Took pics, called Corporate, was suppose to get refunded as they stated "This car is not up to company standards and should not be on the road." Standing in line waiting for them to prepare our car and writing this review because I'm disgusted with Enterprise's service today. Made a reservation two weeks in advance. When we needed to change the reservation and complied with higher prices, all of a sudden we were told we couldn't reserve the car until Tuesday (today is Saturday) because "all cars were sold out", even though our initial reservation still guaranteed a car, and that they couldn't do anything about it. After a lot of waiting they went back on that and got us the car, so they lied to make us leave probably. Also said that we couldn't return the car on Sunday and had to rent until Monday. That was a lie too, and they went back on it and we got the car return date on Sunday. Overall I'm extremely disappointed. This is a lot of blatant lies just to get rid of us and then to obviously take more money from us even though we were compliant and made a reservation in advance to avoid all the extra hassle of same-day rentals, and even agreed to paying more. Rented a car for Valentines weekend and everything was perfect. Car was ready right at the reservation time, all employees answered the phone in a timely manner, and never pressured into getting add ons. I have had the utmost pleasure of working with this specific branch twice and soon to be third and absolutely more times now while my car is being repaired. When I tell you every single employee in this branch has so much patience, professionalism, kind and always willing to help I mean it. From day one and I made several calls because I wasn't sure how it worked with my car insurance to get the rental and all of that. However they guided me through the process from start to finish and I promise you I have never felt so at ease before. They try to accommodate even at last minute reservations if they can, of course. They make you feel so welcomed and always within reach in case you have a question or concern. This was my first time using Enterprise for an out-of-state road trip. This has been my location since last fall. I'm not sure if they're staff has changed, but I've gotten used to seeing a different crew on Fridays and Saturdays, so this Yelp is for them. First off, they go to Dunkin Donuts for morning coffee like I do before I drive off their lot and hit the road (j/k). Next, the pick-up process doesn't even take 15 minutes, even when I don't add my license info to my online reservation before coming in. Now, I'm usually the first one there, but I've been the first in line at more than one Enterprise, and while I wouldn't dare call them slow, they're not as quick as this office. And when my favorite staffer is taking care of me, I can usually get outta there within 10 minutes. She's so much more than "such a cutie". She's the poster woman for young professionalism. And I've seen her juggle verbal communication tasks beyond really well with other coworkers, customers on the phone - or with supervisors - while dealing with me and my rental. Seriously, TED Talks needs to get a hold of her so she can give a presentation for millennial employees. This one's going places. #OneToWatch I normally rent compact or economy cars; but I have driven the occasional mid-sized car. This time I got one of their cargo vans (Way cheaper than U-Haul, and without the inconvenience of last-minute, day-before changes that can happen with U-Haul if you've ever used them enough to have to endure such lil' hiccups). As usual, it was a reliable vehicle. On this trip, the weather wasn't just mild with a few showers; the van was up against extreme heat (like, extreme heat that causes the road ahead to shimmer a bit like a mirror), and we had to drive through two or three full-on bursts of heavy rain. No prob for an Enterprise vehicle with a/c and wind shield wipers. But I normally get all the insurance, etc., so if something had happened while on the road, the extras that Enterprise offers would've taken care of the more common snags that can happen while driving. Anyway, just wanted to give an official update here. Reader's if you haven't tried these guys, you're missin' out in a big way. Many thanks to you, Enterprise Fort Lee. Worst car rental experience I've had. I went to pick up my reservation, they said they were sold out of the car I reserved. They told me I would either have to pay more for the mustang or I wouldn't get a car. I was honestly like wtf? I declined and they were like sorry cya later. Bafflingly bad. Seriously just don't go here or ever rent from enterprise. Go to hertz, have never had an issue with hertz, if they don't have a car they'll give you a different one even if it's more. The branch manager Andrew personally reached out to me and asked how was my experienced. I told him about the lack of cleanliness in my car's interior. Andrew initially offered me 10% off + free upgraded. I negotiated with him and asked if I could get the $15 insurance liability fee waived. I prefer smaller cars, so I wouldn't have taken advantage of the upgrade. Andrew said he couldn't waive the insurance option since it was state law, but he offered to credit $15 back to me. I have so many positive things to say about this place, that I don't know where to start. Customer Service is truly great! I am big on that and pay very close attention. There is a young Hispanic man who works at this location (I believe his name is Alex). If I had my own business/company, I'd hire this guy in a heartbeat! He is knowledgeable and pleasant. Even the gentleman outside washing the cars was very pleasant. (My car had just been washed when I picked it up, so it was squeaky