I had booked a SUV a couple weeks in advance since I had a group of 8. They only had a small compact suv that sat 5 with barley any luggage space. On top of not having the vehicle I needed the workers had an attitude and were being rude over the phone and in person. They act like everything is an inconvenience to them even though that's literally their job. It's also extremely unprofessional when they complain and gossip about their coworkers in front of customers. Do not rent from this location you will have a better experience and most likely the car you actually need at the mason ave location. read more

Pleased with the suv. Employees easy to work with on both ends. We were a smidge late and they forgave us. My complaint for 3 stars is the sign says nothing about bringing your keys in when returning your car. The sign clearly says bring in 3 things: rental contract, mileage & gas reading. Then the guy asks me where's the keys?8- "I respond in the car" & his response was "it's gonna get stolen". So I say no worries I'll go get them. Meanwhile 2 police cars are parked within 200ft of my rented car. Then as soon as I leave I get hit with a 'late charge' of which we were told we would not be charged since we called in and told them we would be 45min late & they said they would give us 60 minutes grace. ‍. Now my wife has to call back and request a refund. I would still go with Enterprise just annoyed about those 2 things. read more

We booked months in advance. They did not have our Van. Needed large capacity for family. The wait was half an hour. They gave 3 vans to customers ahead of us. When we finally made it to the counter (after 14 hrs flying) the guy at the counter kept tring to upsell us to a smaller capacity SUV. Kept trying to convince us it was what would work. My wife REPEATEDLY told him to stop. HE kept going. WE just wanted the van we had reserved. The female "manager" that was sitting behind the desk, and not helping customers in our half hour wait, finally came forward and said " your reservaition is cancelled, we cant help you". They made their problem our problem...Fuck Enterprise....we walked 10' over and Avis took care of us...same price...without months of advanced notice. Got what we wanted. I'm not sure how my day and a half car rental went from about $130 to $226 when I turned my car in, but I felt extremely mad when I turned the rental in at the Orlando location and all they said was that they can't adjust or look into anything because I didn't originally rent the vehicle from them... Getting the car was fast and easy; the price was reasonable; the car was fine; and they did a follow-up call to make sure everything was ok. When I told them that the AC in the car needed some help, they offered to take care of the problem immediately (I declined). I wish I could say much more about this rental car services as other reviewers. Unfortunately, we had bad experience with this rental service. The night we had got into an accident because of a car debri that hit our rental car from a concurring accident in the same highway. My friends and I were traveling from Disney we were not able to get through their emergency line because it was not working. We got through a regular phone line but they would only tow the car and not provide us a car for the night. We were told by enterprise customer service that since they can't provide us rental car for the night they would reimburse us our taxi fare. After a harrowing night in the highway, with no idea as to where we were on the highway, the police officer offered to call a cab for us to get to our resort. The morning of our flight, we came in a taxi because we did not have the rental car. When asked about reimbursement, the manager said that they could only reimburse half of our taxi fare as a courtesy. The word courtesy is a joke. They immediately towed the rental car but failed to see the safety of their customers in the hour when we needed their help the most. It is plainly irresponsible on their part to not provide us a form of transportation in the scene of the accident when we had rental car contract upto next day. So, please beware of what kind of customer service this franchise provides. Customer care involves their safety, satisfaction and going beyond your means to help them in their time of need. This rental is not a place to get car if you are traveling from out of state. Do your research and be safe. read more

I was able to get the Florida getaway rate $9.95 a day drop off any U.S. continental location. The service was great. Rep was courteous and businesslike. So I was pretty much pleased with this location. I was not pleased with the hassle I had in going online to find a location that honored the FL getaway package though. talked to more than 3 reps who didn't know what locations I could get this deal from. Our flight was one of the last arrivals at Daytona and we were exhausted by the time we made it to the Enterprise counter. I reserved a full-size vehicle which they were out of so the gentleman upgraded us to a Chrysler Town & Country...thank you! When we had to return it, my daughter cried for "the white van" because she loved it so much. It was a painless and easy pickup and return. I normally use Enterprise locally, as they are accommodating and friendly. However, my recent experience was not as pleasant. First, I arrived at the Daytona airport on time to pick up my vehicle, and had to wait almost 45 minutes until the car was ready. Then, when I returned the car, my bill was considerably higher than the price quoted when I reserved the car. I was informed that whereas I had reserved an economy car, I was given a compact- A Nissan Versa is a compact??? Instead of $29/day, I was charged $53/day!The agent in Daytona never told me that I was being upgraded to a different class/price, so learning this at the end of my rental was most disconcerting. Fortunately, the agent in Tampa was very pleasant, and adjusted my invoice to reflect the original price, but it was aggravating, nonetheless. read more

