Think twice before booking at this branch. There is good reason why this location has poor reviews relative to other nearby rental car branches. Confirming, this branch has poor customer service. They attempted to intimidate me to cancel my reservation, claiming it was within Enterprise corporate policy to hike up advance reserved and confirmed rates during holiday or high demand weekends. They left me a voicemail stating they would not honor the rate I booked in advanced the day before I was to pick up the car. I have this voicemail saved on my phone. I called saying I was running late for my reservation, the gentleman who answered the phone said it was fine. I get to the location to find out my car has been given away due to "first come first serve" Are they really serious???? Strike one Then they don't honor the online system at all. I booked a car for a weekend from Friday-Sunday, my reservation was pushed to Monday. I should have double checked the system but having trust in Enterprise I felt I didn't have to. This office is the worst customer service I have ever experienced with Enterprise. On Monday 3/21 I returned a Dodge Charger (rented through the Bardonia office) due to a safety recall and rented a Toyota Sienna from the Englewood office. This Sienna was the dirtiest, most disgusting vehicle I have ever rented. There were crumbs and pieces of food throughout the car, chewed gum in a cup holder, and a giant bleach stain on the floor in the backseat. It didn't appear that the car was touched at all prior to my renting. I called and complained regarding the car and received only the offer to come back in and exchange the vehicle. When I returned the car on 3/23 to the Bardonia office they were appalled that a car in that condition was ever rented. As if that wasn't enough, I received an overnight vehicle damages report today for the Dodge Charger for damages that were never discussed with me upon return of the vehicle. The damages were due to a missing driver back up sensor that was a known issue upon the initial rental out of the Bardonia office. When I called to resolve this issue with the Englewood office (gentleman named Matt), he was insistent that it is my issue to resolve and would not contact the Bardonia office to resolve. I then contacted the Bardonia office (gentleman named Victor) who was open and willing to help me resolve this issue. Based on the disrespect and poor level of service that I have received from the Englewood location, I would recommend everyone to steer clear of this location. I utilize Enterprise often for work travel and have NEVER had a poor experience. It is locations such as Englewood that gives the Enterprise name a bad reputation! read more

Staff that lies, and lack communication skills as well as an education for reasonable treatment! The company as whole makes a lot miscommunication problems, where they fail to explain the fees while your ordering by phone; as the drop off fee for 150, etc. I picked up the rental car in central NJ and dropped it off in Englewood NJ. The car was left with less than a quarter tank on the drive we realized and called back. They said they will correct it on the computer, not to bother our drive. We agreed, however when we dropped off the car the following day they had not. Also then lied saying we never did.... Furthermore, Englewood Enterprise staff were not impolite as their manager was. At first he did not want to come see us, even though the staff went back and forth to him. Finally he did, and told me I was yelling. I assured him, I was not and he was getting defensive even before we spoke. Btw, anyone who goes to a company and the company can't remember your agent nor any clue what's going on will find it frustrating to deal with! Now on to the branch manager; Matthew Nessim... Let's start off by saying his lack of education made him hostile and quick to judge. Without hesitation he ordered me; the customer to leave. I told him, I am paying then I'll gladly leave. He tried to show off and yell at me further on with leaving threats. All this was due to me asking him for his card, then telling him I no longer want to speak to him, let me finish and leave. "I shall write my review"! Afterwards I heard him muttering in his language, he has no idea we are bilingual. When my father heard him, he asked "what did you say?" And quickly he resolved and asked; "Where we were from?" after just yelling at me to leave....What! At that moment I realized he had bipolar tendencies! All the while giving a horrible treatment....Explain to me how the staff their are more polite then the manager who doesn't come out until requested for a few times all the while we see him...Then burst out yelling and acting out?!....What! As a insurance to your wallet, and safety I suggest you look elsewhere for help....their are a lot more car rentals out their that will strive for your business. My experiences with this location have been nothing but positive. I've rented from them twice in the past month and I'll be back again this week. I have never had a single issue with a vehicle, the price is always one of the best around, and the staff has consistently been friendly and professional on pickups and drop offs. There are two other locations that I have visited in the past that are closer to me, but this one is my go to spot. I get the quality of vehicle and service that I expect, along with a positive interaction with a staff that after the first visit knows me by name. Well done, Enterprise. First let me say that the beginning of my interaction was a lot worse then the end. Being involved in a car accident is bad enough and then to go thru mixup at the car rental company is just not necessary. My insurance company usaa arranged the car rental company because it's just a few blocks from the auto body shop. They contacted me by phone great and I stopped by the Saturday before the Monday I'm supposed to pick the rental car bring my license in etc all set cu monday. OK I get there like about 10am on Monday walk in 6 people waiting to be helped with really one capable guy behind the counter trying his best to help people. No sense of who's next etc computers running slow etc. The manager Glenn tried to do his best but this site is under staffed if another employee is there and there was another employee but again no sense of who can I help next I waited 40 min they somebody else came in after me and was helped before 4 other people not good. So Glenn who did his best he needs other employees who can help and get things done I received my car in about a hour and Glenn did everything he could to make it better he does seem to care about customer service and I received emails from him telling me what he will do to make it better. The drop off of the car was completely different they checked the car etc gave the keys back and was on my way like 5mins. Now because of Glenn and only because of Glenn if I ever need another rental I would give them another chance everybody has a off day but upon reading other reviews it seems to be a chronic problem with upper management. I unfortunately got into an accident that needed my car to be in the body shop so my renters insurance set me up with Enterprise, which they had a relationship with. At first, it was a pleasant experience -- they were able to see me last minute, pick me up from the dealership, and set me up with a car. I went over the contract with the representative, which was about $60 a day with their added coverage. Of course I took away the added coverage until the bill would be $30 a day, which my insurance would pay. Fast forward 2 weeks and I'm returning the car, they tell me that the $30 a day was ON TOP of what the insurance covered. Of course I was upset because I'm expecting a bill of only a couple dollars and I'm being charged over $400. Either that means they charge $90 a day by default or are not being entirely honest with rates when insurance is involved. The manager said he would call me the next day after speaking with the representative I dealt with, but never did. So as much as I would like to rent with Enterprise, never again after this experience. Plus the car only had a quarter tank of gas when I got it. read more

