My husband was T-boned in an intersection by someone who ran a red light and our car needed extensive repairs so we did not actually choose this location for a rental vehicle, but were instructed to come here by our insurance. It is a small facility and they only had one vehicle available in the price range our insurance was willing to pay. We know because we asked for other options. When we saw the vehicle we would be getting I was a bit shocked to be honest. I was surprised how many scratches, dents and spots of missing paint were on the vehicle. When I asked the employee about this, I was told that "anything under 6 inches is fine" and that they don't document it. Luckily, the interior was clean and comfortable and the car drove perfectly well so we had no issues. When the shop was finally finished with our vehicle we came to drop off the car and were told we owed just over $200. I explained our insurance should have taken care of it but the employee said some of the time had not been approved. We tried calling and texting our insurance agent with no response and it was getting close to closing time but I explained I was not going to be paying out of pocket and the employee was understanding and stated he would put a note on our account to wait to hear from the insurance. Of course, they had our credit card on file so I got it sorted out as quickly as possible. Through no fault of theirs we did end up having to pay them just over $30 out of pocket. Lastly, I want to say how good I found the customer service to be. On our first visit to pick up the vehicle, Faviola was very nice and friendly and had great communication and on our last visit to drop off, the young man who was helping us (Caleb maybe?) was understanding and patient. If you are trying to decide whether to use this location, just know that there is definitely a friendly vibe here even though they do have to deal with some unhappy people and based on the one day for which we were charged out of pocket, it would appear their prices are reasonable. The selection and options available will be limited as this is a small shop and they do not seem particularly fussy about the condition of the vehicles so if you are someone who doesn't care about that or maybe isn't the most cautious driver, perhaps you will find that to your advantage. I would return based on their customer service but I would be more diligent in making an appointment and securing the exact vehicle I wanted was available and in good condition before coming. read more

I saw the reviews on here and was a little skeptical.. but I decided to rent with them anyways and I was glad I did! I originally reserved a full sized pick up truck because we were just about finished moving but there was a couple of things we still needed to transport. I did my reservation online and was able to go to pick it up same day. I get to the store and they were very welcoming and helpful. They did, however, tell me that the full sized pick up truck was already rented but they did have a full sized suv that I could rent instead. Given that the stuff we needed to move wasn't huge, I was fine with it. During the inspection, the sales guy noticed the car smelt very strongly of weed. He apologized profusely for it and asked if I was okay with the smell, even knowing I had tow little ones. I told him it was bearable and since we weren't keeping it long we'd be okay. He offered a 10% discount for the smell which I was not expecting. He also noticed the car had almost no gas so he waived the gas fee for me. The process to get the car was simple and very quick I was there maybe 15 minutes at most. During the rental period, the manager texted and made sure I liked the rental and to reach out with any questions or concerns. I finally returned it and they were able to shuttle me home. I am a remote worker who has to do some work related travel. This location is closest to my home. I really wanted to write about the great experience I had, however I cannot. Arrived to pick up my rental, building was full of people trying to do the same. Check in was easy-I've been waiting over an hour for a car. I can not recommend this location and will probably drive to Stockton to get a Hertz car next time. The only pleasant part of the rental was dropping it off, from start to finish it was not great. Originally picked up a vehicle in Lodi that was unsafe with front end alignment or wheel issue that caused the steering wheel to shake A TON once you get 50. contacted EG as they are the only one's who had vehicles and wanted to charge extra for "only" having vans when the vehicle given to me was unsafe to drive. They magically found a vehicle that was in the same price range by time I arrived which that car was actually rather pleasant to drive. The manager's in both Lodi and Elk Grove were not helpful and horrible attitudes, asked for district managers number and got more attitude from it which filing complaint with corporate. Lodi was supposed to pick me up at 11:00AM which the shuttle was there at 11:30 and the car was not ready when we arrived in Lodi. Called Lodi to inform that the car was not working correctly and Dominique stated "oh yeah thats normal for the car to shake" i had to take a video of the car to show enterprise in EG when i was exchanging cars. Before I review I was a former Enterprise employee a long time ago so I know how things are supposed go for the most part. I needed to get a rental as I was rear ended by a claimant that had National General Insurance. I called the Lodi office and asked how much the rental rate is for a full size car through National General and was told they did not have special rates for National General which I understood. I then asked what the rates would be through state farm as state farm is my insurance company and was told it was 44.99 for a full size car. This rate sounded really high for state farm so I asked again and the girl that answered said 44.99 that she could not make a reservation for rental reimbursement which I also understood. I called the general Enterprise number which I'm assuming goes to a call center and they quoted me $30.50 for a fullsize car which sounded more correct so I made the reservation through them. Spending that much time just trying to get the right quote is a little ridiculous. The manager trainees should have basic training to look up the right rental car rates for specific insurance companies. The rental process of picking up the car and dropping off the car were totally fine. But calling and making the reservation and getting quoted the wrong prices was kind of annoying. It makes you feel like you can't trust them after being quoted the wrong prices. read more

