Waited for 2 hours watching three more vehicles being returned and cleaned and noone but me to pick up! De'Andre told me to go home, he will call me! Spent $50 on uber/lift waited until 4:45 pm and no call! Called the key largo location, De'Andre picked up and was like he is eating something not paying attention to the conversation! Asked me where am I?! Can I be there in 5 minutes before they close?! MAYBE there is a vehicle for me! Please invest in employee training! Otherwise company will be loosing money! Drove by the next morning, before they open, all of the returns were parked there! So my reservation and my personal comfort and safety were sabotaged by this employee! Two years in a row I have rented a car at least two weeks in advance and I get there at the time scheduled and they do not have the car. They did not bother to call other locations or try to help me at all. I will never rent from this location or Enterprise again. Go to Budget/Avis at MM97, they actually have customer service skills. read more

awful! rented a vehicle for a quick one way trip from KL to Ft. Lauderdale, had the car less than 4 hours and returned it the same day to the Enterprise location at Bahia Mar hotel at FL beach. The car wasn't picked up from this location for 2 weeks and the Key Largo location is charging me for the ENTIRE 2 weeks they did not pick up the car! Currently disputing with my credit card as the KL location was completely obnoxious and refused to assist. Called the customer service line for Enterprise multiple times, equally unhelpful. If I had read the other reviews I would have gone elsewhere. DO NOT USE!!! 0/5 would not recommmend!!! read more

A+++ We rented a truck from them on two occasions, both were brand new. They are reasonably priced and very helpful. It's not a big rental office but works just fine for Key Largo. The staff is great and we highly recommend them! read more

I made a car reservation 3 days in advance. Being just over a 1-hour drive from MIA, you'd imagine they'd be able to have a car ready for you to pick up. **They did NOT.** To top things off there's a sign posted on the door about closing at noon, even though their online hours states 1 pm, and it still does. Luckily the manager was at the store to explain the situation, she was very cordial about the whole thing, even with our frustration. She did blame corporate for the situation. The whole ordeal was very Seinfeld, "See, you know how to make the reservation, you just don't know how to hold the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them." I don't know-how, in 2020, a car rental company doesn't have better inventory control. I mean you'd think they'd rather rent a car than leave it sitting in the lot. We ended up having to call Budget who was further down the road, luckily we were able to call before they closed and he was nice enough to wait for us to get there. read more

Called local number and got national call center asked for drop off and after a half an hour of questions she said "thank your all set" and hung up. Never asked for address to drop off vehicle. Received email confirmation that was to pick up at local Enterprises location. Not what I ordered!!! Tried calling back and was disconnected three times after long wait on hold. Finally canceled reservations on line. Disappointed with experience. Will use Uber instead. read more

I made a reservation online to pick up a car at this location at noon Saturday. When I made the reservation there was no indication that it closed at noon. I arrived promptly at noon and the door was locked and the lights out. When I called enterprise's one 800-number the person was very unhelpful and told me to call another location to find a car. Unfortunately the other location was 40 miles away and I was stuck in Key Largo. Bottom line? I will not use Enterprise again. read more

This will actually be 2 reviews. The first is of our experience with National Car Rental and the car we got from the Ft Lauderdale airport. The second is of our experience with Enterprise in Key Largo, and Hector, the manager at the Key Largo location that helped us get a safe replacement car. The white Toyota Camry looked good when we picked it up after arriving on the early afternoon of Friday April 15 at the Fort Lauderdale airport for our vacation. The problem with the car became evident when we got on the highway. Above 45 MPH, the rear driver side tire had the distinctive sound of tread separation. I have worked on my own cars for years, and know from experience that tread separation has a distinctive sound and is very dangerous - many blowouts start this way. The ONE STAR review here is for National in Fort Lauderdale. The possibility of a blowout on Miami highways at speed with my family in the car was an absolute non starter. How National let this car out for use is beyond me, but I wouldn't even let someone *borrow* a car of mine with such a problem. So we nursed it slow to Key Largo, and I got on the phone to National. I was directed to reach either the small Enterprise shop at Key Largo, or head to Homestead for a 2 hour or more errand with the usual uncertainty and screwing around - not the way to spend a vacation AT ALL. So National let Enterprise in Key Largo (Alamo, Enterprise and National are all the same company) know I'd be going in, which was about 5 miles down the road on this Saturday morning about an hour before closing. Hector was at the desk. I asked and he told me that they are a family owned franchise. I realized that they since they had no part in causing the problem with the car, they would be helping us out with no real benefit to them. This is where Enterprise in Key Largo earns 5 STARS. He only had a Chrysler minivan left on Saturday (not great at all for us), but he did suggest I check in early in the week after the Easter holiday for the returns he expected. Went back in on Tuesday (after an epic diving day Monday - glad we could walk to Amoray for the dive boat), and there was another Toyota Camry virtually identical to our problem car available. I think Hector said that was an Alamo return, and so would have some paperwork to get it moved around for us to take. He figured out the minimum to get us on the road, and we were gone about 10 minutes later. There were a few people in front of us, and it looked like the other people in the office were getting them taken care of quickly. Just noting that the Enterprise sign / shop (on the Atlantic side) is only barely visible from the southbound / opposite side of the Overseas Highway - traveling north, which is the only way to actually pull into the facility - the sign is literally impossible to see. Probably a problem with Key Largo zoning signage restrictions... stupid bureaucracies, right?... I am mostly just tired at best of dealing with big, stupid companies, and National / Enterprise / Alamo appears to be just that. Regardless of how irresponsible it was for them to let an unsafe car on the road, the phone support was actually good, and its clear that Hector and people like him are what make things work in spite of the Corporation's failings. The facility at Key Largo looks a bit rough, but the people there have earned my respect. Betting this story is not unique - so I gotta say: NATIONAL - if it weren't for good people like this covering your suit wearing a$$e$ - there would be some worse things to say - ugly things like accident, lawsuit, etc. I expect to this conversation to continue with National, because we got a whole load of risk and hassles that were most unwelcome and not what we paid for. Don't rely on this company to come to you, second time I have rented from them and I've been told the same story no one here but me. Always the same response can you take an Uber or get a ride to us. Annay(probably spelled her name wrong) was very nice and helpful. We rented a car for a day which we had to return later the next day. We went scubadiving the next day and knew we were going to be late returning the car, so annay helped us out by waiving the late fee. We did not book ahead of time. It was a walkin so im not sure how that gets handled, but our experience was great. read more

