I was in an auto accident and the person who hit me insurance covered this rental. The person who initialy assisted me was able to set me up with a car without authorization but rushed the process. Not only did he give me a vechicle that wasn't equivlant to my sedan, the car had no winshield wiper fluid, air in tires low, muffler fluid maybe leaking since it sound like a go-kart and smelled like masked marijuana. I pointed out the markings when we went over the car together and he kept brushing it off saying not to worry about it because it was preexisting. He rushed to get me out of there and sent the invoice to the wrong email. When I tried to fix it, and asked for a business card he said he didn't have one but gave me a number to call. It wasn't a direct office line and I ended up waiting on hold for 20 minutues until I was actually able to speak with someone in the office to get it corrected. The entire process took longer than expected (he had the incorrect information and was confusing me with another customer. I had to tell him to double check) and I was running out of time and had get back to work. I had a better experience when I returned the vechile and voiced my concerns. Expecially, when she noticed the small dents on the hood and I told her that I reported this to the agent who set me up with the car and he told me not to worry about it. She reassured me that I wouldn't get charged. When I asked for a printed receipt, they had issues with their printer but she made sure my email was actually correct and it was sent immedately which I appreciated. She also apologized multiple times (event though it wasn't her fault) and offered me a 1 day of free rental and tank of gas. I highly doubt I will be coming back but I appreciate the gesture. She's the reason this reivew did not have one star. read more

Scheduled my reservation for 12:00 PM, which is also their closing time. No plan for people maybe being a little late, they just locked up and went home without so much as a courtesy call. Customer service told me I was supposed to look up their hours ahead of time and figure out that a 12:00 reservation meant 11:45. The nature of travel is that people get delayed. Don't schedule appointments that only work if the customer is early. Not that it would have mattered, because nothing like the car that I reserved was present in their lot. read more

UPDATE: If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! I rented a car from the on 12/9 that I didn't particularly like so I asked if I could stop by after work and exchange it. It would be a mad dash from Natick to Cambridge but I was pretty sure I could get there a few minutes before they closed. If you are coming into Boston for the weekend, and don't want to pay 6x more for an Enterprise car at Logan I would highly suggest getting a rental from this location. On the down side, you do have to take the shuttle to South Station and then go on the T to Alewife. However, it is a short walk (or they will pick you up/drop you off at the station) to 26 New Street. Also, it was a really long wait to pick up my car and I was second in line. They only had one worker handling reservations, which is a little insane on a Saturday morning. On the plus side, it was easy to get onto the highway and start my weekend. Also, dropping off was very efficient and I was at the Alewife T station in 3 minutes! If they tighten up the pick up procedures, this is a four-star place. read more

I had a fabulous experience here when I rented over the holidays. From the pick up at my apartment, to the speed at which I was on my way, it was really top notch service. Also, I can't say enough how friendly and nice to deal with the guys at the desk were. Usually people aren't so chipper at 9am on Saturday but these guys were ready to go with huge smiles. We rented an SUV for a 2400 mile round trip holiday excursion because we needed the space to bring a bunch of stuff back with us. The vehicle was in very good condition and clean. It was reliable throughout the whole two week trip. There were a few things we wish had been better: 1) It did not have an EZPass, which would have made the trip smoother and I've come to expect in rental cars; 2) The windshield wiper fluid was not appropriate for winter and froze on impact; 3) The windshield wipers themselves rather desperately needed to be replaced. Other than that, good vehicle, excellent service, and couldn't beat the price. read more

I left my garage key fob at the rental car ( replacement fee for fob =200 usd) and dropped off the car at another location at Danvers. It was the day after I dropped off I realized I had messed up my reservation, causing my charges to be much higher than I planned them to be. This is a small outfit tucked away in Cambridge next to the hotel I stay at frequently for work. I've used this place 4 or 5 times when I come in town. Staff is friendly and efficient. The car exterior is washed but the inside is generally smelly and sticky on the steering wheel and console. Not the worst but subpar to larger rental locations. read more

