I called last week to reserve on the phone because the Hertz website prices were twice what they were everywhere else like on comparison shopping sites. The phone rep told me the price of over $110 and then tried to tell me I can get discounts if I have a membership like AAA. The AAA deal price saved me a whole $3 and wasted my time. I then went on the AAA website directly which was in the $50-60 range for Hertz rentals, tried to book it there, but the API was glitching and charging double price. I had AAA directly book it for me which was great customer service on their part. I went into this location today and they said I have to pay with credit card and that payments for debit card reservations need to be done at least 24 hours ahead of time AND there was a $500 deposit when using debit card. They also couldn't take cash. I DID NOT SEE THIS MENTIONED ANYWHERE IN THE BOOKING PROCESS After trying to speak with customer phone support to get that restriction waived, they wasted another half hour of my time because the phone rep didn't seem to understand the difference between a debit and a credit card. The employee at the location is not at fault and they're stuck by these ridiculous company policies that are not clearly displayed for customers. The whole experience was a nightmare.

As of today, that very same girl is now my wife, and I make sure she takes a cab from Richie (the owner) wherever she needs to go. Richie is the main driver, he is a gentleman first and then an excellent driver. He always shows up ten minutes before I ask him to do so. And if he cannot show up, he makes sure one of his other drivers is there ready to go. The service is unprecedented in my area.
