He didn't even tell me that he knew the guy he just said, "try this place. He has great cars. He backs up his work and I know you'll like him." Let me tell you he was right on. I was looking for a first car for my Son. I took My trusted mechanics advice, and I went to JIA. I'm a veteran bartender for over 40 years and I think I can read people really well and from the handshake, I just liked the guy. Sometimes people love what they do and that passion comes through. It is evident when you speak to Him. I've been swindled a couple of times and both by dealerships so I was very wary this time. I bought the car in January and waited to post to see if there were any issues. There was ONE! The cd player did not work. Now, this is a cd player! Of course no one checked because no one uses Cd's, but my kid is a musician and an old soul and has 500 of my old CD's. When I relayed that to Greg- the guy found a cd player on line and INSTALLED it for my kid. Do yourself a favor if you are done with shady people and shitty business practices. They wouldn't negotiate on the sticker price on the lot, saying the "condition of the car was factored into the price." Yeah right! If that was the case, the car should have cost about $400. You can believe them, or you can believe me - we're both strangers to you. But I promise you: they will sell you a crap car, lie to your face while doing it, then lie to you more when you tell them they sold you a crap car. Throughout those discussions, we believed the deal was moving toward completion. When financing became necessary, I agreed to co-sign so we could move forward with the purchase. After Shin's credit was pulled, we expected to continue with the financing process. Instead, he went online the following morning and discovered that the price of the vehicle had been increased by $50,000 to $500,000 without anyone from J&S Auto House notifying us or giving us the opportunity to complete the transaction under the original terms. The most disappointing part wasn't just the significant price increase--it was the lack of communication and transparency. Watching Shin take a hard inquiry on his credit only to find out afterward that the price had changed was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
