I rented a car here through my insurance company when my car was getting repaired at a nearby collision repair shop. The experience here was unexpectedly pleasant. The staff were courteous and helpful, and they helped me feel better about the inconvenience of not having my car. Everything went smoothly. Wish I didn't have to leave one star. Get all the way here for them to not have a rental and try and put me in a truck when I wanted an economy vehicle. Everything was set up through Priceline. They said all I needed was my credit card and my proof of insurance and my drivers license and everything would be OK. I got here and it was a cluster F of problems. then they put me in a different car that was filthy, even though they had a feeble attempt of trying to clean it. They gave it back to me still soapy definitely the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing at this place bunch of clowns. UPDATE: I sent an email explaining my experience and what happened at the return of my car rental to the email provided by the business manager, Chris R, but I have yet to receive a response from Enterprise. Returned my rental to this location on Friday 9/22/23. Realized when I got to the airport that I didn't have my Bose headphones. I tried to call them immediately to let them know but they had JUST closed. I tried to call over the weekend but when I called they were closed. Got ahold of a branch manager, Jeff, and he told me they only found a pair of Beats headphones and that the wasn't any other headphones found. I know for a fact that I left them in the car well because those are my only headphones considering they are $400 headphones. I will be looking into taking other action due to the amount of this lost and found item that they claimed was never "found". read more

A quick rental that I set up online. This was a three day rental, driving all over SoCal, with a one way travel from Escondido to San Diego Airport. The place was easy to find as its located on a street corner of Auto Park Way, but it's located at like a five way intersection. So be aware that it may be tricky to enter depending on which direction you're coming from. After getting dropped off and viewing what's available in the lot, I didn't see much to choose from. Probably because my scheduled pick up was after 10am, and that may have made a difference in vehicle choices. Dwindling choices basically at this hour, so plan accordingly. All I had with me was an email about a free vehicle upgrade. So I mentioned this to my wonderful representative, Caitlyn, who helped me go from no available "mid-sized" vehicle to the free upgraded "standard" sized Kia. I've never driven a Kia, so I was content in trying it. Besides, it was my only choice lol. Everything was fine until I noticed a cigarette burn on the driver seat and muddy paw prints in the back seat. No thank you! In other words, I was given an unclean unprepared car. I went back to Caitlyn, and man what a champ! She addressed the issue immediately and handed me keys to a "full size" Nissan Altima. Which was practically new and perfect. It checked out clean with no dents. There wasn't much to change in the agreement, and I was on my way. Again, this was a 3-day, one-way rental that gave me chance to visit my relatives all around SoCal. Total without insurance, $538. Yep, gone are the days of the $29 per day rentals! Sheez, even $69. But still, regardless of price, I'm forever an Enterprise fan! read more