I am disliking enterprise more and more . i have rented at least a hundred times as a plus member with gold tier status and using our business corp account that was set up by my original recommendation. The service seems to be worse and the prices, even with the supposed Corporate discounts are higher and higher. Every time i rent it seems as if its like a coin toss, with the high turnover rate of employees , as to whether i will get the supposedly included high priced additional insurance coverages that are supposedly included with the HIGHER RATE corporate account and a i am requested to sign to decline the coverages or i try to explain THEIR CONTRACT TO THEM and sign that i am accepting the free coverages. The reality is , The corporate account rental price, is higher and they are just including the cost of the coverages without their being any discount. I have their Plus member account card which is never asked for and gets me nothing upon hassled rentals. The cars i have rented lately are dirtier and dirties to the point that one had so much crap on the windows that i could not get off and i had to clean them three times with a cleaner and there is no way they could not have noticed that, at all. Last car i rented had the tire warning light on and i just ignored it rather than go through a real hassle. I thought i'd give enterprise another chance and start using airport ;location, That is even worse. Tonight , they couldn't find my reservation at the airport, then they did but couldn't find corp cr card number which i don't carry, subsequently asked to reenter in all my information that is supposed to be stored with plus account so i don't have to regurgitate, Then told me they couldn't rent to me. They told me they would make me a reservation if i had the acoount numbers and then asked me , AS IF I DESIGNED THE FING SOFTWARE, " Why isn't payment information in your corporate account and in your plus account? I walked out frustrated and had to hassle my drop off ride to wait till i got information that was stored in my plus account files , i thought, since i have really rented a hundred days or more in the last two years and it has always been there. i come back to counter after waiting on a few other customers to process with the ONe counter person, with my very polite friend and they now somehow find my plus account information but tell me I SHOULD LINK THE TWO ACCOUNTS OR SOMEHOW MODIFY THEIR SOFTWARE TO MERGE THE INFORMATION BETWEEN CORPORATE ACCOUNT AND PLUS ACCOUNT and again i attempt to explain, that would be an IT person question and why would she think i could somehow do that is beyond me. So tired after at half hour hassle late a t night and so pissed i stayed up to write this because - no one at corporate number answers late night, even though they rent cars late. U would think i could just call and speak to the corporate representative but no, I have asked at the locations to have them call m and that yields nothing. I have called their customer disservice number and they have been unable to find the corporate account and refused to give me any information and this resulted in no return call. I had had times when ,while only living about a mile from the location, they either have told me they cannot pick me up as they advertise. Numerous times it is very difficult to get someone on the phone to get a pickup and they have told me to call back which i dont quite get because they had the reservation days in advance, they know what time i want to be there but u have to call or repeatedly to get picked up and sometimes not. I have had rides where their employees are on the phone the whole time they are driving or having me wait while they talk on the phone before departing for a lengthy time and one of the last times driving at an unsafe speed. read more

I rented a Dodge Dart for a week. We were talked into an upgrade at the counter from the Fiat sized car we reserved at $3/day. The Dart was big enough for the luggage we had (including the golf clubs-one set). It was clean and a decent car. We used it mostly around town but did drive up the coast to Augustine one day (up the coast on A1A and back on I-95). It handled well and kept up with traffic nicely. We returned it before the counter opened on Saturday. We did receive a call saying our receipt would be emailed and asking if everything was fine. read more