I was in a very bad way . I had just dropped my personal Vehicle at the body shop for front end repairs more mechanical issues that had not been estimated in the cosmetic was ONLY $2100 and my insurance was good with that. So my insurance set us up with a rent a car from Enterprise. They are an amazing rental agency as soon as we dropped our car off at the body shop enterprise was there to pick us up very friendly and professional ride from Axel. Then 4 days later i get a phone call stating the under carriage front part of the engine damage has increased your damages to $7900. and NO ONE would EVER guess the radiator and parts behind that would add up to $7900. My insurance would not pay it so I was devastated to say the least because it had a pay off on it so I came out at ZERO!! So I called Enterprise to let them know they were gonna total it. I spoke with The manager Mario over the phone I was very upset and just devastated at the Lodi Location. He looked up my contract gave me the date that my insurance covered it til. And was so understanding to my issues . I went into see him on the date the insurance would no longer pay. We then told him our struggles of still needing a rental he said "NO problem your covered on your insurance price til the 24th". I was NEVER so RELIEVED that even though I have to pay out of pocket I am just paying the full insurance rate. Mario was Nice and understanding and very professional. The whole staff there was VERY friendly and professional. Just when I couldn't stress any longer Mario really took a whole lot of stress off me. I can't thank Mario and his team enough for being so understanding and supportive of our devastating time we are dealing with. I haven't written a bad review on Yelp and at the moment I'm so overwhelmed I hope I get out everything I need to say. My car is under repairs as of yesterday, my insurance originally set me up with Hertz and when I arrived yesterday afternoon they had no cars. I called my I insurance and changed the company to enterprise. I went online before driving to enterprise and to my surprise the auto center location had no cars. I called the enterprise 800 number and they set me up for a reservation yesterday at 5pm at the Lodi Location. I arrived and once again no cars available. I couldn't even get mad at this point I was tired and just needed to be assured I would be put in a car soon, which I thought the receptionist did, she said arrive tomorrow 6/8 at 3:30 with your debit card, DL, and proof of insurance and we will get you set up. I felt confident about trusting her left a little relieved. I showed up today 6/8 and no cars! Not only no cars but a different worker tells me my reservation was for the auto center location!! I was furious, I went off, I took time off work only to be told I've been turned away once again. I called auto center location when I left and the girl tells me they don't have any appts for me!!! At this point I am desperate for some help. This girl tells me there's no cars however she can set me up for tomorrow 6/9 at 1pm. I am really hoping she comes through, it should not be this difficult to rent a car! I will be back tomorrow to update my review. This customer service is probably the worst service I've had in a long time. We picked up a car this morning. It was not the car our insurance company reserved. There were many damages to the car when picked up, a knob was missing from the radio, a hole in the dash, and the back seat was full of holes. When we received the e mail contract, none of the damages were noted in the contract. The person we dealt with was unhelpful and I will never use enterprise again. BEWARE!!! They are dishonest! My car was in the shop and I rented from them through my insurance company. I returned the rental car to the auto shop after mine was repaired and Enterprise picked it up later. Joe from Enterprise called the next morning to tell me they were charging me $150 because they found ashes in the car and it smelled like smoke! That is how I got the car when they hurriedly checked it out to me (externall inspection only) and I DON'T SMOKE!!! I've rented here 5-6 times in the past, everything every time has always been fine. After what happened yesterday, this is the only location and company I will rent from. Just back from vacation, drop the car off, wife and I leave, we're at the store and we get a call from Enterprise... they called to let us know that we left an envelope in the glovebox - an envelope with $240.00!!! The person cleaning out and readying the cars can't make too much money, right? They could've kept it and I probably would've never known it was there but they DIDN'T - very admirable Enterprise! I reserved an SUV as I have family to pick up from SFO at 9am. I called for a ride in the morning & was informed they don't pick up from Stockton although I live literally under 10 miles away. By the time I confirmed a ride to get to Enterprise, it was 9:30. So I call Enterprise to ensure they still have the SUV, only to be informed that they don't have any. Why would you confirm an SUV pickup if you don't have any in the first place? Then the person on the phone tells me there will be an SUV that is returned within half an hour so I get there by 10 & no return still. You would think the person would be somewhat apologetic or call the person to ensure they would return the vehicle on time, but no...nothing. I ended up renting a car, my mom had to take the day off work so we can now take 2 cars to SFO. My family is flying in from England with a baby and we're an hour late to pick them up thanks to Enterprise. What an inconsiderate team of ppl, I will never rent from here again. read more

