interest in speaking with or assisting me. Even to the point of giving out a loud sigh which seem to be one of disgust. In what seemed to be an attempt to get me off the phone, she interrupted me several times and sarcastically asked, "What do you want us to do about it?" I explained that I wanted the documentation or a full refund. She assured that I will have a copy of the rental agreement by the end of the business day (June 8th). Now a week later, the only thing I have received from Enterprise is an invoice of an adjusted "extra" charge and what was billed to my credit card. I would advise any person looking to rent from Enterprise to steer clear of this branch. The inability to provide basic information and remain in contact with its customers is enough to not do business with them. read more

I'm not even giving a rating but I had too to send this! We reserved a vehicle a full month before our pickup date. Fill all required information and provided CARD information to reserve a vehicle. Apon pick up date we are told that they will only accept Bank Cards or Credit cards, we use PayPal and is not acceptable. What I'm complaining about is ( a little information goes a long way!) Had this been known, I wouldn't be writing this review. My question is if my card information was accepted to hold and put a deposit down for vehicle then why would it not be acceptable for the full transaction?? read more

Service lady Ilsa helped us, got in a nice GMC Acadia right away, she checked out the car and boom we were on our way. Friendly service, easy in and out, was not expensive and on our way. I'm not one to write negative reviews, but here goes. I rented a car on a Saturday with the understanding I would return it to a closed location on a Sunday and leave the keys in a dropbox. My contract and the agreement was for one day. I was charged for 2 days. Several phone calls to Enterprise have been received with kindness and voice messages that explain that Enterprise "goes the extra mile". Several times I've been told the overcharge would be refunded, and it hasn't. Enterprise's voice message says "we treat our customers the way they should be treated"...but I don't know how much they really care. I've been an Enterprise customer for decades and it's sad that one time i had a dispute and noone stepped up to resolve it. read more

I had a couple hiccups at this locations. Initially the price did not reflect what I had been quoted online, but after a bit I managed to get this price. Turns out they hadn't realized I wanted to rent an "intermediate" sized vehicle. The other hiccup came from two things that made my trip a bit more difficult. I needed the vehicle for a week, and I drove it over several hundred miles. For some reason the paperwork did not match the actual vehicle, probably related to my previous issue, Because of this, the paperwork did not reflect the actual condition of the vehicle, mainly a scuff on the front. To make things worse, the visual inspection did not catch it either. This turned into a bit of a problem when I attempted to switch the vehicle out due to a check engine light. Luckily the people up in Kansas City, off I35 were very helpful and, though they could not trade out the vehicle, made sure I could get it checked out easily at a nearby Firestone. Luckily the scuff had been there the entire time, the gentleman who helped me upon my return recognized the damage and I was not liable. However it was big scare, and made my experience more stressful then necessary. I thought about that scuff a lot and in the end it wasn't my fault. I still want to give it a good rating though, because mistakes happen, and I can recognize that. The staff handled it in a professional manner, so I appreciate it! They are very friendly and usually have the type of car (with one exception noted below) you want available. My main complaint is that the cars are not cleaned appropriately between drivers. This happens nearly every time I rent from this location (a few times per year for several years). This time the front desk person had to switch vehicles for me because the vehicle was not clean. The one she rented me was also not clean (can't imagine how bad the first one must have been!). We had to clean the interior ourselves before we felt okay riding in it. Also they rented a standard SUV to a family of five adults and realistically they should have said that this size vehicle would not accommodate five adults. (Chevy Equinox). The backseat middle passenger had no leg room. Unfortunately, this location does not have larger SUV's and you would have to rent from the airport location. Would like to see this location go back to having Explorer-size SUV's like they used to have. We would rent here more often if these were available. read more

Super helpful (once they get to the counter). It seems like they hide in the back until they notice someone is there, then they say they were busy. Once, they get up to the front, they are very informative and helpful. My husband got a rental after someone hit him on the highway so he had to call them on quite a few occasions and extend the rental and had no problems. read more

