I really liked the car I had, it drove smooth. The only thing was the brakes were super sensitive. I slammed on them on them hard many times just by touching them. I had one problem with the billing I did not understand. I was charged for a driving and delivery but the mileage was free. I called to get clarification but didn't get any. The person I spoke to said she was an assistant manager but I could hear someone in the background coaching her on what to say. When I asked to talk to them she said they were talking on the phone not to her. I didn't appreciate being patronized like that. Because she could not explain and we were not getting anywhere she took the price off. I still never understood why that charge was on there. I liked the rep that went over the details of the car with me. He was very friendly, nice and polite. He said he had just started. He had a good disposition. I hope he keeps it. read more

Was really hesitant about this location due to the past reviews from years ago but I'm glad I decided to give them a try! New Employees, New Management and New Cars! The assistant manager Kashia helped me, making it a smooth and easy process! Even the other employee who walked up to assist another customer, greeted me before assisting the next customer. Other rentals I've received from other locations have sometimes had an odor of old water or smoke. I can safely say that this was not an issue at this location! The vehicle had a new car smell and the vehicles they have available are clean and newer vehicles. I leave 1 star because I can't give less. Enterprise has added charges on 2019 to my name from February 2010. I have never been contacted about these charges before 8/14/2019 when I tried to rent a car from them, and they informed me they couldn't rent me a car because of those charges. After several attempts of reaching a person at the number they provided I reached Robert (employee number: E321YH) that told me they had no information on these charges just that it happened on February 2010. They had no information about what car, where it was rented, for how long, who rented it, how it was paid, or anything of use to find out why I had those charges. They then said that a manager would contact me soon. That did not happen. I received an email from a collection agency this morning and that is the only thing I've heard about this matter. I have rented cars from Enterprise after the date they provided, and this issue never came up until now. My phone number has remained unchanged since 2005. My address has been the same since the 90s. I was in the middle of my first semester of university at my hometown driving my own car during those dates. The little information Enterprise has does not match anything that was going on in my life at the time. This are definitely fraudulent charges placed on my name recently. I'm not sure how exactly Enterprise messed up, but it could be signs of a bigger problem such as a security breach on customers' data or corrupt practices by the company or employees. Needless to say, I will be avoiding this company for the rest of my life and I would advice everyone to do so as well. My husband was told to rent a car from this Enterprise because his truck was broken into and it was in the shop. Our insurance was paying $35 per day for the car rental. We always get the extra insurance, so we knew we would need to pay for the insurance and what monies were over $35 per day. When we took it back after 2 days, they charged us for 3 days and told us that "it's not like the usually renting a car"! They overcharged us and just wanted that extra day because they knew insurance was paying for it! We rent a lot of cars because of travel and NEVER go to Enterprise! I will not come again to the location on Braeswood in Southwest Houston. The manager thinks that she owns the company the way she talked to me on the phone. She was not only arrogant but rude. I explained about the car i was renting was to go to El Paso with my dog and my partner since they said they would be picking me up at 4;00 That did not happen. She shows up in a two door small car for me and i said that is not going to work. She said this is all im going to give you. I said why are you being so arrogant and rude, She said oh you want a free upgrade i said no, I said i need a more comfortable car and we will choose another one when we get back. I again explained to her because my sister had a major medical emergency. We start driving off and i said again this will not work. She pulled back into my condo complex and said get out of the car, i said no. She said if i don't get out of the car she was going to call the police. She then called her officer and said she will be late as she is having a problem here. The employee said you need me to come and help you instead of the cops, She said no. She said get out of the car and started calling the police. as soon as I got out she stormed out of our complex and ran a red light. I called immediately to Corporate and they got me on the phone with a customer account rep. right away. The rep said that this location will not be renting to me because of what the manager had said. She said try another location. Thank god for the location near NRG Stadium, they not only got me a car but they saw how upset i was and gave me a bigger car than what was first given. I gave their staff Christmas candy for being the ones who know how to handle a customer. I write this so that Corporate and Area managers should not be promoting individuals who are out only for money and their egos. I called asking for a rental, and the lady on the phone was awesome. She booked me a reservation and I went on my merry way to this location. I checked in to get my rental (which I reserved, including unlimited miles) and spoiler alert: walked away again with no car, and a waste of my time. I handed over my license, credit card, and insurance. Was told that the credit card was not good enough and that now I need to produce a paystub or utility bill. He could see we were now mad and asked us how long we lived at our current address. We told him I've lived at my current address for 25 years, and why would I bring a pay stub or utility bill with me, on top of that the bills are in my PARENTS NAME. The other condition was, if I was married to the person on the card, they could rent a car to me. My mom replied, but this is my daughter. He magically understood that but I was still denied. I said , I was not told about this when I CALLED. He saw my mom's work uniform and said for $10 extra a day, we could put the rental under her name, and add me as the driver. WOW $10 magically fixes everything, and I/we don't have to produce stubs or utility bills. We asked can you just run it under my mom's credit card then. But that was a no-go and was told about the $10 "deal". He said the card must be in the drivers name because if we were to run it under my mom's card, she could dispute the charge. So, we asked for an authorization letter from her to allow me to use the card. He said they can't do that either. I asked about debit which is "instant cash" but they refused. I kept most of my composure, but told him this was the biggest load of crap I have ever heard of. A credit card can be disputed, no matter who's name it's in, even mine. Debit card is instant "cash" no dispute... and guess what, I have the pin # to authorize the deal. Who does not have an authorization letter? Where has the common sense gone? My first time to rent a car and Maya made it very easy. She was patient at answering all my silly questions. Although I had a reservation I upgraded it when I arrived and again Maya was smiling and reassuring the whole time. She was thorough and professional. For being such a small little location, it stays hopping. The phones were ringing and a few people were coming and going when I picked up and dropped off. I understand that this type business has its rush moments so therefore its not my place to be upset if I have to wait. Customer oriented businesses will always have to manage personal accordingly as the flow of people and phones is ALWAYS hard to gauge. But if the personal acknowledges the persons waiting or on the phone, most people will be understanding as long as they see you are working steadily.