I am giving one star for the customer service only. I have been a long time loyal customer of enterprise rental cars. I have never been more dissatisfied with any customer service then by the way I was treated by the manager Grace Asman. This review is in no reflection on the company itself, only on its employee. I have never had anything but great experiencences with Enterprise, until my encounter with Grace. I was quoted a certain price for a rental and then upon returning the car this price was not honored. She was trying to charge a significantly higher charge. Instead of tactfully handling this situation, she was very rude, argumentative, and made snide remarks. I feel this is very unfortunate that an employee of such a reputable company is acting in such a manner, especially a manager. This is the main rental car company we have in Lodi and to be treated with such disrespect is appalling. read more

Makes me sad at the fact this has a 5 star rating and I'm giving it a 1, I left pretty pissed off. If I could say ZERO I really would. I reserved a rental for today at 12 pm and I understand I didn't call or even went there at 12 to pick it up but the lady who helped me said, my pick up is at 9 am and that they tried to call but my number was not on the reservation. Which is a whole lot of bull crap because I have proof I left my email and my CORRECT number on the reservation. And my reservation was not at 9 am as she kept on saying probably 4x. So they cancelled and clearly did not call me because I "DIDNT" leave a number on my reservation. Had excellent customer service from the manager, Tyler. We were traveling from Fresno to Santa Rosa when my car broke down in Lodi. We had to leave my car at the auto shop and needed a rental so we walked over to Enterprise. Tyler was unbelievably kind and helpful. He gave us a great rate and got us out of there quickly (a screaming newborn always creates a sense of urgency lol). Car worked fine but the only reason we rented in lodi was because they told us they had a shuttle that could bring us home to north Stockton. But when we took the car back the lady told us no shuttles to Stockton. She didn't offer to help us at all. Call a taxi or tell us the nearest bus stop nothing at all. She showed no concern as we walked out knowing we needed a ride to Stockton after dropping the car off. And when we gave her the car key she said what is this for?... Like really, what do you think? Enterprise you need to hire nicer, kinder, more caring people who aren't dumb as a pile of rocks. read more

How-ever I did need to rent a car for a week while my car was in the shop last week ( December 2015) and I was so impressed with the excellent service that I received at Enterprise in Lodi. I decided to take a moment and let you know. Somebody is doing an excellent job with hiring, training and coaching the team at this location. Juliana the assistant manager went above and beyond and definitely won my business and the business of my friends and family.