clean - another plus). The checking in process was seamless and done in a rational amount of time. Unfortunately after several positive experiences with enterprise was disappointed that when I brought my car back to a different dealer I was told I was Being charged for paint damage on the kick plate that was present on car when I rented it but was not documented by Jake who works there. His prep guy did not show up that morning and he rushed through the check out ... When I pointed to some of the chipped paint he remarked "Oh don't worry about that" I informed enterprise that I would not be paying for the pre-existing damage and their response was to send me to collections while it is not cost effective I have retained an attorney ..I rather pay them the 700 dollars than pay for damage I am not responsible for... This place is just about everything I need in a rental car location. I've rented here for many years, and the staff has sometimes been better, sometimes worse. Right now they're great. They give me upgrades when available, are friendly and helpful, and try to get me out as soon as possible. I love that they have after hours drop off with a box. They just about always have dealt with me fairly, with a real understanding of what customer service should be. The one time (several years ago) I did have a problem with how I was treated by an agent there, I complained and they took care of it. My one criticism is that it would be fantastic if they were open on Sundays. If I want to rent a car on the weekend from here, it needs to be for a full weekend. read more

Customer service is always great at Enterprise. I have rented from them for many years at this locations with few complaints (until the last year or so). The last few rentals have been disappointing. Last week I rented a car and it was very dirty (I has to stop and buy Windex to wash the inside windshield and there was some sort of melted candy near the lighter - nasty). The car smelled HORRIBLE (like a dead mouse). When I picked it up the seats were soaked with what smelled like Febreeze (I am sure to mask the scent until I drove off). I had to drive 8 hours with the windows open to even breath with that smell. Luckily, the manager took very good care of me when I informed her about this. Again, the customer service is really good. The previous car rental had the "check tire pressure" light that stayed on the entire time (I stopped at a gas station to check the tires). This added stress to my trip. I have been renting cars from this location for about 1.5 years now and Enterprise in general for about 4. I live in Washington Heights so this location is extremely easy to get to ($2 bus over the GW Bridge) and my first few rentals here were great and the service was excellent. Unfortunately last fall, I had a terrible experience with 2 of the employees here that made me never want to rent from Enterprise again. There is another cheap rental place in walking distance in Fort Lee that I rented from after this for a bit. In the end, the employees here righted the wrong and I went back to renting from them. The incident occurred in September 2016. Flash forward to April 2017, the employees here still go out of their way to make me feel welcome and appreciated. Alex and Andrew are great at what they do. This past experience I just had on Friday was wonderful- they upgraded me to a car I would not have normally ever reserved for a small fee more and it made my weekend! They really make me feel appreciated. Everyone makes mistakes in life but what really counts is what you do to make up for it and to keep a customer coming back. I've used this location at least 10 times, but I'll never go back. It's true that the rates are lower than other locations, but you get what you pay for. I've arrived to learn that there was no car for me (despite having a reservation and CALLING in advance to confirm it). Once I waited in the parking lot while someone drove to another location to get me a car. I had reserved an SUV for a camping trip, and it arrived filthy (during a pandemic) and had TWO SEATS THAT WERE NOT OPERABLE. I paid more than $800 for this rental for one week. When I spoke to the manager, he made it clear that he did not care. Then, to top it off, someone named Goran Krasic from that location wrote to me to seek feedback and offered to "make it right", but then they never got back to me (even though I pinged him by email several times). This location is poorly managed, and I would recommend strongly that you find a different one if you want the start of your road trip not to suck. read more

Worst customer service ever from a reputed brand - we went there to rent an SUV and their salesmen were rude and didn't help much. One salesman provided a rate of $175 a day, other provided a price of $250. When we mentioned that we were provided a diff rate, the salesman started laughing and said you can talk to that salesman then, I can't help you. They have no information if we can return at other location or not. One salesman said, we can't return at other location, it's not part of how we operate at this location. I just love this place!!! It's a quick drive across the bridge and the prices are ALWAYS better, MUCH better than in NY. I almost didn't want to write the review because I wanted to keep it my little secret but these guys totally deserve it. The cars are always ready and clean at pick up. They call to remind you and make sure you're still coming which is wonderful because we've run a little late and instead of just cancelling our reservation they call to make sure we still want it. We even got an upgrade to a mustang! Imagine the look on my boyfriends face when Nemo said you could have that mustang for $5 more. Nemo is awesome!!
