I had a very disappointing and costly experience renting from Enterprise in Cancun. I booked my rental through Expedia for $245 and specifically selected additional insurance coverage, which was included in the price I paid. A few days before my trip, I received a text from Enterprise confirming my reservation and asking if I wanted to add insurance. Since I had already purchased coverage through Expedia, I checked "yes," assuming it referred to the same coverage. At no point was any price disclosed. When I arrived, the office environment felt more like a high-pressure sales floor than a professional rental counter. The agents acted more like commission-based salespeople, repeatedly pushing upgrades and additional charges. I declined multiple attempts to upsell me to a larger vehicle, only to be told they didn't even have the class of car I reserved and had to give me a larger one anyway. The real shock came when I returned the car. I was charged an additional $987. I later learned that by checking the box for "additional coverage," I had unknowingly agreed to insurance costing about $60 per day--far exceeding the cost of the rental itself. This was never clearly explained or disclosed. After returning home, I contacted customer service to explain that I believed I was confirming the insurance I had already purchased through Expedia. While they acknowledged the situation was "regrettable," they refused to issue any refund. I travel to Mexico frequently and have rented many cars, but this was by far the worst experience I've had. The lack of transparency and aggressive sales tactics are extremely concerning. I'm honestly surprised this location has so many positive reviews--my experience suggests many customers may not even realize how much they're being charged. We already paid so we should just suck it up. Landed at Cancun. The receptionist said that once we claimed our bags the bus would pick us up. We already notified and no one came after 30 minutes. Tried all the phone numbers I can think of, neighboring locations, customer service line and after hours. All broken even with a Mexican phone. We consulted for a taxi. $1000 pesos. No thanks We ended up walking near the location and one of us went to the building crossing the highway. Only then the party member sent a van to us to pick us up. Do not recommend. read more

Avoid this location at all costs. Abusive and retaliatory management. We had a confirmed reservation with Enterprise Rent-A-Car at Cancun Airport that was canceled by the location, despite the fact that when we called the Enterprise customer service number, we were explicitly told the reservation should have been held for 24 hours. At the airport counter, we were told the only option available was a different vehicle at four times the price of our original reservation. Because we were desperate for transportation to Tulum, we agreed. An Enterprise van then drove us to the rental lot. It was at the rental lot that we encountered the manager, Prats. When we calmly asked for written confirmation of the original cancellation and expressed frustration that we were receiving conflicting information from different Enterprise employees, his demeanor immediately became hostile. He stated that he would not rent a car to us because we were "arguing too much." At no point did we raise our voices or behave inappropriately. We asked Prats to explain what he believed we were arguing about, and he was unable to provide any explanation. Despite the fact that we had already agreed to rent a vehicle at a much higher price, he then refused to rent to us at all, claimed there were no vehicles available, and refused to provide any written cancellation notice. We were left without transportation at an international airport at night. Even one of his own employees encouraged us to document the incident. This was retaliatory, abusive, and completely unprofessional behavior from a manager. Enterprise corporate should seriously review who they allow to represent their brand at this location. read more

