I called and made a reservation for a car when my car broke down at 4:30pm on August 18, 2026. They said they would send a car to pick me up. I said ok. My office is about maybe 5 minutes from the rental office. I waited in the parking lot of my office. At 5:15 pm still hadn't got picked up. I called waited on hold for 10 minutes then hung up. 5:45 I called again, finally got someone, and was told I would be picked up shortly, they had my phone number and location. I said, " your office is closing soon, you're going to pick me up?" They said yes that " shortly someone was coming". 6pm came and went, I waited. I called back no one would answer. I called customer service and they said the office is closed and they called and no response. There was nothing no one could do. Had to call my wife who was 45 minutes away to leave her work to come and get me. I have called and I have been told someone would reach out to me regarding this and I have yet to hear from the management, very sad. I have used this location several times but never Enterprise again. read more

Vehicle was filthy with a strong deodorizer . By the time I drove it about 10 miles the deodorizer wore off and then the putrid cigarette smoke was prominent . I just don't get it why the company thinks this acceptable. Now have to waste my time switching it out read more

Kienan was OUTSTANDING!! Our Mercades Benz was needing a new water pump. When The Dealership said it wasn't going to be done on Friday, they told us to come over here to Rent a Car! Great Idea!! From the Second we walked in, they welcomed us and assisted us with A Rental. We worked with Kienan. He was On top of his game, his customer service was TOP NOTCH!! Making renting a car exciting, enjoyable and Fast for my Husband and I!! He went the extra mile to make sure we got the Dealership rate! He was accommodating, and personable!! He really knows the ins and out of this work, and his job. We were impressed, and the process was VERY Smooth. After signing the paperwork and crossing out T's and Dotting our I's, Kienan got us all set up in a clean, pristine, smooth driving 2025 Nissan Altima!! Such a great Car!! The sound system was incredible, plenty of room for our little guy-(when we traveled to Kentucky) and Spacious room for my Husband to Even run some Calls for our Business!! This review has nothing to do with any particular Enterprise outlet. The review concerns, the corporation Enterprise Car Rentals. I rented a car in Raleigh NC and decided to return it to Asheville to take a flight out of Asheville instead of Raleigh. The contract had a price of $1047 for 14 days. After situations changed and we went to Knoxville, I decided to fly out of Knoxville instead of Asheville. No problem changing flights on Delta. However, when I called Enterprise and asked to have my car return location changed to Knoxville, TN from Asheville, North Carolina, they quoted me an additional cost of $3400. This not only borders on the insanely ridiculous, but I would call it highway robbery. Suffice it to say I will no longer use enterprise as a car rental option. Had a very quick in and out experience picking up my rental yesterday. The location opens at 1 on a Sunday but they actually opened up a bit early seeing customers already milling about outside. I was in a bit of a rush so the expedited service was appreciated. After the fact I had a question about my transaction and my husband called in for clarification. Absolutely the worst excuse for customer service of any business I deal with. Anyone who rents from Enterprise knows that they're at their website and they're telephone operators are wrong 90% of the time. If you want to reserve a vehicle with enterprise better, Call speak to a person at the local branch. Dozens of times I have had a confirmed reservation on the Enterprise app, only to get a phone call later, but that vehicle is not available and that the app is wrong. I have also found dozens of times it when the app told me there was not a vehicle available and I called the local store that they're actually was a vehicle available. This is obviously an enterprise issue. So now, if the app says there's no vehicle the best thing to do is just call the local store. It's actually best to call them anyway because even if the app says there is a vehicle and gives you a confirmation that doesn't mean there is one. So I called this location to tell the lady I would like for her to check on car availability for me before I could get another word in. She just immediately transferred me to the call center who has the exact same information that I already had. I know what the call center is going to say I'm looking at the app on my phone. But I also know that they happen to call-center are wrong the majority of the time. So then I called back and get a gentleman and I tell him that I need a passenger van. He says we only rent those out of one location now you have to call them. I said well there about three on your lot that I'm looking at right now can you just rent me one of those. He said no, we're trying to get rid of them all. And he reiterated that only one location in The in Area Rent passenger van. So I get back on the app and there are at least five locations in the area that rent passenger vans from enterprise. Why is it that no one at enterprise including Enterprise themselves ever has the correct answer to any question about their service? read more

