no problem with the reservation at enterprise in Las Cruces, New Mexico. limited vehicles available and we ended up with one that had dents and scratches. It was somewhat clean, but not like it should be. However, the worst part of it is when we went to car back in on a Sunday morning because we were actually leaving town early. not able to turn it in until 11 o'clock. I don't think these hours are conducive with people returning cars that they rented while in town when they need to leave early on a Sunday they don't open until 11 AM. Also the hours on Saturday are 730 to 12 PM. I've never heard Rent-A-Car business being early on a Saturday isn't that the time where most people rent cars? I use enterprise car rental all over the United States and I never ran into this problem until I visited Las Cruces New Mexico. read more

I use enterprize quite a bit, i always reserve a vehicle days ahead, but i always have a 2 to 3 hoir wait or they want to give me an upgrade for $200 to $300 more a day. Why reserve vehicle if they never have one available. If they need to upgrade it should be at their cost not mine. Make theft and scams legal. read more

This is a poorly run business, not only do they currently provide poor service, poor service has been the highest that they have attained in years. Years ago, I reserved a car for a specific time for pickup. When I arrived at their location, the people were rude. So I go outside to wait, and wait, and wait. Finally they bring the car around. It's damaged AND dirty. I get out of there. Days later, they are supposed to come pick up the car. I tell the crew, as they are driving to my location which is over an hour away, I make clear that they Will Not be able to locate my home by using GPS. The person just keeps dismissing me and what I'm saying, so I finally had enough, I let them 'try' to find me . Well, they did, it just took them 3 hours. Now, anytime that you call their location, you'll be lucky if anyone answers the phone. Good luck ! read more

I reserved a car about a month in advance and when I came to pick it up I had to wait 2 hours to get the car. Everyone else had been waiting at least an hour and asking for an update on the wait or to get a different car. They didn't communicate any information with us while we sat and waited. The car was being picked up from being serviced and then getting cleaned after 2 more cars were finished being cleaned and this was my update after an hour wait. At an hour and a half they offered me a pickup truck instead which I said no to because I was driving out of town and the gas would cost me more. Finally after 2 hours I got into a car. What is the point of setting a pick up time for a car rental if you don't get the car until an hour and half later? There was no apology for the wait and no proactive communication. Worst company to ever do business with. My insurance directed me to them for my rental and got the worst service an experience. Well i went through enterprise for a car accident so the insurance was being held responsible which was no problem... Left my cc on file for the security deposit. Got a call from Christian demanding me to pay $250 to bring the account current or drop the car off.I told him let me contact my insurance and they will get everything straightened up. As soon as we hung up he ran my card. And called back to confront him and he was being a smart ass and rude... so i asked him is this how y'all really treat customer then asked to speak to the manager. Waited on hold for over an hour. He never picked up. Then Christian said he would call me back. When he called back i was working and with my client asked if he could call me back in 5 mins he never called back... so the day i dropped off the car the manager helped me return the vehicle and i asked him why he didn't call me back. He gave me no explanation but yet him and his staff had the right to treat me and do me like that.... Called to check back 2 days after the car was returned interesting y'all were paid with no Problem from my insurance. I've never had any issues with enterprise I've used them several times with great service. But now I am quarantined due to COVID and they still want to charge me daily for a vehicle I am not using and unable to return because I am not supposed to leave my house for any reason. The managers solution is to give me a discounted price because he doesn't schedule more people on the weekends so he can't spare an extra body to help me with my situation? If you guys are that busy on the weekends maybe consider have an extra person on staff. This is unbelievable we should be looking out for each other during these times. Great customer service! Fast and friendly, even though there was a line when I walked in the door! If you plan to use your own insurance make sure you bring proof of insurance with you and know your deductible. There is $150 deposit on top of the rental price. We arrived at Avis Las Cruces before 8 am and these Customers were already waiting outside in the heat of June. NONE of Avis' employees showed up. We waited in the HEAT with no water, no seats, no shade up until 9:20. Their business on Google and Avis site says they open at 8:00 am. We finally left and decided to 'worry later' about the reservation we already made on Avis because we were concerned about getting a HEAT STROKE. Then we went to Enterprise. Checkout the other picture of what customer service is like at Enterprise. The agent walked outside their office as soon as he saw us approach their office with their handheld check-in iPad to provide curbside assistance. He had a mask on. He was professional , polite, courteous, efficient, organized and quick. He had the car ready. We were out there in 15 minutes with a gorgeous Infiniti SUV. Dont ever use Avis again! read more

