I rented a vehicle online through the Grand Junction Enterprise location on 5th Street (not the airport). I specifically reserved a luxury sedan through their website. A couple of days before our trip, I received a call fromTim informing me that they do not have luxury vehicles available at that location. That was the first time I was made aware of this. The only option I was offered at the same price was a Ford Escape. That is not even close to a comparable replacement for a luxury sedan. When I spoke with Tim, there was no effort to find a reasonable solution. I was simply told that if I wanted the vehicle I originally reserved, I would need to go to Denver to get it. This raises a few concerns: Why is a luxury sedan listed as available on the Grand Junction location's website if it cannot actually be rented there? Why was availability not clarified at the time of booking? Why was there no comparable substitute offered? This experience felt misleading and disappointing, especially given that the reservation was made in good faith through their own website. read more

DON'T RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! I rented a car from thus company, the day before the July 4th holiday, they took 471.00 out of my account! They were supposed to take 50.00. I called and it was to no avail! They don't care if I had money to eat on over the holiday, just tough luck! They said they reversed it but it never showed up in my account! Everything was fine, until the car was dropped off at the body shop. The I get a call the next day saying that a rim was damaged. I barely put 20 mileson the vehicle and only had it about 28 hours. I did not hit anything, nor ran into any potholes. And yet they know it was me because a mysterious black mark was on the rim that wasn't there in the before picture. I don't remember seeing a black mark, but had no reason to suspect one was present. Now I'm being forced to pay for it. Not saying it's a scam, but if it sounds like a duck! read more

This relates to the store on 5th Street in Grand Junction. We had to bring our car to the repair shop about a half a block away from Enterprise, and anticipating we might have to leave it for most of the day or overnight, we arranged to rent a car. Megan at Enterprise called us and said there was a cancellation and we could pick up the rental an hour early! Great! Something went right today! We did a few errands and I called the repair shop before we made our way home in the rental. They said our car was ready to go. Great! Something else went right today! We took the rental car back after having it for only a couple of hours or so. Megan was surprised we were back so soon to return the rental. Being the Amazing Megan, she gave us half off our bill for the rental. I can't express enough my gratitude to Megan and to everyone at Enterprise for making this a nearly perfect day (we won't talk about how much it cost to fix the car, but that's not Enterprise's problem). We are (still) broke down in nearby Green River. I called in the morning and placed a reservation on a vehicle, in which case I received an email with confirmation number that we were all set. However - my wife and dad had to take a bus from Green River to the enterprise at Grand Junction, when they got there, they released our vehicle and they didn't have any other vehicles for us. This is absolutely unacceptable that a well-known car rental company would do such a thing. How someone that works at one of these establishments would allow that to happen is beyond comprehension. I can't tell you how upset my family is that we had to spend $142 on bus passes to GET to Grand Junction, only to find out we didn't have a vehicle waiting for us. I had made a reservation 2 days in advance. When I arrived they had no cars available. 1 was in the shop and I could wait a few hours for it. Or maybe someone would bring one back, or I could upgrade to a truck for a lot more money. But they did offer me a generous 5% discount! Whoopee. This location on fifth Street did a fantastic job for us. On short notice during a pandemic on Fourth of July weekend they found a vehicle for us which was in excellent condition. The check in process took maybe 5 to 10 minutes at most. Allison F the assistant manager did a amazingly smooth and competent job. It was super hot that day but she was friendly cheerful and efficient. We were even slightly over an hour late returning the vehicle and they did not charge us any extra. UpUpdate, after contact with Enterprise Customer service my Uber costs were credited back on my card as they agreed 5 miles is well within the reasonable pick up area. Enterprise remains my first choice for a car rental. Update # 2.... My error regarding credit .,it was apparently supposed to be done by the Enterprise office where rental car was rented. After approx 2 weeks and no credit was made for my Uber costs I called Enterprise Customer service and they apologized and office would be contacted and credit should be done promptly. I think Enterprise corporate would be wise to get rid of the management at this office. read more