I have rented cars many times over the years and been satisfied with the experience, until now. I needed a two day rental while my car was in the shop. I called my local Enterprise location in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Unfortunately that local number now goes to a nationwide booker somewhere in the cloud. After a tedious, long process I got a quote and had to provide lots of information to reserve a car. When I asked about being picked up at my home, the booker said that I needed to call the local branch to arrange that! She couldn't connect me even though I called the local branch in the first place! So I call the local branch and used a special call to actually talk to the local branch only to be informed that they had no cars for rent!!!! How can a big car rental company with computerized nation-wide booking not know that a branch has no cars??!! So the whole process was a big waste of time!! What if I had not called the local branch? I would have showed up expecting the car I reserved with the Enterprise phone reservation operator and found there was no car waiting!! This is the worst customer service I can imagine! Such a shame! Horrible experience - misleading pricing up front, sprung a mandatory insurance requirement on us when we were at the desk (if it is mandatory why isn't it included in the original price so people can make a decision to rent or now??) and then gouged on the insurance costs which more than doubled our car rental price. DO NOT use Enterprise car rental or buy/rent ANY Nissan Rogue. THEY LEFT US STRANDED IN THE DESERT !!! Was on a trip through the Mojave desert in 110 heat with three adults and two little girls and the Nissan Rogue we rented from Enterprise broke down on the highway after about an hour of total travel. Enterprise would NOT send a tow truck, uber, or any other help. The highway patrol in the area said it is a reoccurring problem with Enterprise and Nissan Rogues that Enterprise is continuously leaving their customers stranded in dead vehicles. They wanted us to call California Highway Patrol and have them drive us in police vehicles 80 miles to the nearest enterprise rental car and get a new car, all of which would have been closed by the time we arrived (it was afternoon when the car broke down). They would not send an Uber because they claimed we had to be in a city to get an Uber; i.e, lying that Uber can't pick you up on the side of the road. Our destination was Las Vegas, the closest 24-hour-enterprise was in Las Vegas, and the AAA tow truck driver who ended up helping us said he would have had to drive the busted Nissan to the Las Vegas Enterprise anyway. They would not send us towards our destination, but all other directions East, West, and South from which we would have come and would have taken longer than getting to our destination. Stupid. All they had to do was send an agent out with a new car to their broken-door car, get us on our way, and take care of it on their end later. Our impression was that they stalled to make us pay to tow their car, which we did, having no choice. They were prepared to stall us out in the desert to not have to pay for us to complete the trip we rented their car for. They told us we couldn't leave their vehicle; that is, they cared more about their broken Nissan than our lives in the remote desert. The Nissan Rogue only had 40,000 miles of it when it busted. AAA, however, saved the day, I recommend you get them for auto insurance or keep them if you have them. They picked us up before Enterprise even had a tow truck lined up. When we dropped off the car the rep we spoke with said we would just have to pay for the tolls incurred which is $7.50. NEVER MENTIONING A $25.00 FEEE. After receiving a notice in the mail, I called their corporate office and spoke with a rep. She said she would waive the citation fee. I received an email today that they are charging me the $25.00 fee. I will put in a dispute with my credit card company for this because this is not right! Please don't get scammed like I did, so I rented my car about 3 weeks advance and upon arrival I got a call about my rental on how I needed to get upgraded since there was no more cars in my class. I then said no, since I'll take whatever is there, then when it came to run my documents "my driver's license" was bent and was told I couldn't use it (that if I get pulled over and my card is broken I could get car impounded) I ad to pay another 60 dollars for a added on driver. They forcefully terminated my contract without my consent, I did not receive any confirmation. They forced us out of their property and confiscated the rental car. Forced us to walk with Big luggage. The Apple car play of the rental car was not working, so we went back to the enterprise office to have them fix it. They could not fix it. Instead, they told us there was a dent in the car, and we had to pay for it. Interestingly, I could not see any dents in the car (pictures attached), but they kept insisting there was a small dent in the back. They were forcing me to admit that I made the damage and pay for it right there without any investigation. They forcefully charged us for a dent that is not even visible (pictures attached). We had the car just for a single day, and the car was never parked in a public place. Also, they came up with the dent after they had custody of the car for more than 20 minutes. This is a common scam/malpractice they run in Mexico. We had read a lot of reviews online about similar cases and