Can't say enough good things about this location of enterprise. I've been renting regularly for over a decade but changes locations to this branch after a move to JP. The staff are friendly and the service is efficient. They go out of the way to go the extra mile and adjust as needed. Really detailed in terms of making sure you feel comfortable in your rental and with the terms of the agreement. Only downside is no after hours drop off but given the small size of the lot, I understand. Will definitely be returning for any future rental needs! read more

They have a reservation system that doesn't actually confirm a car is actually available, and you won't find this out until you take time off of work and walk 30 minutes to their location. read more

I had a rental booked, with a confirmation number and all, and they called me at 5pm the evening before I was supposed to pick up the car and told me that they could not accommodate the reservation. Even if you booked on the website or over the phone with a customer service agent, make sure you call the branch itself to confirm your reservation, or better yet, stay away from the absolute garbage company that is Enterprise. I've rented here multiple times and always had great service from the staff. The space is small and they don't have a lot of cars on hand so it's best to reserve in advance. But even when they didn't have a car for me, they found one at the Dedham branch and gave me a lift there to get it (staff at Dedham branch was also super helpful.) read more

I don't recommend renting from Enterprise in Roslindale, MA. They charged my credit card $543.21 without even emailing me an invoice or notifying me that the charge was due. They promised to send a receipt and never did. Nor did they bother to check with my insurance. If they had, they would have seen the charges were fully covered and their actions unnecessary. I refuse to work with vendors like Enterprise who insist that I spend my time repairing their errors. I had to submit a claim to recoup the money from my insurance company, which took time I didn't have. read more

We have rented cars from the Roslindale Enterprise multiple times and they have absolutely extraordinary customer service. Our friends from out of town visited and used Enterprise and remarked what good service they got received. Wow, what a bunch of jerks. I hand the guy my card to pay for the rental and he tells me, "Do you have a major credit card?" I say, that I just gave them a Visa and he says, no this is a debit card, it doesn't have a line of credit attached. I tell him that, yes, in fact, it does, and he then tells me they're going to have to run a credit check and hands me a form to fill out with eight million questions on it and who is my insurance agency, and what's my policy number, etc. ,etc. I, of course, don't have any of this information with me and object and his response is "You don't have to rent from us." So I am upset at this point and ask for the phone to try and get the information from my wife, and he comes over to me and asks for my social security number. What kind of scam are these people running? I basically tell him he's not getting my social security number and object to my treatment like I'm a criminal and liar because he keeps insisting that I don't have a credit line on my card, WHICH I DO, and then he says "You're not going to talk to me like that." So I say fine, I'm not renting from here, please give me a ride back to my house, and he says fine and starts insulting me to the driver. I get home and try to call Enterprise to complain about my treatment and they just want to shuffle me off to the manager, who was the guy treating me like this! Unfortunately yelp only allows a minimum rating of 1 star, these guys deserve a big fat ZERO. I went and rented from Hertz. No problems there! read more

Enterprise: we'll screw you up. These jackasses even recited my address back to me when I told them I needed to be picked up. The next day, I sat at my pickup location for 45 minutes, waiting for them. When they didn't show up, I called and was informed that no one knew that I needed to be picked up. Bull! I'm still sitting here, three hours late for work because Enterprise wasn't even open when I was due in to work. It seems that, in order to get decent employees in this society, one needs to pay them $100,000/year. I consistently see a decline of the quality and customer service of just about every entry level job in the past 10 years. Does no one take pride in their jobs anymore? From baristas to cooks to rental car employees, no one is held accountable for their shoddy work and I have to beg for a discount or some sort of assurance that the companies I buy things from actually care about me as a customer. read more

If you're too stupid and lazy to do some due diligence about car rental policies before you show up, then I have no help for you. YES you have to have a major credit card. They take a minimum deposit of $300 to reserve the car, and more (20% more) if the rental is over $300. Each enterprise location has their own policies, so you should CALL AHEAD and ASK before showing up, if you think you're cutting it too close. That being said, I've had nothing but good experiences here. They pick up, and even drop off if they have time. They got lost picking me up, and almost made me late for work. As a consolation, they gave me a substantial free upgrade and half a tank of gas that they said I could return empty. FYI Jonathan B, they need your SSN to run a credit report. It's not surprising that they asked for it. I've been to a number of rental agencies that have done this to me back when I only used debit. My only complaint about this place is that the location smells like straight up URINE. I think seven cats hung out for a weekend and just used it as a toilet or something. I hate going in there, and I really pity the people who have to work in that shack. I rent from Enterprise at least once a month, if not more. Update: returned the car on Saturday, and the branch manager was the one to complete my return. He was incredibly friendly and asked if there was anything that they could have improved on. I am surprised by the lower ratings that this location has received. I rented a car for about 1 week from this location and had excellent service all around. From the pick up at my work (they showed up as promised, on time), to the experience in the shop, to returning the car (they picked it up, as promised), I would absolutely give the Enterprise location a 5 stars. Their staff checked in via phone several times to make sure the rental was OK. I had an issue with the rental that I got, and their staff called other Enterprise locations to find a replacement vehicle for me. This location is one in which I would definitely return for a future rental. Top notch. read more