Unbelievable! Make sure you are in debt enough and have enough credits cards...I planned for a vacation and had a reservation for three weeks. I get to the building to pick up my vehicle and they SCREWED ME, AND MY FAMILY VACATION. BS company policy states that I need to have a credit card to rent an SUV. I do not own a credit card and pay for everything up front. They could have informed me of this when I made the reservation. This car rental was no help. I called them from the Honda dealer needing a vehicle since my vehicle is being worked on. I was told they had no vehicles for me to rent. Are you kidding me? I ask if there was another Enterprise in Las Cruces and was told it was closed because of Covid. I tried calling Hertz and the phone just rings. I can't believe this town, no cars to rent. Oh, Enterprise did say they can pick me up the next day around 2 pm since I have no way to get anywhere. I am here visiting from another state. Do the next day I call and they are willing to pick me up. I ask if they have a car for me rent and was told yes. I ask what kind of car do you have. We can't give you that info. Are you kidding me? You expect me to go all the way across town not knowing what car I will be renting. Don't expect them to help you if you need a car. read more

Very nice staff, just not enough of them. I had reservations for 7:30, didn't actually drive off until 8:30, grrrrrr. Returning the car was almost worse. Granted it was a Saturday, there were at least five people in front of me and all I needed to do was drop off the rental. After getting a little frustrated, I interupted and asked if they had a drop box like their competition. They seemed surprised that I would want to return my car without their help. Their response was something like, "Give me the keys and we will email you if there are any damages". I gladly passed over the keys, took pictures of the car, and left. Certainly a suggestion to the business would be to place an obvious drop box and include a sign at the front desk reminding customers of their options. After my mother died, I needed to rent a car to drive back to FL and the one-way fees were alarming. Matt told me to come back the next day and rent directly from him, as he could reduce the one-way fees and get the rental down to 95.00. I left the office in tears, overwhelmed by the generosity and helpfulness of the Enterprise staff. When I went back the next day, I was told that Matt was out sick. Ryan told me $95 was not possible, but he could get me the car for $238. I was still grateful, as a one-way rental to Florida would have been much more expensive on the website. When I returned the car in FL, early, I was charged $317. I contacted Enterprise customer service, who promised to investigate and get me to the right people. No one ever contacted me. I understand the staff make commission off padding rental agreements. I hope you boys enjoyed a few rounds on me, while I went through the hardest week of my life. read more

We are winter residents of Las Cruces and have arranged a 3 month rental from Enterprise for the past three years. They have always been helpful and efficient, especially in finding the type of car we prefer. Because we will be using the car for 3 months and driving over much of NM, we are a bit picky. This year on arriving we had to initially take a car we didn't love because inventory was low. However, Erica Sherman went above and beyond in seeking out better options for us and calling us when "our" car finally came in. It took less than five minutes to trade cars and we were on our way. And, I should mention, their long-term rates are much lower than Hertz or Avis. read more

As a PlusCard Member, we have rented many times from Enterprise. This time we flew into Las Cruces International Airport and requested a car to be waiting for us at Southwestern Aviation, which we have done in the past. We were told it would be there at the requested time. It was not and as far as we know it never showed up! Two years in a row I have booked with enterprise for my family's October getaway, in 2014 I reserved a mini-van for a trip to Casper Wy. Upon arriving at the Las Cruces dealership I was told that all the mini-vans were sent to Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta, I had booked this reservation a week in advance, I was told that all they had to rent was a 15 passenger van. Being under the gun I accepted. Big mistake! In September of 2015 I reserved a mini-van a month in advance, the morning of the pick up date I called and was told that my van was in the lot waiting my 3:30 pm pickup. At 3:00 pm I was called and told that due to a recent hail storm in the area (which didn't even hit the dealership) that my van was unavailable to rent due to half of their fleet being damaged. They then offered me a 15 passenger van to take on my trip, after spending 45 minutes on hold while they were trying to "make it up to me" I hung up and called Hertz and was on my way in less than an hour. Bottom line is that I will NEVER rent from enterprise again and will tell everyone I know that they are not to be trusted. While on hold I listened to the same rolling loop commercial about enterprise being the most customer friendly, put the customer first company. Big Lie! If they can get a higher rate from someone else despite the fact that they have already booked a vehicle they will!!! The Las Cruces store on Valley drive is the most incompetent poorly run rental agency that I have seen and I rent vehicles for business as well as personal use regularly, will never set foot in the store again! read more