Reserved a Large SUV (Tahoe or similar) at this Enterprise location back on July 18 to move my Daughter to college tomorrow (August 19). Went to pick up the Large SUV today at noon but when I pulled up I noticed there were no large SUVs on the lot. I went in to see if they had it around back and was told all they had was a Traverse (Medium SUV at best); when I explained it was not going to be large enough, I was told this is all they had...even though the agent could clearly see the reservation was made a month in advance. When I asked him to check additional locations he stated they had none and nothing he could do...again, even when he could see the reservation was made a month in advance. I then called their Corporate office and asked to speak to Management and was directed toward one; when I explained the situation he states he would contact the Regional Manager to get a quick resolution. At this time I still have not heard a word from Enterprise Upper Management! Great customer service out of a company that I use (or used to), every time I traveled for business and personal! read more

The car I rented was absolutely filthy inside & out. They washed it quickly before I drove off the lot but it needed a good detail. They couldn't print out any rental information for me because there printer was down. I was waiting to find the perfect car to purchase so I needed to keep this car longer than expected. One representive gave me a good deal for another week; another representive when I called again didn't want to match it & didn't give me a deal. Poor service. read more

I had a wonderful experience here. My car had been totaled and the insurance was paying for the car rental. I called and said I would be there around 2. I got there on time and there were two people ahead of me. There was only 1 employee working so I had to wait a bit. When it was my turn I was told there was only 1 vehicle left. Great. A 2015 silver mustang convertible. Oh, that's not so bad ;) even though it's the typical "I'm a tourist in the Florida Keys" car. They even called to tell me that my insurance company only approved 3 days instead of 30 (funny, my insurance didn't bother to tell me) also they let me keep the car 4 additional days after the 30 for a lower price because of my situation. The staff was friendly and efficient, I would highly recommend this location. read more

The young woman was very helpful and patient. This is a small office with a small selection of vehicles. But we are a tourist area. Most people rent at the airport or want convertible or other impractical cars for the area. But we were happy with our experience. We are glad to have an enterprise here in key largo. read more

Be very careful about turning in your car on Saturday evening. They will tell you to just drop the keys in the lock box, but we got charged for use on Sunday. Enterprise contacted me and apologized and took care of the overcharge. Juan Carlos was friendly and withstood my "venting" with good humor...the mark of an excellent representative! Horrible, horrible customer service. They stole over $450 from me, lied constantly, and required me to expend dozens of hours of my own time and massive amounts of stress to get the issue resolved and money returned. It took over three months from start to finish, but my stolen funds were finally refunded with little apology. Claudia, manager in training at the Key Largo branch, has no business managing anything and will outright lie to you to get your card on file which they will then charge whatever they want to charge it thinking there are no customer repercussions. I have absolutely no idea how Enterprise stays in business. I flew into Ft Lauderdale where I reserved a car 5+ months ago. When I arrived they said "sorry, all our cars are sold out and will likely be for the rest of the week." I was livid but went ahead and paid almost $200 to Uber down to Key Largo with my Fiancée and 5 month old. I waited until the following Monday to check and see if they had cars. I was surprised but encouraged to hear they did. I gave all my information, got a price, and was told I could pick up at noon (in an hour) as there were cars ready to go. A few moments later I got a call saying "sorry, no cars here, well call you back by 2:30 at the latest if we have a car for you or not". I wasn't happy but what else could I do? Here I sit at 4pm and no call, which seems to be typical based on other reviews. This has really put a damper on our entire trip as we have had to Uber to the grocery store and anywhere else with a baby. Enterprise is TRULY the worst in the business and this location is a prime example of their incompetence. If 0 stars was a choice you'd get that! read more
