I first heard about Knotty Pine RV Resort on social media-someone had posted about the beautiful…read morescenery and the plethora of activities to do, but what hooked me were the pictures of the tiny house (cottage) available to rent. I'm a sucker for tiny houses, in fact I dream to live in one someday, so I was looking forward to my stay here. We do a decent amount of "camping" in our trailer, but this weekend, it was the tiny house that called to me. I was absolutely shocked that I was able to reserve it last minute for Friday through Sunday. We arrived after the registration office was closed, but found our information in a box by the front door. The cottage was far better than the pictures on the resort's website-it has a main bedroom with a queen bed and four single beds up in the loft. There's also a small couch in the living area. You could fit six people in here easily. Note that the loft is only about five feet tall, so most people won't be able to stand upright. But it's a kid's paradise! The kitchen is stocked with basic dishes and utensils plus full oven, stove and refrigerator. The bathroom has simple shampoo/conditioner/soap. The quality is pretty low, so if you want nicer stuff, bring your own from home. There is a TV in the living area, but not in the bedroom or loft. There is a picnic table and fire pit outside, so you can get a taste of the camping experience while still enjoying the luxury of a "home." The campground itself is very pretty-lots of beautiful trees and a tranquil river that runs nearby. There is a clubhouse with pool table, arcade game and several seating areas to socialize. They have activities occasionally, mostly geared toward the littles. The layout of the campground is slightly disjointed, and the further toward the back you go, the less it's maintained. There were some spots that appeared to be storage areas rather than camping spots, but they were dispersed between the others. Since we did not pull our RV, I can't talk to how hard it was to navigate, but there are back-in as well as pull-through spots available. The pool and hot tub were always hopping-people seemed to enjoy those. They advertise having wi-fi, but it's terrible. Some people may not care about that, since you're going camping in the mountains. But if you're online reading reviews, I reckon you might want at least a little internet connectivity. It's there, but it's pretty slow. And the cellular data (I have T-Mobile) is nonexistent. It's a beautiful place, and once I get over my with drawl from being online, I'll find myself extremely relaxed and one with nature.

The boots are in great condition as well and the men in the shop are careful and knowledgable about how to fit each person to the best skis and best boots. They know what they are doing...and it's a comfort to know they are invested in skier safety. We have been a faithful customer for the past 3 years and feel so fortunate to have found them. They have a huge supply and I know they offer delivery service as well. I highly recommend this place!

While the nature is beautiful, the owners are a NIGHTMARE!! We were there for 2 years. In that…read moretime, the daughter first "ran" the place. Ultimately, she let the maintenance man run everything and turn the resort into his own personal playground. He closed one bathroom and one shower for his personal use in the off season. There are only 2 of each in the whole resort. Then he altered the water heater to the remaining shower so you would only get about 5 min of hot water. The daughter would harass all the longterm tenants. We weren't allowed to talk to our neighbors. We weren't allowed to tell anyone we lived there. We weren't allowed to have the basics outside (hang up wet swimwear, a fire pit, bikes, etc.) that anyone who was just spending the weekend would have. She would constantly tell us that she could get rid of us anytime. When the parents took over, they erased everyone's reservation and didn't inform us, putting our lots up for rent on the website. They doubled the rent a day before it was due. They harassed my autistic children by insulting me in front of them when I wasn't there, and chasing them out of a park-wide celebration. Whenever my kids dumped the waters, they would give them a sideways stare making my kids uncomfortable and one too scared to leave the RV. I even spoke to multiple people who were just staying the weekend, and they told me how terrible the owners have been to them. They have been telling us for years that they are getting sewer hookups. The site pictures even show sewer hookups, when there are none. Just a pipe cover in the ground. The resort is next to the water and the county will not allow sewer lines that close to the water. So, if they tell you hookups are coming soon, just know it's not true. DO NOT give your money to these people. This resort is run by a billionaire family who owns the mountain. They don't need the money and you don't need the headache. If you want a place to relax, you will not find it here.

I asked about putting my boot in bindings and said was not necessary. After riding to top of mountain in gondola I realized the bindings were never adjust (way too big) so had to ride back and return. Unsafe equipment and poorly trained staff. Skiers beware

The actual bathrooms 2 stalls and 3 showers.(Men's side/Women's side) Hopefully they renovate at some point. The shower stall is small, the curtains are way too high and let water out into the holding space for your things. All the locks for these stalls and shower stalls are broken or hard to close. Reason for this location pick was for the canal running in the back of the property. Water is my favorite element.

Great stop with full hookups in Utah. Super dog friendly. One note: we always try to leave camping sites cleaner than we got them, and each kid picks up ten pieces of trash. Most sites we stay at we don't need to pick up trash. Our RV site had pop can tabs, cigarette butts, and tiny pieces of trash. We picked them all up, despite not having made the trash, but just hope that people that stay in the future are cognizant of their own trash removal.