Needed to pick up a car to drive to Atlanta pick up was scheduled curbside at 8am it's now 8:20 am my flight is at 1:00 pm and this will clearly put me behind. I realize that people are doing the best they can with staffing however things like this are time sensitive for people like me and 30-45 min or an hour can make a huge difference. I would like to see better service at this location or at the very least warm customers of having to wait extended times that could cause delayed plans. read more

Though my van was not cleaned prior to pick up (due us getting on the road, I chose not to wait for a cleaning) the staff handled things with professionalism. I got some credits as well. I rented 2 cars there this summer. The first car was a bit worse for wear. The tires were noisy, the trunk didn't shut right, and the paint had big globs of something on it. When I I returned the car, I told them of the trunk issues and the loud tires. They immediately looked into it and agreed. Then they gave me a discount (which was unexpected). Never used Enterprise but will from now on. Our car broke down and was under warranty so our car rental was being paid for by Honda. This is a well run business with outstanding courteous employees. From the unbelievably kind man who picked us up from Honda to the young man who checked us in, they really made all the difference  making our situation a bit easier. The young man even said how sorry he was that our car broke down and that we had to go through this. What?!? Wish I got their names. He didn't even try to push all those added extras car rental companies try to force on you that everyone loathes. Our car was clean and ran great. This location is a joke, and I highly recommend you look elsewhere if you are in need of customer service. I rented an suv from another location with no problems. After a few days, I decided I no longer needed the daily protection plan. So I (unfortunately) drove with my two daughters to this location to have it removed... A rep inspects the roof, and notices damage on it. He rudely and accusingly asks me what the story is, I tell him I don't know, and that I have not put anything on the roof. He tells me, rudely, that he won't remove the protection. Confused (and annoyed at his rude demeanor), I ask why, and he explains that I will be held liable for the damages. So, further annoyed at the company and situation, I am a bit frustrated, and say a few negative comments about the company, nothing personal. The employee then totally lost it on me. Came within inches of my face (rude and unacceptable even without a global pandemic going on), and demanded that I give him the keys. This of course upset and scared my children. I said no, and then he says it again, somewhat more calmly, but still rude. Mistakenly thinking that he was going to actually do something to help, I give him the keys, at which point he walks off and yells at me to get my own ride. I stand waiting at the door, demanding to speak with someone else now that this guy has walked off with my keys. The manager finally comes out 10 minutes later, and tells me that she will always side with her employees on any account given of a situation such as this. I'm furious, but I just want to leave and get this over with (keep in mind my kids are with me). Finally, after enough demands of getting the keys back, she gets them and gives them back. I drive over to the original location, and the same rep who assisted me when I picked up the cars 3 days prior helped me in about 2 minutes, no problems, no questions, was a great guy. His location is at Kingston Pike, and the moral of this story is that you should never go to the location off of Parkside, as they are not only useless, but are rude in the process....wish I could give something less than 1 star, they don't deserve any stars at all. read more

First, I write good as well as bad reviews. Our motor home broke down and had to be towed in. When it appeared it would have to stay at the facility overnight, we made the decision at 4:15P to rent a vehicle. We did a 3 day rental with the option to return it early and only pay for what we had used. The location we rented from closed at 5PM, but by the time my wife got back, the motor home had been fixed. She returned the car to e neighboring Enterprise location which closed at 6PM. The Manager made the decision to charge for a full day, $101.33 for a vehicle we had 65 minutes. We were informed the Manager could override this, but he opted not to. I have no problem paying for something, but for a full day, when it was returned 65 minutes later, is ridiculous. Since my wife is also responsible for renting vehicles for her government position moving fire strike teams throughout the State, she will now look to other rental agencies. read more

