Terrible experience with a worker named Justine. She was extremely rude, unprofessional, and completely out of line. When I asked a few basic questions about my rental, Justine snapped at me, and even said I should "get a car somewhere else." I was shocked by how nasty she was. To make matters worse, I've also seen Justine driving cars back into the garage recklessly -- fast, careless, and unsafe, lots of people and kids walking by. Someone like that should not be working with customers or handling vehicles. Avoid Justine. read more

This is 2nd time now I've rented from this site. They are highly constrained by physical site ...small, narrow, need elevator transport to get customer cars to street level. Super slow. ​ I scheduled my pickup well in advance but had to wait half hour before finally departing with car. And the 1st time I uses the site, they gave me a faulty can so I had to waste more time explaining, and getting replaced. Such a convenient, hassle-free, stress-free experience. Renting a car from Enterprise UES was such an easy process, from booking, to pickup, to drop off. Booking online was super easy. Picking up probably only took 5 minutes. We literally showed up, signed the doc and added insurance, paid, then left. There was no wait at all. We got there, and the car was already in the driveway ready for us. Drop off took just as quickly. We dropped of the car, confirmed where to get our receipt for the purchase, and that was it! I also liked that in dealing with Enterprise, I never felt like any of the staff was trying to upsell or trick me. They were all very friendly, transparent, fair, and helpful. The quality of the car we rented was great, too. It really felt like a luxurious experience. Overall, renting with Enterprise has been such a smooth, easy process. Stay away from this location! Place is a disaster. I've used Enterprise for years, both for work and personal rentals, but this last experience was seriously disappointing. I booked a full-size SUV, expecting something like a Ford Edge. When I got to the location, all they had were smaller SUVs. I ended up taking a Kia, but there was no mention of any price adjustment for the smaller vehicle. Stuff happens so I am not going to knock them for it. On top of that, the Kia had a "service now" light that I didn't notice until I was already on the road, and the brakes caused the car to shake at highway speeds. Not exactly confidence-inspiring. When I returned the car, there weren't enough staff to help with the checkout. I waited around for a while before someone finally told me they'd email my receipt later--never got it. I called to follow up and was told a manager would reach out to me. It's been over 2 weeks and still nothing. This whole experience was pretty frustrating and not what I've come to expect from Enterprise. I hope they get these issues sorted out. Reco is to go to the Hertz on 76th. read more

My experience with the enterprise car rental location on 3rd Ave near Fordham road in the bronx was a horrible experience....the vehicle I was given reeked of cigarettes and the seats were stained up. I tried to get a replacement vehicle to no avail. Plus, the vehicle had scratches on the rear passenger door , looked like a kid was drawing on the door... customer service was very rude to the point where I was just done with it all together. I wish I could give this a zero star review for my most recent car rental experience. I recently rented a car from this location - paying a premium to pick up in Manhattan as I had a very important meeting outside of the city. When I arrived to pick up my car - the car I was given had ZERO gas in the tank. I was running late for my meeting... and had to rush to find a gas station in the city. As you all know - they are very limited. I waited in line for 20 mins with cab drivers and uber drivers - and paid for gas which was not my responsibility and was late to my client meeting. When I returned the car - I let the attendant know about the situation and she said "this really isn't my problem" and told me a manager would get in contact with me... I never heard from them. I also thought about giving them another chance during the Covid pandemic to get out of the city for a few hours safely - and saw that exorbitant fees they are charging during a crisis. SHAME ON YOU ENTERPRISE!!! I would suggest doing elsewhere - pro tip SIXT rental downtown has luxury cars for the same price as these lower model average cars. read more

This is the worst experience I've had renting any car!! I used my chase travel portal towars this rental purchase! I made the reservation on April 15th 2019 at 7:00pm. I went there to pickup the car, found out the office is already closed and nobody is there! Called the number they emailed me before and the agent said I'm sorry sir this office closes everyday at 7:00pm, I told him I had no idea and never received any information from you saying that! My plans are messed up and had to take the train to DC! The next day I called customer service to understand what happens when customers ask for late pickup!! after (7:00pm) the agent was so rude and never validated the inconvenience I had because of that, then I asked to speak with his supervisor, basically I got a more calm person repeating the same thing that the office is closed and it's not their mistake and I should have gone earlier and then they blamed the travel agency which is Expedia for not sending me this information!! Avoid at all costs! They don't care about their customers!!! read more

They used to be on 85th street but moved to this location not too long ago. Different spot but same great service and customer care! Quick, easy, and courteous. My favorite place for renting a car whether it be for weekend getaways or a work trip. No hidden fees and the staff who work here are terrific. Hours are a bit wonky on the weekends but it's located with a 24 hour garage so if running late there is no problem returning the car. You can trust the garage staff here. Have never had a problem returning after hours. What's great here is that a few times now I had reserved an economy car and these guys upgraded me to a sweet ride at no extra charge. I like that they walk you to your car and look it over to make sure all is ok. They explain things such as the insurance plans and fees but don't pressure you into making extra purchases. Very accomodating with special requests too based on vehicle preference. Also, reserving a car on their website is pretty easy. A major plus is that this Enterprise location seems to have much better rates as compared to what Avis or Hertz wants! Hot damn - more gambling and booze money for my Atlantic City weekends! read more

