One thing that this place has above any other car company I have dealt with is excellent customer service. I had the privilege to deal with Chris the manager and also Ruben. They were both extremely pleasant and friendly. I went in on a Saturday and it was very busy and they were understaffed. I was so impressed with how Chris was able to maintain his composure and stay friendly when people were being snippy. The overall place does need some updating. I noticed trash on the floor and there were long wait times due to understaffing. On a positive, they are always quick to accommodate and switch out cars if necessary. I will continue to use them as my car rental of choice in Kalamazoo. No car rental is perfect but if I had to choose the most important thing to me it is always customer service. read more

Intrusive data collection. I had a reservation made and paid for by my insurance company. When I came to pick up I was asked who my employer is. I asked why this is needed, as my employer is not involved, and was told 'it's just data we collect.' I declined. The attendant then said I had to provide two emergency contacts. I am fairly certain no rental car company has ever asked me for an emergency contact before and am certain no business has ever required two. I shared the name and number for my wife. He continued to insist that a second emergency contact was required to continue. I declined and was told I would not be able to rent a car without a second emergency contact. They were comfortable downgrading me from a faulty minivan to a compact car, but when the time came for me to switch back to a minivan they would not do it. I reserved a car via their website in the morning, but 30 mins prior - they called me that they had nothing available. Mind you, this was 3 hours after the reservation was placed. When I asked why it was available online in the phone call - the person said "well you placed the reservation last minute". I get its last minute, but when you need a car due to a flat tire - it wasn't meant to be on purpose. Never will I be using Enterprise again. read more

We needed roadside assistance for a lockout and they have a foreign call center. It's been hours. They sent the locksmith to a different city an hour away. They are not communicative and we had to call for an ETA. Absolutely the worst service imaginable. read more

The employees here are friendly and efficient. However, the choices for cars here are awful. They are never clean, they smell horrendous, and usually have some sort of small problem...low tire pressure, key fob battery is low, or it's on empty. ALL of which I dealt with today. I took my rented car back this morning because of some of these issues and my husband was told last night that I would be getting a brand new car with only 8,000 miles on it. But I had to be there first thing when they open. I was there first thing and still didn't get what I was promised. (Im sure if it had been my husband picking up the car, the case would have been different, but that's an entirely different issue) In fact the car I got was definitely a downgrade from the one I traded in, but it didn't smell as bad! My own car is in the shop for at least another few weeks while we try to get it fixed and I'll need to be in a rental in the meantime, so I don't really have another option. read more

Roadside assistance? Uh, no. Left my husband on the side of the highway for over 5hrs, flat tire, and no one showed up! 430am, I had to wake up and go get him myself, leave the truck on the side of the road and hope for the best. Customer service told us to call the police to pick him up, seriously? There were NO major accidents, bad weather (48°) or anything going on the scanner for no tow truck to show up. Absolutely uncalled for, let alone very dangerous for anyone this late at night. There was nothing wrong with that truck, besides tire, when we left it and will not take any responsibility if anything happens while we are at home now trying to get some rest. read more

This review is not to tell my story but to voice poor representation of an organization and mistreatment of a paying customer. The way I was treated by Brad, Katrina and all other reps was distasteful. As a leader or representative of a professional business, Brad should have implied and upheld customer service and values of the organization. I was treated poorly and I hope no other person is treated in this demeanor. I used this enterprise after getting into an automobile accident this winter commuting to Kalamazoo, MI. I put trust and money into this company outside of my state farm coverage to insure a safe vehicle. After returning my vehicle, I was charged for additional days that my insurance did not cover. When I went into pay the bill, I was greeted by Brad. Brad refused to allow me to speak to my representative, Katrina, who observed the entire interaction along with other enterprise representatives and customers. After I asked to speak to Katrina or wait to speak to her, Brad approached me in a dominate and aggressive demeanor stating that she could not speak to me. Not only did he raise his voice, use an aggressive tone while speaking towards me, he refused service. I asked for his name and filed a complaint with corporate. read more