This company deserves ZERO stars!! We reserved a car to take on a christmas vacation for a week. We made our reservation to pick up two weeks in advance for sunday at 5pm. A couple days prior I changed our pick up to 2 pm to ensure we could pack up at our leisure. The reservation confirmation said they offered rides so my husband called at 1pm and 130 and nobody picked up the phone so instead I dropped him off at 2pm. The doors were locked and the employee told him through the window that they were closed. He told him we had a reservation at 2 and again he said, sorry we are closed. He finally said he would go ask the assistant manager if they could fill his reservation and came back and said she said NO! It was asked, why world did they make appointments for 2pm, if they close at 2pm (reminding you our original pick up time was 5pm)?? To which he simply responded, "you must have made the reservation online!" This is flipping insane and I cant understand how they dont piss off people weekly when they arrive to get their rental and they are closed!! We made the reservation 2 weeks inadvance, plenty of time for someone to see us on the schedule and call and tell us we would need to arrive earlier. We will never rent from this company again! Our family was in two car accidents this past year and we gave this horrid location our business with rentals. NEVER AGAIN! Unkind words were exchanged here and I vowed to make our experiance known. This assistant manager on duty should be absolutely ashamed of how the situation was handled. We had preregistered and the transaction would have taken 5 minutes. I went to this local Enterprise after my car was wrecked in a hit and run. This Enterprise is a lifesaver! The rental was affordable and the process was fast and easy! The employees were all very kind and professional. Thank you to the gentleman that said he had only worked their for 6 months or so. He was on top of it! BEWARE!! They don't check their cars before renting them out!! First rental had an air leak in one of the tires. Clearly a safety hazard. Returned that car and they gave me an upgrade to a full-size car at the mid-size price according to the employee. Well today I found out that was a lie. They charged me at the full-sized car rate. There was no mention in their notes about the inconvenience and risking my safety by giving me a car with a tire leaking air. The second (full-size) car they gave me had a weird smell and no water in the windshield wipers compartment to clean the window. When I arrived five minutes later I was quoted a higher higher price because the car they quoted me was not available. I rented an all electric BMW in Santa Barbara and drove to Escondido. But charging was very hard to find and I was really scared to drive it anymore. I just walked in at the Auto Park Way Escondido location and I was so happy that Mike Diaz was there to save my trip and my mind! Zero stars if possible- Buyer beware!! Made a reservation online for a vehicle in the standard elite class. Arrived to the office to pick up my vehicle and the man tells me I'm not allowed to rent a vehicle in that class with a debit card and I'll have to pick something else. Why wasn't this mentioned to me during the booking process? Why can't I rent a vehicle with a debit card and why must I use a credit card?? My credit card was stolen and I'm waiting for a new one to come in the mail but they didn't even care to work with me or ask any questions. I've always rented vehicles through enterprise with a DEBIT card might I add!! Horrible customer service at the shop as well. Appointments don't seem to really matter here. Had an appointment. CAlled for a pick up. Was told it would be 10-15 minutes. Half an hour later they picked me up. Get to the office and am told it will be about a 20 minute wait. 40 minutes later I asked how much longer it would be. The car was being cleaned, all the representatives were busy. Finally made a new appointment for another day and walked out. The only reason I'm going back is because my insurance company uses them. read more

Had a wonderful experience. Obviously I was stressed about my car being in the shop for longer then expected. Josh and the manager were very down to earth and welcoming. After finding out I needed a larger vehicle to support my children's medical needs, they made sure to put me in the right size car and something that was new and safe. First, the customer service here is wonderful. Jimmy helped us at the counter and Andrew with our rental in the parking lot. Both of them were wonderful and so friendly. We reserved a 12 person passenger van about a month before we needed it. The van was great. It was clean and a really nice vehicle to drive. My only complaint is that we had to wait 25 minutes for the car to be cleaned when we arrived at 9 am when they opened. We reserved the car three weeks before we needed it and Enterprise called the day before to confirm the reservation, so it wasn't like our arrival was a surprise. The waiting area was nearly full when we left as people were waiting for cars to be ready. It seems like they need to organize better or have an earlier start to have the cars ready for people to get in and out. read more

I was given another Nissan Rogue with another defective backup camera (with an insurance allowance of up to $ 50/ day) and couldn't get anything eIse, no matter how many times or locations I called. Once you're rented a car thru insurance after an accident, all I can assume is that Enterprise's payment is arranged and that they really don't want to help any further. Please read the following response from Care: com. I was directed after my review to write them. It is a condescending, defensive lecture to me which implies that I'm not to expect any other car with a working backup camera and that I should drive my husband's car while being fixed Instead of being given another appropriate car. After the long disrespectful diatribe, I was then asked for my Information. No thanks. Trying to contact Enterprise as advised after my review was a mistake and a waste of my time. The person who wrote the above to me should be given some training in manners, courtesy, professionalism and CUSTOMER CARE! Response from Enterprise care team I was advised to contact: "I wanted to mention that the back up camera is a special feature and is not guaranteed in any class of vehicle. If the camera is not working, it is not guaranteed that we can replace the vehicle if we do not have availability.  Also, while backing up, the camera is an additional tool to use to help operate the vehicle safely and for the safety of those around the vehicle. It is not meant to be used for the sole means of checking the area around the vehicle. (Please see the photo you sent. Manufacturers add reminders to check your surroundings for safety reasons.)  I am sorry to hear you are suffering from whiplash, and I apologize for any inconvenience! Perhaps if you have a second vehicle, your husband can drive the rental car and you can drive your other vehicle until either your neck feels better or your other car is repaired/replaced.  I look forward to hearing back from you.