SPID / Nile location; so I rented a car for leisure for 4 days, first of all, over the phone, they gave me a huge rate said that's all they had, I agreed under protest but agreed. Beyond disappointed but I go to pick up the car and explained to the young lady (Jordan) this is so unrealistic, On the spot, she advised me we can offer you this new discount rate. This was amazing on her part, that's what I call customer service. BTW I rent from these folks all the time. Because of Jordan, they get 2 stars. Jordan got me on my way, great rate, great service, great sedan. All was good, I'm pretty happy. I return to drop off after my time is up, the lady that checked me in, perhaps an assistant manager, (blond long hair) was so nicky picky about every flaw on the car's body. She noted way down on the bottom of the door almost the bottom trim was a tiny maybe 1 inch mark what could be a hairline scratch. First of all, when I picked it up was smeared with dirt and streaks of dirt cuz they tried to wipe it down to look like they washed it, (they did not ) These smears looks like scratches throughout the car but it's dirt and streaks all over. So she finds, this tiny scratch on the bottom that may have happened with construction on the road. For all I Know, It may have been there when I picked it up and I missed it. (I rubbed my fingers over it and it can be buffed out, cuz it was not even an ingrained scratch) wax would definitely buff it out. Hairline thick I am so put out by this lady and her trivial conversation about a tiny smear. I am in a hurry and she says she needs to make a report on it. Girl please, don't waste my time and do not come at me with this frivolous thing. Beyond Petty, perhaps she is new or perhaps she is trying to impress her leaders. This type of accusatory behavior I want no part of .... won't be going there anymore. Jordan is pretty amazing though!! read more

Each and every time there is some issue with renting from this company in Corpus Christi. They are shameless in their ability to deliver a seamless and professional experience. I understand from time to time things will happen however, lack of communication, not meeting reservation times with no regard for appointments customers have is beyond frustrating. The last 3 rentals have been short on expectations for anyone- sub par, dirty, trying to deliver a car that is beyond the mileage and use of the fleet, smell of cigarettes, (this past time it was foreign food that a gentlemen used to transport groceries for his Asian restaurant as told by your staff as we made our way to a second location to trade out a sub par vehicle), no gas or low gas and NO apology. They throw a 10% discount to smooth over bad experiences but I don't need a discount, I prefer you handle my reservation properly and respect my time. Beware! I wonder what else they are skimping on like vehicle safety checks. read more

I hate to be the naysayer in the crowd, but my experience was anything but pleasant. I needed to rent a car for a week, so I got on the website. The quote seemed expectable ($290) so I went ahead with the online reservation. When I went into the business, I was told that the cost was $754! WHOA! They told me that I had to have their bumper to bumper daily insurance, an $8 upgrade fee, $10 for second driver. When I questioned why the quote had more than DOUBLED from the online quote I was told that the online quote was only an estimate. They are a family owned business and they charge whatever they want. My husband and I are frequent business travelers and rent often from Enterprise (as well as others). Never have I been subjected to this kind of gouging. While we were in the office we overheard them charging another customer for small rock chips. I can not believe that this is Enterprises Cooperate business plan. If you rent a car from this business BEWARE! Inspect it, take photos, and make sure you aren't being taken advantage of. We cancelled our reservation and will not be doing business with this predatory car rental agency. read more

For sure, next time I will go to the airport Enterprise. Booked my car a week in advance. When I got there, they are bringing cars in from the airport to meet demand. That's ok, but when I get to the counter, I am told I may have to wait till they get a car there. No, I booked a week in advance. My car should have been waiting for me. What's the point of booking in advance? Then they give me a car with a crack in the windshield. No, they don't have another to replace it. I was going out of town and felt very uncomfortable with this windshield. For the week I had the car, the crack continued to grow so that by the end of the rental, the crack was in the drivers view, right down the middle. Also, one clerk said he would call me either way if they got a car returned before I left the next morning. Needless to say, no call. A lot of apologizes but to no end. I have used Enterprise for many years and have always had superior service, till now. read more

I have even had them come get me when I don't have a ride to pick up the rental and even the guys who come out to get you are friendly and welcoming. Renting a car at the Corpus Christi internal airport, one of the two clerks was not very friendly, but service was adequate. Rental counter is in the terminal and cars are just outside the door. I recently had a business trip so I got on Enterprises website and got a reservation and a price quote. It seemed fair to me, so I locked it down. When I went into the street address to pick up the car, I was told that the online price quote "meant nothing" and that my actual price (that I would need to pay to rent the car) was double the online quote. They also told me that I had to pay a lot of extra fees, that did not show up on the online quote. Such as "their liability insurance (mandatory), additional driver fee, daily fee for upgrade model." They also have a very aggressive "road hazard" policy which means you pay for every chip and ding. By the time I got done it was apparent I could have rented a Leer Jet for less money. So I told them to keep their car, I cancelled my reservation and I will never use this company again. I hope Enterprise is aware of these shady business practices and can do something about it; it will cost the corporation their reputation. read more
