Enteprise Rent A Car in Quincy, MA took advantage of a young professional in talking her into taking additional insurance coverage for $25/day, while simultaneously "explaining" she'd get her entire security deposit back if there was no damage to the car. Upon speaking with the manager of this facility, it was explained that this is standard procedure (aka upsell) and offered apologies if the true intent was not realized. Further explained that since the "adult" female actually signed the contract, there was nothing more they would do. I plan to cancel my own Enterprise Rent A Car agreement, and move to a competitive service where they value the income and dollar of a recently graduated college student's finances a little more seriously. I got email to confirmed from Enterprise that my rental car is available on my date/time booking but when I go there for pick up a car, staff said " no car we don't have a car right now" what??? why is it available rental car in online, we can booked it? and you did not check email of customer and do not call back to customer to inform that " the car is not available right now" what did you doing?? and they have no any responsibly and help me just say "sorry" I'm very upset. I have used several different Enterprise locations in the past and this one was a wonderful experience. Izzy is amazing. He let us come in right when they opened and was able to get us our car two hours early that we had on reservation. He also upgraded us, no charge, from a red Hyundai to a beautiful and sleek, black Mazda3. We took it to Martha's Vineyard and to Gloucester and many other places. We were able to get a great deal and he was very friendly and informative. He also was very thorough. He made sure there were more than one contact number and he also made sure to introduce himself to both of us and we appreciated that personal touch and hospitality. We definitely will be using that enterprise and requesting him if we ever return to the Boston or Quincy area. We highly recommend coming here! read more

Wow! This place goes above and beyond with customer service and I wanted to shout them out! I've recently had lots of not so good experiences at various establishments and was beginning to lose faith in customer service representatives all together, but this location restored my belief there are truly nice and genuine people who care about customer service. To make a long story short, I went last weekend to pick up my first rental car ever so was still a little unclear about logistics. The car wasn't ready for pick up when I arrived, but Thomas, I believe, was so accommodating and understanding of what could be a frustrating situation and made sure that I left feeling satisfied. After dealing with him, I didn't even mind that the car was late anymore. A few days later a woman called me back to follow up about my experience and I was just impressed at how communicative they were, and how they valued customers. I've used this Enterprise a few times now, its a super easy walk out of Wollaston station so I can pick up a car on my way home from work if I need to. I recommend doing a reservation online, bc they seem to be pretty popular and rent out their stock quickly on weekends. ****Had to drop down to 3 stars :-/ Got overcharged again and the guy I talked with to fix it acted like he was doing me a favor. This was same guy that convinced me to purchase an upgrade on a previous reservation, and the car he gave me had giant gross stains on the front and back seats. ********************************************** The people here are great lately, especially the manager and a woman named Jade. Super friendly and as flexible as they can be with car choices. I've rec'd an upgrade more than once. I did find an error on my bill one time also, and they corrected right away. I've used the Hertz on Southern Artery and the Budget in Braintree, which sometimes can be cheaper. However, I prefer Enterprise when I can spring for the little bit extra because their service and cars are so much nicer. read more

My first experience with this place was great. The guy offered to pick us up. The transaction went smoothly! He even drove us back to our place when we returned the car. My second experience with this place was horrible. No one called to make verify our reservation. No one called and offered to pick us up. When I got to the place, I was going to pay with my debit car. Suddenly I needed a bill. But he would not accept a student loan statement, a bank statement, or a hospital bill. He was not helpful at all! After he denied us from renting a car (mind you I have rented from there before with my debit card and didn;t have to go through this mess), he did not even offer to drive us home. read more

They charged me for 4 days while I actually used a car for 2 days and 2 hours. Before I dropped the rental to my body shop I called them and also the shop owner called them to inform them the rental is ready to be picked up. Somehow they managed to pick it up 2 days later and charged me for that while the car is actually sitting in the shop. The thing is that they will not tell you what's gonna happen if you drop it to another location and it makes you feel that's the same as dropping to their location. However, that's not the only reason I give them 2-star. During the 4 days I've been charged for, 3 days were on weekend, which I should have had $10/day special. They didn't offer and didn't even mention it. So I asked, and they said the weekend special are sold out. Really? Literally the first time I've ever heard the weekend special are sold out. The reason rental companies offer that is because every weekend every site has a lot-full of cars just sitting there makes no money so they'd rather make something than nothing. Just because I never worked in a rental company doesn't mean I know nothing about it. I guess that's okay if you want to treat your customer like they were born yesterday. But you expect them to return? Hardly think so. read more

Enterprise in North Quincy has there ish together. I rented a 10$ special there last weekend and it was one of the easiest rental expirences i have ever had. 2 of the cars had tire issues so the employee let me chose whichever car I wanted that they had available in addion to another bonus which i wont mention so they do not get bumbarded with requests. All in all the gentalman (kid) wearing a tie, was fast, easy, and down to earth. I was in and out in minutes...great location. I always use enterprise in Quincy Ma when I visit the Boston Area. Reason being for it is cheaper to ride the T from Logan to there instead of renting from an airport area car rental place. We had a horrible experience. We needed a car for two weeks. Once the strong cleaning spray smell wore off in about 20 min, the car reeked of cigarettes. Returned it and was given a lesser model that smelled of diapers. Called all other local Enterprises, who had nothing. Got a third car from this Enterprise which was again a lesser car and reeked worse of cigarettes than the first- the stench was nauseating. All 3 cars had trash in them. The manager made it abundantly clear that she did not care, and they were not apologetic at all for the bad experiences. Our insurance company intervened and we got a car from Hertz. On the FIRST try, Hertz was able to produce a good car that just smells like a car. No trash, no cigarette ash, nothing. Will never use Enterprise again, and definitely not this location. read more