just experienced this firsthand. Horrible!! we were there in person when this happened as we wanted to fix the Apple Carplay issue. We said the dent (if there is one at all) is not even visible with the naked eye, and we never parked the car in a public place, and no hit happened. The manager said they would still charge us and forced me to sign a document admitting I made the damage. I declined. Then they immediately canceled our contract without my consent and asked me to leave the property. But I denied it again, saying I still have a contract till June 4th. On June 16, 2025, my husband and I rented a car to take a trip we had been planning for the better part of a year. I talked my husband into renting a car from Enterprise, because if something goes wrong, we can call Enterprise and "they'll pick us up." We picked up our rental at a small branch in Hillsboro, Ohio. Our reservation for our 9-day trip had been made weeks in advance. We waited in the small office that had 1 employee desperately trying to answer the nonstop phone calls and take care of incoming and outgoing customers. Trystan was doing his best. As we completed our walk around of the 2024 Nissan Rogue, I asked who we call if something happens. Trystan gave me his card and said email me. Email me because I will never get to all the phone calls. We set out on our adventure. The car was great. Clean, comfortable, and had us discussing possibilities of buying one of our own. Then on June 23rd we were making our way home, we stopped at a rest stop 9 miles from Lexington, VA. We got back in the car and headed to merge back on the highway. The engine malfunction light lights up with warning bells and flashing lights. The car had entered "limp home mode." I will explain since no one at Enterprise seemed to understand this issue. We were now on the side of the road during a multi state heat wave in a car that would not exceed 10-15 MPH. We called roadside assistance. The person answering the phone at roadside did not speak much English, did not understand the gravity of the situation and ended up being no help at all. He told he was sending a tow truck and an Uber. We asked what do we do with our stuff? Is there going to be room for our luggage? He answered with "I don't know." Where is the car going? Can we retrieve our luggage from there? He answered, "I don't know." Where is Uber taking us? Are we getting a different car, where do we pick it up? The answer was the same. "I don't know." The only answer he did have is that Enterprise "WILL NOT pick you up." We voiced multiple concerns about the tow truck getting there before Uber then what? the answer continued to be I do not know. We ended the call. We received a text from the tow truck saying it would be at least 180 mins. Then we received a text from Uber say there was no one Available in the area. Then we received a text from Lyft saying there was no one in the area. There we were on the side of the road with only a tow truck 180 minutes away. Not knowing if the driver would allow us to ride with them. We called the Lexington, VA branch. The employee said they had no staff to get us and no cars available to rent us. He told us that the only available Enterprise rentals were in Roanoke, VA almost 2 hours away. In the meantime, we had sent an email to Trystan in Hillsboro, Ohio. Trystan called us and attempted to make calls on our behalf. After, ending our call with Trystan, we got a text from the towing company, they also were not available. So now, no one is coming to help. We are stranded at a rest stop with zero help from Enterprise. Trystan who was 6 hours away called back to tell us, he was getting no where with Enterprise Roadside Assistance, either. We turned to Google. We tried several suggestions from google to get the vehicle running with no tools, or help. We managed to clear the error, and the car began to function. We had to decide whether to leave the rest stop and try to make it to Lexington, VA where at least there was a town with a hotel or stay and keep trying roadside assistance. We risked it. We slowly made the 9-mile journey. We arrived at Enterprise Lexington. The employee told us if we waited, he might have something turned in by 5:00pm. We watched as two customers dropped off rentals and were given rides by Enterprise staff. We were told there was not enough staff at the Lexington branch to pick us up from the side of the road in their broken-down vehicle. Finally, after about an hour wait, they said if we could fit all our luggage from the SUV into a Chevy Malibu they could send us on our way. We agreed to try. We tightly packed all our stuff into a Malibu that had been sitting in the lot since before we arrived. The car smelled horrible like cigarettes and bad decisions, but we were on our way. We were checked on by Trystan a few times on our way home. When we arrived home, we found that the Malibu had been rented to us at the same rate and nothing had been done to compensate or correct the almost 4 hours of waiting and zero help from Enterprise. Trystan credited us the two days we had the Malibu and apologized multiple times that Enterprise had left us stranded. We had decided on Enterprise, because we thought they were more reliable, responsible, and reputable than other rental companies. We could not have been more wrong. We paid the higher rental cost for assurance that if anything went wrong, they would take care of us. Instead, they left us stranded in the middle of nowhere with no options for help. read more

