Hello, I have been an Enterprise customer for many years, and in 2025 I rented vehicles for up to six months at a time due to frequent work travel. Most recently, I rented a vehicle on January 6, 2026, and returned it on January 11, 2026. After returning the car, I realized I had left personal items inside. I contacted customer service on January 12, 2026 to report the lost items and was instructed to submit an online claim, which I completed the same day. Since then, I have not received any communication by email or phone. Over the following days, I called multiple times for an update. Each time, I was told there was no status available on my case. I called again the next day and received the same response. I then requested that my case be escalated, and I was told a manager would contact me. However, I have still not heard from anyone. I have continued calling daily with no progress or follow‑up. This ongoing lack of communication is extremely frustrating and concerning. I am requesting an immediate update on the status of my claim, confirmation that it has been properly escalated, and information on the next steps to locate or recover my personal items. Made a reservation a month in advance for my holiday travel plans. I called several times to confirm that the vehicle would be ready. Each time the agent said they can't guarantee anything. I knew then that this company was bad. However on the day of the reservation they told me my car was there. I arrived,checked in and waited an hour for them to tell me they didnt have the requested vehicle. They should not accept reservations if they mean nothing. I hope enterprise goes out of business. I would recommend anyone use this company. read more

Courtney at the east Joppa location is very unprofessional and rude. She gave my car away that I waited two hours plus to get. She said my address didn't register. Didn't make sense since I was renting for over a month. After she gave my car away it was proved to be a computer error but she continued to be rude. Argued with me ect. They have cameras andi hope some are audio. But prob not since she seemed comfortable in disrespecting me. read more

Very unhappy with my experience. 1) no one picks up the phone. I made a reservation and called several times the day of the reservation to confirm the details and make sure I had all needed documentation. No one picked up the phone, the system put it through to the good system, I waited on hold twice for 10minutes. No answer. 2) when I arrived after taking an uber to get here from the auto body shop. I had to wait for 20min in line. I watched the person at the counter tell several people that one piece of documentation was wrong for one reason or another. When I finally got to the counter, they decided my license wasn't useable because it expires this month... 15 days away. Their policy doesn't state this anywhere. I even already have my new license but it's back at my house and not yet in my wallet because my current license isn't expired yet. If you are going to have specific stipulations on every piece of collateral it needs to be completely spelled out on your reservation document so you can be prepared when you come in for your rental. The rental process was great until one of their detailers stole my handicap placard. It went from no problem you can come back to get it to the detailer didn't see it . Mind you this was the same day I returned the vehicle to them !!! The manager claimed that the vehicle was rented to another person and they never answered the phone so she could ask if it was still in the vehicle . To lie and steal from your patrons is nasty work . I had to call the police and file a police report in order to replace my handicap placard . You can rent from them but you better not leave anything in the their vehicles it's as good as stolen!!!! read more

This USED TO BE my favorite location to rent a car from until Dalton, the newest manager joined this location. He is a young guy that is more concerned with "the numbers" than customer service. As a platinum member, I am accustomed to being allowed the benefits bestowed my level of "rentorship", which is "free" upgrades. However, now that Dalton has joined I have to BEG for my upgrade because I use my corporate discount code, which was never an issue before. It wasn't until a gentleman whom was unhappy with the election they were given HIM, was given the vehicle I was being made to get which then resulted in my being THEN being given the upgrade. It was a whole thing which left me feeling like I'm now going to be finding a different location to rent from going forward. Other than Dalton's pettiness, the car selections are good and almost always plentiful. read more

Was charged an extra day. I was told by the gentleman who checked me in I can return the car at 3pm (an hour after closing) due to the time of my flight, and to leave the keys in the drop box. They still charged a full day... I called and spoke to a lady who was suppose to look at the surveillance footage to confirm my drop off and no call back. I then called the office a week later and spoke with the manager, Andrew Peterson. He was extremely rude and dismissive. The manager was not trying to be helpful, rather overbearing and aggressive. I felt I should not have been charged an extra day due to the fact their employee said I can bring it in at a later time. Would not recommend renting from this location, because if you encounter any issues the manager will not be helpful in any way. read more