Had made reservations in advance and spoke with employees at the branch several times icluding the day before. Of course when we showed up nothing even close to our reservation was available an our choices were between a Tony chevy aveo and a gas guzzling suv. We had to take the suv, a newer Kia, which of course broke down ruining the last couple days of our vacation. Enterprise did not want to send a tow truck or give us another car and even suggested that we drive it in and wait while they take it to a shop and try to make repairs. Tried to rent a car here after a horrible experience at the Enterprise grand junction airport location... HUGE mistake! Should have known it would have been the same experience. I had a confirmed reservation by PHONE, took down my CC, drivers license number, DOB, everything. Given a second confirmation number only to find that they also had no cars in stock... was given a call right before I walked in the door with the bad news. I am a fan of Enterprise, but there is something wrong with this office. The hard sell on taking extra insurance while not welcome, not welcome, but not unique. The car had a hint of smoke, and if you know Enterprise, they are ruthless in charging customers. The manager checked out of the car, and declared the smell an industrial cleaning product. I rented the car with a Sunday return. Enterprise did not inform me they would be closed on Sunday, and it really casued be quite a mess. Is it possible to give a negative rating? I reserved a midsize Toyota Corolla. The guy who picked me up in a 15 seat van said, "I hope you are ok with driving a big van because this is the only vehicle we have!" He made me read a full page typed with all kinds of warnings like, "15 seat passenger vans are unstable going around curves at high speed, they are high profile and are subject to being overturned by wind, etc." Again, like other reviews, the high pressure "You have to buy our insurance!" I finally just tore the contract up and told them, "I reserved a car, not a van. I can't drive this monstrosity around looking at places to rent." Beware of insurance fraud by this branch. After the agent was 35 minutes late picking me up we did a quick walk around to look for major problems. Brought it back the next day and there was a dent right above the wheel well. The agent (big guy with brown hair) insisted that it was me although there was no damage to the top coat. I argued that it was obviously there before me and he would have none of it. I spoke the manager who said he would look in to it and get back to me and never did. I finally called corporate and they confirmed that nothing was filed. On top of that, Enterprise Corporate received an email from me and called with a survey but no one ever got back to me. I've had a lot of experience in the car rental, car share type business over the years, the Grand Junction downtown location hands-down gives the best service I've ever had. They are high-volume for sure and always manage to get you in and out on your way super quickly, efficiently and always polite. I've never had to wait-- my needs are always addressed the moment I enter the door and accommodated. I usually get the lower-end priced rentals, the cars are good quality and better than I expect; although I do not recommend the Nissan Sentras reliability. As of lately I have dealt with the manager Megan, she has been very understanding, professional and awesome. I haven't seen Allison the past few times but this woman has also gone above and beyond to ensure satisfactory arrangements. I had made a reservation online and my gps took me to the wrong location in town. My ride left and I was left there. I asked the very rude man who treated me as a child (he had to be only 2 years older than me) and when I asked how I can get to the other location he very rudely said "um take a taxi" as if I knew that was what to do. So much for "enterprise we'll pick you up" they couldn't even drive me to their other location 3 miles or so away. Another lady who had over heard the conversation offered to take me. Very rude people and extremely poor costumer service. I have never been so poorly treated by someone in my life and feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with these people in the future. If I could put - negative a million stars I would. I had rented a car and when I returned the car early in which they were very grateful for the fact that they had over booked and didn't have any more vehicles. I had gotten distracted with the lady right at my car door and rushing me in so they could get the car checked in. That I spaced my work bag in the back. Once, I hit the interstate i realized that I had left my bag in the car. Immediately, I called and they told me there is no way that I left anything. In the car was my work bag with my laptop, hard drives and books, etc. I have searched my home also. I also had asked to look at their cameras and was told only if I had police report. I was offered to look in only garbage cans. They also wouldn't let me talk to the guy who cleaned my car. Allison @ the 5th Street location in Grand Junction was very kind & accommodating in finding another vehicle when my boyfriend was involved in a multi car accident in Denver. The first thing she asked was if he was ok. She actually asked several times during our call. She immediately went to work calling locations finding him another vehicle so he could get home. She also followed up with him the next day asking if he was ok before proceeding with the claim information & so forth. The other location at the Sheraton in Denver was also phenomenal in getting John everything he needed in order to return home. On another prior trip, Enterprise gave us a courtesy Sirius when they were late getting us our vehicle. That might have also been Allison if she sometimes works at the airport location in Grand Junction. Her customer service is outstanding! I had the worst experience ever today with Enterprise Rent-A-Car (5th street grand junction, CO). I received a phone call 30 min before my reservation time and was told they did NOT have any cars for us (was already having to drive 113mi to get this car). I called customer service and was put through to the "escalation" department, after 45 short minutes and me suggesting they look at their "sister companies" they found me a vehicle in the same location as my original reservation (thru Alamo) but was told the rate was different ($600 MORE). The WORST EVER enterprise agent (dark brown hair) who brought out our rental car lied to and threatened us so that we would purchase additional liability insurance. He refused to give us our keys and let us leave unless we purchased liability insurance. His tone was hostile and threatening. After 30 minutes of deceiving and lying to us, and making us call our credit card providers about insurance coverage, he admitted that he couldn't provide us with official written or verbal confirmation that liability insurance was required. I had a reservation for a full-size car and a coupon for a free upgrade which I planned to use on a Friday afternoon. When I arrived, there was only one car available - a mid-size, because they rented everything else to people who just walked in off the street. I am 6'9", so the so-called "mid-size" is not very comfortable for me. To make up for the "inconvenience," they gave me yet another "free upgrade" coupon.....which evidently are not usable, since many times there is nothing available for upgrade. Although the agents were friendly they were very misleading and told me things opposite from the actual truth. I was needing a truck rental for over a month and for me to be able to drive it back to Houston, TX but they told me that I couldn't rent a truck and return it to another location so we had to settle for a Durango. I was very hesitant as I knew it didn't have enough clearance for what we will be needing yet it was my only option. Half way through the trip we saw sparks coming out of the back and because we were in a remote location we couldn't get anyone from rod side assistance to help us. Being that it was just me and one other female, it was dark, and we were thousands of miles away from home it was super scary! The roadside assistance told me it would be best to continue driving the vehicle cautiously to the nearest town so that we could switch it out the following day. The next day arrived and we had to drive the same vehicle over two hours away in order to get it switched out at the Durango location. This location was able to meet our needs with the truck that we originally needed thankfully. I don't understand why they could rent out a truck to us but the other location couldn't? Makes no sense. In addition, the truck got two flat tires two days after this incident. We took the vehicle to get them switched out but it took us FIVE hours to do so just because they had to get confirmation from their corporate office. I don't see why only one guy is in charge of the confirmation process and why this one guy didn't reply to the tire shop until 4 hours later? I don't care if he was in a meeting or doing whatever, I care that my time was wasted yet again and here was no one to help us make it a speedy process. The guy who is charge of confirming things like that needs to be by his phone at all times!!! It was a Monday at like 11am when we originally tried to get ahold of him, there should be no excuses to that!!! Overall my experience was very negative with Enterprise. For a huge family owned business, I am very disappointed in their service. I paid over 4000$ on my rental and I was expecting the best from Enterprise but I guess not! read more