I spent 10 years traveling for work 3-4 days/week, renting cars in every city I flew into, and this was hands down the WORST experience I've EVER had with a car rental. PSA - RESERVING A CAR FROM ENTERPRISE DOES NOT MEAN THEY WILL ACTUALLY HAVE ONE AVAILABLE FOR YOU, and they do not give one single f*@k about how much trouble that causes you. I was flying into McAllen late at night for a hearing the at 9 a.m. the next morning in Rio Grande City, 45 minutes away. I booked the car almost 2 weeks in advance. Called to make absolutely sure that I would be able to pick said car up at the airport at 11:30 p.m., was assured it was no problem, that the agent knew when I was arriving and would wait. Confirmed reservation that morning. Responded to the email later that day asking me to complete my paperwork online to expedite pick up, completed rental agreement, provided driver's license and credit card info. Arrived 30 minutes late due to flight delay to be informed by the incredibly surly representative - who made it a point to complain that he would have been gone a long time ago but for myself and the other customer arriving on that flight, who'd clearly just been told the same thing - that there were no cars available. I asked how that could possibly be, when I had a reservation, and he told me that I'd have to ask the manager because that's not his job. I asked what I was supposed to do, and he told me I could take an Uber to my hotel and come back the next morning to talk to the manager. I pointed out that according to the sign on the counter, they didn't open until 8 and explained that I had to be 45 minutes away by 9 am. He just shrugged. No apology, zero concern. Got to my hotel and spent 30 minutes frantically looking online for a rental car company in McAllen that opens before 8 a.m. FYI, there aren't any. I managed to get an Uber the next morning to take me to RGC only to discover after my hearing that there are no Ubers that operate in RGC, no taxies, and the closest rental car place was an Enterprise 34 miles away. Called them, hoping that since Enterprise's motto is "We'll pick you up" they could send a driver to pick me up. I explained the situation to the representative, repeatedly emphasizing that due to their failure to actually have the car I reserved available for me, I was literally stranded in a strange city with no means of transportation 45 minutes from the nearest airport. The representative assured me that he would "escalate the situation" to his regional manager and confirmed my call back number. That was at 10:00 this morning. It is now 3:32, and I haven't even received a call back. Thank god one of the staff at the courthouse noticed that I was still there 2 1/2 hours later and when I explained, said she was going through McAllen on her way to Edinburgh and offered me a ride. I missed the 12:30 flight and am now stuck at the airport until the only other flight out at 6 p.m., but if not for that incredibly kind stranger, I would still be stranded in the middle of nowhere thanks to Enterprise's stellar service. They do not honor the quoted price or rented car reservation. My car rental came out to be $360 without insurance with insurance came out to $780 out the door insane I know. Typically dont get insurance but bad weather and hurricane could hit during our visit. Within a day of our first car it needed to be exchanged advised they needed the mechanic to take a look to make sure it wasnt us that caused the damage to the drive shaft. The key was giving a low battery code but still functioning we couldn't find a battery so returned the car with the low battery code. Only to be told by Sebastián the manager that it could be the computer that is no longer working due to the key error. They couldnt return the $30k peso deposit and couldnt tell me what my total would be after returning the car. These people are out to scam you once my card got charged it was $1,300 dollars they couldn't tell me for what or why. My family member rented a car as well same situation up charging us for the same car and they got charged $200 dollars more then the contract as well. Stay away I rented twice from hertz and wanted to give Enterprise a chance never again. read more

