It has been my experience, especially with Enterprise, that if you're having issues it's usually YOUR fault. 1 Star - Absolute Waste of Time I reserved a car with a 6:00 PM pickup time, which YOUR system allowed me to select. While driving to the location, I called ahead because I noticed they close at 6. I was then told that 5:50 PM is their "cutoff" and that since I'd be arriving at 6, I couldn't get the car I already reserved. So let me get this straight: If 5:50 is the cutoff, WHY does your system allow a 6:00 PM reservation? This caused me to waste time, money, and completely disrupted my plans I ubered there and had to uber back. No warning, no notification, no accountability--just "too bad." This is either terrible communication or a broken reservation system, and either way it's unacceptable for a company this size. If you can't honor reservations at the time you allow customers to book, don't offer that time. Simple. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience. read more

I've used this place for years and I have finally had enough of the horrible service. You wait forever for your car, in the hopes they have the car you actually reserved. What is a point of a reservation if you don't get the car at the time you reserved and you don't even get the car you reserved. Horrible customer service. One star is too many! We use this Enterprise location only because it's close to home, but after several consecutive years of reserving a in advance, they have failed to honor our confirmed reservation EVERY SINGLE TIME. We always reserve a premium SUV when our kids come to visit because our disabled grandson, car seats, luggage, and tall family members require the extra space. Despite receiving confirmation and check-in texts, there was a problem with our vehicle on our most recent reservation with the company. I would have been more understanding if year after year there wasn't always some problem with our rental being available and I didn't need it to pick up family, including my disabled grandson, at the airport that very afternoon. After ongoing questions and concerns regarding what Enterprise was going to do to resolve the problem, the assistant manager (Jacob Rollins) became highly confrontational and repeatedly threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. I was never rude, disruptive, or inappropriate. Frustrated, yes. I simply wanted a solution. Other customers were so shocked by his behavior that they spoke up on my behalf and even offered to be witnesses should I need them. I left the premises without a vehicle due to Mr. Rollins telling me he was going to call the police. I've never in my life had someone threaten to call the police on me. It was extremely alarming and upsetting. We were forced to drive nearly 100 miles to another Enterprise location where we finally found a Premium SUV we could apply to our current 2 week reservation. It had over 70,000 miles on it and the check engine and ABS warning lights came on/off throughout our trips. Most of the time when I called customer service, and I called multiple times, someone who barely spoke English would attempt to communicate with me. I could only understand bits and pieces of what they were saying. We didn't get out as much as we originally planned to due to the mechanical issues with the vehicle. When we finally returned it, we were offered a price break. However, after what we went through at the Murrieta location and the condition of the vehicle, we should have not been charged whatsoever. Enterprise's poor customer service, broken reservations, and unacceptable treatment will result in our family obtaining rental service elsewhere in the future. read more

Enough is enough! I have been renting from this facility for several years and its the same song and dance. 45 min wait for a car and the car is dirty, 1/2 tank of gas. How is it that when I rent at an airport, I show my license and 2 minutes later I'm on my way. Murrieta does not have the foot traffic like an airport. I received two calls telling me what I saw online was incorrect and asking me to choose something else. We make appointments for a reason, if I show up early/on time for an appointment, I expect to be treated with the same courtesy. I have been waiting outside in the blazing sun for over 30 minutes now because the waiting room was full, now 1/2 an hour past my appointment time. I can understand if you're running behind, but to already be behind over 30 minutes is crazy and blatantly disrespectful towards your customers. Especially when you only have one person manning the front desk/check ins and the rest of your employees have disappeared to who knows where because they aren't outside helping customers, nor are any of them inside. We make appointments for convenience and because we have other obligations. Every walk in, return and other employees picking up vehicles have been made a priority over our appointment time. When I asked for an update, I was told 10 more minutes so all in all, waited 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time which really should not be acceptable. It took a whopping 2 minutes to sign and get my car after waiting all that time and I gave a couple extra stars for Jacob who was nice and polite and didn't push anything extra on us. The guy at the front desk was also friendly and all your extra workers were apparently in the back washing/cleaning cars. read more

Desk is understaffed and I suspect undertrained. So much waiting, then wait some more. Had to ask them to wash the car they brought out for me, it was filthy on the outside. Takes a long time on hold (over 10 minutes) to get anyone on the phone when returning a call from them. They called asking about my experience, I told them, and got a canned response, something like "we strive for excellence". I think this poor service is a company-wide issue as I had a bad experience in San Jose as well. Just...idk if Hertz is any better but I'll try them next time. read more

Rented a car to be dropped off at French valley airport. It has taken forever and it is completely disorganized.

