If I could give zero stars, I would. We had a terrible experience trying to rent a pickup truck. Before making our reservation, we specifically called and spoke with a representative because we wanted to confirm that a pickup truck would be available. We explained exactly what we needed, and the representative assured us they had either a Toyota Tacoma or a Ford F-150 available, depending on our needs. Based on that confirmation, we made the reservation. When we arrived at the location, we were told they didn't have any pickup trucks available at all. It was extremely frustrating to waste our time driving there after receiving confirmation over the phone. If the inventory couldn't actually be verified, we should have been told that instead of being given inaccurate information. This experience was disappointing and left us without the vehicle we had specifically reserved. read more

They knowingly gave us a rental car that smelled like cigarette smoke. Then when I called, they would not make it right. I called at 4:55 PM and they close at 6:00; we were leaving the next morning. When I called, the young lady offered no help and tried to excuse it by saying that it wasn't the Enterprise employees who made the car smell like cigarette smoke. This is not the level of customer service that Enterprise is normally known for. We've also rented from them before and got a car that smelled like pot smoke with streaky interior windows. I went in to return my rental, and I explicitly said when I walked up to the counter to the representative that, "I need to change my credit card payment from the saved payment to a new credit card," that I had in hand during the exchange. The representative then ignored my request, didn't ask see to see my card, and charged the saved card on file. When I asked them to correct it, they stated they can't do that in store and I have to call corporate Enterprise and rushed me out the door without offering to assist me any further. I then called corporate and they told me that they can't take card information over the phone, and that I have to do that in store at the location where I turned in my rental. This is unresolved and neither the store, nor the corporate office is assisting me with this matter. This is a fraudulent business practice as they issued an unauthorized payment to my credit card and didn't resolve the matter. read more

Further more help free up grade from standard car rate. On Hwy 45 yes...best service gave us a quick deal....no pick up ride from Hotel in Antioch so you must get your Own Uber or Lyft. Or its be huge Rate. read more

Consistently unable to get the vehicle you reserve. When you need a truck you need a truck. This location is lower volume, understaffed, has high turnover in managers and just continues to make excuses when they can't deliver the vehicle that you reserve, in advance! read more

Horrible service and very unprofessional. Mathew kept hanging up my call. They charged my card multiple times and even a $1600 charge even though I pay for my rental every week. They fired the two Hispanic guys that use to help me back around January they were great. Now they have a bunch of clowns working there with bad attitudes. read more

10/10 would recommend working with any of the charismatic and friendly staff at this location. I didn't feel intimidated or pressured to add additional services and willingly accepted their version of liability due to it not being my vehicle. Rugby - the store manager - created a welcoming and professional atmosphere and provided excellent customer service within a timely fashion. I was in and out of this establishment within a few moments. Upon returning the vehicle, I was again greeted with a warm and welcoming demeanor - the receiving staff member also shuttled me to another location after I returned the car - free of charge. Based on the reviews of the store - most being several years old - I'm thankful to have placed my immediate and short-term happiness with the Lake Villa Enterprise team. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Rugby was very unprofessional and rude. I came in to pick up a car 5/8/2024. Rugby stated I was supposed to be there on the 7th I stated I was in the hospital and was just released that evening. He stated he didn't have a car for me only an SUV I then stated I can't drive an SUV I was just in a car accident. After speaking to the insurance co Rugby stated he couldn't contact another enterprise to assist in finding another car that I would have to do it myself. I have never had to call another enterprise seeking a rental when one was supposed to been available. Rugby was not helpful he didn't even act like he wanted to do his job from the time I came into the door. I called corporate to file a complaint and have not heard back. This is not the first rude encounter with Rugby. I notice he treat other customers differently than poc. Rugby needs more training in customer service and how to treat everyone equally. read more

If I could, they would get zero stars. This Lake Villa location is very deceitful, and appear to care about money coming in, and nothing else. I had to rent a car following an accident. After insurance payments to Enterprise, I owe $50. They have been trying to charge 3 times this amount, while blaming my insurance company. And, my credit card company called me to let me know Enterprise is trying to charge $400 to my card. Luckily it was stopped. Find any other rental place, not here!!!!!! read more

Unfortunately Enterprise refuses to help my handicapped husband after years of renting cars from them. He accidentally left his handicap placard in his rental car and asked to have it sent to him. This simple request was met with we will send it "inter office mail" to the nearest office but can't send it to you. My husband has been waiting for over a month for them to send it inter office mail across the City of Chicago-and no one can locate it. At all. And have no idea where it is at this point or when he might get it back. Which is something he seriously needs. This is extremely disappointing for a company that is service oriented and sad they disregard special needs and handicapped customers needs. read more

Whoever is the detailer there needs to find a different career path. They take advantage of you by putting you in the biggest most expensive car on the lot. Some of were already taken advantage of by a hit and run and we could use a little compassion. read more

Made my resignation online giving them all my information including charge info. I got there early and the car I reserved was not there. Here go the excuse and run around. I chose something else in stock not what I would be comfortable in. Ecpecialy being 6" 4'. After all the hassle OH we can't take my bank card. I was in a car accident on 12/1/18 that was not my fault.The insurance company provided a rental car from Enterprise. Its across the street from my house. I picked up the car when it was raining, plus I was still in pain from the accident. I did a very quick check and was assured there was nothing wrong with the car. We even removed insurance on the car a few days later because it was just sitting in our driveway and barely driven. But I noticed a huge dent on the door a few days later. As a good citizen, I called them and informed them and they asked me to bring it in. When I brought it in, the person that looked at it said there was no way she could have noticed that damage if I didn't point it out because it blended in with the door. She said she would not blame\charge me for that damage and went on her computer to do something. Then she got on the phone and went outside to talk to someone. Then she came back, very apologetic, and told me that her co-worker was on the phone and wanted to talk to me about the damage. He was RUDE and FIRM and told me "sorry we have to make a damage claim against you, what is your insurance information". I was shocked. I tried to explain to him what his associate had just told me and he basically told me - its your word against hers - while she and I were still right there looking at each other, as she continued to be apologetic while he turning it all around and against me. I was so devastated that I have my own car damaged, I am dealing with an injury, and I am being blamed for a damage I did not cause. I followed up multiple times to try to clear it, and they just would not have any change in heart that I was telling the truth. I shouldn't have trusted them and not even take photos like most people do. I would NEVER rent from Enterprise again. This has affected my health and my family tremendously over something that their own insurance could have taken care of since there is no way this damage happened while I had the car. read more

Exceptional service!. I rent 60% of my cars from this location (the rest from airport locations) and the employees have been most accommodating. As one of the smaller locations they do have a smaller quantity, however the type of cars in their fleet are usually of a higher class. IMO the smaller Enterprise locations (v. airport locations) have superior customer service. read more

Buyer beware and read everything before initialing anything on their iPad. Fast talking rep. Told him I was not interested in extra insurance and he just let me sign. I thought I was signing that I did NOT want additional insurance. This is where they make their money. Got stuck with a $300 bill. read more

We decided to rent a car (last minute) for a quick family getaway. I expected a lot of haggle and hidden fees but my experience with Enterprise in Lake Villa was absolutely fantastic!
