I had to use this place because of the insurance company. I wish I could leave a zero star rating. They are impossible to get a hold of by phone, they forgot to pick me up at a scheduled pick up time. DO NOT COME HERE! Update to this, then when I get here they don't even have my vehicle ready. I have to wait two hours to get one. Then it smells like smoke, so I guess the smoke free guarantee is wrong. So I bring it back the next day for a replacement and guess what it smells like smoke, and I find a cigarette butt on the floor. The customer service is terrible here and the service is extremely slow. Waited over 30min just to turn my keys in and they don't answer the phone. They need more staff. The girl that took care of me was not polite at all. When she was done she just handed me the keys and left for lunch. Didn't tell me which car it was and they have a huge parking lot. She just said press the alarm And you'll find it. I could find it. I had to go back in for another associate to help me. She asked for a credit card and said that nothing would be charged on it that it was just a hold for incidents. They charged it, Big Star Cadillac paid my bill so they charged us twice. Hands down one of the WORST locations. Guy is nice and has great customer service skills but thats about all on the good comment section. Wait time is .. ridiculously long. They rented me a 2020 Chevy Malibu- with faulty air conditioning. I do not recommend this location for anyone unless you are fine with being issued an electric vehicle since that is all they ever seem to have available. An electric vehicle is just too inconvenient in this city since there are not too many places to charge without taking over 3 hours to get somewhat of a charge to last half a day. read more

I made a reservation weeks in advance for a rental while my vehicle was being repaired. I got to the rental counter and was told that there were no cars...Sorry. Then I wanted to change my reservation to a different day and was told (and I am absolutely not making this up) "Sorry, it's past your pick-up time, we can't change it." I patiently explained that there were no cars available and I didn't really pick it up, so logically I should be allowed to change the reservation. This was met with a blank stare. After 30 minutes of phone trees and hold time from the national reservation system, I was finally able to change the reservation--but it was not in any way easy. And then they had the nerve to make me pre-pay for the new reservation--"because I failed to pick up the car for my initial reservation." It was like a celebrity-prank reality show. I kept expecting Ashton Kutcher to jump out and say "You've been punked!" And of course I was still stranded in a strip mall in SE Houston. This place made me wait for 30 minutes after I'd already made reservations and then told me that they didn't have the car that I reserved online. And then tried to charge me an additional service fee for insurance even though I had already purchased it online. They also charge me for a second day even though it was their fault that the keys could not be returned on time because their building was locked and they had maintenance issues. Reserved a car (Presidential Club) to pick up at Hobby airport- Houston. Shuttle arrived after waiting 45 minutes and driver does not open the shuttle doors. Instead she comes out and tells the crowd that "if you had a reservation - we do not have any cars to rent out". How is it possible to have a reservation, and then arrived only to find that there are no Cars available? We have been unsuccessful at reaching any live person at Hertz to remedy our situation. We have had to spend $200 per ride in Uber to get where we are going on this trip. We have yet to receive an email from Hertz apologizing for the inconvenience. This is the absolute worst service I have ever seen from what I believed was a reputable company. Today, two days after our arrival, I was able to reach a lady at Hertz who gave me a phone number to contact during business hours only who might be able to compensate us for our inconvenience. I had a really great experience, renting from this location, in particularly with the Ms. Kristi. I'd called around all day trying to find a rental after hurricane Harvey and by a stroke of luck, she answered my call and took care of me the moment I walked in. There were some rude guest waiting, as Hertz ran out of vehicles during their wait, which again, is to be expected given several thousand people lost their cars at the dame time. Nevertheless, the staff remained professional and handled their business. If I'm ever in need of another rental, I'll be sure to use this location first or another Hertz in general. read more

I recently rented a car at this location 12804 Gulf Fwy Houston, TX 77089 and the Service agent working Saturday march 4, 2017 at the front desk gave me such a bad service. I will never go there again. When returning my car he spoke to me rude when I ask questions on my account. He also told me my State Farm insurance had not made payment for the car and acted as if it was my fault. I was just finalizing the end of my rental. My guess is that's why the insurance had not sent a check. I'm also guessing this is not his job to worry about insurance payments he should service customers. I rented a vehicle due to insurance recommended and this was the worse car rental experience ever! They gave me a car with worn out tires! Took the time from my lunch to take to Firestone because that's what I was told to do by hertz since low air pressure light kept coming on after I put air on the tires. Firestone suggestion tires be replaced manager McKayla only had them replace one tire! After refusing to drive a car with worn out tires because I did not feel it was safe to drive an hour everyday to work She said she could have car towed and i would have to figure out a way to get home! Having no other way to get home I drove it to hertz told mckayla that I may be late because rain and traffic she said if I took to different location I was going get charged a fee! I made it there 5:58 with no time to spare to put gas, half a tank and I'm getting charged $60!!!! I am very disappointed with the service I have received from Hertz. I have a rental car from the Hertz located at 12804 Gulf Freeway, Suite 600, Houston, Texas 77034. I was rear-ended a month ago and the insurance company of the person who hit me sent me to this location. The staff at this location told me that they would work with the collision center and the insurance company to extend the vehicle rental until my car is fixed. I received a phone call this morning from Rodney (he refused to give me his last name, he said "it didn't matter") who told me that the insurance company said they will not pay for my car after last Friday. After questioning Rodney, I found out that they did not contact the collision company or the insurance company to extend the rental like they said they would. I told him that I don't have a car and I cannot return it today, and that they insurance company is supposed to pay for it. He accused me of stealing the car and said he would report the car stolen to police. I cannot believe that Hertz would be ok with their employees treating people like this, especially since we are in this situation because Hertz didn't do their job. At this time, Hertz has also charged my credit card, without giving me an opportunity to resolve this with the insurance company. I will never, ever use Hertz again. read more
