I've rented from this agency once before with no issues, but felt compelled to leave a review after my last experience. Our United Airlines flight was delayed for several hours due to software issues, so we missed our connecting flight and arrived in Grand Junction over 3 hours later than our car reservation. I called to inform the agency about the delay. Fortunately, Richard was very understanding and willing to wait for us to arrive. When we finally landed and retrieved our luggage it was 12:30am, but he was there to greet us with a smile and hand me the keys to our rental car. This is my second time renting here. The first time came to airport with a reservation. When I arrived, I was told they had no cars, even though I had a valid reservation. Today, at the airport early, since my airline changed flight times. The original reservation was not correct but was for 5 pm. This manager will not allow us to get a car early, even though he has cars, but is making us wait 6 hours until 5 pm to get a car. Corporate will not changed the reservation since we are using free days due to build up of points acquired. This airport is bad news and so is enterprise read more

We fly to Grand Junction often for work, and have always used the Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the airport. Yesterday, when we arrived, we went up to the desk and asked the staff for our car reservation. They very rudely notified us that the reservation was for noon, although we have always made our reservation for 8:30 a.m. When the person that made the reservation told him that it was made for 8:30 AM, they told her that she was wrong and that they did not have a car for us. They were completely sold out. The customer service that was provided to us was absolutely horrendous. At NO time did the staff apologize for the error or attempt to rectify our situation. So, after being notified there was no car (and no one else had any cars available either), we told them that we would be back at noon to pick up our rental. At noon, we called the Enterprise Rent-A-Car to verify that they had our car available as we were running a bit late. Ashley picked up the phone and was very rude from the time of answering the phone until we got off of the phone with her. While on the phone we told her that we would need the car until 5 PM the following day (as we were told that the rental was from 12 - 12, although we have always flown in in the morning and flown out in the evening) and she told us that we would have to pay for an extra day. When we asked for an explanation, as it was only a few more hours, she very rudely let us know that it was extra time so we would have to pay for another day. When we told her that her customer service skills were subpar, and that we would be writing a negative review on Yelp, her response was even more atrocious that her customer service! She stated, "If you're going to write a bad review, then why do I want to do business with you anyway? I'm going to cancel your car." We told her that was fine, that we would get a car at a different location, and that we would not be using the Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the airport any longer. We then called Action Rent-A-Car in Grand Junction, whose owner is David Ward, and he gladly rented us a vehicle and offered to pick us up. He also brought us back to the airport the next day, and provided exemplary customer service. This Enterprise should be ashamed of their poor customer service and genuine disregard for their customers. I would not recommend them to anyone and will be notifying our corporate office to not utilize them on our future trips. While the customer service of this company in West Valley City, UT was great, the customer service at the Grand Junction, CO airport was awful. I had to drive from West Valley to Grand Junction for a concert. After about 100 miles the car lost throttle power. I coasted to the side of the road and once stopped the car died. It took nearly 20 minutes to get out started again and there was an ECN(?) light on. I was extremely nervous to drive it further so I had to be towed into Junction. They dropped me off at the airport location, which was closed, so I drove the vehicle to my campsite figuring I'd just swap for a functional car the next day. I drove back to the enterprise the next morning where I was informed they had no vehicles available and to try back the next day as there would be in the morning. They checked the car with a diagnostics system but nothing came up so they started to treat me like I was lying about it having problems. They also contested that it wasn't getting the gas mileage it was (i used 7 gallons to go the 100 miles I went before breaking down whereas it should have been averaging 35-40 per gallon). I asked if I could at least leave the vehicle there and they advised I didn't, stating they wouldn't be responsible if anything happened to it. So I had to drive the faulty thing back to the campsite a second time. The next day I called and spoke to someone else and was again told they had no vehicles and to try at 2 (this woman was very short and rude through the entire exchange). I then contacted the west valley location to see if there were other options. He called them and received the same treatment I had. Tried again the next day and was denied any help at all. The lady informed me that they wouldn't take the vehicle at all and wouldn't perform the swap. She told me there was nothing wrong with the car (implying I had lied about it dying on me) and told me to contact their separate office on the opposite side of Grand Junction. The people I interacted with at this location were rude and unhelpful, denied me any assistance at all, and refused to even take the faulty vehicle back. read more