Hello Potential Customers, I've rented cars for a number of years -- often with Enterprise. Ten days ago, I picked up my car. The tank was not full. Of course, I was told that I needed to return the car with the same amount of fuel or, as close to the amount as possible....which is difficult to do. Ultimately I returned the car with more gas than when I received it. A plus for them. However, my biggest complaint has to do with them holding $360 for ten days when I was told by the branch Manager that the money was automatically released to my Discover Card the day I returned the card and transferred the charges to my debit card. After five days, I became concerned when the money had not shown up as a credit to my card. I called Discover to ask them why not. Three calls later, on three separate phone calls, the Discover representatives said the same thing: Enterprise had not released the money. I went to the Enterprise Office twice. I was told that the money had indeed been released. Long story short, this was not the truth. When I finally reached someone in the corporate accounting office at Enterprise, the representative concurred with the Discover Card representatives. The Fresh Pond Enterprise Office had NOT released the Money to my credit card as they had stated. The Enterprise Representative told me she intended to report this issue to the District Manager. Lastly, I did not like the treatment and customer service that came from the Fresh Pond site. I found the Manager in particular lacking in good judgement, empathy, and integrity. Yes, they will now state that it can take up to ten days. Although the Manager said this had never happened before to any other customer...REALLY? When I told the Manager that I would write a review about my experience, his attitude was (so what?) And no, he did not say these words out loud. But he certainly gave me the real impression by his actions and his tone. Sorry about the long review. I will not rent from the Fresh Pond Enterprise office in the future. read more

I recently rented a car here while mine was being repaired. While they did pick me up from the repair shop and the car was fine, I was charged 10 dollars a day for an additional driver- the insurance company is refusing to pay this fee as it is apparently not a standard charge. I called this location many times and it's impossible to get someone on the phone. read more

For once, I truly wished that Yelp would let me give zero stars. I booked a car for 6PM and I was there exactly at 6PM. Guess what, their office was closed. I, of cpurse, thought that this could happen and called them beforehand. Here is what they told me at 530PM: "I'm sorry we are leaving in a bit, we can't wait for people all day." This is the kind of customer service you can expect here at Enterprise. Their misleading online booking and useless customer service cost me a weekend getaway and a few hundred dollars. I was hit by a person that rented a car from this particular Enterprise. Just know that if you are ever hit Enterprise will basically do nothing to move the process along. The woman that hit me reported the accident with Enterprise and her own insurance company. When her insurance company tried to get a copy of the rental agreement they refused to release it saying no accident was reported even though it was. When I called them to find out how to proceed they had me call several different people to report the accident. After every time I spoke to someone they would have me call another number to report it again, and again. Elco is the company that handles their accident claims. After finally getting a hold of someone at Elco they again asked for my statement. After saying what happened AGAIN the man suggests to me to call my OWN insurance company and file the claim through them. I said to the man "Are you serious? You're telling me after all this you want me to go through my own insurance company and pay for it myself when I wasn't at fault?! What was the point of calling and reporting the accident with all these people?! He then told me that it would just be a really long drawn out process to go through them. Hello!! It's already been a LONG drawn out process... They finally agreed to release the rental agreement. Yet they still haven't sent it over to the insurance company..I will never use Enterprise because of this experience. read more

Great location. Very nice representatives. If you treat them right, they treat you right. I've rented from this location 20+ times and the biggest issue I've ever had is having to wait a little bit to get a car (15 people had made reservations overnight while the location was closed the night before to rent a car for a holiday weekend causing it to be very busy). Even then, the representatives were friendly and did whatever necessary to get us into cars as quickly as possible. They even drove us to a location in Central where there were cars available to speed things along. Enterprise really is the best rental car company, customer service can't be beat there. If you have an issue, let them know nicely and I'm sure they would work something out to make sure you're happy. read more

When we returned our car they did not want to honor coupons for 3 free days that an enterprise representative from another state (Utah) had told us were valid. They treated us with suspicion and certainly not "like family" as their tagline suggests. My wife actually had to contact the representative in Utah and put him in touch with the assistant manager at this office. Even then, the assistant manager complained considerably about doing the necessary procedures to validate these coupons (he claimed he had never seen these coupons before and was unwilling to make the effort to validate them). Ultimately, we did get the credit but walked away with negative feelings about this particular Enterprise office due to their poor customer service. read more

Great customer service, easy after hour returns. The only complaint I have is the parking lot is very small. The parking spaces for this enterprise are hard to find when returning rentals. I actually couldn't find one, so I parked right next to a line of what looked like enterprise cars. Hopefully they can add more spaces! read more

Most recent experience: pick-up was on time, car exterior could have been a little cleaner, but the interior was just fine, and return was a breeze. Previous experience: there was one mistake where they charged for one more day than they should have. I called them directly and Charlie fixed the error in minutes on the phone. He is always professional and friendly, offers me the best options for up-grading, and one time when I had a problem with billing from corporate he spent nearly 30 minutes helping me resolve it. Fast, easy, efficient, and a great price. Rented a car here for a long weekend. I was in and out of the shop in about three minutes. Didn't get any annoying upsells on extras that I didn't need. The car was in good shape and drove great. Dropped it off after hours and got a call the next day telling me they'd received the car without any problems.