Manny, Antoine, and Tommy were all very helpful hooking me up with righteous service on many levels. My car was in the body shop and they picked me up. Then, I realized my license had just expired, and they took me to the RMV and picked me up again. They helped me transfer my toddler car seat back and forth. Then, they gave me a discounted rate associated with the autobody shop and also gave me some additional breaks related to the timing of the rental. In essence, I felt they went out of their way to ease my anxiety and make the experience -- one that I wasn't expecting or desiring -- palatable and easy. I've had excellent service & product renting cars here when my shitty old Subaru breaks down & I have to go to work while the car is getting fixed. They also pick you up & are flexible if you have to drop off somewhere else which is very convenient. Usually rent for a week as I never know how long it's going to take to fix my stupid Subaru. Always get a spiffy almost new fun car not just any econobox like a Chevy Spark or whatnot. Had a cool Kia Soul & Ford Ecosport most recently that I liked a lot & since I'm looking for a newer car it's like a good test drive. I would even consider buying a used car from Enterprise now instead of a slimy car dealer because they treat you a lot better than those squids in stretch pants! read more

The few other rental agencies I've dealt with in the past don't measure up to this crew. I wish they could give lessons to some of the other businesses in town... the world would be a better place. If I could give less than one star I would. What a rediculous experience I had with this company and this location. Reserved online- called twice- TWICE- to confirm my reservation- was never told that a debit card was not suitable for renting from them- nor is cash, check, or even the credit card of your spouse- nope. You must have a major credit card of your own or you cannot rent from them. Sorry, I don't use credit cards. I like to have the money I am spending. And I did. Plenty of it. Only they wouldn't let me use it to rent their car. I was on my way to a wedding rehearsal and I had to haul myself and all my stuff to a train station- thank GOD I live near one and was able to get their on time. I would never, never, NEVER go anywhere near this place again. I don't trust the company and I don't support their backwards policies. Thumbs down. You suck, Enterprise. read more

After my car was broken into, driver's window was smashed in, my insurance company arranged for me to get a rental car. Of course it was raining VERY hard that day. I have to admit, when I was talking on the phone to the enterprise I was getting annoyed. It was hard to understand what the guy was saying, and it was almost like his was giggling when he was talking to me. He arranged to have someone pick me up at my house to bring me to enterprise. After my quoted wait time had passed, I called in to check on my pick up. Finally my room mate came home who could drive me, so I opted for that instead and let enterprise know. Needless to say, I did not have high expectations considering my initial interaction. However, when I got to enterprise, everyone was very friendly. The car returns for the day, which are made by other rental customers, were late. This seemed to be out the enterprises control. They apologized and asked if I would mind being driven over to their nearest location, in Mattapan, where they knew they had available cars. As I just wanted to get my rental car and go, I agreed. When we arrived, they person who was helping me out was very considerate of me not getting wet. The first car that was pulled out apparently had not been cleaned out, which the person from the Roslindale location did NOT want me to take, and so I was given a new one. I rented a car here in fall 2015 and returned it to Logan Airport, as agreed. Somehow, after I returned the car, it disappeared. I got a call from Enterprise a few weeks later saying they "couldn't find" the car I had returned. Naturally I was very concerned, and I asked them to keep me apprised of the situation. I never heard anything back, and the next thing I know, they had placed a $700 charge on my credit card as a "hold" until they found the car - even though I had clearly returned it. This maxed out my card and pushed the total over my credit limit, so I couldn't use my card. I had to call the store and ask specifically that the charge be reversed. And I heard they never found the car, which is suspicious as I would imagine there are cameras in the parking garage at Logan Airport. If I ever need to rent a car in Boston again, it definitely won't be with Enterprise. read more

We've rented from here a couple times when we've had car troubles. It's within walking distance from Forest Hills Station (1/2 mile), which is helpful. If you call to make your reservation, talk to Liz if possible; she was by far the friendliest and most knowledgeable person there. Usually though, you're better off reserving online, as the rates are cheaper. Oh, and if you work for Harvard, you may be able to get a corporate discount, so be sure to ask them about it. read more

I've rented from Enterprise for years, and it was fine. Recently rented from the Roslindale branch, and the manager, Antoine Sharp, was beyond accommodating, and kind. I felt like he took care of me as if I was his Grandmother. Because of my experience with him, I have purchased an Enterprise car in the Woburn branch. Over the years I've purchased many cars, and knew I'd better be on my game, because It was going to be a haggle and a hustle. Walked into the Woburn office expecting the same hustle. It took me about an hour or so to drop my guard, and get it that staff were putting my needs first. I was there for 6 hours, because folks were brainstorming regarding what was best for my needs. Loved that prices were fixed, so no haggling. Got a fully loaded 2018 Toyota RAV4 with 30,000 miles, all wheel drive, for $21,000. They found it in New Rochelle branch. Sales guy there had a lousy attitude. Daphnee and Ed at Woburn let him know he was totally unprofessional, and that we were on speaker and I was hearing everything. They both followed through with New Rochelle manager. Don't know if Enterprise has intentionally created a whole new culture, or if new employees are just of a different ilk. Even phone reps. were so helpful. By the time I left we were hugging. When I pick up the car, I intend on bringing treats. Thank you to all. read more