We've been AAA members for decades and used roadside assistance a few times. I've also used their…read morevehicle registration service a few times since it was very convenient. When I moved to Utah, I drove to the nearest office in Orem and had Utah plates in minutes. I was pleased with the service. I thought this was the convenience I was paying for since I didn't need to go to the DMV. I recently called the Orem office and asked what I needed to add my daughter to the registration on one of our vehicles. They said just just the registration, so I drove the 30 minutes to their office and quickly ran into a problem. They said I also needed my vehicle title. They said the employee should have told me that. It was going to be an hour round trip drive home to get the title, so I drove to the DMV in Provo in hopes it would save me from the drive, but it was unusually crowded. I drove home to get the title. I called AAA while driving home to ask another question (I certainly had the time). I explained my vehicle title was issued from my previous state, but my vehicle was registered here. The employee said that was not a problem, but to also bring proof of a smog check just in case. I got home, grabbed the paperwork, and got back on the road to Orem. Employees at the Orem office looked at my vehicle title (AKA pink slip) and couldn't figure out how I had registered my vehicle in Utah [through them], but still have a title out of a different state. I told them I had contacted the Utah DMV and they said the title didn't need to be changed. AAA employees made calls and checked different things but ended up telling me they couldn't add my daughter to the registration and I would need to go to the DMV. They suggested I make and appointment, which was helpful since it was so crowded. The employees were very nice and apologized numerous times for the issues, but this was a big hassle and employees I spoke with on the phone seemed to have no idea what they were doing. I made my appointment, drove to the DMV in Prove, and took a seat since I was quite early. My number was called just a few minutes later (and quite early). I explained the situation to the employee and gave her all the paperwork. She said it was no problem, her fingers were flying all over the keyboard, and I was walking out with the new vehicle registration just minutes later. On a side note, the DMV employee said it would take a couple weeks to get the new title, but I got it three business days later. Seeing as how the DMV is much better in this state than my previous state, I should have gone there in the beginning. Every other experience I had at the DMV here has been surprisingly pleasant. This is one reason to not have AAA. Just a few days later, my daughter needed a tow truck. I told her this is why we had AAA. I got to her work before her shift ended in order to have a tow truck soon after she was off work. I called and had to go through an annoying phone tree. Press this number, press that number, etc. It was extremely annoying. I then was "helped" by a virtual assistant (a computer). It was terrible. Close to an hour later, the text messages from AAA were still saying they were trying to find us a tow truck. Not that one delayed, but they had not yet even found one. I got jumper cables and got my daughter's car started. We left and I called AAA roadside assistance automated system to cancel the service. This was even more terrible since I was now driving and it wanted me to press different numbers on the keypad (at least they were on my dash). I choose the option to cancel. Several minutes later I received another text saying my request was being reviewed by a specialist since finding a tow truck was taking so long. I called back, went through the phone tree, and again cancelled the tow. It seemed to work this time. If you want AAA for the roadside assistance, you may want to first check and see if your credit card offers this. My Visa includes roadside assistance at no extra charge, and I will likely be using it should I need roadside assistance. I also may not be renewing AAA again next year. I just renewed last month, so I have close to year to think about it. One more strike and that's the end of our memberships. AAA - get rid of your terrible automated roadside system. When people need assistance and are possibly in a stressful situation, they don't want to deal with a phone tree and a computer. I was only dealing with a dead battery and your system still managed to make me quite angry. Your system made the situation worse. Is that what I am paying for?

I contacted the concierge at the Canyons re: transportation. They referred me to Snowbound Transportation. I immediately liked owner/operator Francisco Javellana when I spoke to him on the phone to make a reservation. I was traveling with a baby and a carseat so I had some concern about the type of vehicle we would have, the driver's abilities and wanting to ensure the driver would be ready for us on arrival. Francisco was easy to talk to and very professional. He was easy to trust and seemed very reliable. I requested text updates which he happily complied with. I received an immediate text confirmation a few minutes later and another the morning of our flight. On arrival (landed at 1am) I had an introductory text from our driver, Ronal. Our baby was fast asleep so I immediately called back hoping to ensure the driver would be available quickly. "No problem", I was told, and he promised to be right outside of Door 6 when we walked out. We gathered our luggage, literally turned around to see Door 6 behind us. We walked out and found our driver and car right there, easy to find and identifiable. "Ani?", he confirmed, as he expertly installed our carseat and quickly loaded the Ronal offered us chilled water and we were on our way by 1.15am. Our return flight was early morning as well. Our pickup was scheduled for 7am. At 6.53am, Ronal arrived and called to let me know he was waiting at the front of the hotel. Perfect! I had sent the luggage down early and was delighted as we walked out on a cold frozen morning with the baby to find the van warm and Carseat perfectly installed. Couldn't be happier! Definitely ask for Ronal!