We decided to have a bachelorette party for a friend in Florida. We traveled from New York to Florida on 8/4/16 and rented a 2016 Black Chrysler Town and Country minivan from Enterprise at Daytona Beach International Airport. The minivan we received smelled of cigarette smoke and had cigarette ashes all over the car. We didn't want this to ruin our first day in Florida and take up more of our short time in Florida so we didn't complain. On 8/6/16, (the day before our return flight) around 11pm, we were driving back to Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast from Universal Studios. I was driving north bound on interstate 95 when I saw an object fly into the grill of the rental car. It had pierced through the radiator which began to leak fluid causing the car to smoke up. It turns out there was a single car accident on the southbound side of the interstate, the car hit the guard rail and debri from that car flew into our rental car. I quickly googled a number for enterprise in Florida. The first number I called had an emergency service that was unavailable. My friend found another phone number to call and I was able to get through to a representative who set the vehicle up with a tow company. I asked her how we can get a ride back to the resort and she told me to speak to the tow company about it. I ended the call because the police officer needed information for the police report. Shortly after I called back and spoke to another woman named Messina about being set up with another rental vehicle since I had reserved the vehicle till 8/7/16 11 am (time of our return flight to NY). She told me since it was after hours she would not be able to set me up with another vehicle. She went on to tell me to save the receipts of the cab rides and bring it to the airport since Enterprise was supposed to provide me with a rental vehicle till the morning of 8/7/16. The police officer on scene was nice enough to call a cab for us since we were unfamiliar with the area. We took the cab back to the resort and I made sure to save the receipt. The next morning we had to take another cab to the airport since we still did not have a rental. I brought both the receipts to Enterprise at the airport and spoke to the manager named Brian who said "I don't know why they told you that because we don't reimburse for cabs" and he decided to give me half of the total cost which was $164 "as a courtesy." I wanted to resolve the issue while in Florida however, had to catch a flight back home. Once arriving in NY I called enterprise back in Daytona Beach and spoke to the manager Brian again. I told him I wanted to speak to his supervisor in regards to getting the rest of the money reimbursed, he went on to tell me that his manager named Tessanya? wasn't in the office and that she would call me back sometime that day or the next. I then asked for the phone number of corporate, which he gave me, but then proceeded to say "I'm going to call my manager right now, give her an hour to call you back before you call corporate." One and a half hours passed without any call backs so I called the number he had given me for corporate which was the number for Enterprise headquarters in Florida. I spoke to Carolyn who told me she's "sorry that happened" and that a manager would call me back that day. Two days passed and I still didn't receive a call from the manager. I called back to the headquarters and spoke to Carolyn again who said, "they should've called you back," she went on to confirm my phone number and said she would get in contact with the manager right away. I didn't receive any calls for the rest of the day. The next day I googled a number for Enterprise Corporate and spoke to a woman named Issaca who finally decided to refund $82. It has been ten days now since the incident and I have yet to receive any follow up phone calls from any of the Enterprise managers in Florida. I was given the run around for several days with no call backs what so ever and no resolution to my problem. It seems that all they are concerned about are their vehicles and not their customers. They were great about sending a tow truck for their vehicle, but left their customers stranded in a time of need and refused to reimburse the customer for taxi fares which they should have been responsible for. Paying for taxi fares when being unable to provide the customer with another rental vehicle should be a responsibility of the company and not a "courtesy" especially when the accident was clearly a no fault case due to unfortunate circumstances. We were amazed at how friendly Floridians were during our trip however our experience with Enterprise in Florida was shockingly atrocious and ruined our trip. Please be aware of the horrible customer service at Enterprise in Florida during situations like these and think twice before renting with them. We were in a very unsafe situation and Enterprise was not there to help. I will never again rent from Enterprise. read more

I arrived the third person in line 9:25pm Friday night. The counter agent spent 40 minutes with the customer at the counter. The next person was just a few minutes. I got to the counter, provided my reservation information and asked to rent a car to drive to Gainesville ( my brother was dying in Shand's hospital ) and that I would drop the car off at Gainesville the next day. The agent said Enterprise does not take debit cards. I said I have used a debit card with Enterprise before to which he replied not at this location. I asked him to show me the policy to which he said they do not have the policies there. Not once did he, nor any of the counter agents at the other car rentals every wish me any kind of empathy or sympathy for what I was going through. I have been a Registered Nurse for 40 years and I have given much encouragement to others, but here when I needed some kindness, none! Shame on you, Enterprise! Had I been able to rent a car when I first got there, I would have been able to see my brother before he died. What a horrible experience with Daytona airport car rentals! Today in the market place when there are so many car rental companies out their to choose from who are competitive with each other and are wanting you as their client. I feel that not only is the dollar amount part of the equation of which company to choose and pick from however the most important of all is the experience for you as the customer in how the company treated you. Above all it is their Professional approach in how they deal with you as the customer I feel out weighs all else even cost. Since the cliche says time is money I am more likely going to spend an extra dollar here if the company I am dealing with make me feel important and are Professional in approach, are personable and get me to where I am going in a timely manner without so many variable incidentals that just add up and take up more of my precious time. Enterprise is one such Professional Company that I would choose and use all the time above all the rest. It is their personable professional approach to their customer that they care about the most and that I need as their customer in all media services especially when I get to talk to them over the phone and or in person is the most important of all.