I have been using this location for many years and they've always been accommodating but recently I had a glitch that I'm hoping they can resolve that they always seem to find a resolution somehow especially being New York on the upper east side they have their challenges! They are very accommodating and helpful on them after I drop off which is so useful without paying for the extra day to check in your car and you're done so that is really terrific garage I don't know of any other locations do that but I'm very spoiled read more

The usual outstanding professionalism you get at just about any Enterprise. Very friendly and apologetic for even a short wait. Zero hard sell about insurance. The location is a little grungy, on the second floor of a garage. I've had some trouble getting the car type I reserved, in one case having a convertible forced on me for a family trip (in chilly weather!). My only real complaint, though, is the limited weekend hours. In addition to being inconvenient, that situation can create lengthy lines when they open at 3pm on Sundays. Still, the rates are good and the service is great, so (almost) all is forgiven. read more

I had the worst rental car experience of my life (twice!) at this location. First they gave away our car, then they blamed us and got our signature under pretenses that we damaged the vehicle. Avoid this location and Enterprise as a rental company at all costs. Don't be fooled by the good ratings, they are all pretty old. I had an Expedia car rental reservation at 9 AM couple of weeks ago, which was booked weeks before the trip. My husband and I showed up an hour later around at 10 AM, and waited about 30-40 minutes in a supposedly "socially distanced" line. When it was our turn, the representative said our reservation is dropped and they have a 30 min no show policy. There was NO note about this in the rental agreement fine print, NO notice, NO courtesy call about this policy anywhere and yet they decided to give our vehicle away. We asked if they can provide us another vehicle, even possibly another class but they said no and gave a piece of wise advice that "I wouldn't show up to a restaurant late if I had a reservation". I've been renting cars for years, it is absurd that such a policy is enforced without any information or notice, especially in say airports where schedules can change instantly. We had a vacation rental that was paid for to get out of the city amid COVID-19, so we needed to find a solution asap. We booked another vehicle at Enterprise Astoria, and we needed to get a cab before the location closes which was in 30 minutes. We had to risk our health and well-being by taking this trip and had we caught the virus this would be all Enterprise 80th Street location's fault. The staff in the Astoria location was thankfully very helpful and got us going quickly. So the story gets better and results in another terrible customer experience at 80th Street location. After we took the vehicle, we noticed a couple of scratches on the left door before we left the Astoria Enterpise location, but the representative that was helping us already moved on to another customer. We frankly thought it probably was either minor or already recorded by the representatives which in retrospect was a naive thought considering we're dealing with Enterprise. During the time I had the car, I have not gotten into any accident or parked the vehicle in a spot that could be damaged by others. We have returned the vehicle in the exact condition we received it to 80th St location, as if we haven't learned from the first terrible incident. When returning the vehicle to Manhattan 80th Street location, the representative identified the scratches on the left door. I have repeatedly declared that the scratches were already there when we picked it up. The representative said it is recorded and all set, I was told "I don't have to worry about the scratch, it's all good", and he got my signature for returning the vehicle. When I got home, I got an email saying I had gotten into an accident and they attached the return receipt with my signature declaring that! Looking at the receipt, I see that the damage is completely misrepresented as "Loss: Customer not sure how scratches occurred". My signature was taken in a rush and under false pretenses that this was for vehicle return. I had no idea I was acknowledging that I had damaged the vehicle and the representative knowingly seemed to have kept it that way. I have contacted Enterprise customer service to dispute this and get the records straight, who actually hung up on me while we were discussing the details. I have also sent an email to their claims department. I was supposed to hear back in 24 hrs, and of course, never heard back. Thankfully, I have purchased damage waiver so I feel safe. Ah as a side note, I contacted Expedia about the dropped reservation and they contacted Enterprise customer service for us to get a refund on the difference between the original dropped reservation and the new reservation. They confirmed it's all set and we should mention to adjust the price when we drop off the vehicle. Unsurprisingly, 80th Street location was completely unaware and unhelpful on this. I spoke to Expedia again, and they contacted Enterprise yet again. Still no word. Customer service just doesn't even exist for this company. You never hear back. Never again, Enterprise is an unprofessional corporation that doesn't care for its customers. read more

Avoid this location, agent never did a walk around, never asked if I needed ez pass, never recorded the gas, never asked if I wanted insurance, never asked to see my drivers license. Car was dirty, needed a front end alignment, tire needed air 10 mins after I drove the car. Then after I did return, tried charging me for 2 days, then claimed I scratched the car, but never notified me. Will never go here for rental again, worst experience I ever had renting a car. read more