My truck broke down on the week of my moms funeral, unfortunately and the unprofessionalism, unavailable, uncommunicative, and any other "UN" words you can think of, this company is the epitome of all of them. Due to a Car Accident in 2019 I've been renting cars from the 2600 Sisson street Baltimore , Maryland location for four years. I never had a problem with renting cars here or any other location for the last four years until I came across Enterprise Branch Manager Shakia Wynder. I walked in to pick up a vehicle. There were two customers ahead of me. I waited patiently and walked up to Shakia who sat behind the counter. I gave Shakia my Drivers license and Credit Card. Shakia gave me back my Driver license and credit card once she saw I was scheduled for a rental. She then asked how I was going to cover the vehicle for damage. I told her that my Credit Card Carrier covered Damage and loss on the Vehicle. I've had my credit card carrier cover Damage Coverage on rental vehicles for the last 20 years. Shakia then asked if I wanted to purchase Supplemental liability coverage on the rental vehicle. I have never ever purchased the Supplemental liability coverage on a rental vehicle. I replied "no". Shakia then says she will not rent out the vehicle to me. I was puzzled. I asked why. Shakia said the State of Maryland requires renters to Purchase Supplemental Liability Coverage, and because I didn't purchase it, she was not going to rent the vehicle out to me. LIE! What Shakia doesn't know is that I once worked for Enterprise and Hertz rental car. I know the Supplemental Liability is optional, and Rental agents offer it as a sale pitch to get more revenue off the rental. I also know that Branch Manager's get high Marks if the location they run makes the extra revenue sales on optional "add ons" that the customer doesn't really have to purchase. So Shakia lied. And remember she is suppose to be a leader at Enterprise. I knew Shakia was lying about my requirement to purchase Supplemental Liability. I remained calm and simply stated. "I've been renting cars for here and for 20 years and I've never had to purchase Supplemental liability coverage. " Shakia just smirked but would not look me in the eye as she stared at computer screen. When people are Dishonest they tend to never look you in the eye. Shakia would not rent a car out to me. I asked Shakia her name and she simply reached for her business card without looking at me and handed it to me. I took a sit on the lobby and quickly set a reservation for another car rental company located 10 minutes away. astonishingly I got a similar car size but it was about $45 dollars cheaper. For the last four years I rented from the Sisson Street location at least three times a month, and even got my girlfriend to rent from the Sisson Street location. Me and my girlfriend had built a good relationship with some of the managers and MT agents because we rented there so much. Because of the dishonesty of Shakia, I haven't rented from that location since she lied and prevented me from renting a vehicle. All because I didnt fall for her lie and the game she was trying to play. In her dishonest attempt to a little bit money on the rental, she caused the location to lose at least $6000 a year(car rental cost, toll charges ) that me and my girlfriend combined for over the last for years. I have stacks of receipts from Enterprise from the last four years(my car accident case just settled. So I had to keep receipts) . In that stack of receipts, not one has the purchase of Supplemental Liability coverage. Two months ago I wrote in to Enterprise to tell them about Enterprise Branch Manager Shakia Wynder lying and inconveniencing me. Enterprise didn't contact me back. The only good part of this is it opened me up to using another car rental place that has rented me out vehicles at a much cheaper rate than Enterprise who I've come to now find out aren't cheap. read more

DO NOT Rent from this location. Not sure if all ERC locations operate like this one but avoid this branch at all costs. Being from FL., I guess I'm just use to not being price gouged for a car rental. I'm sure you've seen the many Enterprise commercials blasting the $7-$12 per day rentals. Heck, on a busy week, $20-$35(approx.) a day. Ok. I understand. This is not taking advantage of the customer, however. It's reasonable rate adjustments pending on the day of the week. If you're going through your insurance company they tell you they don't have vehicles in the price range that your insurance will pay for and you will have to add money out of pocket. Call right back different number and said I was paying out of pocket. Now they have vehicles. SMH read more

It is within range of the Baltimore Penn Train Station and covers a big part of Baltimore City, including the Johns Hopkins University. The store is located in a bad part of town, so I'd recommend getting a ride there via Enterprise or a friend. This is not Zipcar or a "car-sharing" service, so there is no hourly rate. The smallest, cheapest car starts at $40 to $75 per day, depending on the day (e.g. Fridays and Saturdays are popular days = more expensive). People working here are very friendly, especially John, the assistant branch manager. However, while this branch has a good number of employees working here, they still seem to be short-staffed given the volume of customers. It's a good 30-40 mins to leave with a vehicle and a good 20-30 mins to drop off the keys. Hence the 1 star off. read more

This location gets 5 stars for edward being the perfect example of high quality customer service. the rest of the staff should be following his lead. very well spoken and customer satisfaction comes first. this is one of the few locations in the city worth going to. if u want a fair and smooth rental process make sure you ask for edward. read more

