I had a late flight arrival, later than the posted hours for Hertz but there was one customer service person who apparently does wait on the flights and had my vehicle keys and contract ready to go - I was out the door and in the vehicle in a flash. The car was clean and almost brand new- it is nice to look at the odometer and see like 120 miles on it. Customer service was great- especially on the waiting for the late stragglers and the return was just as simple. All in all a good deal if you need a vehicle while in this area.

Despite the situation being completely out of their control, the team at the Fulton Avenue Downtown location in Evansville went above and beyond to help. Alea and Oliviya worked every possible angle to find me a replacement. They located a van in Kentucky, personally went to pick it up after their store was supposed to close, and even cleaned it themselves so I could get on the road for my trip. I truly appreciate the level of customer service they showed. Their willingness to go the extra mile--literally and figuratively--did not go unnoticed. I would absolutely recommend the Fulton Downtown location every time.

The blonde lady upfront answered every single question and helped me to understand everything. Rented the hybrid jeep and thought it wasn't started back up, the man came down the road to me to help. They go above and beyond here and THATS HOW YOU KEEP CUSTOMERS! Thank you guys and I appreciate everything. I do have a car now, but I may be renting the jeep in the future in the summer. Now your detailing needs to be folding those seats down because they seem to rush but only takes two seconds.

This happened on a couple of occasions recently, and Gloria and Bryan at the Evansville location still scrambled around and found me suitable transportation. If they can't get you a vehicle, it's because of something out of their control. They're both friendly and personable and I will rent from Hertz again because of them.

It's pretty standard practice (at least at every single legitimate rental agency I've used over the past 20 years) that you pick up the car full and you return it full. Industry standard. When I questioned this practice both at pickup and return, the woman working said "doing that would really hurt our business." Apparently they just tell people to bring it back with the fuel "about where it was at." I tried to control my eyes from rolling back into my head right there. Obviously if everyone brings it back full, it's not bad for business. The car I received was also almost 10,000 miles overdue for an oil change and ran rough at times. Felt super safe in that. I tried to return it with the fuel level "about where it was at," but because this is essentially a guessing game, Hertz got a decent overage of fuel at my expense. Extremely unprofessional and illogical, but whatever. I had to use this location because of an insurance issue, but I definitely won't be back or recommend it to anyone I know.

Before I turned in the vehicle I filled up the tank at the Marathon down the road from the airport. When I got my credit card bill I saw an $18.85 charge from Budget on the bill. I called Budget to inquire about the charge and was advised that fill up charge. I advised the representative that the car was full when I returned it and she immediately stated the charge would be removed without any hesitation. My sister warned me to look for this charge on my credit card. I wonder how many people don't recognize this charge and Budget gets away with overcharging people for gas. Budget do better!!!

Had to rent a car after my sister's funeral to get back to PVD and rented one from this Budget. The…read morelady at the desk was nice but very unprofessional. On her cellphone with someone the whole time she was checking us in. She told us there was a crack in the windshield that was barely noticeable and was already in their records so we wouldn't be charged for it. My wife and I go out to inspect the car and find that the "crack" is mor like a baseball hit the window so I took a picture. The inside was absolutely disgusting, I mean it was filthy and it smelled awful. There were kids toys, a cup holder from a car seat and even silverware strewn about. We took pictures and I go back to tell the lady, who says there are no other cars and I need to take this one but she wrote everything in on my account and told me that she was unhappy about the car not being clean and that I wouldn't be charged. But was too busy eating to come out and look at the damages. Whatever we take the car to get home from work and arrive in PVD. When we drop the car off we tell the worker everything and we were, again, assured it's in the system and wouldn't get charged. Fast forward to almost a month later, the week before thanksgiving. I received a letter from Budget stating that I was going to be charged $584.00 for the broken windshield. I called them immediately and was told they were able to reverse the charge. Two days after that the money is taken out of my account. $584.00. A week before Thanksgiving. So now we're scrambling trying to figure out how we're going to pay our bills, as well as Thanksgiving dinner because of Budget. I took the liberty to attach the not noticeable "crack" as well as what the gentleman in PVD wrote on the windshield. Thanks guys, I'll never rent from you again and I will be telling all of my family and friends.

Today I was reminded why we quit renting here. The wait is minimally an hour after you arrive…read morebefore you leave with your vehicle. They never have the car class you reserved and every car has to be cleaned while you wait before you can leave. Today we had to wait for the car to be brought from the west side and then cleaned. Not acceptable service.