Listen, all car rental places in Cancun are kinda weird. You're not in the USA anymore, but this place is as safe as it can get. The reality is that you either have to buy insurance or you have to have a large deposit put on your card. There's no going around it. My work code includes some insurance, so they only charge me half the deposit, and when I return the car, they refund it immediately. So really, you're going to have to have a couple of thousand USD in space on your card if you rent without insurance. The cars are okay, but you don't need luxury anyway. Radio and AC work well, so that's fine. I would actually recommend getting a smaller car, just to be able to navigate and park more easily, thought they only have 2 classes - economy and standard. This place is better than some super shady outfits in the USA, but if you know the rules, you'll be fine. read more

Rented a car with Enterprise via Expedia. Was worried after reading the reviews but it tuned out fine. Their office is branded as a National office as they are part of the same company. The National office is a quick walk from the terminal....go this location which is actually not the listed location of Enterprise on this page. They had several staffers there who were professional and courteous and spoke good English. Both pick up and return were easy. Just be careful to mark any dings and takes a video of the car BEFORE you leave their facility. ONE THING - we landed on a Sunday like 6pm and the Enterprise and National kiosks in the airport were both unmanned and the phone number listed on them for help did not go anywhere. I offered to accept my reimbursement in points, the best they would do is credit my account for $100 worth of points. $900 short. Then they stopped answering emails. Wrote a letter to corporate. When you arrive at the airport excited to start your vacation and get to your hotel the last thing you would expect is after a 30 min wait (shuttle from the airport plus paperwork even though it was pre-reserved) to get a car that had no gas in it. (Thank goodness my husband noticed it before we left). They offered a $20 credit but hello gas in Mexico is expensive so no. Please fill it up please. So another 25 minute wait since they had no car to swap it with. The car received was in 'decent' condition but we paid for a full size and received a compact. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservations was due i knew we would have to wait. They took all my info my CC and my ID then they came back and said sorry we dont have a van for you. I walked the parking lot and there were several vans they said those were already reserved so was mine! they didnt care the manager was no help he refused to give me his business card. 1 hour later they offered to give me a 15 passenger van that was stick shift. Yu know how hard it is to find parking for those things? I was ready to take it till he told me it would be right at $1900 US Dollars for 6 days! Plus a security deposit yeah that was insane he wouldnt give us anything else. Said we could rent two cars but no discounts. He refused to help us get another car from another Enterprise location or another agency. After this im thinking of giving up on Enterprise what good does it do to be a plus member if your going to be treated like this! So beware of this place we have never had issues renting cars in Mexico just dont rent from the Cancun Enterprise/National cause you will be dissapointed. read more

We have rented from Enterprise 3 times now and it has always gone very smoothly. They pick us up pretty quickly from the airport and get us in our car pretty quickly also. Returning has never been an issue. We have always been charged what is quoted and the staff are very friendly. As we will be returning to the area a lot, we will continue to rent from them every time. I know some people have complained they add a mandatory fee for insurance-if you do your research, you will see this is a Mexican government requirement, unless your US car insurance will cover your driving in Mexico (which is highly unlikely). It does add to the cost, but there is no way to get around it. read more

This review is for Enterprise located at 5201 Auth Rd., Camp Springs, MD 20746. Rented a vehicle while my vehicle was being repaired due to accident. Coverage for rental paid for by my insurance. Absolute worst rental experience I've ever had! The first vehicle I was given had been involved in an accident, which was apparent by dented bumper. I was told this was the only vehicle available. I left with this vehicle due to appt on my schedule. I requested another vehicle. I had to keep calling repeatedly to see when another vehicle would be available after being told someone would contact me. After requesting to speak with management due to a lack of response I was told to return my vehicle because a replacement had been found. I was told to return a day later for a vehicle to replace the one I was given. The second vehicle was in better condition but smelled like a smoking room. Given my schedule I decide to accept this vehicle. I was never informed that my second vehicle would exceed the minimum payment from my Insurance company. When I returned the vehicle I was charged a fee I did not expect to pay. I notified the management of this and NO ONE from management has tried to contact me to resolve my issue. I've left several messages with no replies from management. I feel as if I was played! If you need to rent a vehicle my advice is to avoid THIS location! read more

They threaten to have the police stop you for speeding unless you pay them they also tell you you must pay them in cash or they will charge you extra insurance even though you have proven you have third-party liability. I rented a car from Enterprise Victorville. I reserved a compact. When I arrived and was going thru the choices of vehicles, I was directed to SUV's. When I mentioned to the young lady that I had reserved a compact car, she informed me that the suv that she was showing me was actually the smallest suv that they had for the day. I went on and continued with the rental because I needed the car, but I would have appreciated a call prior to me going so that I would have been given a heads up to maybe rent somewhere else. We rented a car in Seattle for a week for a family trip, a large vehicle that would seat 6, we picked up our Nissan Armada (they gave us a choice of vehicles) and left the rental place, upon getting on the freeway I realized the drivers mirror on the door was broken. We immediately went back and within 10 minutes we literally had a brand new vehicle with 500 miles on it. They were very professional and accommodating. Word of caution to anyone who rents from here: these guys are not the Enterprise we know in the United States. At least that is what I've been told. I booked a car from the Enterprise website here in the U.S. When I went to this location, they charged me in pesos. Since they also add some security fee, I didn't convert their charge in dollars to see if it matched my booking. The car itself was fine. When I returned the car and found out my final charge, it was $50 more than what I had booked through the website. There was no reason given for this, it just happened that they charged more than I booked. When I brought this up with the Enterprise customer service here in the U.S., I was told that the branch here is 'separate' from them and that i'll have to contact the branch in Cancun directly and ask them for a refund. Long story short, I contacted this office. They said they'll refund me $35 of the $50. Again, no reason or logic given to it, just that they'd return this much only. After spending some effort on this, it wasn't worth fighting for the remaining $15. All in all, rent here if you wish. Just be mindful that if theres a wrong charge then theres not much you can do to get it back. Enterprise in the U.S. will disown them and the people here will just decide on a whim if they want to give you the money back or not. read more