Pickup was fine but the return was a nightmare. They charged me a "prorated pet hair cleaning cost" because my clothing tracked some dog hair onto the driver's side over the past 30 days. At no time was my dog ever in the car, and it's just on the driver's side, and a small amount for a 30-day rental. There were more crushed leaves than dog hair! Ridiculous! I've used Enterprise as my primary rental when I need one. In making a prior reservation for a 6 hour drive for thanksgiving, I don't think it is out of line to expect a car to be available at the time you specify to pick it up. However, upon entering this location for my reservation, I was informed there were no cars available and there was a line of people waiting for cars. What kind of sense does it make to first, allow for reservations to be made if no cars are available, or second, to rent cars for a reservation and therefore not having a car for that reservation? Zero. It makes zero sense. Now there is the business sense to all of this. How happy are the 4 other customers in line with me right now? They're happiness level is also at a zero. Lots of zeros going on here. Although the staff is being as accommodating as they can, and that is appreciated, it doesn't help the blatant stupidity that was put into motion at some point today. Enterprise gets a 0 for today. 3 for 3 on zeros today Enterprise. The staff, and their ability to handle the issue is the only reason there are any stars after this experience. read more

While it is still true that they can get backed up and service can be slow, I will also say that they have taken care of me multiple times, and when issues have come up (like a car that clearly wasn't cleaned well) I have gotten top notch service. I have rented here quite often (like every other week for the last few months - I travel for work. Wayyyy too much) and the staff does try their best. One other ding is that reservations made onsite don't show up on the Enterprise App which is silly. I ended up canceling all of the reservations I had made while in the store and rebooking them online. I also really appreciate the follow up on the yelp reviews - it's a sign of a business that cares when they take reviews seriously. There's still room for improvement, but my original review now reflects what my experience has been lately. read more

I have used enterprise in the past and always found it a positive experience. I found tjat enterprise do care about their customers after all. After speaking to them and finding error on both ends I am happy to say they do care about their customers. I have one suggestion that they explain different types of cars to women especially not all women are as "dumb" as me when it comes to car types so you have to explain and prices for economy and compact makes a difference in prices read more

My insurance company chose Enterprise as my rental company when I needed a replacement vehicle. Dealing with your car being broken into and the ignition being popped isn't an ideal situation, but the customer service at this location made it so much better. Initially, Alexis handled the rental with me, allowing me to go pick out a car that the teen would find "cool" and convinced me that a mustang would do that. I drove away, and the tire pressure was low, so I turned around, and they promptly filled it and was on the way. The next morning, the tire pressure was low again, so I filled it and called Enterprise, where Alexis told me to bring it back and see what else she can get me in. She was super apologetic for the situation and the fact the selection wasn't as great as the day before. Not a problem, since I decided I wasn't cool enough to drive the sports car anyways and opted to stick with an SUV. She was absolutely a doll, and her customer service was top notch. When I returned the car, the transaction was seamless, from me pulling in, to the wonderful service I got. The gentleman who helped me (sorry I forgot your name, I swear it's not because you weren't wonderful, I'm just forgetful) was friendly and even apologetic about the hold fee not going onto my card right away, but I assured him I knew it was the bank and not them. They had someone waiting to take me home and she was pleasant and I enjoyed talking to her about her grandkids. From the initial interaction to the end, even the phone calls in between to let me know when the rental was ending was amazing and friendly. If we rent a car again, even to just go on a road trip, I will be back to this location for sure! read more

I had a very bad experience at another location (bad tires and no refund when I had to miss my trip because of a bad rental) but this location always put safety first (of course I ask for them to recheck the vehicle before I leave). Beware - although I told the rep I would be returning the car after 5, she did not emphasize that the location closed at 6:00 p.m. My bad too - I should have looked more closely at the contract. I got caught in traffic (accident on the highway), and arrived moments after 6:00. They were closed. I had a spirited conversation with a CSR who said the only solution was to drive to BWI. So, I had to take the car to BWI, incurring a $50 cab ride from BWI to Baltimore Penn Station. Missed my original train and my rescheduled train. Eventually I made it home. Enterprise is typically one of the better rent-an-car services, but this experience left me cold. Our company gives us a choice between Enterprise and National, and this experience was so frustrating that I'll choose National whenever it is available. read more

I've rented twice from here since it's walking dist from where I live when I have need for a car for 1 day when zipcar doesnt cut it. I like that they have good rates for just the day and good customer service but I hate that they try to upsell me their insurance both times saying oh it's just one day, you dont want any problems etc etc. I bring my ins card and my credit card covers the additional. I hate having to go through the upsell and checking for scratches and dents for 1 day's worth of car rental risk. I've rented at airports and they don't go nearly as hard on the upsell as this place and then I can go out and get the car real quick. I've only rented from here twice so far because the upsell is not worth the hassle to me when I can use zipcar and not go thru the song and dance and both times after the contract was written up, it took a while for them to bring out the car (about 15 mins or more) which bothered me too. I guess I'm looking for zipcar ease and convenience at a daily rate which no one has cornered the market on yet. UPDATE: I found out there is such a thing as enterprise car share in other cities. I hope you guys come to baltimore soon. read more