Do not rent at this location they are impossible! I returned my car w gas over the quantity due and returned in perfect condition. The young girl that checked in my car forgot to check in the car and I have had to pursue my deposit of 300.00 back 21 days later (usually is refunded in 3 days) then they processed the return deposit and it is not the total of 300.00 - they also sent me an invoice showing the return deposit (at the lower amount) but is going through my bank AS ANOTHER CHARGE! THE BUMMER TO DEAL WITH THIS LOCATION IS YOU HAVE TO WAIT A HALF HOUR TO AN HOUR TO GET THROUGH THEIR PHONE LINES. NOW I NEED NEARLY DOUBLE THE AMOUNT BACK ON THE CHARGES! Katlyn, who knows nothing about banks thinks I should take Uber's there and back and get a print out and take it to my bank and force the bank to align with their accounting! Of course the bank will force them to align with the money they removed from my account twice Love how they give their generic response, as if they care- which does not help you get anything done. I've never had a bad experience here, from a customer service perspective. Everyone has always been wonderful and very nice. My issue is that the building smells extremely strong of ammonia , or some very pungent odor. The entire premises smells this way, and so do the cars inside. . The smell is so strong that your head starts to hurt if you're in there long enough. Unfortunately as well, in my short experience 4-5 rentals between my partner, and I, the cars I've rented have sometimes been somewhat banged up, and for some reason, the interior windshield is super hazy and needs to be cleaned every time I rent a car here. Great people at this location, but I'm guessing they have some sort of water system issue that's impacting the cleanliness of the cars and the experience at the premises read more

Avoid This Location - Misleading and Unreliable I reserved a 7-seater minivan here 4-5 weeks in advance for Labor Day weekend. Three days before pickup, they even called to confirm my reservation, and I confirmed I would be there. When I showed up on time at noon, the front desk checked me in, had me wait 15 minutes, then told me they had no minivans available. Instead, they tried pushing a Ford Escalade & Chevy suburban that I didn't want. No explanation, no accountability. What's worse, I overheard staff admitting that this location doesn't even carry minivans, yet their system still lets people book them. Their "solution" is usually to offer discounts or "upgrades" to SUVs like a Lincoln & Jeep Wagoneer, which is not the same thing when you specifically need a minivan. This was a complete failure and ruined our 3-day weekend plans.I wish I could give 0 star but system do not let me. I've cancelled all future reservations with this agency. If you need a specific vehicle, do not trust this place. read more

I rented a truck on July 16th and returned it on the 17th. The truck they gave me was already in terrible shape -- dents, scratches, stains on the seat, and reeking of cigarette smoke. I didn't complain, I just needed the rental. When I returned the truck, I was shocked to be told there was a new dent on the bumper. I'm 100% confident I did NOT cause that damage. I asked the employee (Jacob) to check the cameras so we could verify, because I truly believed it was already there and just hadn't been noticed. Jacob went inside, came back out, and told me he "checked the cameras" and that the dent wasn't there before. I asked to see the footage, and he passed me off to a manager. Then the manager tells me they actually don't have access to any cameras and had no idea why Jacob would say that. Excuse me?? You just had one of your employees LIE to my face and pretend he reviewed footage that doesn't even exist?? What kind of shady, unprofessional training are you giving your staff? If I had caused the damage, I would 100% own up to it and give you my insurance -- no problem. But don't gaslight your customers and make up fake evidence to shift blame. Enterprise, do better. This experience was completely dishonest and infuriating. I will never rent from this location again -- and if this is how your employees are trained to treat people, I'll be taking my business elsewhere permanently. read more

Update. The non helpful total corporate response is embarrassing Enterprise. I'll be looking into consumer advocacy or governing agencies to be reporting this location. I specifically booked a truck for an important work trip. I made it clear to the woman in the phone it had to be a truck and in was assured it would be. I was sure to be clear as I book cars often for work and am no stranger to the fact these companies over book/over promise on inventory. When I arrived the staff told me there were no trucks. I was understandably heated. I said fine please cancel the reservation and show me a receipt that I owe nothing. The staff refused to delete my reservation and provide with a receipt for my business. They said trust us. I told them that there is no trust to give since I was already lied to about the truck. They refused again to show me it was cancelled and provide me a receipt. I told them it was unacceptable (admittedly heated based on the situation) and they then proceeded to "kick me out" I said I'd leave once I had proof my reservation was canceled. They again refused and told to leave. At that point I said can one of you go outside with me and show and prove to me my reservation is cancelled? One of them said yes and did so in a matter of literally seconds. I said to the employee, you could have just done that inside and not a made a big scene and he sheepishly replied with "I know" I typically use Avis and will do everything in my power never to use Enterprise again. So his is a review from a person who rents cars upwards of 10 times yea year for myself and countless for other employees. read more

I have visited this locstion several times and it never fails, the location is extremely slow and never staffed appropriately.