I am a big enterprise customer and rent cars from the literally almost twice a week. Tonight we had a horrible experience. We arrived at about 9 after traveling in from LA and there was only one guy at the counter, he told us we couldn't use our normal billing account because he could authorize additional funds on it. We have never had issues before and even offered to switch to a different account. Rather than come up with options or looking into it he was rude and argumentative. I suggested that maybe he call someone as we rent all the time, and he told me I was wrong (nice customer service). I walked away from the counter to grab our luggage and he had the nerve to tell my husband I should come back to his counter. Referring to me as that woman....really. I've used the Enterprise at 5th street and the ladies there are awesome. No complaints. The airport location, however, seems to employ the most unhappy and unhelpful people they can find. Every person I have encountered at this location has had a sour face and obviously hate their jobs. What a fantastic intro to folks new to the valley or are visiting Grand Junction? The man working at the desk Sunday October 21 around 8pm was particularly unfriendly. After explaining to him we were returning the vehicle early he immediately started to give excuses as to why he could not offer a refund. "You have to return the vehicle at the place you rented from." was the first. Well the 5th St location is closed on the weekends, so how could they know I returned the vehicle early thus granting me the desperately needed refund? "Well they have a different inventory of vehicles so I'm not sure if I can do this." As a paying customer who courteously leaves my rented vehicle clean and full of gas, this is not my problem. After much grumbling and his cursing me under his breath, he WAS able to process the refund, and the return, for which I am grateful. But here is a tip to Enterprise, how about hiring customer service friendly folks to run your Grand Junction airport office? :D read more

Landed at Grand Junction on a Friday night. Had a reservation so I called ahead to make sure someone was here when our flight landed which was delayed. I was told someone would be here. Well, there is no one here and after a day of traveling we are now stranded in the middle of nowhere with no place to go because everything is closed... Our car broke down in Grand Junction, and we were looking to rent a car to get back to Denver. We looked online a saw this location had several classes of cars available. We even called to confirm. When we got there we had to wait 30 minutes for an agent. He the informed us that he only had a full size that was significantly more. When we referenced that the online reservation system says that they have some economy cars he said it doesn't matter because they don't have them. So if we made a reservation they could not honor the lower price and we would be SOL. Things go worse when I spoke to a reservation manager on the phone. The manager asked to speak to the reservation clerk and they were laughing at me! Horrible! Never again enterprise. read more

They by far had the worst costumer service I have ever received. Very rude man on the phone named Mike talked to me as if I was a child, I am an adult woman who needed a car and had never been to this pitiful town of 200 people in the middle of nowhere and was treated like trash. Thankfully I got my car but what really matters here is that you are decent people and know how to talk to and treat another human being. I hope you read these horrible reviews and take a good look at yourself and realize you need to change your work ethics and maybe people will actually be happier to rent from you. The only reason I rented from enterprise was because it was cheap. And the only reason it's cheap and because their employees are extremely rude. And their employees are extremely rude because they are so called adults working a minimum wage job when they should have a career. Well that's no ones fault but your own so don't take that out on me. So anyone that ever has to deal with Mike, just a warning, you will be treated and talked to like a child no matter what your age. read more

The car I was assigned made a funny noise and wasn't very clean. When I checked out the car, no one from the agency went out to the car to check it over with me. This seems like a practice leaving the customer at a high level of liability. The price was somewhat high, over $100.00 for a one day rental. Staff working at the desk were friendly. read more

I was having a bad day thanks to R____ over at Hertz. (See Hertz review) Matt was the first employee that I saw at the Enterprise counter, and he asked if he could help me. I asked him if he had any cars available. After finding out my needs he found something for me. When I went to pay he was very apologetic but they do not take debt cards. I live locally and did not have my credit cards on me. I did not like what he had to say but his attitude was such that I could tell he felt very bad about the situation. He could have just left it at that but he didn't. He tried to to give me other options which even included his competition. Someone with Enterprise even got on the phone with my insurance company and got all the information that was needed to get me in a car. She told my ins Rep not to worry, that she would make sure I was taken care of! This is what Plus 1 service looks like! R____ over at Hertz in Grand Junction just doesn't get it. Arrived from Denver on Schedule. Went directly to counter. Place was very busy, but the staff was very helpful. Our car was there as promised--clean and ready to go. However, it was a car I had not driven before and I needed extra instructions. While the staff was very busy, an employee did take the time to go over all my issues--or so I thought. Found a couple minor ones a day or two later. Very Friendly and helpful. Very typical of the other places I have rented from Enterprise. Only reason it is not a five star is due to not detailing all the differences with this car when initially shown. read more

We had made a reservation months in advance and I called a couple of days before arriving in Grand Junction. They did not have the Rav-4 vehicle (no one ever does) but we got a nice Ford Escape. I brought a copy of our reservation and that was very helpful. There were two employees behind the counter. Service was quick. We were on the road in no time. We used the drop box for keys when we returned as our departing flight was very early and they were not yet open for business. No problems really...if I had to "ding" them on anything it would be that the vehicle was not clean inside (plastic toys/trash under stained seats and we had to put air in the right front tire about 2 hours down the road) Bottom line is they had a vehicle, it ran fine, pick-up and return were relatively simple. I thought the price was very good. No real complaints...I can put air in a tire... and I plan to use them again. read more
