I rented a car one way from Maryland to Keyport, NJ. My car broke down in Maryland. I drove it straight up to NJ. The Keyport Enterprise called me wanting to know when I can return the car because they had "someone looking for this model to rent". I returned the car a couple hours early only to have the rep tell me "there is noticable damage to the rear tire well" . I said I don't see anything. She said there is a "gap". I Still couldn't see any obvious damage. She said she would have to notify the Maryland store and pulled out a flimsy ruler and took pictures. The car I rented had over 36k miles. I looked 4 times at the "gap" and it's was minuscule. Not noticeable unless you are 2 inches away at the base of the wheel well. I took pictures from 12 inches away and you can't see anything. I don't know what type of business they are running here. I have rented from them a few times, but now I am not sure if I can rent or even recommend Enterpeise to anyone. read more

DONT COME HERE!!! This place is a DUMP they treat the customers like garbage, they don't care about our happiness at all. I came here to rent a car after someone rear ended my Audi Q3 on the parkway, they gave me THE WORST car that they had in place. It was a nasty Sentra with old stickers all over it, less than half a tank of gas, the car smelt disgusting and most importantly- it drove HORRIBLY I did not feel safe in it. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the people they couldn't have cared less. I went back the next day gave the car back and went to Hertz on route 35 where they actually took care of me and put me in a SAFE, clean Toyota Camry. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Unless you want to get treated horribly like your safety and satisfaction mean nothing to them. Go to Hertz on 35. Trust me. read more

The service was terrible. There was zero ambiance at the place and the customer service was subpar. Picked up at the repair shop after dropping off my car. Arrived at the rental agency and was told that their were no comparable cars for the rate class of my insurance carrier. While the were able to secure a midsize sedan at another location, I was pressed for time and took the vehicle offered originally; Dodge Ram. The exterior was dirty and the tank was on a quarter. Suffice to say the vehicle sat in my driveway all week as it's like a tank on the road. I attempted to exchange and again they didn't have "any cars!" My third time renting with the Keyport Enterprise in the past 5 years. They have always been extremely accommodating, helpful and courteous. Today's rental unfortunately was due to an accident and they were so great working with our insurance company in giving us a good rate. I called today to request our reservation moved up a day. We needed a car one day ahead of schedule, they had a car ready when promised and came to get us rather quickly. The car was clean and tank full. So far we have had only good experiences with all aspects of customer service and would definitely recommend this Enterprise. read more

I left my wallet on top of the car I rented back in June, thought it had fallen off during my one mile drive to return it. Turns out Enterprise found the wallet, jacked $74 from it and didn't call me about it until today, September 14th -- TWO AND A HALF MONTHS LATER! Also, I received the car when the gas tank was half full, when I returned it Enterprise charged me to fill it up all the way, instead of half way. Thanks! read more

This place is only getting 2 stars because of Ryan and Josh. Ryan was very helpful throughout the process. I work in homecare so I have tons of equipment and supplies in my car. Ryan offered to help transfer my supplies from car to car. Josh called me to check on how the vehicle was. I originally got a Mazda 3 from them but the car was way too light to drive, I was blowing all over the parkway. I called Ryan, and he said he had no problem giving me another vehicle. Brought the vehicle in. Ryan was busy so I had to deal with another associate. The car was replaced with a Malibu. This car has multiple cigarette burn marks, it smells like smoke. I don't know how the associate did not smell this in the car. As soon as he rolled down the windows, I knew a smoker had been in the car. This associate didn't off to help me transfer my supplies or equipment. Now I have the luxury of driving with the windows down to prevent getting a headache from this disgusting odor and my clothes smelling like cigarettes. Also, tanks aren't full, the associates do not walk around the vehicle to check the vehicle with you for damages etc. Ryan offered me a clean car and Josh did not allow me to leave without washing the exterior of the Mazda. I would bring this Malibu back but it's more of a hassle. This place is dirty and very sketchy. I have never had issues with other Enterprise's or even a dirty vehicle. read more

Location is dirty and reps are sketchy with used car salesmen attitude. In other words... don't trust the place!! The vehicle service light was on when started and it does need service!! Shimmied, pulled left and the engine made knocking pinging noises. For a 2018 with 21k miles on it, this car has been abused. The rep said 'the oil service light wasn't reset.' . Whatever. read more