We got punked. Made reservations here a month in advance. Was told we would be picked up at the airport by an Enterprise shuttle. Instead spent almost two hours curbside waiting for a shuttle, hot and tired, watching shuttles for every other car rental place come and go, trying to call the offices. No one answered. We arrived at 4 pm on a Monday so it wasn't even a weird time. Ended up getting rescued by Hertz. Thanks Hertz! read more

Corrupt Business! Declined insurance and all other items during pickup. Informed of large deposit required but would be refunded upon return of vehicle. Returned vehicle undamaged and full of gas. Employee inspected vehicle and informed me that everything was good. Credit card charge was over $400 more than original estimate. Will dispute charge with credit card company. Reserved vehicle through Priceline, they should not offer this business on their website. read more

If i could give a "0" star i would. Enterprise, Burlington, NJ shouldn't even exist. Seriously! I rented a Mini van, was given a confirmation number and even called the main customer service number to confirm. On the day of pickup I was told I wasn't in the system even though I tried to show them my confirmed reservation number. I was told, and I quote, "that doesn't do any good because it would be under your name and e-mail address". But here's where it really gets good. I was told to contact another branch to see if they could accomodate me. So I called 2 other locations. One told me Kick Rocks and the other one told me they could help me IF i could get there in 10 minutes even though it was a 20 minute ride. As i pleaded my case the time allowance dropped to 5 minutes!! I couldn't make this up if i tried! The representative LITERALLY changed 10 minutes to 5 minutes as we were talking eventhough he knew what happened to me at BURLINGTON, NJ ENTERPRISE!! Now mind you this minivan was so my son, his wife and my grandchildren could go to Disney World. So you can imagine the sadness, stress and overall anxiety that was running through us. Next I tried for a Hail Mary so I frantically called the main customer service number and they SAW my reservation number and couldn't explain why i was told incorrect information at THE BURLINGTON, NJ ENTERPRISE. The representative apologized for the inconvenience and said she was going to e-mail her manager and try to resolve the situation for me. Lo and behold NOT A PEEP FROM HER OR HER "MANAGER". I speak 100% absolute truth!! However, there is a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow and I will share this as well. My son got ahold of Enterprise, Camden, NJ and those guys helped us at the very last moment. They had the van we needed and the day was saved. GREAT GUYS THERE!!! But wouldn't you THINK that customer service or even the Buffoons at Enterprise, Burlington, NJ could have gotten ahold of Camden immediately??? NOPE!!! We had to do the foot soldiering ourselves. If I EVER rent from Enterprise again I am going directly to Enterprise, Camden, NJ and will never contact customer service and I don't even want to think about Enterprise, Burlington, NJ again! DO NOT USE ENTERPRISE CANCUN AIRPORT! It is not the American Enterprise -- it is a group of scammers. I GOT SCAMMED OUT OF $2,700 USD! When I rented the car they told me I needed to buy their ridiculous price insurance or pay 53,000 pesos ($2700) as a deposit. I paid the deposit with AMEX. At the end of my rental I returned the car. No issues with the car and I have their signature on the return documents. They said no problem they would refund the entire deposit immediately. Several weeks later no refund. I spent hours trying to call them to find out what happened to my deposit. The Enterprise US was no help at all they would only forward my inquiry to the Cancun Airport office. This Cancun "Enterprise" is a run-down little office with old high mileage beat up cars. I spent an hour documenting all the dings in the car when I rented it and it was the least beat-up car they had. Now here I am a month later and I am out $2700USD plus the money I paid to rent the car. I dont know how they can call themselves Enterprise when they are obviously not associated with the US Enterprise and they are just a band of crooked scammers. read more