The finish date on my car changed 3 times and each time it was a smooth process to extend the rental. They even allowed me to leave the car at the bodyshop and they picked it up. Friendly service but not good car selection, in fact I was not given an option. The car I got was dependable but not clean. It had been washed but the seats were stained and the windshield and back window were dirty and streaked. It was very difficult to see when driving at night with headlights shining towards me or driving with lower sun position. This is a safety hazard. The employees should ensure cars are clean and safe prior to leasing. Also I did not get an option of a full tank of gas (like I get at the airport store). It is difficult to get the gas gage back to where it was when I picked the car up. I will not use this location again. read more

We booked a cargo van online on a Sunday for the Tuesday 4pm. We then set up different appointments to pick up furniture the Tuesday evening. Enterprise called us Tuesday at noon/1pm to tell us the cargo van is not available, they can provide a family van or reschedule. I can understand that a particular vehicule is not available, not that they let us know a couple of hours only before the appointment. And when I asked them to send me an email explaining they were unable to provide the booked vehicule and they told us 3 hours before, they simply refused. So they are unprofessional and try to cover themselves by refusing to give written evidence of their mistakes. read more

My wife had a deer run into our brand new car Luckily we have rental on our insurance. So we have used enterprise in the past and never had issues and decided to try them again. We met there to get the rental car and had to do the normal inspection on a Toyota Camry which I ended up telling the young man to just write down that the whole car had scratches and or dents. I told him just write down every fender door etc. My wife started to put her stuff in and realized the whole interior was wet as if they left the windows down and ran it through a car wash. So after we got the car dry she headed home ... only to get about 4 miles down the road and the tire had a flat. At this time the store was closed, so she called the roadside assistance and explained to the lady what had happened and was told to leave the car and take the keys. Which I thought was odd. This was after a long explanation of why she wasn't going to sit in the vehicle waiting for who knows how long for a tow truck. The tow company ended up at our house 2.5 hours later to get the key. We went back to Stadium drive Enterprise in the morning and they were apologetic and actually gave her a upgrade to a new Cadillac. Which was great. We ended having the vehicle for over 30 days which our insurance paid for. 3 months later we got a bill for $360.00 which was from their damage recovery stating that it was for damages to the car and towing from Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids. So I called the Damage Recovery and they said I had to call the place where we rented from so... I called Stadium drive Enterprise where we rented the car and they said there was nothing they could do and to call a different department which upon calling they said I had to call Damage Recovery. This went on for about a week and I was told a few times that a regional manager would be contacting me which never happened. They sent us letters stating we haven't responded about the claim, wanting me to turn it into my insurance and on the same day a letter from the same person stating they were looking into it. We finally 3weeks later after me telling them how I felt about the situation get a letter stating they have made the decision to take care of the damages and cost of the claim. Lol. Needless to say I'll be checking with my insurance company to make sure they didn't pay for the upgrade since they were so sorry we had to go through a flat tire on their beat up Camry. We just rented a car from Avis and they were awesome!! Unfortunately since not one of the Enterprise departments actually gave a sincere apology for there lack of communication and just general competence of the situation, they won't ever get the opportunity to have our business. read more

They regularly go above and beyond to build relationships with their customers, and they always provide top-notch service. I've rented from other locations a handful of times (for various reasons) and I've always been underwhelmed by the lack of enthusiasm and willingness to help from their staff. "We pick you up" but they won't take you back to your car! I needed to leave my car at a repair shop for a full day, and I also needed to get back and forth to work. I dialed the phone number for the Stadium Dr. location, which appears to be a local number. The man who answered was definitely not a local. When I told him I needed to be picked up in Paw Paw, he said that they only go 5 miles for picking up. When I stated that I have used them before for the same type of thing, he said ok. He asked when I would be returning the rental car and I said it would be the next day. I asked, just to confirm, "I bring the rental car back to your office, then you take me back to the repair shop, right?" His answer was, "Oh, no, ma'am, we don't do that." My next question was, "Do I leave the rental at the repair shop?" And his reply was, "Oh, no, ma'am, you bring the car back to the office where you picked it up." "And how do I get back to my car?" I queried. "You take a taxi, ma'am." WELL, IF I COULD TAKE A TAXI, I WOULDN'T NEED A RENTAL CAR!!!! Good Grief! I've used Enterprise in the past for the same type of thing and it went without a hitch. Apparently their policies have changed. Thank Goodness I asked to confirm, otherwise I woulda been stranded on Stadium Drive in Kalamazoo without a ride back to Paw Paw. I ended up using Public Transit which supports my local community and only cost 4 bucks. read more

