Booked online with Hertz across the street, reservation was confirmed. When I arrived at the location to pick up they had no cars available. Hertz Staff were not helpful at all, they refused to pick up the phone and rectify the situation. Instead she directed us to call the reservations system ourselves, and that person could only reserve a car at a different location at triple the rate, Hertz refused to honor the same rate we booked with. Went to Enterprise across the street. Customer service was on a totally different level. Told them Hertz let us down, they said they help a lot of customers with our story. They had a car for us, comparable rate to what we booked thru Hertz, the representative, Sean H., was extremely kind and handled the check in process in under two minutes and had us on the road. Tank was empty they gave us a complementary half a tank and said we're covered if we bring it back low. World class service. read more

I don't understand why they charged me $51.25 for the Enterprise Toll? When I called to ask, they replied I Don't Know Tolls are tolls. And I was so frustrated that I went to the car rental store to ask and the answer was that they didn't know. And they gave Toll's phone number for me to call and ask. When I called Toll to request payment documents detailing the tolls I visited during the rental period, I was startled that the Enterprise was not doing well, Toll only charged $26.50, but The service fee is They charged me up to $24.75, but when I asked why they charged up to $51.25, the staff replied that I affirmed that Toll charged me, not them. and from the day I rented the car until the day I arrived. When I returned the car, they didn't tell me about the Service Fee. A few hours after returning the car, I also received a voucher for the days I rented the car in the voucher, which also did not include the $24.75 fee. This is the second time I rented a car here. I am extremely disappointed. The first time renting a car here was not like this time. I Don't understand why? what's Service Charge??? No good and too expensive!!! read more

I rented a car here because my car is being fixed at M&S auto body across the way. I have $30/day coverage for a car. Enterprise car cost $30 and they said insurance won't pay tax. Of course my insurance company will pay for tax. Instead of charging me $28 like other rental companies would and paying the tax they are milking me. And if there's another stretch, enterprise is putting a $1000 charge on my credit card if there's one scratch on the rental when I return it. Who doesn't pay for tax? This place is a large organized crook. I'm returning my car and going to hertz across the way. Their cars aren't as nice but it's a lot less hassle. How cheap can a company be? I'm so tired of companies taking advantage and milking people. read more

I drove 30 minutes to get here and after waiting for 10 minutes to be attended I was told there is no vehicles available and may be added to the waitlist??? I will NEVER RENT FROM ENTERPRISE AGAIN. After completing a rental, the office told me I could drop the car off at the dealership where I purchased my new car. When I dropped my my rental off, there was ZERO damage. The idiot driver who picked the car up scraped the bumper and I got stuck paying damages. I was then informed that it doesn't matter if it wasn't my fault, even if I dropped it off at enterprise, and one of their employed backs into it, I would still be on the hook for damages. I find this location to be incredibly difficult to deal with. Having rented a car, they told me that I could return after hours in South Boston. Because of a snow storm (Feb/Mar time frame), I did return to S Boston. This location lost track of the car and ultimately charged me for a full week instead of three days. After months of back and forth with the branch, the regional group, Twitter support, I was unable to get the refund I was promised. Will not rent from an Enterprise franchise again due to the lack of service and ownership of the problem. read more

Speaking to the call center to make a reservation was so slow and the representative couldn't get it together abou what location I wanted to go to; she made 2 wrong reservations before she got it right. The soonest someone from this location could pick me up was 2 hours at the earliest. I decided to uber there because I had a job interview and couldn't wait. Once I got there they said that they didn't have any cars available. So I paid for an uber and missed my interview. Never going back. read more

Hello, On Monday, I received a confirmation from Enterprise (via email) of my reservation for a car rental beginning on Friday, October 9, 2020. On Tuesday, I received a phone call from an employee of the local Dorchester location informing me that Enterprise would be unable to fulfill its obligations and had to unilaterally cancel my reservation. However, I was then transferred to a car rental reservation calling center / hotline to see about Enterprise fulfilling their obligations and renting me a car at a different location. Upon speaking with this representation, I was informed that Enterprise's website was not up-to-date, and even the calling center did not know where cars would be available at any locations in the Boston metro area. I stated there were multiple locations showing possible reservations and asked if I should book one before they sold out. The calling center representation emphatically and unequivocally stated I should not reserve one, and she would ensure "upper management" called me back with a new reservation that same day. I did not receive a phone call from anyone (neither the call center nor any employee at the Dorchester location). I then called the reservation system call center again to ask when I would be receiving their promised reservation. I was informed again that "upper management" would be sending me details about my reservation as soon as possible. I was told again not to inquire or make new reservations because "upper management" was handling the request. The next day, I called the Dorchester location and asked to speak with "upper management". I was told that this location could not do anything for me and had not been attempting to fulfill their obligations to find me a car in the Boston area. I was astounded. I said that that I had contacted the Norwood rental car location who informed me that they still had available cars. I asked if they would be placing a reservation for me or if somebody would be handling the location's noncompliance. I was informed that they would speak to an "area manager" who would be contacting me to find me a car. After again receiving zero information from anyone at any location or corporate location of Enterprise, I again had to call the Dorchester location. This time, I was told that the area manager was on vacation and would not be assisting me in any way. I stated that I knew there cars available in the Norwood location. I offered three possible ways for Enterprise to satisfy their obligations and help me rent a car as promised. First, I said they could drive to the Norwood location and drive the car back to Dorchester for me to come and pickup. Second, I asked that they allow me to pick up the Norwood car on Thursday evening (with no charges on Thursday). Finally, I suggested they reimburse my expenses to Uber to Norwood to pick up the car. They rejected all three options. I, quite obviously, do not own a car and live a two-hour bike ride from Norwood, MA. There is no way for me to get to the Norwood location except by car. However, my reservation was for a car to be rented in Dorchester. It would be quite unreasonable for Enterprise to unilaterally violate our reservation agreement, continue to lead me on by telling me they were finding me car (and that I should not pursue alternative avenues to find a car), and refuse to compensate me in any way for the extra time and expenses to rent a car in Norwood. The Dorchester location (and the call center) both clearly and unequivocally informed me they would find me a car and provide me with a rental for this weekend. I relied on those statements. Dorchester took no action to seek out a rental car for me or assist me in renting a car in Norwood, MA. Instead, I had to place my own reservation with the Norwood area. Enterprise must reimburse me for the cost of taking a ride-sharing service to Norwood to pick up my rental car on Friday given that they promised me a car in the Boston area. read more