This location SUX's !!! I called a 0900 was on hold 12 minutes and was told by the representative to call back in 30 minutes so he can arrange someone to pick us up. First of all. I called waited on hold and now I'm too call you back? Ok. So I call back only to be told " we don't pick up on Saturday. Can you get and Uber?" Poorly managed. My family and I were moving from Knoxville to Hawaii and needed a rental car to cover the gap between selling our truck. We had a baby car seat with us when enterprise picked us up. Once we got to enterprise and went inside they rented out the car that our baby seat was in.... it was a mess and we did not get the seat back until the following day. We travel a lot. This enterprise is easily the least professional and poorly managed business I have dealt with in years of renting vehicles. This is the first and so far only Enterprise car rental location that I would not recommend. The staff who answer phones and work the desk inside the office are reasonably professional, but the guys who clean the vehicles and drive them out front for customers are not. My car, a Toyota Corolla, was filthy inside and out when presented to me. There were water spots (maybe dried mud; never seen anything like this on a rental car before) all over the exterior of the front windshield and side windows, the back seat and front passenger seat were covered in crumbs, and there was some sort of dried sticky mess all over and around the gear shift. I mentioned these problems and asked them to clean the car again. Less than five minutes later, it was brought back freshly washed on the exterior and vacuumed inside, which was nice, but with the sticky residue on the gear shift remaining. The guy who drove it up to the office had a flippant attitude and left the radio blaring, with the front seat as low, far back, and reclined as possible, making the vehicle almost impossible to drive. He wasn't especially tall, so I can only imagine the car was left in this condition as some sort of retribution for asking him to clean it up. I cancelled my reservation then and there. While that was the Enterprise car rental most convenient to my hotel, it was worth some inconvenience to deal with more professional, courteous employees at another Enterprise location. read more

This is probably more related to Enterprise as a company than this location specifically, but I had a truly horrible experience in Knoxville. Made and confirmed a reservation over the phone at one location, to find out 10 minutes later there wasn't a car for me. Was told to call this location, which I did, and was told there would be a car no problem. I showed up a few hours later to be told they couldn't actually provide me a car. It was almost 5pm on a weekday and I had a business trip in the morning. Was told they overbooked their fleet for spring break. Did not apologize or offer any solutions. Were not able to tell me why I was promised a car when there were none. Will never rent from Enterprise again. Reminder that you all are in the customer service business, not the car rental business, so learn to treat your customers better. Stop renting cars that don't exist and disappointing people. read more

I had a rental with this rental location. When Greg asked for my confirmation number and drivers license yesterday, he told me there weren't any cars available. That's weird for a company that specializes in car rentals, but that's beside the point. Their reasoning behind it was since I did not answer a phone call to confirm the reservation, they assumed I wouldn't come by. I cross checked my phone records with theirs and I did not have a call or voicemail. He said the call was made three days prior, and again, there was no record of a call or voicemail. (They has my email on file as well.) One top of this, two other employees walked out from the front door talking about how who was pregnant and who the father was. How is this relevant in front of a line of paying customers? My 1-star review is not because of what's listed above, but because Greg threw blame on me. He said that because I didn't call to confirm the pick up it was my fault and insisted that I "needed a spanking." They left us high and dry and I wouldn't recommend these scam artists to my worst enemies. Poor communication even when we called them the day before and they said we were good to go. After having a horrible experience at a Enterprise Rent-A-Car in a different state, I have refused to ever use them. I was told by a co-worker to call them and see what kind of a deal I could get on a standard SUV for a long weekend . I did and I'm so glad I did. The staff was pleasant and smiled even though they was busy. We ended up getting a great deal on a SUV and had no problems. Returning it was a breeze, in and out. No time wasted. Terrible. First, I've rented dozens of cars, but never received one with a completely empty gas tank. I had to get gas at the first station I could find. The car wasn't very clean. It was acceptable, but it really seemed like the cleaning had been rushed. When I got back, they told me there was hail damage, and they charged my $500 deductible to my credit card. We went out and looked at the car, and if you looked very carefully, in just the right light, you could see a few very tiny dings in the roof and one on the trunk. I don't believe they are new, but they had a report that there was hail in the same state that I drove the car to, and because it wasn't noted on the rental before going out, I am liable for it. There was a small storm that came through one evening, so I contacted my other co-workers who also rented cars, because presumably, since we were all parked in the same hotel parking lot, they would also have hail damage. None of them had hail damage. After getting back to work, and discussing this with coworkers, I found out that this same Enterprise location sent a coworker a bill for several thousand dollars a few days after her rental, stating that she must have run over something, because she damaged the undercarriage. She is certain that she did not run over anything. She also wonders if maybe she should have checked the undercarriage of the car before renting it, and if so, how would she do that? I should note that the employees were friendly, and have no problem with them. To me, there are too many alternatives to risk renting from this location (or Enterprise at all) again. read more

I have rented cars here for several years but no more. I rented an Intermediate vehicle and received a Chevy Cruze. I hate Chevy's and asked if they had any other intermediate vehicles. Mind you I'm looking at a parking lot full of them but the agent kept saying Chevy Cruze or I could upgrade. That really pissed me off. The only thing good about the vehicle I rented was the gas mileage. Never again Enterprise. Customers do have choices. read more