They rent vehicles that are literally falling apart smelling like smoke and god knows what else. The service is sub par at best. They over charged me once and now they changed their policy to not allow anything other than major credit and debit cards which of course keeps lower class people out. I don't think I'll ever rent from this location again. 1st rental they were late picking me up and couldn't stop talking long enough for me to give them correct location. 2nd rental was decent, 3rd rental smelled of marijuana so bad I had to cancel plans and return the car. 4th rental they upgraded at no cost and car seemed fine, but by evening the smell of marijuana got more and more intense. I bought cleaning products to try to hide the smell but it didn't work. How they disguise the smell is bringing the car around with air on full blast so you smell whatever they sprayed but as soon as you turn down the air or turn off and the car is closed up the smell returns. I had to vacuum out the car, clean the windows, etc. when you tell them about your experience they look at you with fake sympathy and apologize and move on eager to charge your credit card. They use to be the best rental company, now they are a joke. Even the inside of the facility is falling apart, which is a reflection on the type of car you will get, and how the company has fallen. I would not recommend renting from them. A free one day rental of the same bad service and raggedy car does not equal customer satisfaction. Its actually insulting. read more

Do NOT use Enterprise. I have had the worst customer service EVER. I rented a nice vehicle and turned it in mid-July. Around the end of July, I received a notification that my Discover card had been charged $30 from Enterprise. This was two weeks after I had turned in the vehicle. When calling this specific location to discuss why I was charged $30, the man told me that he does not have time for this issue and all he can tell me is that it is for tolls. I asked to speak with his manager and his manager was not available. He took a message for me and stated his manager would call me back in a little bit. A few days pass and I NEVER received a call from this "manager" regarding the unauthorizated charge on my card. At this point, the only thing that I could do is call the corporate office. After speaking with the corporate office, they informed me that the $30 charge was for a parking ticket, not tolls like the previous representative stated. I did receive a parking ticket while renting the car. The ticket was paid 3 days after the ticket was issued. I was told I have to submit a receipt that I made the payment for the parking citation and they would then refund my money. I called corporate again to ask where I need to send my receipt and to express my concerns about the unauthorized payment and the representative was cold and rude. Once I was getting nowhere with her, I asked to speak with her manager. I expressed my concern to the manager Ryan Gates and he told me that this is how his business operates and essentially all of my concerns are not valid or meaningful. The customer service is TERRIBLE. Even talking to a manager was awful. I could not believe that my concerns about an unauthorized payment to my card were not heard. Not only was the payment not authorized, I was NOT notified via Enterprise as to why I was being charged. I was forced to jump through 20 hoops in order to get an answer as to why they are taking my money from my account two weeks after I had turned in the rental vehicle and three weeks after the citation was issued. You have been warned. Do not trust these people! read more

You'll need to actually drive back to the store if you have a question about your rental or agreement . On more than one occasion I have been on hold for 20 minutes . Currently renting because my truck is in the shop. The first vehicle they gave me smelled "wet" like it was cleaned but not allowed to air dry. It was not properly cleaned, seats dirty and cereal in between the seats. Driver side seat panel was broken & coming off and the clock display kept going out, couldn't see the time or tune the radio station. I called the next morning to let them know I wanted to exchange. They said "no problem" I told them what type of vehicle I wanted, but when I got there late that evening they offered me something different. It was an upgrade but when I opened the door it smelled like weed & cigarettes. I declined. Told them again what I would like. As the guy was "not" checking on my request, I over heard another sales rep, giving my vehicle of choice to someone who had just walked in. My rep then escorted me to another vehicle different from my preference. That one was a major step up, but the tire wells on both sides were coming unglued. I accepted the vehicle and the guy wrote the damages on his sheet. This enterprise rents crappy vehicles. read more

I had the pleasure of renting a Nissan from the Stadium Dr. location. The car smelled of dog and had film of dirt on the plastic parts of the interior. The worst part is that the drivers seat was not bolted down completely. This made the seat move when braking and accelerating. An insincere 15% off my next car rental. wow.... read more