Teresa is awesome! Super friendly from start to finish, handled my transaction thoroughly and timely. (I was in the middle of moving when my car broke down and I needed a rental). She worked with me to find a car that would be helpful (a gorgeous SUV). I mean above and beyond- gave me cliff notes on the car operations (I was really in a rush), put the seats down, explained the rental documents, took time to say a few words of encouragement. I have been renting cars from Enterprise - Keyport for years. They are an approved rental company with my employer and I am always treated well. Even if I do not rent a car for months, they remember me. What a treat these days. The cars are always clean and run well. Probably the BEST feature is that I no longer have to ask my wife to drop me off at the store to pick up my rental and when I return it, Enterprise will bring me back home. That's awesome! read more

I usually have great experiences with renting from enterprise, however, the keyport branch has a dirty office, and unreliable vehicles. They gave us a vehicle with NO window washer fluid, SHAKY steering wheel, and the change oil light was on the whole 4 days of my rental. I rent from the Enterprise in Keyport about once a month for business. They always treat me great and I have never had a problem with them. The only problem I ever had was that they are only open until Noon on Saturday and closed on Sunday. That means CRAZY wait times in their lobby if you need to pick up a car on the weekend. I don't typically post negative reviews. I feel most often there are better ways to deal with the issue. However, in this case I have not received a response from The Keyport Enterprise, nor Travelocity, through which I booked my rental. To set the stage, it was the end of the day, I drove 1/2 an hour to get to the keyport location, and i needed the car. First problem Travelocity pricing for rentals from the Keport Enterprise clearly states that all Fees ARE INCLUDED in the total price. They are not. My fee and taxes totaled close to $100 on a 10 day rental. Second problem, the transaction is done on an ipad, not paper. An extra charge for road side assistance was in my bill. I did not check it as an option. I have AAA, why would I, as I commented to the associate. Another $55. My message, PLEASE REVIEW YOUR AGGREEMENT The car Reaked of air freshener to the point that we had to leave the windows open for 24 hrs a day for 4 days. Like I said, neither Enterprise, nor Travelocity has responded to me. read more

Polite staff and they do pick you up but service can be slow. Checking out took a while and they inspect the car when youre ready to get in the car! Another client had to wait for the car to be cleaned. Obviously they should have done it earlier. And they offered to add gas but that took 15 minutes when i was trying to get to work. My rental was ok a cadillac xts but its brakes were worn. They tried to upsell a insurance policy to me which wasnt necessary. They were ok but sure other rental places would be better. read more

Got rear ended, I was the front car in a three car pile up while sitting at a traffic light. I went to Enterprise to get a rental while my car was being fixed per the auto insurance company's go ahead. I got the 'insurance' on the car because I would assume that the auto insurance would want that. Said this to the guy who had me initial for it. Turns out the insurance company won't pay for it because you are covered already for rentals. Enterprise refused to waive the $650 bill for their insurance but should have since their employee failed to tell me the auto insurance wouldn't cover that charge and I was already insured for rentals through my own auto insurance. I ended up paying $650 to have my car depricate faster and have my life interrupted. Would NEVER use them again! read more

I rented a car from Keyport Enterprise while my car was being repaired for flood damage. I did not have a reservation, (which you always should) but called on a Monday morning at 8:15 AM and was told they would send someone to the dealership to pick me up at 8:30. The driver showed up exactly on time as promised and was polite and personable. When I got to the Enterprise location, people were waiting, phones were ringing and the team there handled everything and everyone with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. I was out the door in under 15 minutes with a brand new Mazda CX-9 that was in pristine condition. My drop off went just as smoothly. I settled the bill, was given a ride back to the dealership, again, in about 15 minutes total. I will definitely rent from this Enterprise again. I rented a car for one day. The enterprise guy forced me to take insurance which I declined. My mistake was I did not thoroughly inspect the car. When I returned the car the same guy who forced me to take insurance discovered a small dent for which he immediately filed a damage claim. The dent may or may not have been caused while I rented the car but this cost me $500 + the rental for a day. This is my worst experience in 20+ years of renting a car. Please be very careful while renting from this location and thoroughly inspect your vehicle by taking pics and videos before renting. I think I was penalized for not taking their insurance. read more

i have used enterprise several times a year and never had a problem like i did at the KEYPORT, NJ location,,,,, i resv. a premium sedan, well why i got there they thought i would have been happy w a conv camero... NOTTTTTT.... That is not the car i wanted.... if i wanted a conv i would have order a conv.... then i was told they cant guarantee the type of car you resv. i said they why make a resv. so i ended up w a Tahoe NOT what i wanted cuz i knew i was doing a lot of miles... so now I'm trying to get a refund and i have been waiting since Friday for a call back HORRIBLE SERVICE....