I finally responded to the last one twice asking if anyone wanted to ask me about my experience, no response. That's the culture, no human customer service. I made a reservation online (Thursday). Everything was all set for (Friday) I arrive to pick up my car & upon arrival I'm told they Canceled my reservation because they had no cars available. (Very convenient) nobody notified me, no call, text or email. Wasted money in an uber to come here. They just leave me standing outside like I'm non existent. Nobody even tries to offer to help me make another reservation else where nothing. They continue assisting other customers like I'm not there at all. I can't believe how I was treated by them! They acted as if I could not afford to pay for the car and also was trying to tell me that I had to take the car for two weeks or four weeks and pay upfront. The women pissed me off so bad that I returned their Car the next morning and stayed on foot. I could afford to rent the car but, I will never allow some to pre-judge me. My account had over 9k in it at the time and I have a few Credit cards that could buy a whole car brand new! I'm a small business owner and I will never treat any paying customer the way she and her staff treated me. Black people are not all the same and not all of us are uneducated. Let me not forget to say she called me back to ask to put a hold of 200 dollars on my card. Mind you I just got that back 3 weeks later my bank released that money and I never even realized that it was not put back. Not happy about my experience at this location. My car was in an accident and I needed a rental. After I returned the car the manager called and told me I was responsible for $100. I spoke to a sales rep who assured me that I was all set and that they will reach out to insurance to make sure all my days were covered. After speaking to the manager she stated that they will not reach out to the insurance company and that I would have to call to ask for the extension, which I did and it was approved. The manager was little rude during our conversation. I rent from this location a lot but this is the first time I've had a bad experience. read more

******I'm giving you fair warning in advance...this is not the same company that they used to be in the past. I recently booked a reservation through Priceline at the 79 Freeport St Dorchester, MA location. After arriving at the location to pick up my car, the associate Stephanie informed me that they didn't have a reservation for me; even though I provided her with the confirmation Email, which included the Reservation Number and Reference number. The solution offered was that I could book a new reservation on the spot; but all they had left was a Pickup Truck which (smelled like cigarettes), at an additional charge of $115. Since I had flown across the country on a Red Eye and was driving down to Connecticut to visit my family; my choices were to take the truck, or remain stranded in Massachusetts. Imagine flying on a 6 hour flight, Ubering to Enterprise to find out that they decided not to keep your reservation; even after I provided them the confirmation email!! What clearly had happened was they overbooked; because the last two cars on the lot, were being filled while I was there. I emailed the Care@enterprise.com almost a month ago and they have informed me on 4 different occasions that they have reached out to the manager at the Freeport St location and the manager will be contacting me. I have not received anything yet, so I'm going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This company no longer focus' on their customers as they advertise. The main reason why I chose Enterprise previously, is because they put the customer first and provided exemplary customer service. Horrible service! I was trying to be patient with them. I rented a car back in December but dropped it off at a different branch. 1. They claimed there was damage done to the car so I wasn't getting my $250 hold back. After I disputed it because I proof that the car was given to me like that they realized the mistake and would issue a refund. 2. They wanted to give me back $175 because they thought I dropped it off on the 24th instead of the 22nd. After doing some research the manager realizes I was telling the truth and literally called me ten minutes ago saying I'll get the full $250 back. I was given multiple numbers to call which wasn't any help because everyone is telling about a process. When I first put the dispute in and notified the Freeport St. branch, Juan, an employee there said he's call me back. He never called back and come to find out he went on vacation for over a week. Every time I spoke to Kate she made it seem like she had to follow a process and get approval from another branch when she had the power to change everything all along. She would lie and say she has to contact the Randolph branch when the whole time it was her contract and there was nothing the Randolph branch could do. I just find it funny that after all of these weeks she was able to issue the refund for the correct amount in the matter of minutes. I was constantly lied to by her and Juan. read more

I've rented cars at the Freeport location numerous times over the years. I've always had a great experience. Everyone from the manager to the drivers who have picked me up from home have always been extremely nice and professional. I work in customer service and can be a little critical so that being said I know how it is to work in a high traffic environment and some times get impatient with customers.However I've never seen this team get rude, mean or impatient no matter how busy it gets. I've even had an enterprise team member go out of his way to stop off at a CVS near my home cause I forgot to pick something up before returning my rental. Overall the staff at this location is genuinely nice, very professional, respectful and really helpful. I highly recommend this location because the staff is great! read more