Not kidding here...these guys provide some of the best customer service I've ever had in years. My car has been in and out of the shop for the last three months and I've needed to rent three cars in that time (6 total visits), and the Sisson Street Enterprise people have done everything they can to make the rental process easy and stress free. The employees are all very friendly, professional, and personable. They are a diverse group of individuals and I've seen them help a diverse group of customers during each of my visits, and they treat everyone with equal courtesy. Another reviewer mentioned how slow they are. This might have more to do with how busy they are than how slowly they perform their jobs. They were focused on their jobs but sometimes the rental process takes time. I always showed up 30 minutes prior to closing and I'd say half my visits were quick (10 minutes or less) and half were a bit more lengthy (15+ minutes), but it was never because they were joking around about personal stuff or playing on their cellphones. Lastly, on a map the location looks a bit sketchy but in person I felt very safe and they keep the place clean and organized. UPDATE: Dropped them down from 5 stars to 3 stars. I just found out from my insurance company that they are not going to reimburse me for the full amount of my rentals from this Enterprise because I was charged twice the "fair rate" for a couple of my rentals. The reasoning was because I used a coupon code when I booking my rental and so they charge a "convenience charge". So basically, if you try to save money with a coupon code, they will charge you more than if you didn't use a coupon. Lucky for me my insurance company is going to reimburse me more than the "fair rental rate" and so I will not be out as much money as I otherwise could be, but I'm still paying money out of pocket for something that should be covered...all because this strange and shady business practice. Everything I said in my original review is still true, but I'm reducing my rating because what good is excellent customer service if you are going to get suckered in the end? I'll probably try a few other places before I go back here. read more

This was the second time I have reserved a vehicle and arrived to find they don't have the vehicle. I reserved a car, I don't want a 15 passenger van to drive three states away. "We're so sorry ma'am," he says with a totally fake condescending smile. "I'll comp your gas to apologize for your inconvenience," while I waited an hour for a car to show up. Gee thanks - the car was on empty. The first time they didn't have a small car for me was when my car was in the shop, the rental was paid by insurance. I had to drive a huge car around for a week, very uncomfortable for me and dangerous for my line of work. I called every day to request an exchange to a smaller vehicle, and they said they didn't have one. I would not recommend using this Enterprise site. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service at this location. I didn't know what to expect due to the rather random location on Sisson Street. Everyone was polite, professional, and I even got a ride back to Hampden when I was finished with my rental. I received a Hyundai Sonata for the rental class I chose, and it was great for my quick trip up to NYC and back. I would definitely rent from this location again should I require a rental in the city. read more

I'm a regular renter with Enterprise and have had to deal with the majority of the locations in the northeast part of town regularly. I've only been to this location once, but I was extremely impressed by the positive attitude of the staff and the fast service we experienced here. I was in and out at the blink of an eye for a vehicle swap, and didn't have to wait a single moment for staff to handle my situation. Very impressive Enterprise location. Office was very well situated and clean, as well. read more

I restrain my self to leave bad review on yelp. However, I just had to speak up about the worst service ever by the management and the employees. This branch used to employ excellent employees. I had been renting the car from here since 2010 and the previous employees had known me so well that I had never.. NEVER purchased their insurance. Never had any problem until beginning this year (new manager, named Derek..perhaps). First happened couple months ago. On Friday, I tried my luck to rent weekend special $9.99 and my reservation was confirmed by email. I got off from work, caught the bus, walked 0,5 mile from the bus stop to this office, but when I got there...booom! no car was available to me! I showed the manager/supervisor (guess the name was Derek) the email confirmation. He just stood there with his blank face and explained there was nothing he could do since they were out of cars. I was pissed because my plan for the weekend had been ruined. So I ran back to bus stop, took #8 bus to Enterprise in Towson, and by grace of God, I got the car. (I highly recommend this branch).. Alright, few months had passed, I decided to give them another try. I reserved my car from a week ago, received the email confirmation so off I went this morning. The day was cold and raining, but still I caught the bus and walked 0,5 mile to this place. When I got there, this particular employee checked my reservation on the computer then went over to Derek's table to ask about something. When he came back to me, he asked my proof of insurance which found out later, our insurance had been cancelled since we had sold the car. I told him, look man, I have been renting car from here for almost 5 years.. Not ONCE, I had purchased their insurance and something happened, it would be covered by my credit card. But they refused to rent me the car and insisted that I had to purchase the insurance or no car at all. I was like..fine, picked up my my belongings and walked out in raining cold weather...mad as hell, because my weekend plan had been ruined..again! I have made it my mission that I will share this worst car renting experience from this Sisson street branch as far and wide as possible online and mouth to mouth to friends, family, acquaintance, heck even strangers. I don't give a damn about their weekend special anymore. I would just get out of my way to catch light rail to BWI and give business to those rental car companies there. No hassle, no headache and certainly no heartache. read more