I had a company rental with enterprise that was arranged through insurance and pre-authorized for payment. I reluctantly provided a personal debit / credit card to the Branch Manager Kurt Stephens who assured me it would not be charged and that it would only be kept on file. I looked the guy in the eye and said, "YOU [Enterprise] ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO CHARGE ANYTHING ON THIS CARD. I'M TRUSTING YOU". Over a series of days, my bank statement reflected at least four (4) different unauthorized and/or fraudulent charges from Enterprise that they have still not refunded two (2) months later, each charge resulting in a $33 overdraft fee since, the card I provided is not one I typically use. Awful experience. Do not trust these crooks! read more

I have to give kudos to the guys over at Enterprise on Beale st in Quincy. I recently had a total loss on my car due to an accident. And the insurance covered me for a rental. I called them and Dillon was very helpful in getting me information I needed to get it done. I never had to do this before and he made it very simple. He called the insurance and had everything set up for me. He picked me up and brought me to the office. I was already running late for work. He had me in and out in under ten minutes! Every time I book an online reservation, even if it is for first thing in the morning and I booked the night before, they are ready for me and have me on the road in under 10 minutes, if even that. Both employees (a man and a woman) on this particular morning (8/15/16) were extremely professional and courteous as well as efficient and very easy to do business with. Three words: location, location, location. I really wanted to get out of the city and was desperate to find a cheap rental car. Zipcar is great but it can be costly if you do it for more than a day. A rental car in Boston can cost you about $90 and it doesn't include gas. So since Quincy, MA is the furthest away from Boston, MA but still accessible by T, I google maped the location to see if there were any rental cars within walking distance of the T station and wah lah, enterprise showed up. Through expedia.com, I was able to get a rental car for $20 a day. We had originally reserved a compact car but they were out of it and we got an Avenger for the same price. The guy that helped us out was lame. It seemed like he was new and did things totally by the book. He tried selling us every possible add on (insurance, another car upgrade, etc.) When we said no to the insurance, he walked with us to the car and pointed to the little scratches and was like, "See this is a minor natural scratch but if you get a bigger one, we're going to have to charge you." He then looks at the windshield and is like, "ok no scratches or dents on the windshield." Yea, way to go with the lame guilt trips! So after the papers were signed and the keys were handed over, we ask him if we can leave the car in the parked spot so that we could grab some food. His response, "It's your car. It's in your hands. Do whatever you want with it." Ok, douche bag. Thanks for spending so much time guilt tripping us and then when we ask you a simple question, you just throw us a half-ass comment. I might rent another car from them but I really hope I don't get the same lame used salesman. read more

Being on the mbta red line is so convenient because I skip the load $200 plus airport fees, and just leave the airport, take the silver line to red line, and there I am. Made a reservation at a certain price. When I went to pick up the car, they quoted me a higher rate. When I returned the SUV, my office chair and my sweater were missing. No one could recall seeing those items in the car. SUV provided was not clean - they offered me a coupon to get the car washed - Thanks, but no thanks. I was under the impression that I renting a clean car. Enterprise responded below - it's funny at the time they were not much help. I called the place and went there and no one remembered seeing an office chair, which would be hard to miss. read more

Yeah.....I too had to go here to rent a car to get back and forth from work after my break line snapped. Because I had no credit on my own card, I asked my Mom if she could make me an "authorized user" on her card so that I could get a car for a few days while mine was in repair. She called citibank and they put me on her card as an authorized user for the next day. I made an online reservation, snuggled up for a good night's sleep, then got up in the morning and walked 2.5 miles to the Enterprise location to pick up my new rental. They wouldn't give me the car because the name on the credit card has to be the same as the name on the license. Here's my issues: 1. I had the Irish guy too. He was totally professional and totally nice. 2. They've rented to me UNDER THE SAME CREDIT CIRCUMSTANCES TWICE BEFORE but wouldn't this time. They should know I will be returning their car. I guess their rules changed. 3. They would not call Citibank to see if I were an "authorized user" which cost them the sale - and a customer forever. 4. I'm just pissed that I was not given a car because I am a repeat customer who has rented from them twice before - AGAIN - UNDER THE SAME CREDIT CIRCUMSTANCES - and was turned down this time. 5. It's hard to give them a bad rating as the customer service from the Irish guy was great. It's just that the corporate policy change that prevented me from renting under the SAME CIRCUMSTANCES as I had in the past is a bad policy. Why can't you call Citibank and verify that YES.....she called last night and put her son on her car as an authorized user for the precise purpose of renting a car the next day?????????????????????????????????????