A nightmare. These are the most arrogant jerks I have ever dealt with in my life. You would think they sell Lamborghinis, not rent crappy cars. They took over $600 from my personal bank account without giving any notice. They blame it on the insurance company. The insurance company blamed it on enterprise. But enterprise is the one that doesn't seem to give a damn. They have basically refused to do anything to help. They seriously hurt me financially. And today, despite the fact they know and admit there is a problem in the system, and after they've taken another $49 from my account, they said they would look into it TOMORROW. Not today. Why would they, it's my money? I find their conduct to be unconscionable and downright criminal. I pray I never deal with these people again. Friendly, courteous, and professional service. I wouldn't hesitate to use this location again. Great rate with free upgrade found online. Later called to confirm that a spouse can be an additional driver without an extra fee and that the "unlimited" mileage still applied if I was taking the vehicle beyond the neighboring states. Neither was a problem and original rate and upgrade was honored. Note that this location doesn't have the infrastructure that most airport locations seem to have so the car, while clean on the inside, was filthy on the outside and had less than a half-tank of gas at pickup. I have never been treated so poorly by a company in my life. I rented a car and noticed that it smelled like weed when I opened the door. They were locking the doors and turning off the lights as they handed me the keys so I didn't want to be too much trouble and just asked that they make a note that it smelled like weed so they wouldn't think it was from me. This was a Tuesday. The following Sunday it still smelled so my husband searched the car and found weed rolled up in a cigar under the seat. We had been driving around with our 20 month old daughter in this car and if we had gotten pulled over, we could've gone to jail in front of her and I don't even know what they would've done with my daughter. I called Monday morning and was extremely upset and all that was offered to me was to switch the vehicle. I was shocked as I expected a much more apologetic attitude and gesture over such a huge problem. He didn't really seem to care. Then I called corporate and they said the regional manager would call me. Never got a call. So I went to the location to either drop the car off or see if anyone cared enough to try to make it up to us at all. Instead of being apologized to, I was accused of hanging up on the employee that I originally talked to, which I did not. And even if I had, I think that would've been a mild response considering the circumstances. Then the little blonde woman that works there interrupted and berated me by yelling at me and waiving her hands around in my face and slamming her hands on the desk and told me that if there was a problem with the vehicle I should have caught it before I drove off and should have told them sooner. I shouldn't have asked them to make a note of the smell and should have asked for a different car. I didn't know it was my job to tell them how to do their job. Then then she finished her yelling gas lighting by telling me that she was refunding half of the week back to me but would never rent to me again. I told her that I have never been treated so poorly, and could not believe this is how they are handling a situation where they put my child in danger due to their gross negligence. While a refund is fine and all, it's not even about that. I honestly wanted someone to have a caring apologetic attitude and just offer me something (without me having to ask for it) for my trouble. Instead I was yelled at in front of a store full of people and she looked at me and said "I'm not continuing this discussion." And I said because you don't care about me as a human or the danger you put my daughter in. And she nodded and walked off. I have rented from this location 4 times within the last 2 months. My workplace dictates the that I rent from this service, so I have little choice in this. Twice, I have made a reservation and set a time to pick up the car. Both times I arrived on time to pick up the car, but there was no car available for me and I had to wait an hour each time. Twice I have received a car with ab empty gas tank. I have also had to wait over an hour just to return the car due to staffing inadequacies. I have only had 1 rental (out of the 4) that did not have an issue. read more

For the last 2 months, due to family transportation issues, we have used the Enterprise on Parkside for our rental car needs, to say it was an Excellent experience, is not enough..moreso truly. Each time, we renewed our lease it was an easy without any problems and the vehicles were nearly new, clean with plenty of gas. Allow me to share, personally this particular branch on Parkside has the most efficient friendliest, accommodating staff ever, in fact they have become like an extended family. One of the main things I appreciate is how they explained the charges, insurance and other options when my bill is presented to me! I have never had any discrepancies ever! Chelsey (my angel), Desmond, Alex, Miller, Austin and the Branch Manager Reed are simply the best! They even know my name (smile). Oh, I am now a Enterprise Plus member whoo hoo! Extremely accommodating and helpful in getting me the vehicle I wanted. Treonna was wonderful. It took less than 15 minutes to pick it up and less than 10 minutes to return it.