This location provided the most Jekyll and Hyde experience for me. Upon my picking up the vehicle for my rental, I was properly greeted and taken care of exponentially by a service rep named Ben. Couldn't ask for a better interaction. It is when I returned the vehicle, where I had a rude experience and unfortunately from Ben again. Ez-pass regulations are completely different within this pandemic, so I asked Ben after he told me my total amounts, how would I be billed from the Ez-pass transactions I had to endure during my trip. He stated he didn't know and would go into the office to bring me back a notice of what the potential Ez-pass regulations would be. When he returns from the office, 1. there's no paper in his hand, 2. he walks right pass me and assists another customer that is returning their rental. What made matters worse was he then took the vehicle that customer returned off the rental premises for some reason which I do not have a clue for. Ultimately leaving me there standing for 10 minutes awaiting this information. I had to gather the information from another agent while Ben drove off on me. This was my first time renting there and could have been the start of a lengthy relationship, but that all changed with my return experience. read more

When I questioned it, they said they would credit me because it was "a process". When there was no credit, I called and was told there would be a credit. No credit. Reserved a luxury car. Came to pick it up and they place was severely understaffed. Waited for awhile and then once it was my turn, the agent was nice but had no sense of urgency to do the reservation check-in quickly. After the employee finished verifying my credit card info with my bank (why was that necessary?) I needed to ride with another employee to another lot 15 min away, because they didnt have the vehicle on their lot. Why wasnt it if i had made a reservation? The vehicle I had to ride in to this next lot was a customer-returned vehicle, which hadn't been cleaned and still had their bags and stuff in it. I had to make room for me and my girlfriend to sit down because all their shit was laying in the seats. What the fuck is with this? We get to the lot and I see the car hasn't been washed and looked grimy. Pissed off that this quality qualifies as "luxury" these days. The brakes on this car were worn down and it had a hard time slowing down off the highway and around the city. I'd really like some kind of compensation to reconsider renting with them again. Other startups are better, faster, cheaper and nicer. read more

Wow best experience ever at an Enterprise. I had an issue booking with the main number and I was not too happy prior to visiting this branch. I dealt with Jose who was extremely personable and understanding. I was ok with the mini van they offered me but Jose offered me a brand new mustang for the same price. He had to dig it out of the snow first. He went out of his way to go the extra mile even though I didn't ask. This is what customer service is all about!! Easy in and easy out too! Although Fort Lee is much closer to me, Englewood's Enterprises' customer service is so much better and their customer satisfaction is an A+. I went there 3 times the past couple of months. During the most recent visit, I saw a black Mini Cooper the day before and I wanted to rent it out but it was $10 above my car insurance daily limit. Since they did not sedans for that day, they said they will match the limit and I walked out and rented the Mini. Very happy. All of the employees were professional and friendly. In recent years I have been working directly with Jose and he is wonderful. My most recent rental there this past month i also worked with Kim and she was also very helpful. STAY AWAY!! With so many car rental options out there I would advice you go somewhere else, but if you do rent with enterprise make sure you take a video and pictures of every corner of the car EVEN underneath the car before you rent and when you return it. Also, make sure that when you return the car they inspect it with you, don't let the representative inspect it by him/herself. I rented a car with them and when I returned it I walked around it and made sure there was no scratches or damaged but while I was checking in the representative inspected the car WITHOUT me and then said that there was a huge bump UNDERNEATH the car and he was able to see it because of scratches in the front. There were no scratches in the front when I left the car and now that corporate FINALLY got back to me they are sending me pictures of a car with a completely destroyed front bumper. Thank God I have pictures to prove otherwise but please please please BE CAREFUL. They are scammers and enterprise is committing fraud in order to charge customers for damages. Renter beware! After years of using enterprise personally, for my company, and my parent company referring business to them - this location shows why you should either go to Hertz down the road or find another Enterprise location. We picked up a car after my wife got into a car accident in Edgewater where a bus backed into her. State Farm recommended a different rental company but loyal as I am I asked my wife to go to Enterprise. State Farm gave us a fixed amount for a rental car and my wife did the math with the Enterprise rep at this location so we didn't come out of pocket. We were told that we needed to get the insurance for the rental car which we later found out through State Farm was incorrect and falsely represented by the rep. Additionally the calculation they did with us to avoid coming out of pocket never included the insurance so when we turned in the car we were stuck with a $300 bill. The manager Jose was useless when it came to dealing with this and their regional office has yet to return my messages. Great job from a company that use to be my standby. If you must rent through Enterprise, there is another location in Teaneck less than 3 miles from here that will give you much better service and hopefully has better business practices. read more