I don't know what happened to this place. At some point the management changed and now it's a roll of the dice on whether you'll get what you need. I needed to be picked up. I booked online, I then called to confirm. I then called the morning of the pick up to make sure. Guess what? No one came- I called again to see where my ride was and waited online for 8 minutes as they tried to figure out where they went wrong. Fast forward, I got a ride over there, I walked in and there were at least 6 sets of people all waiting for their cars. I was already an hour late to pick up my own rental, so when I heard one of the waiting customers ask the rep" how much longer is this going to take, saying she'd been waiting for 40 minutes already..." the rep said about 20 more minutes or so - I turned and walked out. This adds to my last visit when they couldn't find my profile saying they didn't have my past rental information or my email - when I rent at least monthly . In addition, they tried to give me a car that was clearly used by folks who smoked marijuana , I couldn't even sit in that car- and they said it had been cleaned. NOT! It's not a pleasant experience at all. The location is convenient, but the cost of my sanity is more valuable. I'll need to switch locations. read more

I called, was told they pick me up in 15 minutes, 30 minutes I called back, was told they had no record of picking me up, I got a ride share to take me there, when I complained about it, the clerk said "I'm sorry" in a very rude voice! I frequently rent from this location, when I have a long distance trip and don't want to use my own vehicle. Everyone that I have encountered over multiple visits, from the people at the counter, to the people who take me to my car, are always super friendly and super helpful. I was told by an associate that it would take about 10 minutes to get a ride back and I didn't need to schedule any particular time. After returning the car, Colin informed me that either I wait a hour for a driver (who happened to be there at the time I returned the car, or he could get an Uber and charge it to the original rental contract. Third time should be a charm, NOT SO MUCH. I reserved a SUV, waited 30 minutes for my car and was shown I had a choice of Jeep Wrangler, and a full size pickup. Of course I had a reservation for a Chevy Traverse (or similair) and was going on a trip and those were my options... oh they offered a KIA Soul. This is the third time in a row this business has done this to me. Last time I had to take the Wrangler which is horrible on a road trip, the other was a 4-cylinder toyota pickup - gutless up every grade. The employees could care less and were worthless, just shrugged their shoulders, "Nothing I can do about it." I did something about it, I cancelled my reservation and put this on YELP to warn other customers how poorly run this rental car business is. read more

I rented a 15 seated Ford Transit for a company event. I left my glasses in the vehicle. The vehicle was dropped off after hours on Friday. When contacting the company Monday morning when they opened the employee stated they would check the vehicle and get back to me. I never received a call back. The following day I called and now the employees claims they couldn't find my glasses. Enterprise was closed over the weekend and no one rented the van on Monday. The only person who was able to get into the van was the enterprise employee. My glasses were clearly stolen. This is unfortunate seeing I use enterprise to rent my vehicle through my company. I have rented 3 times here in the past 2 months and have been disappointed to find that each time when I arrived, they didn't have the type I reserved and I got stuck with something smaller due to their severely limited inventory and lack of communication. I have needed a long term rental car and wasn't sure who to go as far as rental car companies. I'll be honest in the beginning I went to this particular one because of a special they had going at the time and the low rate associated with it. But once I got there the two gentlemen who work there were beyond professional and helpful. The whole process was super painless and I could not recommend this place more. I wish I knew their names because I would mention them here but I hope the corporate office or whoever sees this and knows that they're both great employees. Where to start. I'm going to start with avoid this location if you are in need of a rental vehicle. While the staff is friendly and tried to be accommodating my experience with the vehicle's and conditions of the vehicles is questionable at best. We were in need of a rental as our vehicle needed body work. We chose this location as its proximity to our body shop was within 1/2 mile. Everything went smoothly we were given a Chevy Equinox, we parked it in our garage, soon noticing a (large pool of oil on my garage floor) alerting Enterprise, we were asked to return the vehicle and exchange for another, (a Chevy Traverse, upon getting home the check engine indicator popped on) as well I had put cardboard down on our garage floor noticed it too had dripped oil onto the cardboard box. Moving forward Enterprise had told us they would have someone out to our place to clean up the oily mess. A week later I heard nothing from Enterprise and or the cleaning company, fortunately I had taken down the phone number of the cleaning company and decided to call them direct. Upon reaching the company to clean the oil I asked if they've heard from Enterprise of which they said they had not heard from them in over a week to preform the work. So again I'm calling Enterprise to speak with a manager, she had to check with another manager and get back to us which she did. Finally 10 days after returning the second leaking vehicle it was taken care of. What a headache! Hope this review helps others understand the vehicles being sent right back onto the road are not in my humble opinion being serviced. If you are thinking you're renting a reliable vehicle from this location to drive out of town you may want to think twice. Fortunately we had no plans to drive these vehicles any further than to and from home and errands. read more

Had the worst experience at this location more than once your employee Cynthia lied about my bill multiple times and what she said never showed on paper when question she got rude then when we had requested for the GM calling to give us a call back he never did then upon trying to call back again for a second time he finally got on the phone and decided to be very rude and aggressive when I asked for his supervisor to give me a call I have still been waiting for almost a week and a half just like the 30 days that I waited previously for calling to give me a call back which he claims he never knew about which I was told by the previous employee that she had told him to his face to please give me a call this location is very poorly operated their rude to customers they play favoritism with friends and family and take walk-ins before reservations and Colin likes to talk to people like their dogs after looking at the other reviews here on Help it's clear to me that somebody needs to step in and either remove him from his position or retrain him it's obvious to see he is a problem read more