All around great experience. Friendly, efficient staff (rented from Damian, returned to Brian); a clean, safe car; all in a very convenient location with no waiting. I had no pressure to buy optional insurance or gas 'pre-purchase' (in fact they gave $10 back when I returned the car with an extra 1/4 tank). The daily rate was a little higher than the cheapest rates I could find online at local airports or in Jersey, but the location can't be beat, and there are no extra airport fees charged. The Enterprise website said this location didn't have any vehicles available for 1-way rental (return to airport location), but when I called in they were totally accommodating and quoted me the same rate as the website. read more

We received our car right away and when we returned due to low tire pressure we were given a new car in under 15 minutes. The car was a brand new model and immaculately cleaned! Completely different than other car rental experiences! For years I have rented cars and generally had either a non-descript or glum experience in picking up and returning my car. Not the case for Enterprise Upper East Side at 300th East 80th. I was greeted so enthusiastically by Ami and Jack (Jatson) who made the entire check-in experience so fast and so gracious that I couldn't quite believe it. Off I went...feeling good from the start. And then for returning the car, I was lucky to get the Manager, Ronnie, who was similarly a total pleasure to deal with. It seems that things are different these days at Enterprise...starting from reserving and then all the way through. Office closed early and didn't tell the customers who had a reservation and left us stranded with one of their employees laughing at us while they closed out from inside. Literally laughing us at they left us without rental cars. Called to complain twice and they've refused to even return my calls to try to make it up to us somehow. I've rented from Enterprise before; overall,I have been satisfied with the service and it's convenient. One recurrent complaint I have is about how they clean the windows and mirrors. The inside windshield is always dirty, and the mirrors and rear window are either not dried leaving water spots or haphazardly or incompletely dried making it hard to see. This has happened enough that I now grab paper towels from the wash station before I leave the garage. With my last rental, the agent was very pleasant. I was not, however, at all satisfied with the rental. I had to clean the inside windshield and wipe down the outside mirrors myself...nothing new there. I am a club member which should count for something. I was given a car without Bluetooth (can't believe they even have non-Bluetooth cars in the fleet anymore; I was told that has to be requested but there's no option to check that off if you do an on-line rental) so it took time to get me a different car which pushed me back by about 15 minutes. Enterprise no longer issues paper rental agreements; you now sign for the rental on an iPad which when standing outside is very hard to read. When I went to put groceries in the car I found an empty beer carrier in the trunk area and a huge stick (that spanned the width of the car) in the back seat. Clearly, no one even inspected the inside of the car. I was given a modest discount when I returned the car but still. When I received the receipt a few days later I saw that the car was not logged in when I returned it and I was charged for an extra hour; I spoke with the manager upon returning the car standing right next to it while another agent checked the mileage. I was also charged for insurance I specifically said I did not want. All this was easily remedied but it took multiple phone calls. Most alarmingly I found out, only after the fact, that when a debit card is used Enterprise keeps the deposit for between 5 and 10 business days! That's not OK! There should be full transparency about this! Enterprise collects interest while my money is not available to me. I called the corporate office (left a message) and was never called back; I also filed a complaint with the Attorney General. I'll be curious to see if anyone from Corporate reads this and contacts me. read more

Terrible. I rented a car in advance for the weekend from this Enterprise location, and received a confirmation email. On the day of the rental, just one hour before my reservation began, I received a call from the office at this location on East 80th telling me that they had no cars available and that there was nothing they could do. I had to rent at another agency at the last minute at a substantial premium. I do not understand how this place expects to stay in business with total disregard for their customers. read more

I ran back over to their facility, only to be told the car was in fact there, but on the wrong floor. The idiot who caused this problem is named Saheed. Staff here are friendly enough, but they seem to operate under a completely different set of business rules and standards than Enterprise locations outside the city. Cons: Apart from the 400% "Manhattan markup" on rental rates (a compact car frequently rents for $160/day), this Enterprise location imposes mileage limits and you can't leave the Tri-State area without extra charges. If you book a one way rental online and your return destination is this one, be prepared for them to give you a hard time. Multiple times, I've been told there's 'no room' despite my booking and had to return to a different location in another part of the city. Pros: Convenient location Apologetic staff for having to follow the stupid NYC rules imposed by the management of this location. read more

This location was perfect for us to rent a car for the holiday weekend to get out of the city. Checking in was fast and the guy who helped us was very knowledgeable and nice. He gave us a few options for cars (no upgrades though) and we were on our way. The only issue we had was when we dropped off the car there was a line around the block! So we had to loop around and pull over on 80th street. Seemed like everyone decided to return around the same time or something?! One of the Enterprise guys came out and helped speed up our paper work and then 10 minutes later we moved up and was able to park and get out of the car. I think total wait time was 20-25 minutes. Once we got out check-out/dropping off the car was speedy. Definitely recommend this location. read more

Making reservations is easy, they are efficient and very clear when explaining pricing and when we need to bring the car back. Both times the cars worked great.