I have been using Enterprise for years and they always were the first car rental company i would go to, however i had the worst experience in this location in Cancun. I reserved the car online and once arrived on site they wanted a proof of ID (Book Passport). I had only Card Passport (Who travels with book passport now a days???). They said this is their law and "Book Passport" is necessary in order to get the car. I was left with no car and wasted hours of my vacation time to find new car that cost me double because i had no reservation in advance. HERTZ and other car rental companies didn't even asked for passport. They only asked regular ID. No one ever asked me for Book Passport and I rent cars many times in Mexico. ENTERPRICE lied to me. There is no requirement for Book Passport. Called Enterprise HQ and they said they will Report the Cancun location and keep me updated. Haven't receive from them either. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED. read more

This past week we rented a compact car at the Knoxville Tyson Airport, 2055 ALCOA HWY, ALCOA TN 37701, but were given an upgrade so that was #1. Then #2, I misplaced my cell phone and found out it was left in the car. An Enterprise employee, Evan, helped my daughter to retrieve it. They contacted the next customer. That customer found it and had it returned. Then it was shipped back to me. It looks just as I left it! It was an expensive lesson. I know my story is unusual as many don't get back that kind of find, so for that I am so grateful!! Thanks again to all involved! read more

This experience in Cancun was seamless. Inside the airport there is a desk with all of the other rental companies. The enterprise desk was very cordial and quickly escorted us to the office which is like. 5 min drive just outside of the airport. Both drivers, to and from were very cool. The experience continued to be great while checking out the car etc. we paid for the Enterprise Protection Package for peace of mind and there was no up-selling at the desk. The car itself had no problems and was clean pretty much perfect. Upon dropping off the car, Alex Prats handled our return. It seemed as though he went above and beyond for us and we really appreciated that. No extra charges or any funny business. With all of the horror stories about renting cars in Mexico, none of them met our experience. We could not have been happier with the service and the car. We will definitely use them next time we are in Mexico!! read more

The pick-up was fairly smooth. By the time we got to the counter inside the airport, walked to the shuttle van and reviewed the car, we were on our way within about 30 minutes. But, within the first 10 minutes of driving, a loud flapping noise came from under the driver's seat. Rather than turn around and deal with the inevitably long wait to swap out the car for a problem that should have never been mine in the first place, I drove another 10 minutes until I got to my resort. I called Enterprise that night, but nobody answered. I called again the following day and the person I spoke to advised somebody would call me back in 10-15 minutes. That call never came. I then called two more times the same day, and got fed the same story and still nobody called. I had no choice but to call again the following day because I was traveling outside of Cancun and needed the car replaced. Finally, someone brought me a new car to the resort and swapped out the broken one. I then insisted I not be charged for the first two days since the car clearly had a problem. Without much resistance, they acquiesced and I only paid for the days with the new car. read more

I had reserved a rental online through Enterprise's website on July 12 and received an email stating that my reservation for August 9 at the Falmouth, MA office was "confirmed." After taking the ferry from Martha's Vineyard to Woods Hole and an Uber from Wood's Hole to the Falmouth Enterprise location I was told that "no vehicles were available." After protesting about my confirmed reservation from 3 weeks ago, I was told that Enterprise had tried getting more vehicles in, but they never came and that more would be available late that afternoon. After telling the employee I needed to be at a lunch conference at noon I was again told that "no vehicles were available." Terrible way to treat a customer - confirm their reservation, have no vehicle available for them, and not even bother to email them or call them prior to their travel starting. read more

I was apprehensive renting a car in Mexico, there were so many mixed reviews online. Renting with enterprise was seamless. Miraslava was AMAZING! She welcomes us initially and took care of us from start to finish. She was extremely knowledgeable and explained their policy in full detail and even knew my credit card policy (AMEX). The car rental was $28 total for 4 days before Insurance. My Amex covered mostly all the Insurance's (CDW and PAI) the only additional insurance was TPL (Third Party Liability) which was $16/day. The rental car total with insurance and taxes for 4 days came to $94. If you add the TPL, the deposit is $500. IF you decline the TPL, be prepared to have a least a $1000 hold on your credit card. Moral of the story, pay the insurance. I left feeling like I had nothing I worry about. I would definitely recommend renting with Enterprise when in Cancun, the service is great and everything was clear. read more
